The electrochemical behavior of berberine, an isoquinoline plant alkaloid with a wide spectrum of physiological effects, was studied at a glassy carbon electrode using cyclic, differential pulse and square‐wave voltammetry. The oxidation of berberine is a quasireversible, diffusion‐controlled process and occurred in a cascade mechanism with the formation of several oxidation products. The diffusion coefficient of berberine was calculated from cyclic voltammetry studies to be D=1.69×10?6 cm2 s?1. The oxidation process of berberine is also pH dependent and the number of electrons and protons transferred was determined using differential pulse voltammetry. The formation of several oxidation products that adsorbed at the glassy carbon electrode surface was observed and their electrochemical behavior characterized. A mechanism for the oxidation of berberine at a glassy carbon electrode was proposed.  相似文献

Some dithiophosphonate derivatives were synthesized and the electrochemical reduction mechanism was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), square wave voltammetry (SWV) and chronoamperometry (CA) in 0.1 M tetrabutylammoniumtetrafluoroborate (TBATFB) in acetonitrile at platinum (Pt) and gold (Au) electrodes. Dithiophosphonates showed a cyclic voltammetric reduction peak at about ?1.1 V at Pt and ?1.3 V at Au electrode (vs. Ag/Ag+) in this media. It was also shown that dithiophosphonates can be determined quantitatively in acetonitrile using a calibration graph. The number of electrons transferred were calculated as 2 using ferrocene as a reference compound at the UME electrode. Mechanism of dithiophosphonates was also examined on Pt and Au electrodes and electrochemical reduction of dithiophosphonates seems to follow an EC mechanism with an irreversible electron transfer step. The reaction product in the bulk electrolysis experiment was isolated and identified using proton‐coupled P‐31 NMR, 13C‐NMR and IR spectroscopy. The adsorption tests for dithiophosphonates were revealed that no strong or weak adsorption phenomena exist on both Pt and Au electrodes. Simulation curves were acquired by DigiSim 3.03 version to investigate the reduction mechanism and to estimate the kinetic parameters for electrochemical and chemical steps.  相似文献

The electrochemical response of a modified-carbon nanotubes paste electrode with p-aminophenol was investigated as an electrochemical sensor for sulfite determination. The electrochemical behaviour of sulfite was studied at the surface of the modified electrode in aqueous media using cyclic voltammetry and square wave voltammetry. It has been found that under the optimum condition (pH 7.0) in cyclic voltammetry, the oxidation of sulfite occurs at a potential about 680?mV less positive than that of an unmodified-carbon nanotubes paste electrode. Under the optimized conditions, the electrocatalytic peak current showed linear relationship with sulfite concentration in the range of 2.0?×?10?7–2.8?×?10?4?mol?L?1 with a detection limit of 9.0?×?10?8?mol?L?1 sulfite. The relative standard deviations for ten successive assays of 1.0 and 50.0?µmol?L?1 sulfite were 2.5% and 2.1%, respectively. Finally, the modified electrode was examined as a selective, simple and precise new electrochemical sensor for the determination of sulfite in water and wastewater samples.  相似文献

In this work, we report the synthesis of porous activated carbon (AC). AC was derived from rotten carrot, at different values of activating temperature under inert atmosphere, employing chemical activation method and ZnCl2 as activation agent. On the basis of results observed by surface area and pore size analysis, effect of activation temperature on synthesized AC was determined. Other material properties such as morphology, thermal stability, vibrational response, and crystal structure of prepared AC were studied using standard techniques of material characterization. Further, the electrochemical performance of synthesized AC was studied as an electrode, in aqueous, organic and ionic liquid based electrolyte. It was found that the synthesized AC based electrode exhibits highest specific capacitance (135.5?F?g?1 at 10?mHz) in aqueous electrolyte and highest specific energy (29.1?Wh?kg?1 at 2.2?A?g?1) and specific power (142.5?kW?kg?1 at 2.2?A?g?1) in ionic liquid based electrolyte. This shows the suitability of synthesized material for use in energy storage applications.  相似文献

