A new quantum scattering approach (linear combination of arrangement channels-scattering wavefunction, LCAC-SW) proposed by Deng and his co-workers is used to calculate collinear state-to-state reaction probabilities for the F + H2(v) → HF(v') + H system. Several interesting problems such M threshold energy, compound states and enhance by translational energy of the reactants and the vibration excitation of products are discussed and they are compared with other theoretical investigations reported in the literature. It is shown that the LCAC-SW approach is the successful one of quantum scattering methods.  相似文献

The H + F2 → HF + F reaction on ground state potential energy surface is investigated using the quantum mechanical real wave packet and Flux analysis method based on centrifugal sudden approximation. The initial state selected reaction probabilities for total angular momentum J = 0 have been calculated by both methods while the probabilities for J > 0 have been calculated by Flux analysis method. The initial state selected reaction probabilities, integral cross sections and rate coefficients have been calculated for a broad range of collision energy. The results show a large rotational enhancement of the reaction probability. Some resonances were seen in the state‐to‐state reaction probabilities while state‐to‐all reaction probabilities and the reaction cross section do not manifest any oscillations and the initial state selected reaction rate constants are sensitive to the temperature. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The dynamics of the F+H2(v=0,j=0, 1) reactions have been studied at the collision energy of 1.27 kcal/mol using a high-resolution crossed molecular beam apparatus. HF product rotational state resolved differential cross sections have been obtained at the v′=1, 2, 3 levels. The product HF(v′=2) angular distributions are predominantly backward scattered for both H2 (j=0, 1) reagents. However, the distributions of product HF(v′=2) rotational states for theF+H2(v=0,j=0) reaction are signi cantly di erent from those for the F+H2(v=0,j=1) reaction. Experimental results show that the rotational excitation of H2 produces rotationally ‘hotter’ HF(v′=2) product. In addition, the HF(v′=3) product is more likely scattered into the forward direction when the H2 reagent is populated at j=0 state, which could be attributed to a slow-down mechanism.  相似文献

Based on our earlier three-dimensional DWBA theory, we discuss angular distributions and the roles of various angular momenta. The theory predicts a relatively small number of partial waves, backward scattering, and broadening of angular distributions with increased energy, for the reaction F+ H2 (va = 0, ja = 0) → HF (vb = 2 jb = 0) + H  相似文献

The dynamics of the H(2S) + FO(2Π) → OH(2Π) + F(2P) reaction on the adiabatic potential energy surface of the 13A′ and 13A″ states is investigated. The initial state selected reaction probabilities for total angular momentum J = 0 have been calculated by using the quantum mechanical real wave packet method. The integral cross sections and initial state selected reaction rate constants have been obtained from the corresponding J = 0 reaction probabilities by means of the simple J‐Shifting technique. The initial state‐selected reaction probabilities and reaction cross section do not manifest any sharp oscillations and the initial state selected reaction rate constants are sensitive to the temperature. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A three-dimensional potential energy surface for the 2A′ ground state of the system (Ne? H2)+ (2Σ+ in collinear geometry) has been calculated at SCF and CEPA levels. This surface describes the abstraction reaction which is endoergic by 0.57 eV (ΔH00) and has been studied recently by different experimental groups at low collision energies. Our CEPA calculations yield an endoergicity of 0.55 eV (ΔH00). The 2A′ surface has a minimum at collinear geometry with RNe—H = 2.29 a0 and RH? H = 2.08 a0 and a well depth of 0.49 eV relative to Ne + H+2. The effects of electron correlation on the shape of the surface and on the well depth are discussed. An analytic fit of the collinear part of the surface has been constructed based on Simon's proposal of using polynomials in the coordinates (R? Re)/R instead of (R? Re). The fitted potential is used for quantum mechanical scattering calculations with the finite element method (FEM ). Preliminary results for reaction probabilities for H+2 in different vibrationally excited states are given and compared to the experimental results.  相似文献

