For discrete velocity Boltzmann models we have found (1+1)-dimensional shock waves and periodic solutions that are rational solutions with two exponential variables exp(ix + it) (spacex, timet). These exact solutions are sums of two rational solutions, each with one exponential variable (similarity solutions). We study the planar velocity models and explicitly write the results for the square 4-velocity and the hexagonal 6-velocity models introduced by Gatignol.  相似文献

We consider the coagulation-fragmentation model of Slemrod and coworkers which is essentially the two-dimensional Broadwell model including inelastic collisions. We construct two classes of similarity solutions (variable =x -t), positive for (- , ): the Rankine-Hugoniot solutions and the scalar Riccati similarity solutions. Previous solutions were built up with positivity along half of thex-axis. For the two classes, we determine in the parameter space, building up the solutions, domains corresponding to positive solutions.  相似文献

We present the solution of a linear solid-on-solid (SOS) model. Configurations are partially directed walks on a two-dimensional square lattice and we include a linear surface tension, a magnetic field, and surface interaction terms in the Hamiltonian. There is a wetting transition at zero field and, as expected, the behavior is similar to a continuous model solved previously. The solution is in terms ofq-series most closely related to theq-hypergeometric functions1 1.  相似文献

An exact formulation of two-dimensional chiral hydrodynamics with diffeomorphism and conformal anomalies is provided. The constitutive relation involving the stress tensor is computed. It reveals a one parameter class of solutions which is a new result. For a particular value of this parameter, the results found in the gradient expansion scheme are reproduced. Moreover, the constitutive relation is analogous to the corresponding relation for an ideal fluid, appropriately modified to include the chirality property, which has also been derived here.  相似文献

A wave function of Bethe ansatz form is used to obtain approximate solutions for a 1+1 dimensional Hubbard model. In this model a helical structure with infinite diameter is constructed to mimic the square lattice. Betheansatz analysis is performed along the helical line. By including the hopping integrals in perpendicular direction, the solutions show some recovery of two dimensional character. At half-filling, the system undergoes Mott transition, the critical value of on-site repulsion obtained by this scheme is smaller than that of the mean-field theory. For a given particle density, the energy level of corresponding one dimensional model is extended to a band. The relation of the results to the properties of two dimensional strong-correlation system is discussed.  相似文献

In the present paper we study the evolution of a system of hard disks moving in the plane with a finite number of velocities as in the framework of a discrete velocity model of the Enskog equation, proposed in previous papers. Starting from the BBGKY hierarchy of such a system we give existence and uniqueness results for the initial value problem in suitable Banach spaces. In particular, the main result presented is the global in time weak solution to the BBGKY hierarchy for local equilibrium initial data, in the thermodynamic limit.  相似文献

The asymmetric exclusion model describes a system of particles hopping in a preferred direction with hard core repulsion. These particles can be thought of as charged particles in a field, as steps of an interface, as cars in a queue. Several exact results concerning the steady state of this system have been obtained recently. A nonstatic and circularly symmetric exact solution of the Einstein equations (with a cosmological constant Λ and null fluid) in 2 + 1 dimensions is given. This is a nonstatic generalization of the uncharged spinless BTZ metric. For Λ = 0, the spacetime is though not flat, the Kretschmann invariant vanishes. The energy, momentum, and power output for this metric are obtained. Further a static and circularly symmetric exact solution of the Einsteinmassless scalar equations is given, which has a curvature singularity atr = 0 and the scalar field diverges atr = 0 as well as at infinity.  相似文献

We present the continued fraction solution for the stationary probability of discrete master equations of one-variable processes. After we elucidate the method for simple birth and death processes we focus the study on processes which introduce at least two-particle jumps. Consequently, these processes do in general not obey a detailed balance condition. The outlined method applies as well to solutions of eigenmodes of the stochastic operator. Further we derive explicit continued fraction solutions for the Laplace transform of conditional probabilities. All the various continued fraction coefficients are given directly in terms of the transition rates and they obey recursion relations. The method is illustrated for the stationary solution of a simple nonlinear chemical reaction scheme originated by Nicolis.  相似文献

We demonstrate that the 1 + 1 dimensional Higgs model is equivalent to the massive sine-Gordon model, and hence to the massive Schwinger model in a special case. We do this by deriving a dual Lagrangian which embodies instanton effects. Based on this equivalence, we discuss charge confinement and vacuum structure in the Lagrangian formalism.  相似文献

In this paper, via the extended tanh-function approach, the abundant exact solutions for discrete complex cubic-quintic Ginzburg-Landau equation, including chirpless bright soliton, chirpless dark soliton, constant magnitude solution (plane wave solution), triangular function solutions and some solutions with alternating phases, etc. are obtained. Meanwhile, the range of parameters where some exact solution exist are given. Among these solutions, solutions with alternating phases do not have continuous analogs. Moreover, in the lattice, the points of singularity of tan-type and sec-type solutions can be ‘between sites’ and thus the singularities can be avoided.  相似文献

A complete discrimination system for the fourth order polynomial is given. As an application, we have reduced a (1+1)-dimensional dispersive long wave equation with general coefficients to an elementary integral form and obtained its all possible exact travelling wave solutions including rational function type solutions, solitary wave solutions, triangle function type periodic solutions and Jacobian elliptic functions double periodic solutions. The ground state energy and entropy of the dilute mean field Ising model is computed exactly by a single order parameter as a function of the dilution coefficient. An analogous exact solution is obtained in the presence of a magnetic field with random locations. Results lead to a complete understanding of the geography of the associated random graph. In particular, we give the size of the giant component (continent) and the number of isolated clusters of connected spins of all given size (islands). We also compute the average number of bonds per spin in the continent and in the islands. Then, we tackle the problem of solving the dilute Ising model at strictly positive temperature. In order to obtain the free energy as a function of the dilution coefficient and the temperature, it is necessary to introduce a second order parameter. We are able to find out the exact solution in the paramagnetic region and exactly determine the phase transition line. In the ferromagnetic region we provide a solution in terms of an expansion with respect to the second parameter which can be made as accurate as necessary. All results are reached in the replica frame by a strategy which is not based on multi-overlaps.  相似文献
