The results of a theoretical study of quasi-phase matched processes at self-frequency conversion in the Q-switched regime are presented. A scheme containing a periodically poled active nonlinear crystal and an acousto-optical modulator inserted inside the cavity is considered. Solutions of the set of equations describing such scheme are obtained by numerical methods. The time dynamics of the self-frequency doubling, self-frequency summing, and self-parametric frequency conversion processes are studied in detail. The energy characteristics of the radiation are also calculated and compared with those in the stationary regime. 相似文献

A stochastic theory of quasi-phase-matched consecutive processes, which takes into account peculiarities of the method of creating a nonlinear lattice in crystals, is developed. The influence of aperiodicity of a certain type on the efficiency of the process of consecutive parametric interaction of light waves with nonmultiple frequencies in crystals with irregular poled structure is studied. It has been established that in aperiodically poled nonlinear crystals the regime of exponentially changing intensity of interacting waves can be implemented. A particular case of nondegenerate parametric amplification is also discussed. 相似文献

With the developed method of numerical simulation, the dynamics of formation of the spatial structure of interacting wave
fields in the process of generation of the sum-frequency radiation was investigated. Radial intensity profiles and angular
spectra of diffracting light beams with varied restriction and focusing parameters at different stages of energy exchange
in the KTP crystal have been calculated. It is shown that with weak focusing, a self-channeling wave structure of soliton
type with angular divergence of the second-harmonic component at the level close to the diffraction limit is formed in the
field of the wide Bessel-Gauss pumping beam. Moreover, in the far-field zone complete spatial separation of the light fluxes
corresponding to the fundamental and second harmonics occurs. Comparison of the efficiencies of conversion on pumping by Gauss
and Bessel-Gauss light beams is made.

A theory of optical parametric amplification at high-frequency pumping in crystals with regular space modulation of the sign of the nonlinear coupling coefficient of interacting waves is developed. By applying the matrix method, the theory is based on a step-by-step approach. It is shown that, in the case where the pumping intensity is less than some critical value, the spatial dynamics of the signal intensity inside a separate layer with a constant nonlinear coefficient has an oscillatory behavior and the change of the signal intensity from layer to layer is defined, in general, by a polynomial dependence. The same law is valid for the change of variance of the signal's quadrature components. With a large number of layers, these dependences can be reduced to the well-known ones for homogeneous nonlinear optical crystals. 相似文献

对周期性极化高掺镁铌酸锂倍频过程进行了准相位匹配倍频理论研究。在室温下通过外加电场极化法,用较低的极化开关电场~5.5kV/mm,在厚为1mm、长为10mm、宽为10mm的掺镁铌酸锂基片上成功地制备了周期为5.8~7.3pm(间隔0.3pm)的一阶准相位匹配倍频周期性极化光学微结构。将温度控制在70℃左右,以波长为1.060μm的Nd:YAG激光为基频光源,对所研制的光学微结构样品进行倍频通光实验验证。当入射基频光为920mW时,可以获得约15mW的532nm准连续倍频蓝光输出.其归一化转换效率高达1.77%/W。 相似文献

Tunable coherent emission is generated in a single-pass,cascaded wavelength conversion process from mode-locked laser-pumped monolithic periodically poled lithium niobate(PPLN).Three ranges of wavelength,including visible output from 628 nm to 639 nm,near-infrared output from 797 nm to 816 nm,and mid-infrared output from 3167 nm to 3459 nm,were obtained from the monolithic PPLN,which consists of a 10-mm section for 532-nm-pumped optical parametric generation(OPG)and a 7-mm section for 1064-nm-pumped sum frequency generation(SFG).A pump-to-signal conversion efficiency of 23.4%for OPG at 50°C and a quantum efficiency of 26.2%for SFG at 200°C were obtained. 相似文献

报道一种新型光纤化宽带可调连续波中红外激光器系统,该激光系统采用准相位匹配(QPM)的差频产生(DFG)技术,非线性晶体为多周期的周期性极化掺镁铌酸锂晶体(PPMgLN),掺镱光纤激光器(YDFL)用作抽运光源,可调激光器经掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA)功率提升后作为信号光源。利用建立的准相位匹配-差频产生系统,获得了连续波中红外差频光输出;实验发现,温度导致相位失谐的半峰全宽(FWHM)为4.5℃;通过优化选择晶体周期,并结合调节信号光波长和控制温度,该准相位匹配-差频产生系统可在3.1~3.6μm内连续调谐。 相似文献