Quasi-classical dynamic threshold energies have been determined for two important reactive transitions in the F + H2 reaction by performing extensive three-dimensional trajectory calculations for the corresponding reverse reactions. It is found that the energetic and dynamic thresholds for the reaction F + H2(υ = 0,j) → HF(υ = 2,j = 6) + H are the same, whereas the latter threshold is approximately 0.08 eV greater than the former one for the reaction F + H2(υ = 0,j) → HF(υ = 3,j=1) + H. These results are in good agreement with the corresponding semi-classical threshold results which are also reported. The relationship of these quasi-classical-reverse results to experimentally measured quantities is discussed.  相似文献

In this communication are presented exact quantum mechanical nonadiabatic electronic transition probabilities for the collinear reaction Ar+ + H2(vi = 0) → ArH+(vf) + H. The calculations were performed using a potential surface calculated by the DIM method. It is established that large probabilities (≈ 1.0) can be obtained only if there is enough translational energy to overcome a potential barrier formed due to the crossing between vi = 0 of the Ar+ + H2 system and vi = 2 of the Ar + H+2 system. The threshold for the reaction is found to be 0.06 eV.  相似文献

The reaction D + H2 → HD + H has been investigated in two molecular beam scattering experiments. Angular and time-of-flight distributions have been measured for the initial vibrational ground state (v = 0) at a most probable collision energy of Ecm = 1.5 eV and for the first vibrational excited state (v = 1) at Ecm = 0.28 eV with the same apparatus. Results for the ground-state experiment are compared with quasiclassical trajectory calculations(QCT) on the LSTH-hypersurface transformed into the laboratory system and averaged over the apparatus distributions. The agreement isquite satisfactory. At this high collision energy the HD products are no longer scattered in a backward direction but in a wide angular region concentrated about θ = 90° in the center-of-mass system. The absolute reactive cross section has been determined and the agreement with the theoretical value from QCT calculations is within the experimental error. The high sensitivity of the experiment to different properties of the doubly differential cross section has also been demonstrated. A preliminary evaluation of the experiment with initial vibrational excitation (v = 1) shows that the HD-product molecules are preferably backward scattered and the change of internal energy is small supporting the concept of a reaction which is adiabatic with respect to the internal degrees of freedom.  相似文献

Upon the Liu, Siegbahn, Truhlar, Horowitz (LSTH) potential energy surface, the reaction probabilities of the three-dimensional (3-D) state-to-state H + H2 (v, j) →H 2(v′, j′) + H reaction are calculated with the linear combination of arrangement channels-scattering wavefunction (LCAC-SW) method. In the calculation, the vibration function of H2 and the radial propagating wave functions are expanded by the real Gauss functions. The calculated threshold energy and the resonating structure are consistent with the results of the accurate quantum scattering calculations, which shows the accuration, simplicity and practicability of the LCAC-SW method. The dynamics of the NH + H→N+H2 reaction has been investigated by means of the 3D quasiclassical trajectory approach by using the LEPS potential energy surface. The calculated rate coefficient is in good agreement with the experimental value. The reaction was found to occur via a direct channel. The product H2 has a cold excitation of rotational state, but has a reverse distribution of the vibrational state with a peak at v=1.Based on the potential energy surface and the trajectory analysis, the reaction mechanism has been explained successfully.  相似文献

