用磁流体理论研究了契伦柯夫自由电子激光的性质,导出了空心束驱动的圆柱对称波导契伦柯夫自由电子激光的色散关系,利用色散关系计算了契伦柯夫不稳定性增长率,给出了饱和功率的估计值,考虑了束与介质间间隙对契伦柯夫自由电子激光的影响,并就空心束与实心束情况进行了比较。  相似文献

通过对层流平衡相对论电子的运动微分方程组进行数值求解,得到正则角动量在pθ=0,pθ=const.和pθ∝r2三种情况下,束流的传输特性.针对pθ=0的相对论实心电子束,利用数值求解得到了与解析方法一致的结果,从而验证了数值方法的合理性;针对无法用解析方法求解的pθ=0环行电子束、pθ=const.和pθ∝r2的情况,利用数值方法得到了束流和空间极限电流关于波导、电子束结构和二极管电压等参数的变化规律及对轴向导引磁场的要求.计算结果表明:当相对论电子束以层流平衡态传输时,环行束较实心束具有更高的空间极限电流和更低的轴向导引磁场,且当阴极发射面与导引磁场的磁场线垂直时,维持电子束层流平衡所需的轴向导引磁场最低;电子束在有限磁场导引下以层流平衡态传输时,空间极限电流明显大于无限大磁场导引下一维近似的情况.利用数值方法对层流平衡相对论电子束进行理论研究,更全面地揭示了电子束在正则角动量满足不同条件时的束流特性,为设计新型结构的高功率微波器件提供理论参考.  相似文献

Beam-plasma interaction is considered in a model of plasma microwave generator: cylindrical waveguide with thin annular plasma and spatially separated thin annular e-beam. Finite external longitudinal magnetic field and dissipation are assumed. Such a configuration is favorable to trigger a new type of dissipative beam instability with more critical, as compared to conventional, inverse proportional dependence of the growth rate on the dissipation.  相似文献

在高磁雷诺数下,当双撕裂模发展进入快速磁场重联阶段时,会发生二级磁岛不稳定性,加剧磁场能量的释放。本文基于扰动形式的守恒磁流体方程组发展高精度的数值模拟程序,在平板位形下研究反对称位形剪切流对双撕裂模中二级磁岛的影响。结果表明:随着剪切流强度和剪切梯度的增加,二级磁岛的数目以及电流片横纵比变小。此外,较强的极向剪切流能够抑制二级磁岛不稳定性的发生。  相似文献

本文讨论了强流电子束通过周期性静电场和静磁场的稳定性。说明了圆柱形电子束通过简谐电磁场和周期性非简谐场例如锯齿形,矩形,等腰梯形等静电场的稳定和不稳定区域。将各种场的主要不稳定区进行比较,表明锯齿形场的主要不稳定区宽度最小。指出当空间电荷效应不可略去时,电子束在稳定区内并不是无条件稳定而是有条件稳定的。这与空间电荷电流大小以及电子束的振幅有关。  相似文献

In the field of fast ignition scheme, self-generated magnetic fields via beam resistive filamentation have a significant role in the angular divergence of the relativistic electron beam, which can be affected by the intensity of other self-generated magnetic fields. In this context, the effects of pressure gradient sources arising from temperature and density gradient of the pellet along the beam flow direction are investigated. The results showed that the resistive filamentation instability can be strongly amplified compared to the fully homogeneous plasma. In this respect, for the distance away from the critical surface, the instability is protected for a longer wave number. Also, the beam and plasma properties such as the beam relativistic factor, the beam number density, and the degree of the plasma temperature anisotropy might be effective.  相似文献

The final, nonlinear, saturated state of the diocotron instability is investigated experimentally in a magnetized, annular, nonneutral plasma. As the wave grows to large amplitude, the plasma is organized into vortices. In the limit of high magnetic fields, and moderate central conductor biases, the diocotron modes compress the plasma into dense (n 3.5n0) localized clumps. Two-dimensional particle-in-cell computer simulations confirm the physical picture of vortex formation by resonant particle trapping.  相似文献

