The aim of this paper is to describe, in as much detail as possible and constructively, the structure of the algebra of differential invariants of a Lie pseudo-group acting on the submanifolds of an analytic manifold. Under the assumption of local freeness of a suitably high order prolongation of the pseudo-group action, we develop computational algorithms for locating a finite generating set of differential invariants, a complete system of recurrence relations for the differentiated invariants, and a finite system of generating differential syzygies among the generating differential invariants. In particular, if the pseudo-group acts transitively on the base manifold, then the algebra of differential invariants is shown to form a rational differential algebra with non-commuting derivations.The essential features of the differential invariant algebra are prescribed by a pair of commutative algebraic modules: the usual symbol module associated with the infinitesimal determining system of the pseudo-group, and a new “prolonged symbol module” constructed from the symbols of the annihilators of the prolonged pseudo-group generators. Modulo low order complications, the generating differential invariants and differential syzygies are in one-to-one correspondence with the algebraic generators and syzygies of an invariantized version of the prolonged symbol module. Our algorithms and proofs are all constructive, and rely on combining the moving frame approach developed in earlier papers with Gröbner basis algorithms from commutative algebra.  相似文献

We study the general structure of Fermi conformal nets of von Neumann algebras on S 1 and consider a class of topological representations, the general representations, that we characterize as Neveu–Schwarz or Ramond representations, in particular a Jones index can be associated with each of them. We then consider a supersymmetric general representation associated with a Fermi modular net and give a formula involving the Fredholm index of the supercharge operator and the Jones index. We then consider the net associated with the super-Virasoro algebra and discuss its structure. If the central charge c belongs to the discrete series, this net is modular by the work of F. Xu and we get an example where our setting is verified by taking the Ramond irreducible representation with lowest weight c/24. We classify all the irreducible Fermi extensions of any super-Virasoro net in the discrete series, thus providing a classification of all superconformal nets with central charge less than 3/2. ABSTRACT

We consider a certain family of CIFSs of the generalized complex continued fractions with a complex parameter space. We show that for each CIFS of the family, the Hausdorff measure of the limit set of the CIFS with respect to the Hausdorff dimension is zero and the packing measure of the limit set of the CIFS with respect to the Hausdorff dimension is positive (main result). This is a new phenomenon of infinite CIFSs which cannot hold in finite CIFSs. We prove the main result by showing some estimates for the unique conformal measure of each CIFS of the family and by using some geometric observations.  相似文献

We consider the local equivalence problem for the class of linear second-order hyperbolic equations in two independent variables under an action of the pseudo-group of contact transformations. é. Cartan’s method is used for finding the Maurer-Cartan forms for symmetry groups of equations from the class and computing structure equations and complete sets of differential invariants for these groups. This paper considers the existence of conformally compact Einstein metrics on 4-manifolds. A reasonably complete understanding is obtained for the existence of such metrics with prescribed conformal infinity, when the conformal infinity is of positive scalar curvature. We find in particular that general solvability depends on the topology of the filling manifold. The obstruction to extending these results to arbitrary boundary values is also identified. While most of the paper concerns dimension 4, some general results on the structure of the space of such metrics hold in all dimensions. We study geometric and statistical properties of complex rational maps satisfying a non-uniform hyperbolicity condition called “Topological Collet-Eckmann”. This condition is weaker than the “Collet-Eckmann” condition. We show that every such map possesses a unique conformal probability measure of minimal exponent, and that this measure is non-atomic, ergodic, and that its Hausdorff dimension is equal to the Hausdorff dimension of the Julia set. Furthermore, we show that there is a unique invariant probability measure that is absolutely continuous with respect to this conformal measure, and that this invariant measure is exponentially mixing (it has exponential decay of correlations) and satisfies the Central Limit Theorem.We also show that for a complex rational map the existence of such invariant measure characterizes the Topological Collet-Eckmann condition: a rational map satisfies the Topological Collet-Eckmann condition if, and only if, it possesses an exponentially mixing invariant measure that is absolutely continuous with respect to some conformal measure, and whose topological support contains at least 2 points.  相似文献

We describe the fractal structure of expanding meromorphic maps of the form , where H and Q are rational functions whose most transparent examples are among the functions of the form with . In particular we show that depending upon whether the Hausdorff dimension of the Julia set is greater or less than 1, the finite non-zero geometric measure is provided by the Hausdorff or packing measure. In order to describe this fractal structure we introduce and explore in detail Walters expanding conformal maps and jump-like conformal maps. In this paper, conformal Kenmotsu manifolds are introduced. We consider CR-hypersurfaces of a conformal Kenmotsu manifold whose shape operator is parallel, scalar, recurrent or Lie \( \xi \)-parallel. It is proved that if the Lee vector field of a conformal Kenmotsu manifold is tangent and normal to these type of CR-hypersurfaces then the CR-hypersurfaces are totally geodesic and totally umbilic, respectively. An example of a three-dimensional conformal Kenmotsu manifold is constructed for illustration that is not Kenmotsu.  相似文献

We consider the conformal mapping of ``strip-like' domains and derive a number of asymptotic results for computing the conformal modules of an associated class of quadrilaterals. These results are then used for the following two purposes: (a) to estimate the error of certain engineering formulas for measuring resistance values of integrated circuit networks; and (b) to compute the modules of complicated quadrilaterals of the type that occur frequently in engineering applications. This paper is concerned with the invariant discretization of differential equations admitting infinite-dimensional symmetry groups. By way of example, we first show that there are differential equations with infinite-dimensional symmetry groups that do not admit enough joint invariants preventing the construction of invariant finite difference approximations. To solve this shortage of joint invariants we propose to discretize the pseudo-group action. Computer simulations indicate that the numerical schemes constructed from the joint invariants of discretized pseudo-group can produce better numerical results than standard schemes.  相似文献

We consider subsets F of $\mathbb{R}^n$ generated by iterated function systems with contracting conformal C1+γ-diffeomorphisms whose Hausdorff dimension is s. The unique s-self-conformal probability measure μ agrees with the normalised s-dimensional Hausdorff measure on F. Using the associated dynamical system and ergodic theory we develop a potential theoretic representation of the average densities of μ at almost all points of F. We discuss the relation between the Seiberg-Witten prepotentials, Nekrasov functions, and matrix models. On the semiclassical level, we show that the matrix models of Eguchi-Yang type are described by instantonic contributions to the deformed partition functions of supersymmetric gauge theories. We study the constructed explicit exact solution of the four-dimensional conformal theory in detail and also discuss some aspects of its relation to the recently proposed logarithmic beta-ensembles. We also consider “quantizing” this picture in terms of two-dimensional conformal theory with extended symmetry and stress its difference from the well-known picture of the perturbative expansion in matrix models. Instead, the representation of Nekrasov functions using conformal blocks or Whittaker vectors provides a nontrivial relation to Teichmüller spaces and quantum integrable systems.  相似文献

Summary We deal with a horizontal conformal Killing tensor of degree p in a Sasakian space. After some preparations we prove that a horizontal conformal Killing tensor of odd degree is necessarily Killing. Moreover, we consider horizontal conformal Killing tensor of even degree. The form of the associated tensor is determined completely and a decomposition theorem is proved. By far the most important class of pseudo-groups, both for theory and in essentially all applications, are the Lie pseudo-groups. In this paper we propose a definition of the Lie completion of a regular pseudo-group, and establish some of its basic properties. In particular, a pseudo-group and its Lie completion have exactly the same differential invariants and invariant differential forms. Thus, for practical purposes, one can exclusively work within the category of Lie pseudo-groups.  相似文献
