In the framework of the chiral perturbation theory we obtain the phenomenological relations between decay branches of rare radiative kaon to pion and leptons K + → π+ l + l and K S 0 → π0 l + l and meson form factors. The comparison of these results with the present-day experimental data shows us that the ChPT relations for a charge kaon can determine meson form factors from already measured decay rates at high precision level. However, in the case of the neutral kaon decays K 0 → π0 e + e +μ) the form factor data are known to a higher precision than data on the differential rates of radiative kaon decay K 0 π0 e + e +μ).  相似文献

Unitarity corrections to several electromagnetic processes in collisions of relativistic heavy nuclei are considered. They are due to the unitarity requirement for the S-matrix and correspond to the exchange of a light-by-light scattering block between colliding nuclei. We obtain improved results for the corrections to e +e and μ + μ pair production as well as new results for unitarity corrections to the production of photons via virtual Compton and virtual Delbrück scattering. These corrections can be numerically large; e.g., the μ + μ pair production cross section is reduced by about 50% and nuclear bremsstrahlung by about 15÷20%.  相似文献

The corrected cross section of the e + e → π+π process measured in the spherical neutral detector experiment at the VEPP-2M e + e collider is presented. The update is necessary due to a flaw in the e + e → π+π and e + e → μ+μ Monte Carlo event generators used previously in data analysis. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

Total (elastic+inelastic) cross sections fore -O,e -O2 ande -O3 scattering have been calculated at sample energies between 100 and 1000eV. The basice -O atom scattering amplitudes are obtained from the partial wave analysis with a complex optical potential. Thee -O2 ande -O3 cross-sections are obtained through the independent atom model. Oure -O2 cross-sections reproduce the experimental data quite well. Adequate comparisons are made in all the three cases.  相似文献

We analyze the possibility of experimental investigation of new low-energy relations between the values of resonance masses in the meson form factors and the differential rate of radiative kaon decay K + → π+ e + e +μ) at the current level of the experimental precision. A set of arguments is listed in favor that these relations can be a consequence of weak static interactions in the Standard Model. The results were presented at the 5th NA48 Mini-Workshop on Kaon Physics, CERN, Dec. 12, 2006. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

The cross-sections for the reactions of muonium (anti-muonium) production in the high-energy electron (positron) scattering by nuclei e -(e +) + ZZ + M 0(ˉM) + μ-+) are calculated in dependence on energy and polarization of the initial electron (positron) and polarization of the final μ-+)-meson. Since this is a coherent phenomenon the cross-sections are proportional to Z2. For Z ∼ 100, due to the factor Z2, the cross-sections are large enough to be measured at the energies available for the HERA Collider at DESY. The results are discussed in connection with a test of CPT invariance. Received: 24 September 2002 / Accepted: 12 March 2003 / Published online: 27 May 2003  相似文献

The recently discovered narrow peaks (theψ-particles) in e+e system at 3.105 and 3.695 GeV are interpreted as hadrons in a broken SU4 symmetry scheme. A new additional additive quantum number, parachargeZ, is combined with the usual SU3 quantum numbers in the group SU4. Theψ (3.1) is assigned to a near ideally mixed151 multiplet of vector mesons (containing theρ) as theI=Y=0, charge conjugationC=−combination ofZ=±1.members. Theψ (3.7) is assigned correspondingly to another mixed151 multiplet containing theρ′ (1600). The hadronic electromagnetic interactions are modified by the addition of (non-minimal) anomalous pieces that can changeZ. The decays of theψ-particles are discussed. New enlarged SU4 multiplets of other hadrons are proposed. Tests of our scheme are put forward. The most crucial test will be the observation of two rather broad resonances in e+ e collisions with masses around 4.2 GeV and 5.1 GeV. Another prediction is the presence of energetic photons in the decays of theψ-particles. Important results concerning the recently observed phenomena in the process e+e→hadrons follow in this scheme.  相似文献

Muonium (μ + e ) in bulk fused quartz is a unique system in that theμ + spin polarization (in the muonium state) relaxes almost entirely via random anisotropic hyperfine distortions (RAHD). As such, this system provides an excellent test case for a new RAHD spin relaxation theory. This theory is quantitatively compared to static zero field data and the functional characteristics in both the high field and dynamic limits are considered as well.  相似文献

We consider axion formation processes in the synchrotron (e e a) and annihilation (e e +a) channels in a constant crossed field F μν Fμν=Fμν*F μν =0, which approximates constant fields of other configurations in the ultrarelativistic asymptotic limit. The probability and intensity of axion emission are obtained, and we analyze the energy and field asymptotics. A comparison with the characteristic neutrino channel yields the constraints on the axion mass and the energy scale for Peccei-Quinn symmetry breaking. Possible astrophysical applications are discussed. Zh. éksp. Teor. Fiz. 112, 25–31 (July 1997)  相似文献

