A strategy to covalently connect crystalline covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with semiconductors to create stable organic–inorganic Z‐scheme heterojunctions for artificial photosynthesis is presented. A series of COF–semiconductor Z‐scheme photocatalysts combining water‐oxidation semiconductors (TiO2, Bi2WO6, and α‐Fe2O3) with CO2 reduction COFs (COF‐316/318) was synthesized and exhibited high photocatalytic CO2‐to‐CO conversion efficiencies (up to 69.67 μmol g?1 h?1), with H2O as the electron donor in the gas–solid CO2 reduction, without additional photosensitizers and sacrificial agents. This is the first report of covalently bonded COF/inorganic‐semiconductor systems utilizing the Z‐scheme applied for artificial photosynthesis. Experiments and calculations confirmed efficient semiconductor‐to‐COF electron transfer by covalent coupling, resulting in electron accumulation in the cyano/pyridine moieties of the COF for CO2 reduction and holes in the semiconductor for H2O oxidation, thus mimicking natural photosynthesis.  相似文献

A series of stable heterometallic Fe2M cluster‐based MOFs ( NNU‐31‐M , M=Co, Ni, Zn) photocatalysts are presented. They can achieve the overall conversion of CO2 and H2O into HCOOH and O2 without the assistance of additional sacrificial agent and photosensitizer. The heterometallic cluster units and photosensitive ligands excited by visible light generate separated electrons and holes. Then, low‐valent metal M accepts electrons to reduce CO2, and high‐valent Fe uses holes to oxidize H2O. This is the first MOF photocatalyst system to finish artificial photosynthetic full reaction. It is noted that NNU‐31‐Zn exhibits the highest HCOOH yield of 26.3 μmol g?1 h?1 (selectivity of ca. 100 %). Furthermore, the DFT calculations based on crystal structures demonstrate the photocatalytic reaction mechanism. This work proposes a new strategy for how to design crystalline photocatalyst to realize artificial photosynthetic overall reaction.  相似文献

The full reaction photosynthesis of H2O2 that can combine water-oxidation and oxygen-reduction without sacrificial agents is highly demanded to maximize the light-utilization and overcome the complex reaction-process of anthraquinone-oxidation. Here, a kind of oxidation-reduction molecular junction covalent-organic-framework (TTF-BT-COF) has been synthesized through the covalent-coupling of tetrathiafulvalene (photo-oxidation site) and benzothiazole (photo-reduction site), which presents visible-light-adsorption region, effective electron-hole separation-efficiency and photo-redox sites that enables full reaction generation of H2O2. Specifically, a record-high yield (TTF-BT-COF, ≈276 000 μM h−1 g−1) for H2O2 photosynthesis without sacrificial agents has been achieved among porous crystalline photocatalysts. This is the first work that can design oxidation-reduction molecular junction COFs for full reaction photosynthesis of H2O2, which might extend the scope of COFs in H2O2 production.  相似文献

Constructing a powerful photocatalytic system that can achieve the carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction half-reaction and the water (H2O) oxidation half-reaction simultaneously is a very challenging but meaningful task. Herein, a porous material with a crystalline topological network, named viCOF-bpy-Re, was rationally synthesized by incorporating rhenium complexes as reductive sites and triazine ring structures as oxidative sites via robust −C=C− bond linkages. The charge-separation ability of viCOF-bpy-Re is promoted by low polarized π-bridges between rhenium complexes and triazine ring units, and the efficient charge-separation enables the photogenerated electron–hole pairs, followed by an intramolecular charge-transfer process, to form photogenerated electrons involved in CO2 reduction and photogenerated holes that participate in H2O oxidation simultaneously. The viCOF-bpy-Re shows the highest catalytic photocatalytic carbon monoxide (CO) production rate (190.6 μmol g−1 h−1 with about 100 % selectivity) and oxygen (O2) evolution (90.2 μmol g−1 h−1) among all the porous catalysts in CO2 reduction with H2O as sacrificial agents. Therefore, a powerful photocatalytic system was successfully achieved, and this catalytic system exhibited excellent stability in the catalysis process for 50 hours. The structure–function relationship was confirmed by femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy and density functional theory calculations.  相似文献

