A dinuclear ruthenium complex [RuII(NCNHC O)(pic)2]22+ ( 2 ) was firstly prepared and characterized spectroscopically and electrochemically. Instead of the conventional ligand exchange, complex 2 dissociates in situ to afford two single‐site Ru aqua complexes, [RuII(OH2)(NCNHC O)(pic)2]+, which mediates water oxidation through proton‐coupled electron transfer events. In electrokinetic studies, complex 2 demonstrated a TOF of 150.3 s−1 comparable to those state‐of‐the‐art catalysts at neutral conditions. TONs of 2173 and 217 were attained in chemical and photochemical water oxidation when 2 was used as a catalyst, exhibiting good stability. Notably, a TOF of 1.3 s−1 was achieved at CAN‐driven water oxidation, which outperformed most of the reported single‐site Ru complexes, indicating that complex 2 is one of most active water oxidation catalysts (WOCs) to date. The unique coordination configuration and outstanding catalytic performance of complex 2 might shed light on the design of novel molecular WOCs.  相似文献

Abstract

The substitution behavior of the [RuII(terpy)(ampy)Cl]Cl (terpy = 2,2′:6′,2′′-terpyridine, ampy = 2-(aminomethyl)pyridine) complex in water with several bio-relevant ligands such as chloride, thiourea and N,N′-dimethylthiourea, was investigated and compared with the reactivity of the [RuII(terpy)(bipy)Cl]Cl and [RuII(terpy)(en)Cl]Cl (bipy =2,2′-bipyridine and en?=?ethylenediamine) complexes. Earlier results have shown that the reactivity and pKa values of Ru(II) complexes can be tuned by a systematic variation of electronic effects provided by bidentate spectator chelates. The reactivity of both the chlorido and aqua derivatives of the studied Ru(II) complexes increases in the order [RuII(terpy)(bipy)X]+/2+?<?[RuII(terpy)(ampy)X]+/2+?<?[RuII(terpy)(en)X]+/2+. This finding can be accounted for in terms of π back-bonding effects provided by the pyridine ligands. The activation parameters for all the studied reactions support an associative interchange substitution mechanism.  相似文献

The mechanism of [{RuCl2(p‐cymene)}2]‐catalyzed oxidative annulations of isoquinolones with alkynes was investigated in detail. The first step is an acetate‐assisted C? H bond activation process to form cyclometalated compounds. Subsequent mono‐alkyne insertion of the Ru? C bonds of the cyclometalated compounds then takes place. Finally, oxidative coupling of the C? N bond of the insertion compounds occurs to afford Ru0 sandwich complexes that undergo oxidation to regenerate the catalytically active RuII complex with the copper oxidant and release the desired dibenzo[a,g]quinolizin‐8‐one derivatives. All of the relevant intermediates were fully characterized and determined by single crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. The [{RuCl2(p‐cymene)}2]‐catalyzed C? H bond functionalization of isoquinolones with alkynes to synthesize dibenzo[a,g]quinolizin‐8‐one derivatives through C? H/N? H activation was also demonstrated.  相似文献

Hereby we present the synthesis of several ruthenium(II) and ruthenium(III) dithiocarbamato complexes. Proceeding from the Na[trans‐RuIII(dmso)2Cl4] ( 2 ) and cis‐[RuII(dmso)4Cl2] ( 3 ) precursors, the diamagnetic, mixed‐ligand [RuIIL2(dmso)2] complexes 4 and 5 , the paramagnetic, neutral [RuIIIL3] monomers 6 and 7 , the antiferromagnetically coupled ionic α‐[RuIII2L5]Cl complexes 8 and 9 as well as the β‐[RuIII2L5]Cl dinuclear species 10 and 11 (L=dimethyl‐ (DMDT) and pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate (PDT)) were obtained. All the compounds were fully characterised by elemental analysis as well as 1H NMR and FTIR spectroscopy. Moreover, for the first time the crystal structures of the dinuclear β‐[RuIII2(dmdt)5]BF4 ? CHCl3 ? CH3CN and of the novel [RuIIL2(dmso)2] complexes were also determined and discussed. For both the mono‐ and dinuclear RuII and RuIII complexes the central metal atoms assume a distorted octahedral geometry. Furthermore, in vitro cytotoxicity of the complexes has been evaluated on non‐small‐cell lung cancer (NSCLC) NCI‐H1975 cells. All the mono‐ and dinuclear RuIII dithiocarbamato compounds (i.e., complexes 6 – 10 ) show interesting cytotoxic activity, up to one order of magnitude higher with respect to cisplatin. Otherwise, no significant antiproliferative effect for either the precursors 2 and 3 or the RuII complexes 4 and 5 has been observed.  相似文献

