An interactive satisficing method based on alternative tolerance is proposed for fuzzy multiple objective optimization. The new tolerances of the dissatisficing objectives are generated using an auxiliary programming problem. According to the alternative tolerant limits, either the membership functions are changed, or the objective constraints are added. The lexicographic two-phase programming is implemented to find the final solution. The results of the dissatisficing objectives are iteratively improved. The presented method not only acquires the efficient or weak efficient solution of all the objectives, but also satisfies the progressive preference of decision maker. Numerical examples show its power.  相似文献

An interactive system is introduced which supports a decision maker in solving programming models with crisp or fuzzy constraints and crisp or fuzzy goals. One part of the system is the determination of membership functions representing goals. To this purpose fuzzy extreme solutions are computed and are presented to the decision maker. These and each of the proposed compromise solutions are fuzzy-efficient.  相似文献

A multiobjective binary integer programming model for R&D project portfolio selection with competing objectives is developed when problem coefficients in both objective functions and constraints are uncertain. Robust optimization is used in dealing with uncertainty while an interactive procedure is used in making tradeoffs among the multiple objectives. Robust nondominated solutions are generated by solving the linearized counterpart of the robust augmented weighted Tchebycheff programs. A decision maker’s most preferred solution is identified in the interactive robust weighted Tchebycheff procedure by progressively eliciting and incorporating the decision maker’s preference information into the solution process. An example is presented to illustrate the solution approach and performance. The developed approach can also be applied to general multiobjective mixed integer programming problems.  相似文献

Multicriteria analysis is one of the analytical functions in the problem processing system of decision support systems (DSS). In this paper, an interactive and iterative fuzzy programming method for solving a quasi-optimization problem in complex decisions under constraints involving a multiple objective function is proposed. Comparing with an adapted gradient search method, a surrogate worth tradeoff method, and a Zionts—Wallenius method, an approximate preference structure is emphasized in the proposed method.  相似文献

In this paper, two new algorithms are presented to solve multi-level multi-objective linear programming (ML-MOLP) problems through the fuzzy goal programming (FGP) approach. The membership functions for the defined fuzzy goals of all objective functions at all levels are developed in the model formulation of the problem; so also are the membership functions for vectors of fuzzy goals of the decision variables, controlled by decision makers at the top levels. Then the fuzzy goal programming approach is used to achieve the highest degree of each of the membership goals by minimizing their deviational variables and thereby obtain the most satisfactory solution for all decision makers.  相似文献

This paper proposes an enhanced interactive satisficing method via alternative tolerance for fuzzy goal programming with progressive preference. The alternative tolerances of the fuzzy objectives with three types of fuzzy relations are used to model progressive preference of decision maker. In order to improve the dissatisficing objectives, the relaxed satisficing objectives are sacrificed by modifying their tolerant limits. By means of attainable reference point, the auxiliary programming is designed to generate the tolerances of the dissatisficing objectives for ensuring feasibility. Correspondingly, the membership functions are updated or the objective constraints are added. The Max–Min goal programming model (or the revised one) and the test model of the M-Pareto optimality are solved lexicographically. By our method, the dissatisficing objectives are improved iteratively till the preferred result is acquired. Illustrative examples show its power.  相似文献

This paper describes the use of preemptive priority based fuzzy goal programming method to fuzzy multiobjective fractional decision making problems under the framework of multistage dynamic programming. In the proposed approach, the membership functions for the defined objective goals with fuzzy aspiration levels are determined first without linearizing the fractional objectives which may have linear or nonlinear forms. Then the problem is solved recursively for achievement of the highest membership value (unity) by using priority based goal programming methodology at each decision stages and thereby identifying the optimal decision in the present decision making arena. A numerical example is solved to represent potentiality of the proposed approach.  相似文献

