We calculate the dynamic phase transition (DPT) temperatures and present the dynamic phase diagrams in the kinetic mixed spin-1/2 and spin-5/2 Ising model under the presence of a time-dependent oscillating external magnetic field. We employ the Glauber transition rates to construct the set of mean-field dynamic equations. The time variation of the average magnetizations and the thermal behavior of the dynamic magnetizations are investigated, extensively. The nature (continuous or discontinuous) of the transitions is characterized by studying the thermal behaviors of the dynamic magnetizations. The DPT points are obtained and the phase diagrams are presented in two different planes. Phase diagrams contain four fundamental phases and three coexistence or mixed phases, which strongly depend on interaction parameters. The phase diagrams are discussed and a comparison is made with the results of the other mixed spin Ising systems.  相似文献

The ground-state magnetic properties of the spin-2 transverse Ising model with a longitudinal crystal field are studied within the framework of mean-field theory (MFT) and effective-field theory (EFT), respectively. The phase diagrams and magnetization curves are examined in detail. It is found that the system exhibits a tricritical behavior in the ground-state phase diagrams. Some interesting phenomena have been found, especially the first-order phase transition from one ordered phase to the other ordered phase, which is due to the high spin. The spin correlation has important effect on the magnetic properties of the system. We also find that the ground-state phase diagrams of the spin-2 transverse Ising model are very different from those of the spin-3/2 transverse Ising model.  相似文献

We calculate the dynamic phase transition (DPT) temperatures and present the dynamic phase diagrams in the kinetic spin-5/2 Blume–Capel model under the presence of a time-dependent oscillating external magnetic field. First, we employ the Glauber transition rates to construct the mean-field dynamic equation. Then, we study the time variation of the average magnetization to find the phases in the system. We also investigate the behaviour of the dynamic magnetization to characterize the nature (continuous and discontinuous) of transition and to obtain the DPT points. We present the dynamic phase diagrams in two different planes. The phase diagrams include the ferromagnetic-5/2 (f5/2), the ferromagnetic-1/2 (f1/2) and paramagnetic (p) fundamental phases. In addition to these fundamental phases, we find 10 mixed phases, depending on the interaction parameters. The phase diagrams display many special points, such as a dynamic tricritical point, a double critical end point, a triple point and a quadruple point.  相似文献

An effective-field theory with correlations is developed for a mixed spin-1 and spin-3/2 Ising system with two alternative layers of a honeycomb lattice. Spin-1 atoms and spin-3/2 atoms are distributed in alternative layers of a honeycomb lattice. We consider that the nearest-neighbor spins of each layer are coupled ferromagnetically and the interaction between the vertically aligned spins and adjacent spins are coupled either ferromagnetically or antiferromagnetically depending on the sign of the bilinear exchange interactions. We investigate the temperature dependence of the total magnetization to find the compensation points and to determine the type of compensation behavior. We present the phase diagrams in different planes for h=0, and the phase diagrams contain the paramagnetic, nonmagnetic and ferrimagnetic phases. The system also presents a tricritical behavior besides multicritical point (A), isolated critical point (C) and double critical end point (B) depending on the interaction parameters.  相似文献

The phase diagram of mixed spin-3/2 and spin-2 Ising ferromagnetic model with different single-ion anisotropies is investigated by the use of a mean-field theory based on the Bogoliubov inequality for the Gibbs free energy. Global phase diagrams are obtained in the temperature-anisotropy plane. In particular, by changing values of the single-ion anisotropies, several different types of phase diagrams of first-order transition between two ordered phases, are studied in detail. A variety of multicritical points such as tricritical points, isolated critical points, and triple points are obtained.  相似文献

By using the simplified effective-field theory based on Glauber-type stochastic dynamics, namely the dynamic simplified effective-field theory, the dynamic phase diagrams of a two-dimensional mixed spin-1 and spin-3/2 Blume–Capel model are studied in an oscillating external magnetic field. The dynamic equations are derived for two interpenetrating square lattices. The time variations of average magnetizations and the temperature dependence of the dynamic magnetizations are examined, and the dynamic phase diagrams are presented in the two different planes. The dynamic phase diagrams illustrate several ordered phases, the coexistence phase region and critical points as well as a re-entrant behavior depending on the interaction parameters. Finally, the discussion and comparison of the dynamic phase diagrams are given briefly.  相似文献

The dependence of the phase diagrams on the random crystal field (RCF) is investigated for the spin-1 Blume-Capel (BC) model on the Bethe lattice. The calculations are carried out in terms of the recursion relations for the coordination number z=4 which corresponds to the square lattice. The model presents tricritical points which are observed at lower negative crystal fields and higher temperatures for higher probabilities p and which vanish at lower p’s. The effect of randomness is illustrated for p=0.5 and shown that it changes the phase diagrams drastically from random to non-random systems. The reentrant behavior is also observed for appropriate p values.  相似文献

