应用激发态吸收增强瞬态热折射理论结合激发态折射理论研究了新型锌卟啉化合物Zn-porphyrin 中激发态吸收增强瞬态热折射与激发态折射间的相互竞争. 样品在不同脉宽激光激发下呈现自聚焦-自散焦间的转化. 当入射激光脉宽为4 ns时,激发态折射占主要地位,样品呈现自聚焦性质;当入射激光脉宽为8ns时,激发态吸收增强瞬态热折射占主要地位,激发态折射占次要地位,样品呈现自散焦性质. 关键词: 金属卟啉化合物 激发态折射 瞬态热折射  相似文献

We report for the first time to our knowledge on the preparation of colloidal solution of chalcogenide semiconductor As2S3 by laser ablation and the measurements of its nonlinear-optical characteristics using Z-scan method at the wavelength of Nd:YAG laser radiation ( = 1064 nm, = 25 ns). The nonlinear refractive index was measured to be –7.5 × 10–18 m2 W–1. Nonlinear absorption coefficient of chalcogenide solution was measured to be 1 cm GW–1.  相似文献

An experiment has been performed for measuring a nonlinear refractive index that is due to the polarizability difference ΔP between excited (4T2) and ground (4A2) states in a Cr3+:LiSAF crystal at λ = 647 nm. The latter one is responsible for a population lensing effect which has been monitored by using the eclipsing Z-scan technique. We have performed a data analysis that allows to distinguish between thermal and population contributions to the lensing effect. We have found ΔP = 4.6 × 10−25 cm3 which is in a good agreement with our previous measurements with a different technique.  相似文献

We report a technique to measure the value of the nonlinear refractive index of materials in presence of nonlinear absorption using a phase object at the entry of a 4f coherent imaging system. We show that it is possible to obtain a signal approximately due only to the induced nonlinear refraction in presence of two photon absorption. Experimental and simulated Z-scan transmittance profiles with and without phase object, as well as acquired and calculated images are presented here in order to validate our approach. We show also that the use of a reference material simplifies the measurement procedure avoiding computer fits.  相似文献

The influence of thermal effect on the third-order nonlinear optical properties of binuclear Zn(II) phthalocyanine in chloroform solution was studied. The nonlinear refraction and absorption of the sample was measured by using Z-scan technique with 4 ns laser pulses at 532 nm wavelength. The opposite signs of the effective nonlinear refraction index were observed by changing the focal length of focusing lens from 10 cm to 20 cm in the experimental setup. Changing the focusing lens increased the beam waist radius from 7 μm to 20 μm. The nonlinear absorption coefficient was reduced about 200 times based on changing the fluence or beam waist radius. The drastic changes in the third-order nonlinear optical parameters were attributed to thermal effect. To investigate the role of thermal effects even further the effective nonlinear refraction and absorption coefficients were studied by using different repetition rates, input powers and concentrations.  相似文献

The nonlinear optical properties of the poly1,4-diazophenylene-bridged-tris(8-hydroxy-quinoline) aluminum (PDPAlq3) solution were studied using single beam Z-scan technique with a continuous-wave Diode laser radiation at 657.2 nm with 10 Hz repetition rate. The results show that the solution of PDPAlq3 exhibits large nonlinear refractive index (n2 = −1.7642 × 10−12 m2/W) and nonlinear absorption coefficient (β = 1.12 × 10−6 m/W). The negative sign of the nonlinear refractive index n2 indicates that the material exhibits self-defocusing optical nonlinearity. The evaluation of the figure of merit (W = 1.8) shows that the solution of PDPAlq3 is sufficient for application in all-optical switching technology. These results show that the solution of PDPAlq3 have potential application in nonlinear optics.  相似文献

The room-temperature third order nonlinearities in GaAs/AlGaAs multiple quantum wells have been studied using reflection Z-scan technique. Band-filling effect is considered to be the major nonlinear mechanism of the nonlinear absorption. A mathematical expression for the refractive index of a semiconducting material with negative refraction is presented within the context of the plasma-optical effect. The basic ingredients for writing down this expression are the fact that the index of refraction of the above material is negative and the fact that free-carrier effective mass depends upon carrier spatial density. 文章从理论和实验上研究了二维三角晶格声子晶体第二能带具有回波(backward-wave)效应的负折射现象。Bragg散射将第二能带等频线(equifrequency surface)分成两类,它们分别凹向简约布里渊区(BZ)的K点和Г点,并由此导致了两种不同的回波负折射现象。理论和实验证明,这两类负折射的角度与声波的频率以及入射角的变化关系截然不同,同时在第二能带中,不仅存在回波负折射,还存在回波正折射,这两种折射所具有的回波效应都可以用于通过位相补偿效应来突破衍射极限。上述现象和左手材料中以及声子晶体第一能带中的折射现象是不相同的,揭示了声子晶体,第二能带具有更丰富的物理现象.  相似文献

采用掺镱光子晶体光纤飞秒激光放大器为抽运源,搭建了偏振分辨的Z-scan实验系统.实验研究了块状本征磷化镓(GaP)晶体的非线性吸收和非线性折射率系数.研究证明,在中心波长1 μm飞秒激光的作用下,本征GaP晶体的非线性吸收主要为三光子吸收.而且还表明本征GaP的非线性吸收和非线性折射率系数具有很强的各项异性、偏振相关性及饱和特性. 关键词: 磷化镓 Z-scan Kerr效应 三光子吸收  相似文献