Mathematical programming models for decision support must explicitly take account of the treatment of the uncertainty associated with the model coefficients along with multiple and conflicting objective functions. Interval programming just assumes that information about the variation range of some (or all) of the coefficients is available. In this paper, we propose an interactive approach for multiple objective linear programming problems with interval coefficients that deals with the uncertainty in all the coefficients of the model. The presented procedures provide a global view of the solutions in the best and worst case coefficient scenarios and allow performing the search for new solutions according to the achievement rates of the objective functions regarding both the upper and lower bounds. The main goal is to find solutions associated with the interval objective function values that are closer to their corresponding interval ideal solutions. It is also possible to find solutions with non-dominance relations regarding the achievement rates of the upper and lower bounds of the objective functions considering interval coefficients in the whole model.  相似文献

An interactive approach for solving a multiple objective linear programming (MOLP) problem is presented. This approach assumes that the decision maker (in contrast to the analyst) can establish a (preferential) partial order Pv on the decision variables and a partial order Po on the objective functions. The solution approach presented in this paper requires minimal additional information in its interactive stage. Results are presented for a number of tests: both conceptual development and applicability in solving specific problems have been successfully tested.  相似文献

In this study, a dual-interval vertex analysis (DIVA) method is developed, through incorporating the vertex method within an interval-parameter programming framework. The developed DIVA method can tackle uncertainties presented as dual intervals that exist in the objective function and the left- and right-hand sides of the modeling constraints. An interactive algorithm and a vertex analysis approach are proposed for solving the DIVA model. Solutions under an associated α-cut level can be generated by solving a series of deterministic submodels. They can help quantify relationships between the objective function value and the membership grade, which is meaningful for supporting in-depth analyses of tradeoffs between environmental and economic objectives as well as those between system optimality and reliability. A management problem in terms of regional air pollution control is studied to illustrate applicability of the proposed approach. The results indicate that useful solutions for planning the air quality management practices have been generated. They can help decision makers to identify desired pollution-abatement strategies with minimized costs and maximized environmental efficiencies.  相似文献

In this article, we study the bi-level linear programming problem with multiple objective functions on the upper level (with particular focus on the bi-objective case) and a single objective function on the lower level. We have restricted our attention to this type of problem because the consideration of several objectives at the lower level raises additional issues for the bi-level decision process resulting from the difficulty of anticipating a decision from the lower level decision maker. We examine some properties of the problem and propose a methodological approach based on the reformulation of the problem as a multiobjective mixed 0–1 linear programming problem. The basic idea consists in applying a reference point algorithm that has been originally developed as an interactive procedure for multiobjective mixed-integer programming. This approach further enables characterization of the whole Pareto frontier in the bi-objective case. Two illustrative numerical examples are included to show the viability of the proposed methodology.  相似文献

In this paper, by considering the experts' vague or fuzzy understanding of the nature of the parameters in the problem formulation process, multiobjective linear fractional programming problems with block angular structure involving fuzzy numbers are formulated. Using the a-level sets of fuzzy numbers, the corresponding nonfuzzy a-multiobjective linear fractional programming problem is introduced. The fuzzy goals of the decision maker for the objective functions are quantified by eliciting the corresponding membership functions including nonlinear ones. Through the introduction of extended Pareto optimality concepts, if the decision maker specifies the degree a and the reference membership values, the corresponding extended Pareto optimal solution can be obtained by solving the minimax problems for which the Dantzig-Wolfe decomposition method and Ritter's partitioning procedure are applicable. Then a linear programming-based interactive fuzzy satisficing method with decomposition procedures for deriving a satisficing solution for the decision maker efficiently from an extended Pareto optimal solution set is presented. An illustrative numerical example is provided to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method.  相似文献

For decision making problems involving uncertainty, both stochastic programming as an optimization method based on the theory of probability and fuzzy programming representing the ambiguity by fuzzy concept have been developing in various ways. In this paper, we focus on multiobjective linear programming problems with random variable coefficients in objective functions and/or constraints. For such problems, as a fusion of these two approaches, after incorporating fuzzy goals of the decision maker for the objective functions, we propose an interactive fuzzy satisficing method for the expectation model to derive a satisficing solution for the decision maker. An illustrative numerical example is provided to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method.  相似文献