Abstract

Benzoyl peroxide (BP) was determined by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) using a glassy carbon electrode in a dichloromethane‐acetic acid (1.5×10?2 mol l?1) solution and tetrabutyl ammonium perchlorate (0.01 mol l?1) as the supporting electrolyte. The peak potential was ?0.045 V (vs. Ag/AgCl). There was a good linear relationship between the peak current and the benzoyl peroxide concentration in the range of 2.5×10?6–1.0×10?4 mol l?1. The detection limit of the method was 2.5×10?7 mol l?1. The recovery was 94.8–106.0%. The samples of wheat flour and the pharmaceutical preparations for the treatment of acne vulgaris were directly detected with desired results. The reaction mechanism of benzoyl peroxide on the electrode was also discussed, which was two electrons and two protons irreversible reaction.  相似文献

A modified carbon paste electrode was prepared by incorporating the TiO2 nanoparticles in the carbon paste matrix. The electrochemical behavior of gallic acid (GA) is investigated on the surface of the electrode using cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry. The surface morphology of the prepared electrode was characterized using the scanning electron microscopy. The results indicate that the electrochemical response of GA is improved significantly at the modified electrode compared with the unmodified electrode. Furthermore, the capabilities of electron transfer on these two electrodes were also investigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Under the optimized condition, a linear dynamic range of 2.5?×?10?6 to 1.5?×?10?4?mol?L?1 with detection limit of 9.4?×?10?7?mol?L?1 for GA is obtained in buffered solutions with pH 1.7. Finally, the proposed modified electrode was successfully used in real sample analysis.  相似文献

Voltammetric behavior of two mercaptopyrimidine derivatives (2‐thiouracil and 2‐thiobarbituric acid) has been studied by cyclic voltammetry at a cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc)‐modified carbon‐paste electrode. The results of voltammetric determinations showed that the CoPc in the matrix of modified electrode acts as catalyst for electrooxidation of these thiols (RSH), lowering the overpotential of the reaction and significantly increasing the sensitivity for detection of thiols in neutral conditions. The results of voltammetric and polarization measurements in solutions with various pHs were used for prediction of the mechanism of electrocatalytic oxidation at the surface of modified electrode. These results showed that at the modified electrode, electrochemical oxidation of thiolate anion (RS?) is the rate‐determining step. It was found that the modified electrode exhibits good selectivity for catalytic oxidation of mercaptopyrimidines over other biologically important mercaptans such as cysteine, glutathione and thioglycolic acid. The results demonstrate that the peak current for thiol oxidation has a linear variation with the concentration in the range of 1×10?2–1×10?5 M. This system can be used for sensitive and selective voltammetric detection of mercaptopyrimidine derivatives.  相似文献

The paper describes the first electrochemical method (differential pulse adsorptive stripping voltammetry, DPAdSV) using a screen‐printed sensor with a carbon/carbon nanofibers working electrode (SPCE/CNFs) for the direct determination of low (real) concentrations of paracetamol (PA) in environmental water samples. By applying this sensor together with DPAdSV, two linear PA concentration ranges from 2.0×10?9 to 5.0×10?8 mol L?1 (r=0.9991) and 1.0×10?7–2.0×10?6 mol L?1 ( r=0.9994) were obtained. For the accumulation time of 90 s, the limit of detection was 5.4×10?10 mol L?1. Moreover, the SPCE/CNFs sensor and the DPADSV procedure for PA determination are potentially applicable in field analysis. The process of PA adsorption at the SPCE/CNFs surface was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and theoretical studies. In the theoretical study of the interaction of CNF and PA, the first species was modelled by graphene‐like clusters containing up to 37 rings. It was found that the preferable orientation of PA is parallel to the carbon surface with the binding energy of about ?68 kJ/mol calculated by symmetry‐adapted perturbation theory (SAPT). Both the selectivity and the accuracy of the developed sensor for real sample analysis were also investigated using Polish river and sea samples.  相似文献