The experimental status of generation number violating muon and kaon decays is reviewed. We concentrate on three experiments with a large PSI contribution, neutrinoless muon-electron conversion, muonium-antimuonium conversion and the decayK +π +. The SINDRUM II experiment at PSI searches for the coherent conversion of a muon into an electron in titanium. The design and construction of the SINDRUM II detector and the results of the first data-taking period in 89 are presented. In total 3.2 million events have been analyzed and no candidate for the processμ Tie + Ti has been found. Using two independent determinations of the total number of muon stops an upper limit ofB μe <4.4×10−12 (90% C.L.) is obtained. The plans to lower the sensitivity by two orders of magnitude are discussed. A muonium-antimuonium conversion experiment is being set up at PSI using the refurbished SINDRUM I detector. The goal of the experiment is to improve the sensitivity for the effective coupling constant by a factor of ∼100. Finally a new proposal E865 has been accepted at BNL to improve the sensitivity for the branching ratio of the decayK +π + by a factor 70 to 3×10−12. Inequality of the rates for K 0 → π+ e υ and K 0 → π e + ν transitions, reported by CPLEAR, and an asymmetry in the distribution of the dihedral angle between the π+π and e + e planes in K L → π+π e + e decays, found by KTeV, have been announced as demonstrations of T-noninvariance. These results are critically interpreted and compared as proofs of the failure of reciprocity.  相似文献

A method of improving perturbation theory in QCD is developed which can be applied to any polarization operator. The case of the polarization operator Π(q 2), corresponding to the process e + e → hadrons, is considered in detail. By the use of the analytical properties of Π(q 2) and a perturbation expansion of Π(q 2) for q 2<0, the function ImΠ(q 2) at q 2>0 is defined in such a way that the infrared pole is eliminated. The convergence of the perturbation series for R(q 2)=σ(e + e →hadrons)/(e + e μ + μ ) is improved. After substitution of R(q 2) into the dispersion relation an improved Adler function D(q 2) is obtained, having no infrared pole and a frozen α s (q 2). Good agreement with experiment is achieved. Using the technique of helicity amplitudes, the electromagnetic process e + e → μ+μ is theoretically investigated in the one-photon approximation. The structure of the triplet states of the final (μ+μ) system is analyzed. It is shown that in the case of unpolarized electron and positron the final muons are also unpolarized, but their spins are strongly correlated. Explicit expressions for the components of the correlation tensor of the final (μ+μ) system are derived. The formula for the angular correlation at the decays of final muons μ+ and μ, produced in the process e + e → μ+μ, is obtained. It is demonstrated that spin correlations of muons in the process of electron-positron pair annihilation have the purely quantum character, since one of the incoherence inequalities for the correlation tensor components is always violated. The additional contribution of the weak interaction of lepton neutral currents through the virtual Z 0 boson is considered; it is established that, taking into account the weak interaction, the qualitative character of the muon spin correlations does not change.  相似文献

A dynamics of low-energy nuclear forces is investigated for low-energy electromagnetic and weak nuclear reactions with the deuteron in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model of light nuclei by example of the neutron-proton radiative capture (M1-capture) n + p → D + γ, the photomagnetic disintegration of the deuteron γ + D → n + p and weak reactions of astrophysical interest. These are the solar proton burning p + p → D + e+ + ν e, the pep-process p + e + p → D + ν e and the neutrino and antineutrino disintegration of the deuteron caused by charged ν e + D → e + p + p, + D → e+ + n + n and neutral ν e() + D → ν e() + n + p weak currents.  相似文献

On the basis of elementary symmetry arguments it is shown that (1) if in classical mechanics there exists a quantity λ+Σiμiυi+1/2νυ 2 that is conserved, where λ,μ i, andν are particle parameters, then theμ i andν are all proportional to a single parameterμ and the quantityiBiμυi+C(λ+ 1/2Dμυ 2), whereDν/μ, is conserved for all values ofA, B i, andC; (2) if in relativistic mechanics there exists a quantity λ+Σiμiυi[1−(υ 2/c 2)]−1/2+νc[1−(υ 2/c 2)]−1/2 that is conserved, then theμ i andν are all proportional to a single parameterμ and the quantityAλ+ΣiBiμνi[1−(υ 2/c 2)]−1/2+Cμc [1−(υ 2/c 2)]−1/2 is conserved for all values ofA, B i, andC.  相似文献

It is shown that BR b1(1 P)→e + e )≃3.3· 10−7 and BR c1(1 P)→e + e )≃10−8. This gives realistic possibilities for searching for the production of χ b1(1 P) and ξ c1(1 P) states in e + e collisions, even on the present-day colliders, to say nothing of b and c-τ factories. We review high-energy scattering processes that are sensitive to the hadronic structure of the photon, describing theoretical predictions as well as recent experimental results. These processes include deep-inelastic electron-photon scattering ate + e colliders; and the production of jets, heavy quarks and isolated photons in the collision of real photons ate + e colliders, as well as in photon-photon collisions atep colliders. We also comment on minijet based calculations of totalγp andγγ cross-sections, and discuss the possibility that future lineare + e colliders might produce very large photon fluxes due to the beamstrahlung phenomenon; in the most extreme cases, we predict more than one hadronicγγ event to occur at every bunch crossing.  相似文献

The quasi-elastic contribution of the nuclear inclusive electron scattering model developed in [A. Gil, J. Nieves, and E. Oset: Nucl. Phys. A 627 (1997) 543] is extended to the study of electroweak charged current induced nuclear reactions at intermediate energies of interest for future neutrino oscillation experiments. The model accounts for long-range nuclear (RPA) correlations, final state interaction and Coulomb corrections. RPA correlations are shown to play a crucial role in the whole range of neutrino energies, up to 500 MeV, studied in this work. Predictions for inclusive muon capture for different nuclei, and for the reactions 12C(ν μ , μ )X and 12C(ν e, e)X near threshold are also given. Presented by M. Valverde at the Workshop on calculation of double-beta-decay matrix elements (MEDEX’05), Corfu, Greece, September 26–29, 2005.  相似文献
