In this paper, we propose a new method called the fractional natural decomposition method (FNDM). We give the proof of new theorems of the FNDM, and we extend the natural transform method to fractional derivatives. We apply the FNDM to construct analytical and approximate solutions of the nonlinear time‐fractional Harry Dym equation and the nonlinear time‐fractional Fisher's equation. The fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. The effectiveness of the FNDM is numerically confirmed. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The pivotal aim of the present study is to employ fractional natural decomposition method (FNDM) to find the solution for a nonlinear system arising in thermoelasticity. The considered coupled system is generalised many physical phenomena associated with the material with elastic characters and its temperature and also which is called a Cauchy problem. We consider the coupled system by incorporating the Caputo fractional operator and investigate three distinct cases for different initial values to illustrate the applicability and efficiency of the FNDM. With respect to fractional order, we capture the behaviour of the achieved solution cited in three different cases and exemplified with the aid of 2D and 3D plots for the particular value of the parameters in the model. Moreover, some interesting behaviours of the projected model are confirms the prominence of the employed fractional operator while analysing the nonlinear coupled equations exemplifying real-world problems and also shows the capability of the considered algorithm.  相似文献

In this article, we consider the finite element method (FEM) for two‐dimensional linear time‐fractional Tricomi‐type equations, which is obtained from the standard two‐dimensional linear Tricomi‐type equation by replacing the first‐order time derivative with a fractional derivative (of order α, with 1 <α< 2 ). The method is based on finite element method for space and finite difference method for time. We prove that the method is unconditionally stable, and the error estimate is presented. The comparison of the FEM results with the exact solutions is made, and numerical experiments reveal that the FEM is very effective. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this work, we design and analyze a numerical scheme for solving the generalized time‐fractional Telegraph‐type equation (GTFTTE) which is defined using the generalized time fractional derivative (GTFD) proposed recently by Agrawal. The GTFD involves the scale and the weight functions, and reduces to the traditional Caputo derivative for a particular choice of the weight and the scale functions. The scale and the weight functions play an important role in describing the behavior of real‐life physical systems and thus we study the solution behavior of the GTFTTE by varying the weight and the scale functions in the GTFD. We investigate the solution profile of the GTFTTE under some of these choices. We also provide the stability and the convergence analysis of the proposed numerical scheme for the GTFTTE. We consider two test examples to perform numerical simulations.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the numerical solution to time‐fractional partial differential equations with variable coefficients that involve temporal Caputo derivative. A spectral method based on Gegenbauer polynomials is taken for approximating the solution of the given time‐fractional partial differential equation in time and a collocation method in space. The suggested method reduces this type of equation to the solution of a linear algebraic system. Finally, some numerical examples are presented to illustrate the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper presents numerical solutions for the space‐ and time‐fractional Korteweg–de Vries equation (KdV for short) using the variational iteration method. The space‐ and time‐fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. In this method, general Lagrange multipliers are introduced to construct correction functionals for the problems. The multipliers in the functionals can be identified optimally via variational theory. The iteration method, which produces the solutions in terms of convergent series with easily computable components, requiring no linearization or small perturbation. The numerical results show that the approach is easy to implement and accurate when applied to space‐ and time‐fractional KdV equations. The method introduces a promising tool for solving many space–time fractional partial differential equations. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq 2007  相似文献

In this paper, shifted Legendre polynomials will be used for constructing the numerical solution for a class of multiterm variable‐order fractional differential equations. In the proposed method, the shifted Legendre operational matrix of the fractional variable‐order derivatives will be investigated. The fundamental problem is reduced to an algebraic system of equations using the constructed matrix and the collocation technique, which can be solved numerically. The error estimate of the proposed method is investigated. Some numerical examples are presented to prove the applicability, generality, and accuracy of the suggested method.  相似文献

In this letter, we implement a relatively new analytical technique, the homotopy perturbation method (HPM), for solving linear partial differential equations of fractional order arising in fluid mechanics. The fractional derivatives are described in Caputo derivatives. This method can be used as an alternative to obtain analytic and approximate solutions of different types of fractional differential equations applied in engineering mathematics. The corresponding solutions of the integer order equations are found to follow as special cases of those of fractional order equations. Some numerical examples are presented to illustrate the efficiency and reliability of HPM. He's HPM, which does not need small parameter is implemented for solving the differential equations. In this method, a homotopy is introduced to be constructed for the equation. The initial approximations can be freely chosen with possible unknown constants that can be determined by imposing the boundary and initial conditions. It is predicted that HPM can be found widely applicable in engineering. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq 2010  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a two‐dimensional multi‐term time‐fractional Oldroyd‐B equation on a rectangular domain. Its analytical solution is obtained by the method of separation of variables. We employ the finite difference method with a discretization of the Caputo time‐fractional derivative to obtain an implicit difference approximation for the equation. Stability and convergence of the approximation scheme are established in the L ‐norm. Two examples are given to illustrate the theoretical analysis and analytical solution. The results indicate that the present numerical method is effective for this general two‐dimensional multi‐term time‐fractional Oldroyd‐B model.  相似文献

