The3He(γ, p)d reaction has been measured in the photon energy region between 200 MeV and 450 MeV at proton c.m. angles between 20° and 150°. Protons and deuterons were detected in coincidence with two time-of-flight spectrometers consisting of scintillation counters; both particles were identified and their energies and angles were measured. The angular distributions show a strong forward peak. The differential cross sections fall off with increasing photon energy without showing a significant influence of theΔ resonance.  相似文献

The differential cross sections of the reaction γp→π0p have been measured at photon energies between 390 MeV and 975 MeV with an energy step of 20 or 25 MeV. The angular region covers 11 angles between 15° and 130° in the c.m.s. A combination of a magnetic spectrometer and photon detector was used for the measurement in the angular region from 50° to 130°. At forward angles of 15°, 35° and 50°, π0 mesons were detected using a π0 detector consisting of a pair of photon detectors. The data obtained with two different detection systems overlap at the angle of 50° and coincide with each other within the experimental error. The results are compared with those of phenomenological partial-wave analyses.  相似文献

Differential cross sections for elastic scattering of pions by deuterons have been measured for centre-of-mass angles between 130° and 175°, and at laboratory energies 141, 177, and 260 MeV for π+, and at 151, 185, and 189 MeV for π?. Differential cross sections for the reactions 3He(γ, p)d and 4He(γ, p)t were measured at proton c.m. angles of 60° and 90° for photon energies ranging from 150–450 MeV with an average resolution of 8 MeV. Bremsstrahlung was used as the photon source; deuterons/tritons were analyzed in a magnetic spectrometer whereas coincident protons were detected in a plastic scintillator telescope. The experimental method includes a calibration by means of 1H(γ, π0)p differential cross section measurement at 90° c.m. in the same photon energy range. The 3He and 4He two-body photodisintegration differential cross sections show a monotonically decreasing variation with photon energy. In addition, partial data on the differential cross section of the reaction 4He(γ, n)τ at 90° and 120° neutron c.m. angle are given.  相似文献

The possibility of obtaining information about the reactionγnπ°n in theΔ resonance region from the reactionγdπ°np is analyzed. To this aim, the differential cross sectionsd 3 σ/dE n π n both for unpolarized particles and in case of polarized photons and deuterons as well as the asymmetryΣ for linearly-polarized photons are calculated at photon energies from 250 to 400 MeV in the diagrammatic approach. The contributions from the pole diagrams as well as one-loop diagrams both withn-p andπ-N-rescattering are taken into account. The main contribution to the differential cross sections ofπ° photoproduction on the neutron in the quasi-free kinematics arises from the neutron pole diagram. The correction due ton-p rescattering decreases with increasing pion angle and becomes to be less than 8% atΘ π ≥ 90°. The contributions of the proton pole diagram and the one ofπ-N rescattering were found to be negligible. Background effects are more pronounced in the case of the asymmetryΣ. However, they are also strongly suppressed in the neutron quasi-free kinematics at photon energies above 300 MeV.  相似文献

The momentum spectra of charged pions produced in the reaction 12C(γ, π±) have been measured for incident photon energies in the interval between 300 and 850 MeV in steps of 50 MeV. Pions with relatively high momenta have been detected by a magnetic spectrometer set at the lab angles 28.4° and 44.2°. All these spectra exhibit a clear singly peaked structure. Detailed features of the structure are quantitatively investigated and compared with a plane-wave impulse-approximation calculation. Calculated results are found to reproduce the spectral shape very well and the absolute magnitude is also rather well fitted by introducing the pion absorption effect properly.  相似文献

Measurements have been made of the polarisation parameters Σ, T and P for the process γp → π+n in the photon energy range 520–2250 MeV at c.m. angles between 30° and 120°. These data were obtained in a double polarisation experiment, using the polarised photon beam from the Daresbury electron synchrotron incident on a polarised proton target. Differential cross sections for 14N(γ, π+)14Cgs at a photon energy of 320 MeV, near the peak of the free nucleon delta resonance, have been measured at six angles ranging from 35° to 120°. Themomentum distributions of deuterons and nucleons from the reaction 4Не(γ, pn)d induced by bremsstrahlung photons whose spectrum extends up to the endpoint energy of 150 MeV weremeasured by means of a diffusion chamber placed in a magnetic field. These measurements were performed in four photon-energy intervals for deuterons and in the energy range between 100 and 150 MeV for nucleons. Angular and energy correlations of nucleons were measured at photon energies in the interval between 50 and 70 MeV. The results obtained in this way were analyzed on the basis of the quasideuteron model. The probability for final-state nucleon–deuteron interaction was estimated.  相似文献

The possibility of obtaining information about the reaction γn → πon in the Δ resonance region from the reaction γd → πonp is analyzed. To this aim, the differential cross sections d3σ/dEnπn both for unpolarized particles and in case of polarized photons and deuterons as well as the asymmetry Σ for linearly-polarized photons are calculated at photon energies from 250 to 400 MeV in the diagrammatic approach. The contributions from the pole diagrams as well as one-loop diagrams both with n-p and π-N-rescattering are taken into account. The main contribution to the differential cross sections of πo photoproduction on the neutron in the quasi-free kinematics arises from the neutron pole diagram. The correction due to n-p rescattering decreases with increasing pion angle and becomes to be less than 8% at Θπ ≥ 90°. The contributions of the proton pole diagram and the one of π -N rescattering were found to be negligible. Background effects are more pronounced in the case of the asymmetry Σ. However, they are also strongly suppressed in the neutron quasi-free kinematics at photon energies above 300 MeV.  相似文献

At the Bonn 2.5 GeV electron synchrotron the first measurements of the target asymmetry for the reaction γ + n ↑ → π? + p have been performed. The negative pions were detected in a magnetic spectrometer at a constant pion c.m. angle of 40° and photon energies between 0.45 GeV and 2.0 GeV. Deuterated butanol was used as target material. The polarization of the deuterons was about 16%. The results show a significant difference from the previously measured π+ asymmetry.  相似文献

The method is described of measuring the polarization observables Σ, P and T for the reaction γp → nπ+ in a double polarization experiment (polarized target + polarized beam). The measured angular distribution of these observables are presented for the photon energy range 280–420 MeV at c.m. pion emission angles between 30° and 150°. The polarisation parameters Σ, P and T have been measured for the process γp→π0p in the photon energy range 1300–2100 MeV and c.m. angles between 30° and 110°, in an experiment with a polarised beam and polarised target. The results are compared with a recent theoretical analysis which fits data from threshold to 16 GeV. The polarized target asymmetry for the process γp → π+n has been measured for incident photon energies below 1.02 GeV over a range of c.m. angles from 40° to 160°. π+ mesons from a polarized butanol target were detected by a magnetic spectrometer. The results are compared with predictions given by existing analyses. A tentative interpretation of the data is performed, and a larger contribution of S-wave resonances is suggested. The photocouplings of dominant resonances were hardly changed by the inclusion of new data and they seem to be almost uniquely determined.  相似文献

The polarization of the recoil neutrons from the reaction γp→π+n was measured at a c.m. angle of 105° for incident photon energies between 675 and 1125 MeV. A scattered π+ meson and a recoil neutron were detected in coincidence with a magnetic spectrometer and a neutron polarimeter system using liquid hydrogen. Results are compared with recent phenomenological analyses and the other existing data measured by the double polarization measurement technique.  相似文献
