A mathematical model developed earlier [8] is used to make a numerical investigation of the mechanism and wave dynamics of a process in layered strata consisting of hydrodynamically connected layers with different flow parameters. A study is made of a micellar solution with an exterior hydrocarbon phase, i.e., a solution that on contact with the stratal fluids forms a two-phase structure: a hydrocarbon fluid (micellar solution and stratal oil) and water with polymer admixture. A model of miscible displacement of incompressible fluids from a fractured porous medium is proposed. The model describes the process of displacement of oil by solvents, the cycling process of displacement of aliphatic hydrocarbon gas by dry gas at low repressions on the formation, and other processes of single-phase multicomponent displacement from fractured porous media. The modified phase permeability model [1, 2] is extended to the case of vertical displacement with allowance for the force of gravity. It is assumed that in connection with vertical displacement a thicker dometype formation may be regarded as a stream tube of variable cross section. An exact solution of the one-dimensional displacement problem is constructed. It is shown that in vertical displacement from heterogeneous formations the gravity forces stabilize the displacement, so that at low velocities it approaches displacement of the pure piston type. The micellar-polymer method of increasing the oil recovery from strata [1] is currently regarded as promising. The method consists of injecting into an oil stratum, which has previously undergone ordinary flooding, a relatively small amount, a slug, of micellar solution (5–10% of of the pore volume), which is propelled through the stratum by slugs of a highly viscous buffer fluid (aqueous solution of a polymer). In turn, the system of slugs is propelled from the injection points to the extraction wells by the water used for ordinary flooding. The displacement of the oil that remains after flooding in the stratum is achieved by a decrease in the coefficient of surface tension at the boundaries of the micellar solution with the oil and the water to the value 10–2-10–3 dyn/cm, which leads to a decrease in the amount of fixed oil and also to a control of the mobility of the fluids, which is achieved by varying the concentrations of the components of the micellar solution and the buffer fluid. The main components of micellar solutions are: a hydrocarbon fluid (oil or its fractions), water, surface-active substances. The relationships between the main components, and also the addition of salts and alcohol to the water component have a strong influence on the interaction between the solution and the stratal oil and water [2]. Knowledge of the geometrical properties of porous rocks is crucial for the evaluation of their hydrocarbon potential. A major problem in quantitative formation evaluation is to provide a physical basis of Archie's equations first published in 1942, which are widely used in formation evaluation and are believed to reflect this knowledge empirically. Our study, a theoretical model-based approach, provides a physical basis of Archie's first equation (Archie I) and puts it up for scientific discussion. We employ the statistical network model theory of Schopper, and take sedimentation and favorable diagenetic conditions restricted to compaction into account. We find that compaction is a prominent geological feature that needs to be considered and quantified in order to establish a physical basis of Archie I. Our interpretation of Archie I – that it measures in relative terms – is in agreement with this finding, but not in line with the mainstream view, which interprets Archie I in absolute terms. Evidence suggests that compaction may also provide the overarching physical basis to address within-well integration of borehole–geophysical data (including resistivity data) as well as their integration across spatial scales from well-to-well and beyond. Although our more consistent understanding of Archie's first equation clearly helps to advance today's evaluation of resistivity logs, the gain in evaluating these logs is still not satisfactory.  相似文献

A method has been developed for investigating the relative permeabilities of porous media for oil and for aqueous solutions of polymers; experimental equipment has been developed for determining the phase permeabilities by a stationary method. Investigations were made of the influence of polyacrylamide additives on the change in the relative permeabilities for the simultaneous flow of water and a nonpolar hydrocarbon liquid. It was established that addition of the polymer can lead to a simultaneous reduction in the relative permeability for the wetting liquid and an increase for the nonwetting liquid. The phase permeabilities were obtained for oil and water moving behind a fringe of polymer substance. It was established that the phase permeability for the water phase is a function of the saturation and the amount of sorbate. In planning for the underground storing of liquid hydrocarbons and calculating the technological parameters of underground reservoirs formed by leeching from a rock salt massif, it is necessary to understand the hydrodynamic and heat transfer processes produced by natural convection. The paper is devoted to numerical study of the initial stage of convective heat transfer in a vertical cylindrical cavity completely filled with a liquid hydrocarbon. It is assumed that at the initial time the temperature of the liquid, which is at rest, is homogeneous, Convective flow develops in part due to the initial temperature difference between the liquid and the massif and partly due to the geothermal temperature gradient in the latter. The problem is regarded as coupled, the convective process in the liquid being determined simultaneously with the solution of the heat-conduction problem in the surrounding rock. The Grashof numbers characterizing the intensity of the real process are very large: G lO12–lO15. A numerical solution was obtained for moderate Grashof numbers G lO7–lO11. Soot precipitation from a vertical laminar hydrocarbon flame onto a rod mounted outside the flame and having the same negative potential as the burner is investigated experimentally. The voltage-current characteristics of the burner-rod-upper grid electrode system and the currents flowing to each of these elements are determined when both negative and positive potentials are supplied to the burner. The pattern of growth of the soot deposition on the rod with increase in the negative potential is studied. The following fundamental effect is revealed: there is no soot extraction when the burner potential is positive. The paper proposes methods for increasing the survivability of light–gas guns, including new designs and nonconventional modes of shot. It is established theoretically and experimentally that a decrease in the cone angle of the conical adapter to 2.5 — 3° leads to a severalfold increase in the survivability of the high–pressure chamber. A compound piston with a liquid or gel–like filler is designed. The mode of shot from a light–gas gun with superlight pistons and without a diaphragm is justified and tested experimentally. Conical and measuring adapters with liners made of thermally– and wear–resistant alloys are designed to prevent ablation of the light–gas gun barrel.  相似文献