Ruthenium(II) π‐coordination onto [28]hexaphyrins(1.1.1.1.1.1) has been accomplished. Reactions of bis‐AuIII and mono‐AuIII complexes of hexakis(pentafluorophenyl) [28]hexaphyrin with [RuCl2(p‐cymene)]2 in the presence of NaOAc gave the corresponding π‐ruthenium complexes, in which the [(p‐cymene)Ru]II fragment sat on the deprotonated side pyrrole. A similar reaction of the bis‐PdII [26]hexaphyrin complex afforded a triple‐decker complex, in which the two [(p‐cymene)Ru]II fragments sat on both sides of the center of the [26]hexaphyrin framework.  相似文献

A Contribution to Rhenium(II)‐, Osmium(II)‐, and Technetium(II)‐Thionitrosyl‐Complexes: Preparation, Structures, and EPR‐Spectra The reaction of [ReVINCl4] and [OsVINCl4] with S2Cl2 leads to the formation of the thionitrosyl complexes [MII(NS)Cl4] (M = Re, Os) which could not be isolated as pure compounds. Addition of pyridine to the reaction mixture results in the formation of the stable compounds trans‐(Ph4P)[OsII(NS)Cl4py], trans‐(Hpy)[OsII(NS)Cl4py], trans‐(Ph4P)[ReII(NS)Cl4py], and cis‐(Ph4P)[ReII(NS)Cl4py]. The crystal structure analyses show for trans‐(Ph4P)[OsII(NS)Cl4py] (monoclinic, P21/n, a = 12.430(3)Å, b = 18.320(4)Å, c = 15.000(3)Å, β = 114.20(3)°, Z = 4), trans‐(Hpy)[OsII(NS)Cl4py] (monoclinic, P21/n, a = 7.689(1)Å, b = 10.202(2)Å, c = 20.485(5)Å, β = 92.878(4)°, Z = 4), trans‐(Ph4P)[ReII(NS)Cl4py] (triclinic, P1¯, a = 9.331(5)Å, b = 12.068(5)Å, c = 15.411(5)Å, α = 105.25(1)°, β = 90.23(1)°, γ = 91.62(1)°, Z = 2), and cis‐(Ph4P)[ReII(NS)Cl4py] (monoclinic, P21/c, a = 10.361(1)Å, b = 16.091(2)Å, c = 17.835(2)Å, β = 90.524(2)°, Z = 4) M‐N‐S angles in the range 168‐175°. This indicates a nearly linear coordination of the NS ligand. The metal atom is octahedrally coordinated in all cases. The rhenium(II) thionitrosyl complexes (5d5 “low‐spin” configuration, S = 1/2) are studied by EPR in the temperature range 295 > T > 130 K. In addition to the detection of the complexes formed during the reaction of [ReVINCl4] with S2Cl2 EPR investigations on diamagnetically diluted powders and single crystals of the system (Ph4P)[ReII/OsII(NS)Cl4py] are reported. The 185, 187Re hyperfine parameters are used to get information about the spin‐density distribution of the unpaired electron in the complexes under study. [TcVINCl4] reacts with S2Cl2 under formation of [TcII(NS)Cl4] which is not stable and decomposes under S8 elimination and rebuilding of [TcVINCl4] as found by EPR monitoring of the reaction.  相似文献

