I discuss collective positive-parity states in 18O in light of two recent experiments. Single-particle widths have been calculated and used to extract spectroscopic factors. Special attention is given to 4p -2h and 6p -4h cluster bands.  相似文献

We investigate to what extent 18Ne can be descibed as a three-body system made of an inert 16O core and two protons. We compare to experimental data and occasionally to shell model results. We obtain three-body wave functions with the hyperspherical adiabatic expansion method. We study the spectrum of 18Ne , the structure of the different states and the predominant transition strengths. Two 0+, two 2+, and one 4+ bound states are found where they are all known experimentally. Also one 3+ close to threshold is found and several negative-parity states, 1-, 3-, 0-, 2-, most of them bound with respect to the 16O excited 3- state. The structures are extracted as partial-wave components, as spatial sizes of matter and charge, and as probability distributions. Electromagnetic decay rates are calculated for these states. The dominating decay mode for the bound states is E2 and occasionally also M1 .  相似文献

Multi-nucleon transfer reactions in 18O + 90Zr and 16O + 90Zr have been studied at an incident energy of 90 MeV. The energy spectra and angular distributions are measured. The data have been analyzed to obtain cross-section dependence on the number of nucleons transferred and on the ground-state Q-values. In the 90Zr(18O, X); X = 16O, 17,16,15,14N, 14,13,12C, 12,11,10B, 10,9,7Be and 7,6Li reactions, 2n and 2n-correlated transfer cross-sections are observed to be enhanced as compared to the 16O + 90Zr reaction. A detailed comparison in the multi-particle stripping and elastic-scattering cross-section between these two systems are made in order to investigate the possible influence of the two valence neutrons in 18O nucleus. Diffractional model DWBA calculations, based on the direct surface transfer model, have been performed to understand the reaction mechanism of multi-nucleon transfer to continuum.Received: 12 September 2002, Revised: 24 September 2003, Published online: 27 January 2004PACS: 25.70.Hi Transfer reactions - 25.70.Bc Elastic and quasielastic scattering  相似文献

Experimental research on positive-pion photoproduction on the oxygen nucleus in the 16O(γ, π+p) reaction at high recoil momenta of the residual nuclear system was performed. The yield for the 16O(γ, π+p) reaction was analyzed using a model that takes Δ-isobar configurations in nuclei ground states into account, together with the earlier-measured yield of the12C(γ, π+p) reaction. The estimated number of isobars per nucleon N Δ = 0.012 ± 0.005 was obtained for the 12C nucleus, and 16O N Δ = 0.018 ± 0.004 was obtained for the 16O nucleus.  相似文献

The objective of the present study was to describe more precisely experimental data on elastic scattering in the 16O + 16O system at E lab = 124, 145, 250, 350, and 480 MeV and in the 16O + 12C system at E lab = 132, 170, 181, 200, 230, 260, and 281 MeV. The role of exchange interaction in the region of backward angles is investigated. The coefficient of incompressibility of nuclear matter is estimated at K = 205 MeV ± 15%.  相似文献

The fusion-fission reaction is treated as a multistep process. Langevin equations are used to describe the evolution of the system at each reaction stage. The parameters of the fusion process are calculated at the first stage. The results obtained in the input channel are employed as initial conditions in calculating the features of the fission process. The cross sections for fusion and fission are successfully described, and the cross sections for the formation of evaporation residues are estimated. In addition, the procedure used makes it possible to describe the mass distribution of fission fragments and the fragment-mass dependence of the multiplicity of prefission neutrons and to determine the mass-energy distribution of fission fragments. From the calculations, it follows that all the fission features of the reaction in question can be reproduced without considering the formation of a classical compound nucleus. The reaction times are so long that it is impossible to separate experimentally such events from the case of true fission through a compound nucleus.  相似文献

A brief review on the 2νββ decay of 100Mo to the 0+ excited state in 100Ru is performed. A weighted-average half-life value for the decay has been obtained, T1/2 = (6.8 ± 1.2) × 1020 yr. The corresponding average value for the nuclear matrix element was extracted, 0.095 ± 0.009.  相似文献

Excited states in 182Os were populated by the β+/EC decay of 182Ir following mass separation. Gamma-ray and conversion electron spectroscopy techniques were employed. Monopole (E0) contributions were determined in transitions populating the ground-state band. A systematic study of the low-spin structures in the Os isotopes is presented and a detailed analysis in the framework of a microscopic configuration mixing approach is performed.  相似文献

