Using the total-Routhian-surface(TRS)method,the rotational behaviors of fission isomers in the second well of actinide nuclei234 242U,236 244Pu and238 246Cm were investigated.The pairing-deformation-frequency self-consistent TRS calculations reproduced reasonably the experimental moments of inertia extracted from spectroscopic data.It is calculated that,in these largelyelongated(β2≈0.65 andβ4≈0.03)fission isomers,theν12[981]neutron andπ12+[651]proton align simultaneously at rotational frequencyω≈0.4 0.6 MeV(corresponding to spin I≈80),which leads to clear upbending in moments of inertia(MoI’s).Our calculations have indicated that the hexadecapole deformationβ4influenced significantly the frequency of the rotational alignment of the proton12+[651]orbit.  相似文献

Yields of the 101Mo, 135I, and 135m Cs isotopes from the photofission of the actinide nuclei 232Th 238U, and 237Np are measured. These fission fragments have specific nuclear structure features or are of practical use. The measurements are performed in the bremsstrahlung from the microtron of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) at an electron energy of 22 MeV. The yields of the fragments are measured by the activation method using a γ radiation HPGe detector.  相似文献

Induced fission reactions of fissioning compound nuclei that result from the capture of various incident particles (nucleons, γ rays, multiply charged ions) by target nuclei are investigated using the generalized nucleus model and the Wigner random matrix method. The effect produced on the fission widths of the compound nucleus by the competition between the excitation energies of its collective vibrational degrees of freedom that lead to its scission into fission fragments and its rotational and multi-quasiparticle states is analyzed. Bohr’s concept of transition fission states developed for near-barrier nuclear fission is generalized to the induced fission of nuclei with the excitation energies noticeably higher than the fission barriers. The temperature of the fissioning nucleus in the vicinity of the point of its scission into fission fragments is estimated.  相似文献

High-spin isomeric states in proton-rich A~190 nuclei have been investigated using configuration-constrained calculations of potential-energy surfaces. Spontaneous fission half life times of odd-odd and even-even nuclei in the region 97≦Z≦109 and 140≦N≦ 160 are calculated. New Nilsson potential parameters (κ, μ) generating the proper single particle spectrum are estimated. Angular momentum projections of odd-odd particles are properly taken into account. Hindrance factors 5–7 orders of magnitude are found forZ≦101 nuclei and 1–3 orders of magnitude for nucleiZ≧ 103.  相似文献

Isomeric states have been observed in fission-fragments produced by spontaneous fission of 252Cf. These states are found in neutron rich nuclei of different structure and deformations. About 50 isomeric nuclei have been observed using coincidences between γ-rays identified in EUROGAM II and fission fragments detected in photovoltaic cells (SAPhIR). Lifetimes in the range from 20 ns to 2μs have been measured. Presented calculations based on HFB +D1S force on new measured isomeric states in the 152,154,156Nd show evidence for K-isomers. The energy dependences of the cross sections for the fission of 232Th to 239Pu nuclei that is induced by protons of energy in excess of 50 MeV are proposed to be approximated by the sum of two functions. Of these, the first decreases exponentially with increasing proton energy. It represents the contribution of two-step fission, which competes with particle evaporation. The second function decreases exponentially as the energy grows to about 200 MeV, whereupon it increases up to an energy of 1 or 2.5 GeV. After that, it again decreases for 232Th to 233U nuclei or remains nearly unchanged for 237Np and 239Pu nuclei. This function is likely to represent the sum of the contributions from three modes of single-stage fission.  相似文献

The fragment mass and energy distributions from the proton-induced fission of compound nuclei 233Pa, 234,236,237,239Np, 239,240,241,243Am, and 245Bk at proton energy E p =10.3 and 22.0 MeV have been experimentally studied. It was revealed that the shapes of the asymmetric fission mass distributions are mainly defined by the proton numbers of compound nuclei and demonstrate only a weak dependence on the neutron ones. The detailed study of the fission fragment mass yields for compound nuclei Np and Am isotopic chains has shown that the asymmetric fission fragment charge distributions calculated within the unchanged charge density hypothesis for nuclei with equal Z C practically coincide.  相似文献

Progress in the experimental techniques used to investigate superdeformed fission isomers in the actinides allowed for detailed spectroscopic results of collective properties as well as for the identification of the rotational structure of multiphonon vibrational excitations. Fission barriers for even-even nuclei in the region (Th ... Ku) are calculated in the framework of the Strutinsky method and using the concept of dynamic fission paths. The single particle states are calculated in a deformed Woods-Saxon potential including axial asymmetry at the inner barrier and deviation from reflection symmetry at the outer barrier. It is shown that in the present model also the mass symmetric outer barrier is unstable against axially asymmetric (γ) distortions.  相似文献

We calculate neutrino-induced fission cross sections for selected nuclei with Z=84-92. We show that these reactions populate the daughter nucleus at excitation energies where shell effects are significantly washed out, effectively reducing the fission barrier. If the r process occurs in the presence of a strong neutrino fluence, and electron neutrino average energies are sufficiently high, perhaps as a result of matter-enhanced neutrino flavor transformation, then neutrino-induced fission could lead to significant alteration in the r-process flow in slow outflow scenarios.  相似文献