A series of RuII polypyridyl complexes of the structural design [RuII(R?tpy)(NN)(CH3CN)]2+ (R?tpy=2,2′:6′,2′′‐terpyridine (R=H) or 4,4′,4′′‐tri‐tert‐butyl‐2,2′:6′,2′′‐terpyridine (R=tBu); NN=2,2′‐bipyridine with methyl substituents in various positions) have been synthesized and analyzed for their ability to function as electrocatalysts for the reduction of CO2 to CO. Detailed electrochemical analyses establish how substitutions at different ring positions of the bipyridine and terpyridine ligands can have profound electronic and, even more importantly, steric effects that determine the complexes’ reactivities. Whereas electron‐donating groups para to the heteroatoms exhibit the expected electronic effect, with an increase in turnover frequencies at increased overpotential, the introduction of a methyl group at the ortho position of NN imposes drastic steric effects. Two complexes, [RuII(tpy)(6‐mbpy)(CH3CN)]2+ (trans‐[ 3 ]2+; 6‐mbpy=6‐methyl‐2,2′‐bipyridine) and [RuII(tBu?tpy)(6‐mbpy)(CH3CN)]2+ (trans‐[ 4 ]2+), in which the methyl group of the 6‐mbpy ligand is trans to the CH3CN ligand, show electrocatalytic CO2 reduction at a previously unreactive oxidation state of the complex. This low overpotential pathway follows an ECE mechanism (electron transfer–chemical reaction–electron transfer), and is a direct result of steric interactions that facilitate CH3CN ligand dissociation, CO2 coordination, and ultimately catalytic turnover at the first reduction potential of the complexes. All experimental observations are rigorously corroborated by DFT calculations.  相似文献

Aromatic ketones are enantioseletively hydrogenated in alcohols containing [RuX{(S,S)‐Tsdpen}(η6p‐cymene)] (Tsdpen=TsNCH(C6H5)CH(C6H5)NH2; X=TfO, Cl) as precatalysts. The corresponding Ru hydride (X=H) acts as a reducing species. The solution structures and complete spectral assignment of these complexes have been determined using 2D NMR (1H‐1H DQF‐COSY, 1H‐13C HMQC, 1H‐15N HSQC, and 1H‐19F HOESY). Depending on the nature of the solvents and conditions, the precatalysts exist as a covalently bound complex, tight ion pair of [Ru+(Tsdpen)(cymene)] and X?, solvent‐separated ion pair, or discrete free ions. Solvent effects on the NH2 chemical shifts of the Ru complexes and the hydrodynamic radius and volume of the Ru+ and TfO? ions elucidate the process of precatalyst activation for hydrogenation. Most notably, the Ru triflate possessing a high ionizability, substantiated by cyclic voltammetry, exists in alcoholic solvents largely as a solvent‐separated ion pair and/or free ions. Accordingly, its diffusion‐derived data in CD3OD reflect the independent motion of [Ru+(Tsdpen)(cymene)] and TfO?. In CDCl3, the complex largely retains the covalent structure showing similar diffusion data for the cation and anion. The Ru triflate and chloride show similar but distinct solution behavior in various solvents. Conductivity measurements and catalytic behavior demonstrate that both complexes ionize in CH3OH to generate a common [Ru+(Tsdpen)(cymene)] and X?, although the extent is significantly greater for X=TfO?. The activation of [RuX(Tsdpen)(cymene)] during catalytic hydrogenation in alcoholic solvent occurs by simple ionization to generate [Ru+(Tsdpen)(cymene)]. The catalytic activity is thus significantly influenced by the reaction conditions.  相似文献

Stoichiometric reduction of Os3CO)12 and Ru3(CO)12 with K and Ca, respectively; yields the two new cluster dianions [Os3(CO)11]2? and [Ru3(CO)11]2? which have been isolated and characterized. Temperature-dependent 13C NMR spectra for [Os3(CO)11]2? and infrared spectra of [Os3(CO)11]2? and [Ru3(CO)11]2? suggest a similar structure for these dianions in which there is a single edge-bridging carbonyl.  相似文献

A series of [{(terpy)(bpy)Ru}(μ‐O){Ru(bpy)(terpy)}]n+ ( [RuORu]n+ , terpy=2,2′;6′,2′′‐terpyridine, bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine) was systematically synthesized and characterized in three distinct redox states (n=3, 4, and 5 for RuII,III2 , RuIII,III2 , and RuIII,IV2 , respectively). The crystal structures of [RuORu]n+ (n=3, 4, 5) in all three redox states were successfully determined. X‐ray crystallography showed that the Ru? O distances and the Ru‐O‐Ru angles are mainly regulated by the oxidation states of the ruthenium centers. X‐ray crystallography and ESR spectra clearly revealed the detailed electronic structures of two mixed‐valence complexes, [RuIIIORuIV]5+ and [RuIIORuIII]3+ , in which each unpaired electron is completely delocalized across the oxo‐bridged dinuclear core. These findings allow us to understand the systematic changes in structure and electronic state that accompany the changes in the redox state.  相似文献