Two proton radioactivity studies have been performed on excited states of 18Ne produced, among other fragments, by 20Ne projectile fragmentation and excited via Coulomb excitation on a Pb target. Every incoming ion was tagged before interacting with the lead target on an event by event basis in order to discriminate the secondary reactions according to the projectile. Decay of 18Ne levels has been studied by complete kinematical reconstruction. In spite of the low statistics a couple of events looks very promising for two proton correlated emission.  相似文献

Starting fromthe Skyrme interaction f_ together with the volume pairing interaction, we study the g factors for the 21,2+ excitations of 132,134,136Te. The coupling between one- and two-phonon terms in the wave functions of excited states is taken into account within the finite-rank separable approximation. Using the same set of parameters we describe the available experimental data and give the prediction for 136Te, g(21+) = ?0.18 in comparison to +0.32 in the case of 132Te.  相似文献

Doppler shift attenuation was used to measure the lifetimes of 48Ti, 52Cr and 80Se nuclei excited states populated in the (n, n′γ) reaction using the neutron beam of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s WWR-K research reactor. The measured data are in good agreement with the latest literature data.  相似文献

A transfer-reaction experiment of 9Be(9Be, 10Be)8Be was performed at a beam energy of 45 MeV. Excited states in 10Be up to 18.80 MeV are produced using missing mass and invariant mass methods. Most of the observed high-lying resonant states, reconstructed from the α + 6He and t + 7Li decay channels, agree with the previously reported results. In addition, two new resonances at 15.6 and 18.8 MeV are identified from the present measurement. The 18.55 MeV state is found to decay into both the t + 7Lig.s. and t + 7Li* (0.478 MeV) channels, with a relative branching ratio of 0.93 ± 0.33. Further theoretical investigations are encouraged to interpret this new information on cluster structure in neutron-rich light nuclei.  相似文献

High-spin states in the 97Tc nucleus have been studied by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy with the reaction 82Se(19F,4nγ) at 68 MeV incident energy. Excited states have been observed up to about 8 MeV excitation and spin 43/2. The observed level scheme is compared with results of shell model calculations. A resonance-like structure in the excitation function for elastic and inelastic 14C + 12C interactions is investigated. Angular distributions for the 14C(12C,10Be)16O reaction at center-of-mass energies of 21.1, 23.5, and 24.6 MeV are obtained. It is shown that the angular distribution at the maximum cross section corresponds to the 12+ resonance and the 10Be + 16O structure. The position of the level with an angular momentum of 10+ is predicted.  相似文献

Neutron transition densities for the 2 + -8 + levels in 90Zr were extracted in the process of analyzing scattering at 400 MeV. They were compared with the calculated neutron transition densities and with the experimental proton transition densities. Radial distributions of the experimental neutron and proton transition densities for each state were found to be different.Received: 9 January 2004, Revised: 4 April 2004, Published online: 14 September 2004PACS: 25.40.Ep Inelastic proton scattering - 21.10.-k Properties of nuclei; nuclear energy levels  相似文献

The 53Cr resonance frequency in ammonium dichromate has been detected at 4202 kHz giving a Qcc of 8404 kHz (assuming η= 0). Calculations suggest that the value of the 53Cr quadrupole moment is about 84 mB lower that the currently accepted value. The resonance frequencies of two 17O nuclei have also been detected giving Qcc = 2800, 2890 kHz and η = 0.726, 0.780 respectively. The value for coupling and asymmetry parameter for 14N has been refined using zero field NQR giving a value Qcc = 78.8 kHz and η= 0.645 the asymmetry value being considerably lower than the value previous reported.  相似文献

A folding potential describing the -scattering on 16O over a broad energy range 25.8-146.0 MeV is constructed on the basis of -like cluster and unclustered-nucleon configurations of 16O. The resulting potential does not need any renormalization to fit the angular distribution of elastic cross-sections. The effects of the repulsive part of - and -nucleon interactions are investigated. The analysis suggests that both the - repulsive potential and the unclustered nucleonic configuration in the target are important to describe the scattering data over a broad range of incident energies. The root-mean-square radius for the 16O nucleus is deduced.Received: 5 December 2002, Published online: 9 October 2003PACS: 25.55.Ci Elastic and inelastic scattering - 24.10.Ht Optical and diffraction models - 21.60.Gx Cluster models  相似文献
