This paper presents numerical solutions for the space‐ and time‐fractional Korteweg–de Vries equation (KdV for short) using the variational iteration method. The space‐ and time‐fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. In this method, general Lagrange multipliers are introduced to construct correction functionals for the problems. The multipliers in the functionals can be identified optimally via variational theory. The iteration method, which produces the solutions in terms of convergent series with easily computable components, requiring no linearization or small perturbation. The numerical results show that the approach is easy to implement and accurate when applied to space‐ and time‐fractional KdV equations. The method introduces a promising tool for solving many space–time fractional partial differential equations. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq 2007  相似文献

An efficient method for nonlinear fractional differential equations is proposed in this paper. This method consists of 2 steps. First, we linearize the nonlinear operator equation by quasi‐Newton's method, which is based on Fréchet derivative. Then we solve the linear fractional differential equations by the simplified reproducing kernel method. The convergence of the quasi‐Newton's method is discussed for the general nonlinear case as well. Finally, some numerical examples are presented to illustrate accuracy, efficiency, and simplicity of the method.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a supersymmetric AKNS spectral problem. Two elementary and a binary Darboux transformations are constructed. By means of reductions, Darboux and Bäcklund transformations are given for the supersymmetric modified Korteweg‐de Vries, sinh‐Gordon, and nonlinear Schrödinger equations. These Darboux and Bäcklund transformations are adopted for the constructions of integrable discrete super systems, and both semidiscrete and fully discrete systems are presented. Also, the continuum limits of the relevant discrete systems are worked out.  相似文献

The current article devoted on the new method for finding the exact solutions of some time‐fractional Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) type equations appearing in shallow water waves. We employ the new method here for time‐fractional equations viz. time‐fractional KdV‐Burgers and KdV‐mKdV equations for finding the exact solutions. We use here the fractional complex transform accompanied by properties of local fractional calculus for reduction of fractional partial differential equations to ordinary differential equations. The obtained results are demonstrated by graphs for the new solutions. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, the Bäcklund transformation of fractional Riccati equation is presented to establish traveling wave solutions for two nonlinear space–time fractional differential equations in the sense of modified Riemann–Liouville derivatives, namely, the space–time fractional generalized reaction duffing equation and the space–time fractional diffusion reaction equation with cubic nonlinearity. The proposed method is effective and convenient for solving nonlinear evolution equations with fractional order. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this article, numerical study for both nonlinear space‐fractional Schrödinger equation and the coupled nonlinear space‐fractional Schrödinger system is presented. We offer here the weighted average nonstandard finite difference method (WANSFDM) as a novel numerical technique to study such kinds of partial differential equations. The space fractional derivative is described in the sense of the quantum Riesz‐Feller definition. Stability analysis of the proposed method is studied. To show that this method is reliable and computationally efficient different numerical examples are provided. We expect that the proposed schemes can be applicable to different systems of fractional partial differential equations. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper, the ‐expansion method is proposed to establish hyperbolic and trigonometric function solutions for fractional differential‐difference equations with the modified Riemann–Liouville derivative. The fractional complex transform is proposed to convert a fractional partial differential‐difference equation into its differential‐difference equation of integer order. We obtain the hyperbolic and periodic function solutions of the nonlinear time‐fractional Toda lattice equations and relativistic Toda lattice system. The proposed method is more effective and powerful for obtaining exact solutions for nonlinear fractional differential–difference equations and systems. In this article, the sub‐equation method is presented for finding the exact solutions of a nonlinear fractional partial differential equations. For this, the fractional complex transformation method has been used to convert fractional‐order partial differential equation to ordinary differential equation. The fractional derivatives are described in Jumarie's the modified Riemann–Liouville sense. We apply to this method for the nonlinear time fractional differential equations. With the aid of symbolic computation, a variety of exact solutions for them are obtained. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, nonlocal reductions of the Ablowitz–Kaup–Newell–Suger (AKNS) hierarchy are collected, including the nonlocal nonlinear Schrödinger hierarchy, nonlocal modified Korteweg‐de Vries hierarchy, and nonlocal versions of the sine‐Gordon equation in nonpotential form. A reduction technique for solutions is employed, by which exact solutions in double Wronskian form are obtained for these reduced equations from those double Wronskian solutions of the AKNS hierarchy. As examples of dynamics, we illustrate new interaction of two‐soliton solutions of the reverse‐t nonlinear Schrödinger equation. Although as a single soliton, it is stationary that two solitons travel along completely symmetric trajectories in plane and their amplitudes are affected by phase parameters. Asymptotic analysis is given as demonstration. The approach and relation described in this paper are systematic and general and can be used to other nonlocal equations.  相似文献