2,6‐Bis(1,2,3‐triazol‐4‐yl)pyridine (btp) ligands with substitution patterns ranging from strongly electron‐donating to strongly electron‐accepting groups, readily prepared by means of Cu‐catalyzed 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition (the “click” reaction), were investigated with regard to their complexation behavior, and the properties of the resulting transition‐metal compounds were compared. Metal–btp complexes of 1:1 stoichiometry, that is, [Ru(btp)Cl2(dmso)] and [Zn(btp)Br2], could be isolated and were crystallographically characterized: they display octahedral and trigonal‐bipyramidal coordination geometries, respectively, and exhibit high aggregation tendencies due to efficient π–π stacking leading to low solubilities. Metal–btp complexes of 1:2 stoichiometry, that is, [Fe(btp)2]2+ and [Ru(btp)2]2+, could also be synthesized and their metal centers show the expected octahedral coordination spheres. The iron compounds exhibit quite a complex magnetic behavior in the solid state including spin crossover near room temperature, and hysteresis and locking into high‐spin states on tempering at 400 K, depending on the substituents on the btp ligands. Cyclic voltammetry studies of [Ru(btp)2]2+ reveal strong modulation of the oxidation potentials by more than 0.6 V and a clear linear correlation to the Hammett constant (σpara) of the substituent at the pyridine core. Isothermal titration calorimetry was used to measure the thermodynamics of the FeII–btp complexation process and enabled accurate determination of the complexation enthalpies, which display a linear relationship with the σpara values for the terminal phenyl substituents. Detailed NMR spectroscopic studies finally revealed that in the case of FeII complexation, dynamics are rapid for all investigated btp derivatives in acetonitrile, while replacing FeII by RuII or changing the solvent to dichloromethane effectively slows down ligand exchange. The results nicely demonstrate the utility of substituent parameters, originally developed for linear free‐energy relationships to explain reactivity in organic reactions, in coordination chemistry, and to illustrate the potential to custom‐design btp ligands and complexes thereof with predictable properties. The fast equilibration of the [Fe(btp)2]2+ complexes together with their tunable stability and interesting magnetic properties should enable the design of dynamic metallosupramolecular materials with advantageous properties.  相似文献

The complete sequence of reactions in the base‐promoted reduction of [{RuII(CO)3Cl2}2] to [RuI2(CO)4]2+ has been unraveled. Several μ‐OH, μ:κ2‐CO2H‐bridged diruthenium(II) complexes have been synthesized; they are the direct results of the nucleophilic activation of metal‐coordinated carbonyls by hydroxides. The isolated compounds are [Ru2(CO)4(μ:κ2C,O‐CO2H)2(μ‐OH)(NPF‐Am)2][PF6] ( 1 ; NPF‐Am=2‐amino‐5,7‐trifluoromethyl‐1,8‐naphthyridine) and [Ru2(CO)4(μ:κ2C,O‐CO2H)(μ‐OH)(NP‐Me2)2][BF4]2 ( 2 ), secured by the applications of naphthyridine derivatives. In the absence of any capping ligand, a tetranuclear complex [Ru4(CO)8(H2O)23‐OH)2(μ:κ2C,O‐CO2H)4][CF3SO3]2 ( 3 ) is isolated. The bridging hydroxido ligand in 1 is readily replaced by a π‐donor chlorido ligand, which results in [Ru2(CO)4(μ:κ2C,O‐CO2H)2(μ‐Cl)(NP‐PhOMe)2][BF4] ( 4 ). The production of [Ru2(CO)4]2+ has been attributed to the thermally induced decarboxylation of a bis(hydroxycarbonyl)–diruthenium(II) complex to a dihydrido–diruthenium(II) species, followed by dinuclear reductive elimination of molecular hydrogen with the concomitant formation of the RuI? RuI single bond. This work was originally instituted to find a reliable synthetic protocol for the [Ru2(CO)4(CH3CN)6]2+ precursor. It is herein prescribed that at least four equivalents of base, complete removal of chlorido ligands by TlI salts, and heating at reflux in acetonitrile for a period of four hours are the conditions for the optimal conversion. Premature quenching of the reaction resulted in the isolation of a trinuclear RuI2RuII complex [{Ru(NP‐Am)2(CO)}{Ru2(NP‐Am)2(CO)2(μ‐CO)2}(μ33C,O,O′‐CO2)][BF4]2 ( 6 ). These unprecedented diruthenium compounds are the dinuclear congeners of the water–gas shift (WGS) intermediates. The possibility of a dinuclear pathway eliminates the inherent contradiction of pH demands in the WGS catalytic cycle in an alkaline medium. A cooperative binuclear elimination could be a viable route for hydrogen production in WGS chemistry.  相似文献