Non-shear flow can change the O-point position of a magnetic island, and thus it may play an important role in the effects of resonant magnetic perturbation(RMP) on the single tearing mode. We employ the nonlinear magnetohydrodynamics model in a slab geometry to investigate how RMP affects the single tearing mode instability with non-shear flow. It is found that the driving and suppressing effects of RMP on single tearing mode instability will appear alternately. When the flow velocity is small, the suppressing effect plays a major role through the development of the mode, and the tearing mode instability will be suppressed. With the flow velocity increasing, the driving effect will increase, while the suppressing effect will decrease. When the two effects reach equilibrium, the tearing mode will become stable.  相似文献

 带状电子注在螺线管磁场作用下传输时,易形成Diocotron不稳定性,导致电子注崩溃。采用Wiggler磁场聚焦带状电子注能防止Diocotron不稳定性。研究了Wiggler磁场聚焦带状注的作用机理,得出带状电子注在Wiggler场作用下的包络方程。结合理论分析,使用3维粒子模拟程序对带状电子注的Diocotron不稳定性和Wiggler磁场抑制不稳定性分别进行了模拟。研究表明:合适的选择磁场大小和周期能有效抑制Diocotron不稳定性,使得设计带状电子注行波管成为可能。  相似文献

In this work, the Weibel instability due to inverse bremsstrahlung absorption in laser fusion plasma has been investigated. The stabilization effect due to the coupling of the self-generated magnetic field by Weibel instability with the laser wave field is explicitly showed. The main result obtained in this work is that the inclusion of self-generated magnetic field due to Weibel instability to the inverse bremsstrahlung absorption causes a stabilizing effect of excited Weibel modes. We found a decrease in the spectral range of Weibel unstable modes. This decrease is accompanied by a reduction of two orders in the growth rate of instability or even stabilization of these modes. It has been shown that the previous analyses of the Weibel instability due to inverse bremsstrahlung have overestimated the values of the generated magnetic fields. Therefore, the generation of magnetic fields by the Weibel instability due to inverse bremsstrahlung should not affect the experiences of an inertial confinement fusion.  相似文献

Vlasov kinetic theory of the free electron laser employing waveguide frifting tube and helical pump is presented. Distinct from the former theories this theory has (1) taken into account the 3-d structure of the scattering field; (2) applied the plasma kinetic theory, which is more accurate than the other methods, to analysing the effect of the longitudinal. field; (3) taken account of the influence of the annular structure of the beam. The magnetic resonant effect appearing when the cyclotron frequency of electrons approaches the effective frequency of the magnetic pump is analysed and the growth rate formula in the linear regime derived. Results show that on taking into account the 3-d structure of the field and beam, one cannot arbitrarily choose the radius of the hollow beam, or else within certain range the instability may disappear altogether. Lastly, the equation for determination of the optimum beam radius is given and the possibility of raising growth rate by operating in high order modes shown.  相似文献

By using the equilibrium equations for a hollow cylindrical piezoelectric layer in absence of body forces and taking into the account a magnetized electron beam in hollow region of this system the effects of thermal pressure, electrostatic self field and the strength of external magnetic field of a non-relativistic magnetized electron beam column on radially polarized of an annular cylindrical piezoelectric crystal in the steady state are simulated. The electrostatic potential profile in piezoelectric layer due to the mechanical pressure and electrostatic self field of electron beam are studied. Furthermore the graphs of the difference of potential Δϕ between inner and outer surfaces of piezoelectric versus to electron temperature, density of beam and the strength of external magnetic field are presented.  相似文献

 从麦克斯韦方程出发,分析了带状电子注在螺线管磁场中传输时Diocotron模形成的原因;对周期凸起磁场(PCM)聚焦下的电子受力进行分析,分析表明PCM磁场能够抑制Diocotron模。结合理论分析,利用3维粒子模拟程序, 对Diocotron模的形成进行了研究,并利用了PCM磁场聚焦带状电子注,抑制Diocotron模。通过粒子模拟研究了磁场大小对PCM磁场抑制Diocotron模的影响,结果表明:磁场减少导致空间电荷力和磁力需要平衡,其侧面包络变厚。  相似文献