A 4-(4,6-diaminopyrimidin-2-ylthio) substituted double-decker Lu(III) phthalocyanines (4) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-vis and 1H NMR spectroscopies. The nonlinear refractive index, nonlinear absorption and the optical limiting (OL) performance of the compound 4 in a 0.5 mm spectroscopic cell in DMF solution were investigated by using 4 ns pulse laser at 532 nm. Z-scan experiments have been conducted between 0.24 and 2.39 GW/cm2 peak intensities for 10 Hz repetition rate and also between 2.39 and 23.89 GW/cm2 peak intensities for 1 Hz repetition rate. The thermal effect contributes to the nonlinear response of the material higher than 0.72 GW/cm2 peak intensity at 10 Hz. We measured the effective nonlinear refractive index of the material as 1.2×10−11 esu at 3.5×10−4 M concentration with the peak intensity less than 0.72 GW/cm2 and we found that nonlinear absorption was very small. On the other hand, when concentration is increased to 2.4×10−3 M material's nonlinear absorption becomes dominant mechanism for the nonlinear response and the compound 4 indicates OL behavior at 2.4×10−3 M concentration.  相似文献

Some nontrivial effects (negative refraction and quantum vacuum effects) in gyroelectric chiral medium and magnetoelectric material are studied. It is shown that the refractive indices corresponding to some of the eigen modes in the gyroelectric chiral medium and magnetoelectric material may have negative real parts since both the gyroelectric and magnetoelectric parameters can dramatically reduce the refractive indices in certain frequency bands. As an anisotropic electromagnetic environment could be created due to the breaking of universal symmetry of vacuum mode distribution (and hence the noncompensation effect of a pair of counter‐propagating vacuum modes arises) inside the magnetoelectric material, the quantum vacuum in such an anisotropic electromagnetic environment may have a nonzero angular momentum. A novel quantum vacuum effect (angular momentum transfer between the quantum vacuum and the anisotropic magnetoelectric material) that may accompany the effect of magnetoelectric negative refraction is suggested. Such a nontrivial effect can be utilized to design sensitive, accurate measurement techniques, e.g., nanoscale‐sensitivity sensor.  相似文献

This paper demonstrates an all-optical switching model system comprising a single pulsed pump beam at 355 nm and a CW He--Ne signal beam at 632.8 nm with 2-(2^\prime -hydroxyphenyl)benzothiazole (HBT) in ethanol solution. The origins of the optical switching effect were discussed. By the study of nonlinear optical properties for HBT in ethanol solvent, this paper verified that the excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) effect of HBT and the thermal effect of solvent worked on quite different time scales and together induced the change of the refractive index of HBT solution, leading to the signal beam deflection. The results indicated that the HBT molecule could be an excellent candidate for high-speed and high-sensitive optical switching devices.  相似文献

运用等效传输线法研究了周期性层状铁氧体-电介质/金属复合材料导模模式的有效折射率.通过对复合材料导模模式的色散特性和有效折射率的分析和计算,发现负折射率只能出现在TE模式激励下的某一频带内.在负折射率频带内的电磁损耗与复合材料中介电材料的性质密切相关,减小介电损耗可以有效降低复合材料的损耗,但过分小的介电损耗则会导致负折射率的消失. 关键词: 负折射率 导模模式 等效传输线法  相似文献

针对激光二极管端面纵向泵浦Nd:YVO4激光器,本文理论和实验详细研究了Nd:YVO4晶体的热透镜效应。在激光二极管的中心波长分别为808nm和880nm及分别采用单端端面纵向泵浦和双端端面纵向泵浦结构情况下,实验测量了Nd:YVO4晶体的热透镜焦距,实验结果和理论预测基本吻合。同时在泵浦功率60W时获得了18.8W的连续基横模激光输出。  相似文献

Signs change of nonlinear refractive index in ZnSe is observed by employing a modified double 4f imaging system at the wavelength of 800 nm using picosecond pulses with different pulse energies. This process results from the competition of the bound electronic nonlinear refraction and the free carrier refraction. At low intensity, positive nonlinear refraction is obtained, which is attributed to bound electrons. As the increase of laser beam intensity, the nonlinear refractive index become small, and changes to negative. This is ascribed to free carriers generated by two-photon absorption. Additionally, the nonlinear refractive index of bound electron and the refractive index change of free carrier are determined unambiguously by a simple method.  相似文献

The stability of linear planar resonators involved in solid-state lasers is entirely decided by the thermal lens of the laser crystal. There exists a critical point between stable state and unstable state at which the thermally focusing point falls on the surface of one end mirror. Based on this fact, a new method for measuring the thermal focal length has been presented, and applied to three different Nd3+-doped (2%, 0.8%, and 0.5% ) Nd:YVO4 crystals at various absorbed pump power levels up to 10 W, the results show a good agreement with those of theoretical calculation. It also indicates that the thermal lensing is strongly dependent on the Nd3+-doped concentration, and is affected by crystal surface temperature, especially in the situation of weak thermal lensing.  相似文献