研究了一种利用冲击波作用光子晶体产生蓝光的新方法.通过模拟光子晶体受冲击波作用后折射率的变化,对470 nm蓝光,设定光子晶体的参量,研究了冲击波引起光子晶体带隙的变化,计算了需要冲击波的速度,分析了影响蓝光线宽和中心波长的因素.结果表明,变频后的光波线宽随冲击波和固定反射面的距离而变化,距离大时,线宽较小,距离小时,线宽较大,可以利用光子晶体的滤波作用对输出光波线宽进行控制,获得带宽稳定的或变化的输出光波.环境温度变化、光子晶体材料吸收特性影响光子晶体的带隙分布,进而影响蓝光的中心波长.研究结果对研制新的蓝光光源具有重要参考价值,同时也为其他相干光源的产生提供了一种新的技术. 相似文献

在周期为 14 .5 μm的周期性极化铌酸锂中 ,利用d3 1,得到了一阶I型EωYEωY-E2ωZ (oo-e)准相位匹配蓝光二次谐波。在 15 0℃下 ,由 114 μJ抽运光 ,得到了 5 2 μJ ,0 .4 73μm倍频蓝光 ,对应于平均最大转换效率 4 5 .6 %。制备了一阶和三阶周期分别为 4 .5 μm和 13.5 μm的周期性极化铌酸锂。在EωZEωZ-E2ωZ (ee -e)准相位匹配 0 .4 73μm蓝光倍频中 ,15 0℃下 ,分别得到了 4 1.3%和 19%的倍频转换效率。oo -e准相位匹配比传统的ee -e准相位匹配有较大的光栅周期 ,尤其在短波长区域倍频输出应用中 ,降低了周期性结构制作的困难 ,其较大的容许带宽在实验中提高了频率转换效率。实验结果表明了在周期性极化铌酸锂中准相位匹配倍频的偏振相关性。 相似文献

In this paper, a 1D nonlinear plasma photonic crystal (NPPC) structure composed of polarized ferroelectric crystals and nonlinear plasma periodic alternation is proposed. The transfer matrix method is employed to analyze the second harmonic generation (SHG) problem of this structure. In the designed NPPCs, the fundamental wave (FW) operates in the gigahertz (GHz) band and the nonlinear plasma is controlled by an external high-intensity control wave (CW). Numerical simulations are performed to investigate the effects of different incident angles and external CW intensities on the total conversion efficiency (T-con) of the second harmonic wave (SHW). Additionally, the internal electric field distribution and incident light intensity within the nonlinear structure are analyzed. The importance of the relationship between the FW frequency and photonic band gap (PBG) in enhancing SHG is summarized. The results demonstrate that the optimal structure can be obtained by changing the structural parameters, such that the FW and SHW are tuned to the edge of the PBG. At this point, the electromagnetic field density is large, the group velocity is small, the local field is enhanced, and the nonlinear optical interaction is increased, resulting in a significant increase in the T-con of the SHW. 相似文献

We study nonlinear interactions between discrete optical solitons that propagate in different regimes of diffraction, and
the nonlinear scattering of dispersive waves by local optical potentials. It is well known in optics that when linear coherent
waves meet, they interfere without interactions. Linear waves also scatter through local optical structures not exchanging
any power with the guided modes of these structures. As a focusing Kerr nonlinearity is present, such linearly-inhibited phenomena
can exist. Our studies are performed in silica and AlGaAs nonlinear waveguides, excited by ultra-short pulses in the near
infrared.

借助光子晶体中二能级原子的自发辐射理论证明缺陷态的局域场存在的必然性以及局域场基本性质,为研究光子晶体光纤掺杂自发辐射的内在规律提供了理论依据。且将自发辐射理论与数值模拟相结合,在缺陷介质中掺激活杂质时,研究了光子晶体光纤的掺杂局域场特征以及受激辐射增强和透射率大于1现象与光子带隙群速度异常和掺杂层复有效折射率成负的虚部之间的内在关系。由此说明光子晶体光纤的缺陷介质中掺入激活杂质时,光子禁带中能出现品质因子非常高的杂质态,具有很大的态密度,较强的受激辐射放大。 相似文献

在数值和实验上研究了向列相液晶中空间光孤子的相互作用.向列相液晶中的响应函数为指数衰减函数,这不同于Snyder-Mitchell模型.数值模拟发现向列相液晶中的孤子相互作用仍然满足交叉点位置与输入功率的平方根成反比,强非局域下的Snyder-Mitchell模型交叉点位置与两束光的间距无关,而在向列相液晶中交叉点位置与两束光的间距有关;在实验上发现,向列相液晶中两束光交叉点的位置与输入功率平方根成反比,还和形成孤子的临界功率以及两束光之间的间距有关.