We propose and analyze a spectral Jacobi-collocation approximation for fractional order integro-differential equations of Volterra type. The fractional derivative is described in the Caputo sense. We provide a rigorous error analysis for the collection method, which shows that the errors of the approximate solution decay exponentially in L norm and weighted L2-norm. The numerical examples are given to illustrate the theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper, high-order numerical methods for time-Caputo and space-Riesz fractional Bloch-Torrey equations in one- and two-dimensional space are constructed, where the second-order backward fractional difference operator and the sixth-order fractional-compact difference operator are applied to approximate the time and space fractional derivatives, respectively. The stability and convergence of the methods are analyzed and it is shown that the convergence orders are higher than the earlier work. Finally, some numerical experiments are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the methods and confirm our theoretical results.  相似文献

This paper is motivated from some recent papers treating the problem of the existence of a solution for impulsive differential equations with fractional derivative. We firstly show that the formula of solutions in cited papers are incorrect. Secondly, we reconsider a class of impulsive fractional differential equations and introduce a correct formula of solutions for a impulsive Cauchy problem with Caputo fractional derivative. Further, some sufficient conditions for existence of the solutions are established by applying fixed point methods. Some examples are given to illustrate the results.  相似文献

In this paper, a new two‐dimensional fractional polynomials based on the orthonormal Bernstein polynomials has been introduced to provide an approximate solution of nonlinear fractional partial Volterra integro‐differential equations. For this aim, the fractional‐order orthogonal Bernstein polynomials (FOBPs) are constructed, and its operational matrices of integration, fractional‐order integration, and derivative in the Caputo sense and product operational matrix are derived. These operational matrices are utilized to reduce the under study problem to a nonlinear system of algebraic equations. Using the approximation of FOBPs, the convergence analysis and error estimate associated to the proposed problem have been investigated. Finally, several examples are included to clarify the validity, efficiency, and applicability of the proposed technique via FOBPs approximation.  相似文献

This study presents a robust modification of Chebyshev ? ‐weighted Crank–Nicolson method for analyzing the sub‐diffusion equations in the Caputo fractional sense. In order to solve the problem, by discretization of the sub‐fractional diffusion equations using Taylor's expansion a linear system of algebraic equations that can be analyzed by numerical methods is presented. Furthermore, consistency, convergence, and stability analysis of the suggested method are discussed. In this framework, compact structures of sub‐diffusion equations are considered as prototype examples. The main advantage of the proposed method is that, it is more efficient in terms of CPU time, computational cost and accuracy in comparing with the existing ones in open literature.  相似文献

In this paper, we implement Chebyshev pseudo-spectral method for solving numerically system of linear and non-linear fractional integro-differential equations of Volterra type. The proposed technique is based on the new derived formula of the Caputo fractional derivative. The suggested method reduces this type of systems to the solution of system of linear or non-linear algebraic equations. We give the convergence analysis and derive an upper bound of the error for the derived formula. To demonstrate the validity and applicability of the suggested method, some test examples are given. Also, we present a comparison with the previous work using the homotopy perturbation method.  相似文献

In a recent paper [Odibat Z, Momani S, Erturk VS. Generalized differential transform method: application to differential equations of fractional order, Appl Math Comput. submitted for publication] the authors presented a new generalization of the differential transform method that would extended the application of the method to differential equations of fractional order. In this paper, an application of the new technique is applied to solve fractional differential equations of the form y(μ)(t)=f(t,y(t),y(β1)(t),y(β2)(t),…,y(βn)(t)) with μ>βn>βn-1>…>β1>0, combined with suitable initial conditions. The fractional derivatives are understood in the Caputo sense. The method provides the solution in the form of a rapidly convergent series. Numerical examples are used to illustrate the preciseness and effectiveness of the new generalization.  相似文献

In this article, we implement relatively new analytical techniques, the variational iteration method and the Adomian decomposition method, for solving nonlinear partial differential equations of fractional order. The fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. The two methods in applied mathematics can be used as alternative methods for obtaining analytic and approximate solutions for different types of fractional differential equations. In these schemes, the solution takes the form of a convergent series with easily computable components. Numerical results show that the two approaches are easy to implement and accurate when applied to partial differential equations of fractional order.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the well‐posedness for time‐space fractional Ginzburg‐Landau equation and time‐space fractional Navier‐Stokes equations by α‐stable noise. The spatial regularity and the temporal regularity of the nonlocal stochastic convolution are firstly established, and then the existence and uniqueness of the global mild solution are obtained by the Banach fixed point theorem and Mittag‐Leffler functions, respectively. Numerical simulations for time‐space fractional Ginzburg‐Landau equation are provided to verify the analysis results.  相似文献