The complex cis‐[RuIII(dmbpy)2Cl2](PF6) ( 2 ) (dmbpy = 4, 4′‐dimethyl‐2, 2′‐bipyridine) was obtained from the reaction of cis‐[RuII(dmbpy)2Cl2] ( 1 ) with ammonium cerium(IV) nitrate followed by precipitation with saturated ammonium hexafluoridophosphate. The 1H NMR spectrum of the RuIII complex confirms the presence of paramagnetic metal atoms, whereas that of the RuII complex displays diamagnetism. The 31P NMR spectrum of the RuIII complex shows one signal for the phosphorus atom of the PF6 ion. The perspective view of each [RuII/III(dmbpy)2Cl2]0/+ unit manifests that the ruthenium atom is in hexacoordinate arrangement with two dmbpy ligands and two chlorido ligands in cis position. As the oxidation state of the central ruthenium metal atom becomes higher, the average Ru–Cl bond length decreases whereas the Ru–N (dmbpy) bond length increases. The cis‐positioned dichloro angle in RuIII is 1.3° wider than that in the RuII. The dihedral angles between pair of planar six‐membered pyridyl ring in the dmbpy ligand for the RuII are 4.7(5)° and 5.7(4)°. The observed inter‐planar angle between two dmbpy ligands in the RuII is 89.08(15)°, whereas the value for the RuIII is 85.46(20)°.  相似文献

The clectrochemical behaviour of the complexes [RuII(L)(CO)2Cl2], [RuII(L)(CO)Cl3][Me4N] and [RuII(L)(CO)2(CH3CN)2][CF3SO3]2 (L = 2,2′-bipyridine or 4,4′-isopropoxycarbonyl-2,2′-bipyridine) has been investigated in CH3CN. The oxidation of [Ru(L)(CO)2Cl2] produces new complexes [RuIII(L)(CO)(CH3CN)2Cl]2+ as a consequence of the instability of the electrogenerated transient RuIII species [RuIII(L)(CO)2Cl2]+. In contrast, the oxidation of [RuII(L)(CO)Cl3][Me4N] produces the stable [RuIII(L)(CO)Cl3] complex. In contrast [RuII(L)(CO)2(CH3CN)2][CF3SO3]2 is not oxidized in the range up to the most positive potentials achievable. The reduction of [RuII(L)(CO)2Cl2] and [RuII(L)(CO)2(CH3CN)2][CF3SO3]2 results in the formation of identical dark blue strongly adherent electroactive films. These films exhibit the characteristics of a metal-metal bond dimer structure. No films are obtained on reduction of [RuII(L)(CO)Cl3][Me4N]. The effect of the substitution of the bipyridine ligand by electron-withdrawing carboxy ester groups on the electrochemical behaviour of all these complexes has also been investigated.  相似文献