Salicylic acid is a phytohormone, playing crucial roles in signal transduction, crop growth, and development, and defense to environmental challenges. In this study, a highly selective electrochemical sensor was designed and used to determine salicylic acid using molecularly imprinted polymers for recognition. The electrochemical sensor was fabricated via stepwise modification of gold nanoparticle–graphene–chitosan and molecularly imprinted polymers on a glassy carbon electrode. With electrochemical deposition, a gold nanoparticle–graphene–chitosan film was deposited on the glassy carbon electrode and enhanced the sensitivity. Molecularly imprinted polymers with adsorbed template salicylic acid were added to the surface of the modified electrode. Cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were used to characterize the modified electrodes. Salicylic acid in wheat was quantified by the sensor using the molecularly imprinted polymer/gold nanoparticle–graphene–chitosan/glassy carbon electrode. Concentrations of salicylic acid from 5?×?10?10 to 5?×?10?5?mol?L?1 were determined showing that the developed sensor was suitable for the analysis of food.  相似文献

A p‐chloranil modified carbon paste electrode was constructed and the electrochemical behavior of this electrode was studied in the aqueous solution with different pH. From the E1/2–pH diagram for this compound the values of formal potential E0' and pKa of some different redox and acid‐base couples depending on the solution pH were estimated. The diffusion coefficient, D, value for p‐chloranil was estimated 1.5×10?7 cm2 s?1. It has been shown by direct current cyclic voltammetry and double potential step chronoamperometry, that this p‐chloranil incorporated carbon paste electrode, can catalyze the oxidation of ascorbic acid in the aqueous buffered solution. Under the optimum condition (pH 7.00), the oxidation of ascorbic acid at the surface of such an electrode occurs at a potential about 325 mV less positive than that at an unmodified carbon past electrode. The catalytic oxidation peak currents was linearly dependent on the ascorbic acid concentration and a linear calibration curve was obtained in the range of 7×10?5 M–4×10?3 M of ascorbic acid with a correlation coefficient of 0.9998. The limit of detection (3σ) was determined as 3.5×10 ?5 M. This method was used as simple, selective and precise voltammetric method for determination of ascorbic acid in pharmaceutical preparations.  相似文献

The cadmium-tellurium quantum dots were studied by absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy. Scanning electron microscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were used to characterize the structure morphology of the composite matrix. The electrochemiluminescence emission was linear with the concentration of hydrogen peroxide in the range of 3.5?×?10?7 to 1.1?×?10?5?M with a determination limit of 2.1?×?10?7?M. Furthermore, the modified electrode showed excellent reproducibility and stability.  相似文献

In the present research, the electro oxidation of methanol was investigated by different electrochemical methods at a carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified with bis(salicylaldehyde)‐nickel(II)‐dihydrate complex (Ni(II)‐BS) and reduced graphene oxide (RGO) (which named Ni(II)‐BS/RGO/CPE) in an alkaline solution. This modified electrode showed very efficient activity for oxidation of methanol. It was found that methanol was oxidized by NiOOH groups generated by further electrochemical oxidation of nickel (II) hydroxide on the surface of the modified electrode. The rate constant and electron transfer coefficient were calculated to be 2.18 s?1 and 0.4, respectively. The anodic peak currents revealed a linear dependency with the square root of scan rate. This behaviour is the characteristic of a diffusion controlled process, so the diffusion coefficient of methanol was found to be 1.16×10?5 cm2 s?1 and the number of transferred electron was calculated to be 1. Moreover, differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) investigations showed that the peak current values were proportional to the concentration of methanol in two linear ranges. The obtained linear ranges were from 0.5 to 100.0 µM (R2=0.991) and 400.0 to 1300.0 µM (R2=0.992), and the detection limit was found to be 0.19 µM for methanol determination. Generally, the Ni(II)‐BS/RGO/CPE sensor was used for determination of methanol in an industrial ethanol solution containing 4.0 % methanol.  相似文献

Diphenylamine (DPA) monomers have been electropolymerized on the amino‐functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotube (AFCNT) composite film modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The surface morphology of PDPA‐AFCNT was studied using field‐emission scanning electron microscopy (FE‐SEM). The interfacial electron transfer phenomenon at the modified electrode was studied using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The PDPA‐AFCNT/GCE represented a multifunctional sensor and showed good electrocatalytic behavior towards the oxidation of catechol and the reduction of hydrogen peroxide. Rotating‐disk electrode technique was applied to detect catechol with a sensitivity of 1360 µA mM?1 cm?2 and a detection limit of 0.01 mM. Amperometric determination of hydrogen peroxide at the PDPA‐AFCNT film modified electrode results in a linear range from 10 to 800 µM, a sensitivity of 487.1 µA mM?1 cm?2 and detection limit of 1 µM. These results show that the nano‐composite film modified electrode can be utilized to develop a multifunctional sensor.  相似文献