N(2D) + H2NH + H reaction at zero total angular momentum is studied by using a time dependent quantum wave packet method. State‐to‐state and state‐to‐all reactive scattering probabilities for a broad range of energy are calculated. The probabilities show many sharp peaks that ascribed to reactive scattering resonances. The probabilities for J > 0 are estimated by using the J‐shifting method. The integral cross sections and thermal rate constants are then calculated. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. State-to-state scattering dynamics of F+C2H6-->HF(v,J)+C2H5 have been investigated at Ecom=3.2(6) kcalmol under single-collision conditions, via detection of nascent rovibrationally resolved HF(v,J) product states with high-resolution infrared laser absorption methods. State-resolved Doppler absorption profiles are recorded for multiple HF(v,J) transitions originating in the v=0,1,2,3 manifold, analyzed to yield absolute column-integrated densities via known HF transition moments, and converted into nascent probabilities via density-to-flux analysis. The spectral resolution of the probe laser also permits Doppler study of translational energy release into quantum-state-resolved HF fragments, which reveals a remarkable linear correlation between (i) HF(v,J) translational recoil and (ii) the remaining energy available, Eavail=Etot-E(HF(v,J)). The dynamics are interpreted in the context of a simple impulsive model based on conservation of linearangular momentum that yields predictions in good agreement with experiment. Deviations from the model indicate only minor excitation of ethyl vibrations, in contrast with a picture of extensive intramolecular vibrational energy flow but consistent with Franck-Condon excitation of the methylene CH2 bending mode. The results suggest a relatively simple dynamical picture for exothermic atom+polyatomic scattering, i.e., that of early barrier dynamics in atom+diatom systems but modified by impulsive recoil coupling at the transition state between translationalrotational degrees of freedom.  相似文献

We present a quasi‐classical trajectory (QCT) study on product polarization for the reaction F(2P) + HCl(v = 0, j = 0) → HF + Cl(2P) on a recently computed 12 A′ ground‐state surface reported by Deskevich et al. J Chem Phys, 2006, 124, 224303. Four polarization dependent generalized differential cross‐sections (2π/σ)(dσ00/dωt), (2π/σ)(dσ20/dωt), (2π/σ)(dσ22+/dωt), and (2π/σ)(dσ21?/dωt) were calculated in the center‐of‐mass frame at four different collision energies. The obtained Pr), P(?r), and Pr, ?r), which denote respectively the distribution of angles between k and j′, the distribution of dihedral angle denoting kk′‐j′ correlation and the angular distribution of product rotational vectors in the form of polar plots, indicate that the degree of rotational alignment of the product HF molecule is strong and the degree of the rotational alignment decreases as collision energy increases. The product rotational angular momentum vector j′ is not only aligned, but also oriented along the y‐axis, and the molecular rotation of the product prefers an in‐plane reaction mechanism rather than the out‐of‐plane mechanism. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this theoretical work, we report quasiclassical dynamics predictions for the attack angle‐dependence exchange processes for the H + HS (v = 0, 1; j = 0) reaction by using the new triplet 3A″ and 3A′ potential energy surfaces, respectively. The calculated quasiclassical reaction probabilities of exchange reaction channel of reaction H(D)′ + H(D)S for J = 0, 10, 20, 30, 40 are in good agreement with quantum wave packet results over the collision energy range from 0.1 to 2.0 eV on 3A″ surfaces. The attack angle dependence reaction probability of the title reactions at J = 0 are calculated, respectively, on the two surfaces. The reaction probability was found to be strongly dependent on the attack angle. It may be ascribe to the significant difference of the effective potential barrier height in the two reactions. Besides, the reaction probabilities of exchange reaction channel of reaction H(D)′ + H(D)S for J = 0, 10, 20, 30, 40 are also predicted on 3A′ surfaces. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Accurate quantum calculations of reaction probabilities PTν′←ν have been carried out for the collinear reaction O(3P) + H2 (ν = 0,1) → OH(ν′) + H using a LEPS and fitted ab initio potential energy surface. The energy dependence of the PTν′ ← ν is similar for both surfaces. Collinear quasiclassical trajectory calculations have also been carried out, for comparison, on the LEPS surface for ν = 0, 1 and 2.  相似文献