This paper describes the development and evaluation of temperature-compensated resistance strain gages for use to 800°C. These gages included single-element gages and double-element half-bridge gages. The filament of single-element gages was fabricated from specially developed Fe–Cr–Al–V–Ti–Y alloy wire. When bonded to high-temperature Ni-based alloy GH39 after stabilization at 800°C for one hour, the apparent strain from room temperature to 800°C was less than 2000 m/m. Double-element gages were fabricated from Pt–W–Re–Ni–Cr–Y alloy wire (active grid) and Pt–Ir alloy wire (compensating grid). When bonded to different high-temperature alloy specimens and stabilized, and when ballast resistance in series with the compensating grid adjusted suitably, the gages' apparent strains from room temperature to 800°C were less than 2400 m/m.Effects of preoxidization of Fe–Cr–Al wire on the characteristics of the single-element gages are described.  相似文献

The specific features of plastic–strain macrolocalization at the stage of the parabolic law of strain hardening in samples from industrial zirconium–based alloys are considered. It is shown that in predeformed blanks, zones with a different character of plastic–strain localization are formed. It is also shown that the strain–localization macropattern can be used as a characteristic of the susceptibility of a material to further plastic form–changing, for example, upon tube rolling. The sign of fracture of alloys upon plastic deformation is revealed. The scale effect in the formation of localizedplastic–flow zones is shown and studied.  相似文献

The proton energy distribution generated from the interaction of an intense (2 ≈ 1020 W/cm2 μm2) short-pulse (100 fs) laser with a thin foil is investigated using energy resolved measurements and 2D collisional PIC-hybrid simulations. The measured absolute proton spectrum is well matched by a 1.7 MeV exponential function for energies <11 MeV. The proton conversion efficiency from hot electrons ≈6%. Simulations predict a strong radial dependence on the maximum proton energy and on the radial extent of 12 Å hydrocarbon depletion region. C and O ions in the hydrocarbon layer gain significant energies, limiting the efficiency to the protons. The efficiency scaling for ion mixtures is derived using a simple model, and is shown to strongly depend on the cooling rate of the hot electrons. Simulations using hydrogen-rich, layered targets predict much higher efficiencies.  相似文献

A conjugation problem for radiative–convective heat transfer in a turbulent flow of a high–temperature gas—particle medium around a thermally thin plate is considered. The plate experiences intense heating from an outside source that emits radiation in a restricted spectral range. Unsteady temperature fields and heat–flux distributions along the plate are calculated. The results permit prediction of the effect of the type and concentration of particles on the dynamics of the thermal state of both the medium in the boundary layer and the plate itself under conditions of its outside heating by a high–temperature source of radiation.  相似文献

A method to determine the non-linear viscoelastic constitutive constants from indentation force–displacement data corresponding to different indentation speeds has been developed. The method consists of two parts. In the first part, the force–displacement data is expressed as two functions which represent the strain and the time-dependent responses, respectively. From these functions, the time-dependent constants and the instantaneous force–displacement response are obtained. In the second part, the strain-dependent variables are determined from the instantaneous force–displacement response through an inverse analysis based on the Levenberg–Marquardt method. For ceramic matrix composites, the pushout test is the most widely used test for finding the two mechanical properties of the fiber–matrix interface – (1) the coefficient of friction and (2) the residual radial stress. Experimental measurements from the pushout test do not directly give the values of these two mechanical properties of the fiber–matrix interface, but need to be regressed to theoretical models. Currently, approximate theoretical models based on shear–lag analysis are used for regression. In this paper, the adequacy of the shear–lag analysis model in accurately finding the mechanical properties of the fiber–matrix interface is discussed. An elasticity solution of the pushout test based on boundary element method is developed. Regressing one set of available experimental data from a pushout test to both shear–lag analysis and boundary element method models gives values differing by 15% for the coefficient of friction but similar values for the residual radial stress. Parametric studies were also conducted to show the difference between the shear–lag analysis and boundary element method results for factors such as fiber to matrix elastic moduli ratios, coefficient of friction and fiber volume fractions.  相似文献

The flow from the tip of a needle electrode is caused by the Coulomb force acting on the space charge [1–3]. This charge is formed because of the dependence of the conductivity on the temperature, nonuniformity of which is due to Joule heating [1] and the electric field intensity [2] or processes near the electrode [3–5]. The present paper considers the stability of a dielectric liquid between spherical electrodes in order to elucidate the possibility of a thermoelectrohydrodynainic flow due to Joule heating. When a plane shock wave impinges on bodies with grooves and when a supersonic stream of gas flows past such bodies a complicated flow pattern develops. In a number of cases oscillations of the bow wave [1–3] and an anomalous heating of the gas in the groove [4–6] have been observed.