A novel and simple biosensor based on poly(indoleacetic acid) film-modified electrode (PIAA/CPE) was fabricated by electrochemical polymerization of indoleacetic acid on a carbon paste electrode (CPE) through cyclic voltammetry. The resulting electrode was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, and the electrochemical behaviors of dopamine (DA) and epinephrine (EP) at the electrode were studied. It was illustrated that PIAA/CPE had excellent electrochemical catalytic activities toward DA and EP. The anodic peak currents (I pa) were dramatically enhanced by about seven-fold for DA and ten times for EP at PIAA/CPE. Thus, the determinations of DA and EP were carried out using PIAA/CPE successfully. The linear responses were obtained in the range of 3.0?×?10?7~7.0?×?10?4 and 1.0?×?10?6 ~8.0?×?10?4 mol L?1 with the detection limits (3σ) of 1?×?10?7 and 4?×?10?7 mol L?1 corresponding with DA and EP, respectively. Moreover, the cathodic peaks of DA and EP were well-separated with a potential difference about 325 mV in pH 5.3 phosphate-buffered saline, so simultaneous determination of DA and EP was carried out in this paper. Additionally, the interference studies showed that the PIAA/CPE exhibited excellent selectivity in the presence of ascorbic acid (AA). With good selectivity and sensitivity, the present method has been successfully applied to the determination of DA and EP in pharmaceutical samples.  相似文献

Differential pulse voltammetric determination of selenocystine (SeC) using selenium‐gold film modified glassy carbon electrode ((Se‐Au)/GC) is presented. In 0.10 mol?L?1 KNO3 (pH 3.20) solution, SeC yields a sensitive reduction peak at ?740 mV on (Se‐Au)/GC electrode. The peak current has a linear relationship with the concentration of SeC in the range of 5.0×10?8–7.0×10?4 mol?L?1, and a 3σ detection limit of SeC is 3.0×10?8 mol?L?1. The relative standard deviation of the reduction current at SeC concentration of 10?6 mol?L?1 is 3.88% (n=8) using the same electrode, and 4.19% when using three modified electrodes prepared at different times. The content of SeC in the selenium‐enriched yeast and selenium‐enriched tea is determined. The total selenium in ordinary or selenium‐enriched tea is determined by DAN fluorescence method. The results indicate that in selenium‐enriched yeast about 20% of total selenium is present as SeC and in selenium‐enriched tea SeC is the major form of selenoamino acids. The total selenium content in selenium‐enriched tea soup is 0.09 μgSe/g accounting by 7% compared with that in selenium‐enriched tea. Hence, only a little amount of selenium is utilized by drinking tea, and most selenium still stay in tealeaf. Uncertainty are 22.4% and 16.1% for determination of SeC in selenium‐enriched yeast and selenium‐enriched tea by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) on (Se‐Au)/GC electrode, respectively.  相似文献

A carbon paste electrode was modified with 2‐(4‐Oxo‐3‐phenyl‐3,4‐dihydroquinazolinyl)‐N′‐phenyl‐hydrazinecarbothioamide, magnetic core? shell Fe3O4@SiO2/MWCNT nanocomposite and ionic liquid (n‐hexyl‐3‐methylimidazolium hexafluoro phosphate). The electro‐oxidation of hydrazine at the surface of the modified electrode was studied using electrochemical approaches. This modified electrode offers a considerable improvement in voltammetric sensitivity toward hydrazine, compared to the bare electrode. Square wave voltammetry (SWV) exhibits a linear dynamic range from 7.0×10?8 to 5.0×10?4 M and a detection limit of 40.0 nM for hydrazine. The diffusion coefficient and kinetic parameters (such as electron transfer coefficient and the heterogeneous rate constant) for hydrazine oxidation were also determined. The prepared modified electrode exhibits a very good resolution between the voltammetric peaks of hydrazine and phenol that makes it suitable for the detection of hydrazine in the presence of phenol in real samples.  相似文献