This study addresses an interactive multiple fuzzy goal programming (FGP) approach to the multi-period multi-product (MPMP) production planning problem in an imprecise environment. The proposed model attempts to simultaneously minimize total production costs, rates of changes in labor levels, and maximizing machine utilization, while considering individual production routes of parts, inventory levels, labor levels, machine capacity, warehouse space, and the time value of money. Piecewise linear membership functions are utilized to represent decision maker’s (DM’s) overall satisfaction levels. A numerical example demonstrates the feasibility of applying the proposed model to the MPMP problem. Furthermore, the proposed interactive approach facilitates the DM with a systematic framework of decision making process which enables DM to modify the search direction to reach the most satisfactory results during solving process.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to deal with a multiobjective linear programming problem with fuzzy random coefficients. Some crisp equivalent models are presented and a traditional algorithm based on an interactive fuzzy satisfying method is proposed to obtain the decision maker’s satisfying solution. In addition, the technique of fuzzy random simulation is adopted to handle general fuzzy random objective functions and fuzzy random constraints which are usually hard to be converted into their crisp equivalents. Furthermore, combined with the techniques of fuzzy random simulation, a genetic algorithm using the compromise approach is designed for solving a fuzzy random multiobjective programming problem. Finally, illustrative examples are given in order to show the application of the proposed models and algorithms.  相似文献

To make a decision that is defined by multiple, conflicting objectives it is necessary to know the relative importance of the different objectives. In this paper we present an interactive method and the underlying theory for solving multiple objective mathematical programming problems defined by a convex feasible region and concave, continuously differentiable objective functions. The relative importance of the different objectives for a decision maker is elicited by using binary comparisons of objective function vectors. The method is cognitively easy to use and in test problems has rapidly converged to an optimal solution.  相似文献

This paper proposes a fuzzy-robust stochastic multiobjective programming (FRSMOP) approach, which integrates fuzzy-robust linear programming and stochastic linear programming into a general multiobjective programming framework. A chosen number of noninferior solutions can be generated for reflecting the decision-makers’ preferences and subjectivity. The FRSMOP method can effectively deal with the uncertainties in the parameters expressed as fuzzy membership functions and probability distribution. The robustness of the optimization processes and solutions can be significantly enhanced through dimensional enlargement of the fuzzy constraints. The developed FRSMOP was then applied to a case study of planning petroleum waste-flow-allocation options and managing the related activities in an integrated petroleum waste management system under uncertainty. Two objectives are considered: minimization of system cost and minimization of waste flows directly to landfill. Lower waste flows directly to landfill would lead to higher system costs due to high transportation and operational costs for recycling and incinerating facilities, while higher waste flows directly to landfill corresponding to lower system costs could not meet waste diversion objective environmentally. The results indicate that uncertainties and complexities can be effectively reflected, and useful information can be generated for providing decision support.  相似文献

An interval-parameter fuzzy linear programming method (IFMOLP) is proposed in this study for multiple objective decision-making under uncertainty. As a hybrid of interval-parameter and fuzzy methodologies, the IFMOLP incorporates interval-parameter linear programming and fuzzy multiobjective programming approaches to form an integrated optimization system. The method inherits advantages of interval-parameter programming, and allows uncertainties and decision-makers’ aspirations to be effectively communicated into its programming processes and resulting solutions. Membership functions for both objectives and constraints are formulated to reflect uncertainties in different system components and their interrelationships. An interactive solution procedure has been developed based on solution approaches of the interval-parameter and fuzzy programming techniques, plus necessary measures for handling the multiobjective feature. A didactic example is provided in the paper to illustrate the detailed solution process. Possibilities of further improvements by seeking Pareto optimum and incorporating flexible preference within constraints are also discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, a new fuzzy linear programming (FLP)-based methodology using a specific membership function named modified logistic membership function is proposed. The modified logistic membership function is first formulated and its flexibility established by an analytical approach. This membership function is tested for its useful performance through an illustrative example by employing FLP. The developed methodology of FLP has provided confidence in applying to real-life industrial production planning problem. This approach of solving industrial production planning problem can provide feedback to the decision maker, implementer and analyst. In such cases, this approach can be called interactive FLP. There is a possibility to design the self-organizing of the fuzzy system for the product mix selection problem in order to find a satisfactory solution. The decision maker, analyst and implementer can incorporate their knowledge and experience to obtain the best outcome.  相似文献