In this work, 5, 10, 15, 20‐Tetra‐(4‐aminophenyl) porphyrin (TAPP) was used as gelator to prepare metal‐porphyrin porous coordination polymer (PCP) via solvothermal process, Soxhlet extraction and supercritical CO2 extraction. Firstly, the metal‐porphyrin organic gel (MOG) was prepared as intermediate with solvothermal method. The generation of gels is associated with many factors. When four acetates [Co(Ac)2?4H2O, Zn(Ac)2?2H2O, Mn(Ac)2?4H2O and Ni(Ac)2?7H2O] reacted with TAPP, only the reaction between Co(Ac)2?4H2O and TAPP could form desired metal‐porphyrin organic gel. The influences of solvent, concentration and anions were investigated in the gelation process. Secondly, the residual reactants and solvent molecules in MOG were removed through Soxhlet extraction and supercritical CO2 extraction. The Co‐PCP is an amorphous material with a hierarchical porous structure can effectively catalyze the oxidation of ethylbenzene and also exhibits a strong adsorptive capacity for the strong‐polar solvent molecules.  相似文献

The visible-light-driven photoreduction of CO2 to value-added chemicals over metal-free photocatalysts without sacrificial reagents is very interesting, but challenging. Herein, we present amide-bridged conjugated organic polymers (amide-COPs) prepared via self-condensation of amino nitriles in combination with hydrolysis, for the photoreduction of CO2 with H2O without any photosensitizers or sacrificial reagents under visible light irradiation. These catalysts can afford CO as the sole carbonaceous product without H2 generation. Especially, amide-DAMN derived from diaminomaleonitrile exhibited the highest activity for the photoreduction of CO2 to CO with a generation rate of 20.6 μmol g−1 h−1. Experiments and DFT calculations confirmed cyano/amide groups as active sites for CO2 reduction and second amine groups for H2O oxidation, and suggested that superior selectivity towards CO may be attributed to the adjacent redox sites. This work presents a new insight into designing photocatalysts for artificial photosynthesis.

Amino nitrile-derived conjugated organic polymers can realize the photoreduction of CO2 with water to CO without H2 generation efficiently.  相似文献

Although progress has been made to improve photocatalytic CO2 reduction under visible light (λ>400 nm), the development of photocatalysts that can work under a longer wavelength (λ>600 nm) remains a challenge. Now, a heterogeneous photocatalyst system consisting of a ruthenium complex and a monolayer nickel‐alumina layered double hydroxide (NiAl‐LDH), which act as light‐harvesting and catalytic units for selective photoreduction of CO2 and H2O into CH4 and CO under irradiation with λ>400 nm. By precisely tuning the irradiation wavelength, the selectivity of CH4 can be improved to 70.3 %, and the H2 evolution reaction can be completely suppressed under irradiation with λ>600 nm. The photogenerated electrons matching the energy levels of photosensitizer and m‐NiAl‐LDH only localized at the defect state, providing a driving force of 0.313 eV to overcome the Gibbs free energy barrier of CO2 reduction to CH4 (0.127 eV), rather than that for H2 evolution (0.425 eV).  相似文献

Photoconversion of CO2 and H2O into ethanol is an ideal strategy to achieve carbon neutrality. However, the production of ethanol with high activity and selectivity is challenging owing to the less efficient reduction half-reaction involving multi-step proton-coupled electron transfer (PCET), a slow C−C coupling process, and sluggish water oxidation half-reaction. Herein, a two-dimensional/two-dimensional (2D/2D) S-scheme heterojunction consisting of black phosphorus and Bi2WO6 (BP/BWO) was constructed for photocatalytic CO2 reduction coupling with benzylamine (BA) oxidation. The as-prepared BP/BWO catalyst exhibits a superior photocatalytic performance toward CO2 reduction, with a yield of 61.3 μmol g−1 h−1 for ethanol (selectivity of 91 %).In situ spectroscopic studies and theoretical calculations reveal that S-scheme heterojunction can effectively promote photogenerated carrier separation via the Bi−O−P bridge to accelerate the PCET process. Meanwhile, electron-rich BP acts as the active site and plays a vital role in the process of C−C coupling. In addition, the substitution of BA oxidation for H2O oxidation can further enhance the photocatalytic performance of CO2 reduction to C2H5OH. This work opens a new horizon for exploring novel heterogeneous photocatalysts in CO2 photoconversion to C2H5OH based on cooperative photoredox systems.  相似文献