Solid-phase nanoextraction is a sample preparation technique, which combines nanotechnology with analytical chemistry, and brings analytical chemistry to a higher level, particularly for complex system analysis. This paper describes a typical example of electrochemical solid-phase nanoextraction and electrochemical detection. Trace amounts of copper (5.0?×?10?13?mol/L) were extracted by electrochemical solid-phase nanoextraction on to the magnesium oxinate nanoparticle-modified carbon paste electrode surface in a pH?7.2 phosphate buffer system at ?0.50 V for 100 s. The extraction is achieved by the cation exchange between copper(II) in the aqueous solution and magnesium(II) from the magnesium oxinate nanoparticles on the electrode surface. The extracted copper shows an irreversible anodic peak at about 0.2 V (vs. saturated calomel electrode). The peak current is proportional to the scan rate, which shows this to be a surface-controlled process. The oxidation peak current is proportional to the logarithm of the copper concentration in the range 5.0?×?10?13?~?5.0?×?10?7?M with a slope of 2.215. This powerful method uses the carbon paste electrode to combine extraction with electrochemical analysis.  相似文献

The electrochemical properties of hydrazine studied at the surface of a carbon paste electrode spiked with p‐bromanil (tetrabromo‐p‐benzoquinone) using cyclic voltammetry (CV), double potential‐step chronoamperometry and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) in aqueous media. The results show this quinone derivative modified carbon paste electrode, can catalyze the hydrazine oxidation in an aqueous buffered solution. It has been found that under the optimum conditions (pH 10.00), the oxidation of hydrazine at the surface of this carbon paste modified electrode occurs at a potential of about 550 mV less positive than that of a bar carbon paste electrode. The electrocatalytic oxidation peak current of hydrazine showed a linear dependent on the hydrazine concentrations and linear analytical curves were obtained in the ranges of 6.00×10?5 M–8.00×10?3 M and 7.00×10?6 M–8.00×10?4 M of hydrazine concentration with CV and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods, respectively. The detection limits (3σ) were determined as 3.6×10?5 M and 5.2×10?6 M by CV and DPV methods. This method was also used for the determination of hydrazine in the real sample (waste water of the Mazandaran wood and paper factory) by standard addition method.  相似文献

The electrochemical reduction of carbamazepine in acetonitrile (ACN) and dimethylformamide (DMF) using a glassy carbon electrode and microelectrodes has been studied. The reduction process is consistent with an electrochemical‐chemical mechanism (EC) involving a two electron transfer followed by a first order reaction, as shown by the cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). Half‐wave potential, number of electron transferred, diffusion coefficient and rate constant of the associated chemical reaction are reported. Limits of detection (LOD) for DPV are 0.92 and 0.76 µg mL?1 (3.89×10?6 mol L?1 and 3.21×10?6 mol L?1) in ACN and DMF, respectively. Precision (%RSD) and recovery (%) values when pharmaceutical compounds (200mg carbamazepine tablets) and spiked plasma samples were tested ranged from 1.09 to 9.04 % and % recoveries ranged from 96 to 104.1 %.  相似文献

We have prepared a kind of molecularly imprinted nano-porous sensing film for the adsorption of melamine. It consists of a graphite electrode impregnated with paraffin and modified with melamine, chitosan, silver nanoparticles and polyquercetin by employing an electrochemical method. The film displays excellent and highly selective sorption of melamine in the 3-dimensional porous nanomaterial, and this was applied to the determination of melamine in dairy products. The electrode responds linearly to melamine in the concentration range of 1?×?10?8 to 9?×?10?7?M, with a detection limit of 1.3?×?10?9?M (at 3??) in real samples, and with recoveries in the range of 99 to 102%. The surface structure and composition of the sensor was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, and electrochemical techniques. The interaction between the porous film and melamine was also studied by using hexacyanoferrate (III) as an electrochemical indicator.