Topological properties of potential energy and electronic density distribution on five reaction paths X+H2→XH+H (X=H, N, HN, H2C, NC) are investigated at the level of UMP2/6–311G(d,p). It has been found that in the region of the reaction paths studied, where B(rc)|s>0 [B(rc)|s is the product of ρ(rc) and ∇2ρ(rc) at the point of reaction process, i.e., B(rc)|s=ρ(rc)∇2 ρ(rc)] is basically the same as the region of V′(s)<0[V′(s) is the second derivative of potential energy with respect to the reaction coordinate, i.e., V′(s)=d2V/ds2], and the point with maximum B(rc)|s is almost coincident with the point of minimum V′(s). It can be concluded from the calculated results that there is a good correlation between the topological properties of potential energy and electronic density distribution along the reaction path. The structure transition state of such collinear reactions may be determined by topological analysis of electronic density. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. J Comput Chem 18: 1167–1174  相似文献

Calculations of the vibrational—rotational product state population distributions and differential cross sections for the chemical reaction H + H2(v ? 2, j = 0) → H2(v′ ? 2, j′, mj) + H have been carried out on the Porter—Karplus potential energy surface. The vibrationally-adiabatic-distorted-wave (VADW) method has been used. The relative rotational product distributions, differential cross sections and the helicity mj, dependences of these quantities for the v = 0 reaction agree well with accurate close-coupling results. The absolute integral cross sections are considerably smaller than the accurate quantum values, however. The calculations for the v = 1 reaction agree with the findings of previous sudden quantum, limited close-coupling and quasiclassical theoretical studies and experiments that product H2(v′ = 1) is more likely to be produced than H2(v′ = 0). For the reaction with v = 2, it is found that at high translational energies product H2(v′ = 2) is favoured over H2(v′ = 1) or H2(v′ = 0). The VADW differential cross sections for the v = 1 and v = 2 reactions have a similar shape to those of the v = 0 reaction, with backward peaking when summed over all mj states. The relative rotational distributions for the v = 2, j = 0 → v′ = 2, j and v = 1, j = 0 → v′ = 1, j reactions are also similar to those obtained for the v = 0, j = 0 → v′ = 0, j reaction, with low rotational excitation.  相似文献

We have calculated reaction rates for the reactions O + HD → OH + D and O + DH → OD + H using improved canonical variational transition state theory and least-action ground-state transmission coefficients with an ab initio potential energy surface. The kinetic isotope effects are in good agreement with experiment. The optimized tunneling paths and properties of the variational transition states and the rate enhancement for vibrationally excited reactants are also presented and compared with those for the isotopically unsubstituted reaction O + H2 → OH + H. The thermal reactions at low and room temperature are predicted to occur by tunneling at extended configurations, i.e., to initiate early on the reaction path and to avoid the saddle point regions. Tunneling also dominates the low and room temperature reactions for excited vibrational states, but in these cases the results are not as sensitive to the nature of the tunneling path. Overbarrier mechanisms dominate for both thermal and excited-vibrational state reactions for T > 600 K. For the excited-state reaction (with initial vibrational quantum number n > 0) a transition state switch occurs for T > 1000 K for the O + HD(n = 1) → OD + H case and for T > 1500 K for the O + DH(n = 1) → OD + H reaction, and this may be a general phenomenon for excited-state reactions at higher temperature. In the present case the switch occurs from an early variational transition state where the vibrationally adiabatic approximation is expected to be valid to a tighter variational transition state where nonadiabatic effects are probably important and should be included.  相似文献

A fully converged close coupling study is performed of the collinear (H+ + H2) system on the lower potential energy surface. The surface is derived by the DIMZO (diatomic in molecules-zero overlap) method. Transition probabilities for the reactions: H+ + H2 (ν = 0, 1) → H2 (ν′) + H+; ν′ = 0,..., 7 are given for a number of total energies in the range from 1 eV to 3 eV. It is found that for this energy region the transition ν = 0 → ν′ = 0 is the most preferential. This fact leads us to believe that addition of the upper surface will have a minor effect on the calculated probabilities of transitions from ν = 0 in the above-mentioned energy range.  相似文献