In this work, we present numerical analysis for nonlinear multi‐term time fractional differential equation which involve Caputo‐type fractional derivatives for . The proposed method is based on utilization of fractional B‐spline basics in collocation method. The scheme can be readily obtained efficient and quite accurate with less computational work numerical result. The proposal approach transform nonlinear multi‐term time fractional differential equation into a suitable linear system of algebraic equations which can be solved by a suitable numerical method. The numerical experiments will be verify to demonstrate the effectiveness of our method for solving one‐ and two‐dimensional multi‐term time fractional differential equation.  相似文献

In this article, the new exact travelling wave solutions of the nonlinear space‐time fractional Burger's, the nonlinear space‐time fractional Telegraph and the nonlinear space‐time fractional Fisher equations have been found. Based on a nonlinear fractional complex transformation, certain fractional partial differential equations can be turned into ordinary differential equations of integer order in the sense of the Jumarie's modified Riemann–Liouville derivative. The ‐expansion method is effective for constructing solutions to the nonlinear fractional equations, and it appears to be easier and more convenient by means of a symbolic computation system. In this paper, we extend the basic Exp‐function method to nonlinear lattice differential equations for constructing multi‐wave and rational solutions for the first time. We consider a differential‐difference analogue of the Korteweg–de Vries equation to elucidate the solution procedure. Our approach is direct and unifying in the sense that the bilinear formalism of the equation studied becomes redundant. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We will propose a unified algebraic method to construct Jacobi elliptic function solutions to differential–difference equations (DDEs). The solutions to DDEs in terms of Jacobi elliptic functions sn, cn and dn have a unified form and can be presented through solving the associated algebraic equations. To illustrate the effectiveness of this method, we apply the algorithm to some physically significant DDEs, including the discrete hybrid equation, semi‐discrete coupled modified Korteweg–de Vries and the discrete Klein–Gordon equation, thereby generating some new exact travelling periodic solutions to the discrete Klein–Gordon equation. A procedure is also given to determine the polynomial expansion order of Jacobi elliptic function solutions to DDEs. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A systematic investigation to derive Lie point symmetries to time fractional generalized Burgers as well as Korteweg–de Vries equations is presented. Using the obtained Lie point symmetries we have shown that each of them has been transformed into a nonlinear ordinary differential equation of fractional order with a new independent variable. The derivative corresponding to time fractional in the reduced equation is usually known as the Erdélyi–Kober fractional derivative.  相似文献

The fractional derivatives in the sense of Caputo, and the homotopy perturbation method are used to construct approximate solutions for nonlinear Kolmogorov–Petrovskii–Piskunov (KPP) equations with respect to time and space fractional derivatives. Also, we apply complex transformation to convert a time and space fractional nonlinear KPP equation to an ordinary differential equation and use the homotopy perturbation method to calculate the approximate solution. This method is efficient and powerful in solving wide classes of nonlinear evolution fractional order equations.  相似文献