RuII‐ and RuIII‐substituted α‐Keggin‐type phosphotungstates with a dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) ligand, [PW11O39RuIIDMSO]5– ( 1 ) and [PW11O39RuIIIDMSO]4– ( 2 ), were synthesized. Compound 1 was prepared by reaction of [PW11O39]7– with [RuII(DMSO)4]Cl2 in water at 125 °C under hydrothermal conditions and was isolated as a cesium salt. Compound 2 was prepared by reaction of 1 with bromine in water at 60 °C and was isolated as a cesium salt. The compounds were characterized by cyclic voltammetry, elemental analysis, UV/Vis, IR,31P NMR, 183W NMR, 1H NMR, and XANES (Ru K‐edge and L3‐edge)spectroscopic methods. Single crystal structural analysis of 1 revealed that RuII is incorporated in the α‐Keggin framework and coordinated by DMSO through a Ru–S bond. Cyclic voltammetry of 1 indicated that the incorporated RuII‐DMSO is reversibly oxidizable to the RuIII‐DMSO derivative 2 . Compound 1 showed catalytic activity for water oxidation in the presence of cerium ammonium nitrate as an oxidant.  相似文献

Direct use of low pressures of CO2 as a C1 source without concentration from gas mixtures is of great interest from an energy‐saving viewpoint. Porous heterogeneous catalysts containing both adsorption and catalytically active sites are promising candidates for such applications. Here, we report a porous coordination polymer (PCP)‐based catalyst, PCP‐RuII composite, bearing a RuII‐CO complex active for CO2 reduction. The PCP‐RuII composite showed improved CO2 adsorption behavior at ambient temperature. In the photochemical reduction of CO2 the PCP‐RuII composite produced CO, HCOOH, and H2. Catalytic activity was comparable with the corresponding homogeneous RuII catalyst and ranks among the highest of known PCP‐based catalysts. Furthermore, catalytic activity was maintained even under a 5 % CO2/Ar gas mixture, revealing a synergistic effect between the adsorption and catalytically active sites within the PCP‐RuII composite.  相似文献

The compound [2‐(aminomethyl)pyridine‐κ2N,N′][chlorido/trifluoromethanesulfonato(0.91/0.09)][(10,11‐η)‐5H‐dibenzo[a,d]cyclohepten‐5‐amine‐κN](triphenylphosphane‐κP)ruthenium(II) trifluoromethanesulfonate dichloromethane 0.91‐solvate, [Ru(CF3SO3)0.09Cl0.91(C6H8N2)(C15H13N)(C18H15P)]CF3SO3·0.91CH2Cl2, belongs to a series of RuII complexes that had been tested for transfer hydrogenation, hydrogenation of polar bonds and catalytic transfer hydrogenation. The crystal structure determination of this complex revealed disorder in the form of two different anionic ligands sharing the same coordination site, which other spectroscopic methods failed to characterize. The reduced catalytic activity of the title compound was not fully understood until the crystallographic data provided evidence for the mixed ligand species. The crystal structure clearly shows that the majority of the synthesized material has a chloride ligand present. Only a small portion of the material is the expected complex [RuII(OTf)(ampy)(η2‐tropNH2)(PPh3)]OTf, where OTf is triflate or trifluoromethanesulfonate, ampy is 2‐(aminomethyl)pyridine and tropNH2 is 5H‐dibenzo[a,d]cyclohepten‐5‐amine.  相似文献

The thermal and photochemical reactions of a newly synthesized complex, [RuII(TPA)(tpphz)]2+ ( 1 ; TPA=tris(2‐pyridylmethyl)amine, tpphz=tetrapyrido[3,2‐a:2′,3′‐c:3′′,2′′‐h: 2′′′,3′′′‐j]phenazine), and its derivatives have been investigated. Heating a solution of complex 1 (closed form) and its derivatives in MeCN caused the partial dissociation of one pyridylmethyl moiety of the TPA ligand and the resulting vacant site on the RuII center was occupied by a molecule of MeCN from the solvent to give a dissociated complex, [RuII3‐TPA)(tpphz)(MeCN)]2+ ( 1′ , open form), and its derivatives, respectively, in quantitative yields. The thermal dissociation reactions were investigated on the basis of kinetics analysis, which indicated that the reactions proceeded through a seven‐coordinate transition state. Although the backwards reaction was induced by photoirradiation of the MLCT absorption bands, the photoreaction of complex 1′ reached a photostationary state between complexes 1 and 1′ and, hence, the recovery of complex 1 from complex 1′ was 67 %. Upon protonation of complex 1 at the vacant site of the tpphz ligand, the efficiency of the photoinduced recovery of complex 1 +H+ from complex 1′ +H+ improved to 83 %. In contrast, dinuclear μ‐tpphz complexes 2 and 3 , which contained the RuII(TPA)(tpphz) unit and either a RuII(bpy)2 or PdIICl2 moiety on the other coordination edge of the tpphz ligand, exhibited 100 % photoconversion from their open forms into their closed forms ( 2′ → 2 and 3′ → 3 ). These results are the first examples of the complete photochromic structural change of a transition‐metal complex, as represented by complete interconversion between its open and closed forms. Scrutinization by performing optical and electrochemical measurements allowed us to propose a rationale for how metal coordination at the vacant site of the tpphz ligand improves the efficiency of photoconversion from the open form into the closed form. It is essential to lower the energy level of the triplet metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer excited state (3MLCT*) of the closed form relative to that of the triplet metal‐centered excited state (3MC*) by metal coordination. This energy‐level manipulation hinders the transition from the 3MLCT* state into the 3MC* state in the closed form to block the partial photodissociation of the TPA ligand.  相似文献