We present phase diagrams for a nonequilibrium mixed spin-1/2 and spin-2 Ising ferrimagnetic system on a square lattice in the presence of a time dependent oscillating external magnetic field. We employ the Glauber transition rates to construct the mean-field dynamical equations. The time variation of the average magnetizations and the thermal behavior of the dynamic magnetizations are investigated, extensively. The nature (continuous or discontinuous) of the transitions is characterized by studying the thermal behaviors of the dynamic magnetizations. The dynamic phase transition points are obtained and the phase diagrams are presented in two different planes. Phase diagrams contain paramagnetic (p) and ferrimagnetic (i) phases, and one coexistence or mixed phase region, namely the i+p, that strongly depend on interaction parameters. The system exhibits the dynamic tricritical point and the reentrant behaviors.  相似文献

Intensive Monte Carlo simulations based on standard Metropolis algorithm have been applied to investigate the phase diagrams of a ferrimagnetic cubic nanoparticle (nanocube) with a spin-3/2 core surrounded by a spin-1 shell layer with antiferromagnetic interface coupling. It has been shown that occupation of sites of particle core by spin-3/2 plays an important role on the shape of the phase diagrams. In addition, effects of the crystal field interaction as well as exchange interactions on the thermal and magnetic properties of the system have also been discussed in detail, and some interesting features have been observed for the temperature dependence of total magnetization curves of particle.  相似文献

The effect of a longitudinal random crystal field interaction on the phase diagrams of the mixed spin transverse Ising model consisting of spin-1/2 and spin-1 is investigated within the finite cluster approximation based on a single-site cluster theory. In order to expand a cluster identity of spin-1, we transform the spin-1 to spin-1/2 representation containing Pauli operators. We derive the state equations applicable to structures with arbitrary coordination number N. The phase diagrams obtained in the case of a honeycomb lattice (N=3) and a simple-cubic lattice (N=6), are qualitatively different and examined in detail. We find that both systems exhibit a variety of interesting features resulting from the fluctuation of the crystal field interactions. Received: 13 February 1998 / Accepted: 17 March 1998  相似文献

Godoy et al. (Phys. Rev. B 69, 054428, 2004) presented a study of the magnetic properties of a mixed spin (1/2,1), Ising ferrimagnetic model on a hexagonal lattice without an oscillating magnetic field. They employed dynamic mean-field calculations and Monte Carlo simulations to find the compensation point of the model and to present the phase diagrams. It has been found that the N-type compensation temperature appears only when the intrasublattice interaction between spins in the σ sublattice is ferromagnetic. Moreover, the system only undergoes a second-order phase transition. In this work, we extend the study a dynamic compensation temperature of a mixed spin-1/2 and spin-1 Ising ferrimagnetic system on a hexagonal lattice in the presence of oscillating magnetic field within the framework of dynamic mean-field calculations. We find that the system displays the N-type compensation temperature. We also calculate dynamic phase diagrams in which contain the paramagnetic, ferrimagnetic, nonmagnetic fundamental phases and two different mixed phases, depending on the interaction parameters and oscillating magnetic field. The system also exhibits tricritical and reentrant behaviors.  相似文献

Employing a mean-field approach, we study the stationary states of the kinetic spin-5/2 Blume–Emery–Griffiths (BEG) model under the presence of a time-varying (sinusoidal) magnetic field by using the Glauber-type stochastic dynamics. We employ the Glauber transition rates to construct the set of dynamic mean-field equations. We investigate the time variation in average order parameters to find the phases in the system, and the thermal behavior of the dynamic order parameters to characterize the nature (continuous or discontinuous) of the dynamic phase transtions and to the dynamic phase transition temperature. The dynamic phase diagrams are presented in three different planes. The phase diagrams contain the ferromagnetic-5/2, the ferromagnetic-3/2, the ferromagnetic-1/2, the ferroquadrupolar, and disordered fundamental phases. They also include the nine coexisting or mixed phases composed of binary and ternary combinations of fundamental phases that strongly depend on the interaction parameters. The phase diagrams display the critical end point, double critical end point, triple point, quadruple point, and one, two, or three special points and the dynamic tricritical point that depends on the interaction parameters.  相似文献

The critical behaviors of the trilayer Bethe lattice in the form of spin-(1/2,3/2,1/2) with the exterior two layers consisting of spin-1/2 and the interior one having only spin-3/2 Ising spins are studied in terms of the recursion relations with either ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic bilinear exchange interactions between the nearest-neighbor spins. The ground-state phase diagrams are calculated and it is found that the model presents six different ground state phase configurations. The thermal variations of the order-parameter and free energy are investigated, therefore, topologically different phase diagrams of the model are obtained. It is found that the model exhibits second- and first-order phase transitions, tricritical and bicritical points for the values of the coordination numbers q=3, 4 and 6 and, the reentrant behavior for q=4 and 6, respectively.  相似文献