A miscellany of results on the nonlinear instability and dynamics of finite difference discretizations of the Burgers and Kortweg de Vries equations is obtained using a variety of phase-plane, functional analytic, and regularity methods. For the semidiscrete (space-discrete, time-continuous) schemes, large-wave-numer instabilities occurring in special exact solutions are investigated, and parameter values for which the semidiscrete scheme is monotone are considered. For fully discrete schemes (space and time discrete), large-wave-number instabilities introduced by various time-stepping schemes such as forward Euler, leapfrog, and Runge–Kutta schemes are analyzed. Also, a time step restriction for the monotonicity of the forward-Euler time-stepping scheme, and regularity of a 4-stage monotone/conservative Runge–Kutta time stepping are investigated. The techniques used here may be employed, in conjunction with bifurcation-theoretic and weakly nonlinear analyses, to analyze the stability of numerical schemes for other nonlinear partial differential equations of both dissipative and dispersive varieties. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Based on the superconvergent approximation at some point (depending on the fractional order α, but not belonging to the mesh points) for Grünwald discretization to fractional derivative, we develop a series of high‐order quasi‐compact schemes for space fractional diffusion equations. Because of the quasi‐compactness of the derived schemes, no points beyond the domain are used for all the high‐order schemes including second‐order, third‐order, fourth‐order, and even higher‐order schemes; moreover, the algebraic equations for all the high‐order schemes have the completely same matrix structure. The stability and convergence analysis for some typical schemes are made; the techniques of treating the fractional derivatives with nonhomogeneous boundaries are introduced; and extensive numerical experiments are performed to confirm the theoretical analysis or verify the convergence orders. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A novel collocation method based on Genocchi wavelet is presented for the numerical solution of fractional differential equations and time‐fractional partial differential equations with delay. In this work, to achieve the approximate solution with height accuracy, we employed the operational matrix of integer derivative and the pseudo‐operational matrix of fractional derivative in Caputo sense. Also, based on Genocchi function properties, we presented delay and pantograph operational matrices of Genocchi wavelet functions (GWFs). Due to operational and pseudo‐operational matrices, the equations under this study can be turned into nonlinear algebraic equations with the unknown GWF coefficients. For illustrating the upper bound of error for the proposed method, we estimate the error in the sense of Sobolev space. In addition, to demonstrate the efficacy of the pseudo‐operational matrix of fractional derivative, we investigate the upper bound of error for the mentioned matrix. Finally, the algorithm based on the proposed approach is implemented for some numerical experiments to confirm accuracy and applicability.  相似文献

In this article, we apply a high‐order difference scheme for the solution of some time fractional partial differential equations (PDEs). The time fractional Cattaneo equation and the linear time fractional Klein–Gordon and dissipative Klein–Gordon equations will be investigated. The time fractional derivative which has been described in the Caputo's sense is approximated by a scheme of order , and the space derivative is discretized with a fourth‐order compact procedure. We will prove the solvability of the proposed method by coefficient matrix property and the unconditional stability and ‐convergence with the energy method. Numerical examples demonstrate the theoretical results and the high accuracy of the proposed scheme. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq 30: 1234–1253, 2014  相似文献

In this article, we study an explicit scheme for the solution of sine‐Gordon equation when the space discretization is carried out by an overlapping multidomain pseudo‐spectral technique. By using differentiation matrices, the equation is reduced to a nonlinear system of ordinary differential equations in time that can be discretized with the explicit fourth‐order Runge–Kutta method. To achieve approximation with high accuracy in large domains, the number of space grid points must be large enough. This yields very large and full matrices in the pseudo‐spectral method that causes large memory requirements. The domain decomposition approach provides sparsity in the matrices obtained after the discretization, and this property reduces storage for large matrices and provides economical ways of performing matrix–vector multiplications. Therefore, we propose a multidomain pseudo‐spectral method for the numerical simulation of the sine‐Gordon equation in large domains. Test examples are given to demonstrate the accuracy and capability of the proposed method. Numerical experiments show that the multidomain scheme has an excellent long‐time numerical behavior for the sine‐Gordon equation in one and two dimensions.