Herein, a catalytic chemosensing assay (CCA), based on a bimetallic complex, [RuII(bpy)2(CN)2]2(CuII)2 (bpy=2,2′-bipyridine), is described. This complex integrates a task-specific catalyst (CuI-catalyst) and a signaling unit ([RuII(bpy)2(CN)2]) to specifically hydrolyze methyl parathion, a highly toxic organophosphate (OP) pesticide. The bimetallic complex catalyzed the hydrolysis of the phosphate ester to generate o,o-dimethyl thiophosphate (DTP) anion and 4-nitrophenolate. Intrinsically, 4-nitrophenolate absorbed UV/Vis light at λmax=400 nm, creating the first level of the chemosensing signal. DTP interacted with the original complex to displace the chromophore, [RuII(bpy)2(CN)2], which was monitored by spectrofluorometry; this was classified as the second level of chemosensing signal. By integrating both spectroscopic and spectrofluorometric signals with a simple AND logic gate, only methyl parathion was able to provide a positive response. Other aromatic and aliphatic OP pesticides (diazinon, fenthion, meviphos, terbufos, and phosalone) and 4-nitrophenyl acetate provided negative responses. Furthermore, owing to the metal-catalyzed hydrolysis of methyl parathion, the CCA system led to the detoxification of the pesticide. The CCA system also demonstrated its catalytic chemosensing properties in the detection of methyl parathion in real samples, including tap water, river water, and underground water.  相似文献

DFT calculations are performed on [RuII(bpy)2(tmen)]2+ ( M1 , tmen=2,3‐dimethyl‐2,3‐butanediamine) and [RuII(bpy)2(heda)]2+ ( M2 , heda=2,5‐dimethyl‐2,5‐hexanediamine), and on the oxidation reactions of M1 to give the C?C bond cleavage product [RuII(bpy)2(NH=CMe2)2]2+ ( M3 ) and the N?O bond formation product [RuII(bpy)2(ONCMe2CMe2NO)]2+ ( M4 ). The calculated geometrical parameters and oxidation potentials are in good agreement with the experimental data. As revealed by the DFT calculations, [RuII(bpy)2(tmen)]2+ ( M1 ) can undergo oxidative deprotonation to generate Ru‐bis(imide) [Ru(bpy)2(tmen‐4 H)]+ ( A ) or Ru‐imide/amide [Ru(bpy)2(tmen‐3 H)]2+ ( A′ ) intermediates. Both A and A′ are prone to C?C bond cleavage, with low reaction barriers (ΔG) of 6.8 and 2.9 kcal mol?1 for their doublet spin states 2 A and 2 A′ , respectively. The calculated reaction barrier for the nucleophilic attack of water molecules on 2 A′ is relatively high (14.2 kcal mol?1). These calculation results are in agreement with the formation of the RuII‐bis(imine) complex M3 from the electrochemical oxidation of M1 in aqueous solution. The oxidation of M1 with CeIV in aqueous solution to afford the RuII‐dinitrosoalkane complex M4 is proposed to proceed by attack of the cerium oxidant on the ruthenium imide intermediate. The findings of ESI‐MS experiments are consistent with the generation of a ruthenium imide intermediate in the course of the oxidation.  相似文献