We investigate the ground state of bosons with long-range interactions in the large U limit on a triangular lattice. By mapping this system to the spin-1/2 XXZ model in a magnetic field, we can apply the spin wave theory to this study. We demonstrate how to construct the phase diagrams within the spin wave theory. The phase diagrams are given in an extensive parameter region, where, besides the superfluid phase, diverse solid and supersolid phases are shown to exist in this model. Especially, we find that the phase diagram obtained in this method is consistent with the one obtained previously using numerical techniques in the Ising limit. This confirms the effectiveness of our method. We analyze the stability of all the obtained supersolids and show that they will not be ruined by the quantum fluctuations. We observe that the quantum fluctuations in the stripe supersolid phase could be enhanced by the external field. We also discuss the relevance of our result with the experiment that may be realized with ultracold bosonic polar molecules in a triangular optical lattice.  相似文献

By using a mean-field approximation (MFA) and Monte-Carlo (MC) simulations, we have studied the effect on the phase diagrams of mixed spins ( and S =1) in the Ashkin-Teller model (ATM) on a hypercubic lattice. By varying the strength describing the four spin interaction and the single ion potential, we have obtained by these two methods quite rich phase diagrams with several multicritical points. This model exhibits a new partially ordered phase which does not exist neither in the spin-1/2 ATM nor in the spin-1 ATM. While MFA yields phase diagrams which are sometimes qualitatively incorrect, accurate results are obtained from MC simulations. From the critical exponents which have been calculated using finite-size scaling ideas, we have shown that all phase transitions are Ising-like except for the paramagnetic-Baxter critical surface on which the critical exponents vary continuously, by varying only the strength of the coupling interaction independently of the value of the single ion potential. We examine the dynamic phase transitions and the dynamic compensation temperatures, within a mean-field approach, in the mixed spin-3/2 and spin-5/2 Ising system with a crystal-field interaction under a time-varying magnetic field on a hexagonal lattice by using Glauber-type stochastic dynamics. The model system consists of two interpenetrating sublattices with σ=3/2 and S=5/2. The Hamiltonian model includes intersublattice, intrasublattice, and crystal-field interactions. The intersublattice interaction is considered antiferromagnetic and to be a simple but interesting model of a ferrimagnetic system. We employ the Glauber transition rates to construct the mean-field dynamic equations, and we solve these equations in order to find the phases in the system. We also investigate the thermal behavior of the dynamic sublattice magnetizations and the dynamic total magnetization to obtain the dynamic phase transition points and compensation temperatures as well as to characterize the nature (continuous and discontinuous) of transitions. We also calculate the dynamic phase diagrams including the compensation temperatures in five different planes. According to the values of Hamiltonian parameters, five different fundamental phases, three different mixed phases, and six different types of compensation behaviors in the Néel classification nomenclature exist in the system.  相似文献

A theoretical study of a spin-3/2 Ising model in a longitudinal random field with crystal field is studied by using of the effective-field theory with correlations. The phase diagrams and the behavior of the tricritical point are investigated numerically for the honeycomb lattice when the random field is bimodal. In particular, the specific heat and the internal energy are examined in detail for the system with a crystal-field constant in the critical region where the ground-state configuration may change from the spin-3/2 state to the spin-1/2 state. We find many interesting phenomena in the system.  相似文献

The spin-1 Ising model with bilinear and quadrupolar short-range interactions under magnetic field is investigated within the two-particle cluster approximation. It is shown that for those values of the quadrupolar interaction when at zero magnetic field the system undergoes a temperature phase transition between quadrupolar and paramagnetic phases, a triple point may exist in the temperature vs. magnetic field phase diagrams, necessarily along with a critical point. It is also shown that the critical points in the temperature vs. magnetic field phase diagrams of the investigated model can be of three types.  相似文献

We present the first results on the low-frequency dynamical and transport properties of random antiferromagnetic spin chains at low temperature (T). We obtain the momentum and frequency dependent dynamic structure factor in the random singlet (RS) phases of both spin-1/2 and spin-1 chains, as well as in the random dimer phase of spin-1/2 chains. We also show that the RS phases are unusual "spin-metals" with divergent low-frequency conductivity at T = 0, and follow the spin conductivity through "metal-insulator" transitions tuned by the strength of dimerization or Ising anisotropy in the spin-1/2 case and by the strength of disorder in the spin-1 case.  相似文献