It is shown by using a two-dimensional fully relativistic electromagnetic particle-in-cell code that the tearing instability in a current sheet of pair plasmas is caused by Landau resonances of both electrons and positrons. Strong magnetic flux can be generated during coalescence of magnetic islands in the nonlinear phase of the tearing instability. The magnetic flux produced in an O-type magnetic island is caused by the counterstreaming instability found by Kazimura et al. [Astrophys. J. Lett. 498, L183 (1998); J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. 67, 1079 (1998)]. It is also shown that charge separation with a quadrupole-like structure is generated from the localized strong magnetic flux. During the decay of the quadrupole-like charge structure as well as the magnetic flux, there appear wave emissions with high-frequency electromagnetic waves and Alfvén waves as well as Langmuir waves.  相似文献

Collective processes taking place in the space charge of a microsecond relativistic electron beam with magnetic insulation are considered. The space-time characteristics of the low-frequency and high-frequency oscillations are found, and the effect of the magnetic compression of the beam near the cathode on these oscillations is studied. It is shown that the basic source of the low-frequency oscillations is the collective motion of the space charge, which takes place in crossed electric and magnetic fields near the cathode, while the primary reason for the high-frequency oscillations is two-stream instability in the beam. The possibility of suppressing both types of oscillations by compressing relativistic electron beams near the cathode is demonstrated. The effect of nonuniform magnetic fields, including their effect on the cathode plasma motion, is elucidated.  相似文献

The vibration and instability of a single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) under a general magnetic field are of particular interest to researchers. Using nonlocal Rayleigh beam theory and Maxwell’s equations, the dimensionless governing equations pertinent to the free vibration of a SWCNT due to a general magnetic field were derived. The effects of the longitudinal and transverse magnetic fields on the longitudinal and flexural frequencies as well as their corresponding phase velocities were addressed and are discussed below. The critical transverse magnetic field (CTMF) associated with the lateral buckling of the SWCNT was obtained. The obtained results reveal that the CTMF increases with the longitudinally induced magnetic field. Further, its value decreases as the effect of the small-scale parameter increases.  相似文献

在粒子模拟的PIC(particle in cell)模式中,与场有关的物理量如电磁场等分配在固定的网格点上,而粒子则可在计算区域的任意位置上.设计了一个二维三分量的粒子模拟程序,并用它计算了空间物理中两种常见的物理现象:束流不稳定性和磁场重联.在束流不稳定性问题中,一束速度为Vb=10VA(VA为Alfvén速度)的等离子体在背景等离子中运动,通过波粒相互作用可激发沿磁场方向传播的Alfvén波.在磁场重联问题中,具有Harris形态的电流片可自发地引起磁场重联,并且By分量的磁场具有四极形分布.  相似文献

The effect of three-dimensional perturbed velocity and three-dimensional perturbed current density on the beam-wave interaction of dielectric Cherenkov maser is analysed by use of the self-consistent linear field theory. Three distinct cases are considered. First, the propagation of the electron beam in an annular dielectric liner enclosed by a loss-free conducting wall is investigated. The dispersion equation and the simultaneous condition of the beam-wave interaction are derived. It's clearly shown that the instability of the interaction results from the coupling of the TM mode in the dielectric lined slow-wave waveguide to the beam mode via the electron beam. And the coupling is proportional to the density of the beam. The growth rate of the wave produced by the electron beam are obtained. Then, the case of a relativistic electron beam guided by a longitudinal magnetic field in the same slow-wave structure is examined. The motion of electrons could be approximated to be one-dimensional when the simultaneous condition of the beam-wave interaction of dielectric Cherenkov maser is satisfied. Finally, the effect of the background plasma on the instability of the beam-wave interaction is studied.This work is supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China.  相似文献