Photocatalytic CO2 reduction to CH4 requires photosensitizers and sacrificial agents to provide sufficient electrons and protons through metal-based photocatalysts, and the separation of CH4 from by-product O2 has poor applications. Herein, we successfully synthesize a metal-free photocatalyst of a novel electron-acceptor 4,5,9,10-pyrenetetrone (PT), to our best knowledge, this is the first time that metal-free catalyst achieves non-sacrificial photocatalytic CO2 to CH4 and easily separable H2O2. This photocatalyst offers CH4 product of 10.6 μmol ⋅ g−1 ⋅ h−1 under non-sacrificial ambient conditions (room temperature, and only water), which is two orders of magnitude higher than that of the reported metal-free photocatalysts. Comprehensive in situ characterizations and calculations reveal a multi-step reaction mechanism, in which the long-lived oxygen-centered radical in the excited PT provides as a site for CO2 activation, resulting in a stabilized cyclic carbonate intermediate with a lower formation energy. This key intermediate is thermodynamically crucial for the subsequent reduction to CH4 product with the electronic selectivity of up to 90 %. The work provides fresh insights on the economic viability of photocatalytic CO2 reduction to easily separable CH4 in non-sacrificial and metal-free conditions.  相似文献

Photocatalytic synthesis of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a potential clean method, but the long distance between the oxidation and reduction sites in photocatalysts hinders the rapid transfer of photogenerated charges, limiting the improvement of its performance. Here, a metal-organic cage photocatalyst, Co14(L−CH3)24 , is constructed by directly coordinating metal sites (Co sites) used for the O2 reduction reaction (ORR) with non-metallic sites (imidazole sites of ligands) used for the H2O oxidation reaction (WOR), which shortens the transport path of photogenerated electrons and holes, and improves the transport efficiency of charges and activity of the photocatalyst. Therefore, it can be used as an efficient photocatalyst with a rate of as high as 146.6 μmol g−1 h−1 for H2O2 production under O2-saturated pure water without sacrificial agents. Significantly, the combination of photocatalytic experiments and theoretical calculations proves that the functionalized modification of ligands is more conducive to adsorbing key intermediates (*OH for WOR and *HOOH for ORR), resulting in better performance. This work proposed a new catalytic strategy for the first time; i.e., to build a synergistic metal-nonmetal active site in the crystalline catalyst and use the host–guest chemistry inherent in the metal-organic cage (MOC)to increase the contact between the substrate and the catalytically active site, and finally achieve efficient photocatalytic H2O2 synthesis.  相似文献

Efficient photocatalytic conversion of CO2 into CO and hydrocarbons by hydrous hydrazine (N2H4?H2O) is achieved on SrTiO3/TiO2 coaxial nanotube arrays loaded with Au–Cu bimetallic alloy nanoparticles. The synergetic catalytic effect by the Au–Cu alloy nanoparticles and the fast electron‐transfer in SrTiO3/TiO2 coaxial nanoarchitecture are the main reasons for the efficiency, while N2H4?H2O as the H source and electron donor provides a reducing atmosphere to protect the surface Cu atoms from oxidation, therefore maintaining the alloying effect which is the basis for the high photocatalytic activity and stability. This approach opens a feasible route to enhance the photocatalytic efficiency, which also benefits the development of photocatalysts and co‐catalysts.  相似文献

Photochemical reduction of CO2 with H2O into energy‐rich chemicals using inexhaustible solar energy is an appealing strategy to simultaneously address the global energy and environmental issues. Earth‐abundant metal complexes show promising application in this field due to their easy availability, rich redox valence and tunable property. Great progress has been seen on catalytic reduction of CO2 under visible light illumination employing earth‐abundant metal complexes and their hybrids as key contributors, especially for producing CO and HCOOH via the two‐electron reduction process. In this minireview, we will summarize and update advances on earth‐abundant metal complex‐derived photocatalytic system for visible‐light driven CO2 photoreduction over the last 5 years. Homogeneous earth‐abundant metal complex photocatalysts and earth‐abundant metal complex derived hybrid photocatalysts were both presented with focus on efficient improvement strategy.  相似文献

Developing highly efficient and stable photocatalysts for the CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) remains a great challenge. We designed a Z-Scheme photocatalyst with N−Cu1−S single-atom electron bridge (denoted as Cu-SAEB), which was used to mediate the CO2RR. The production of CO and O2 over Cu-SAEB is as high as 236.0 and 120.1 μmol g−1 h−1 in the absence of sacrificial agents, respectively, outperforming most previously reported photocatalysts. Notably, the as-designed Cu-SAEB is highly stable throughout 30 reaction cycles, totaling 300 h, owing to the strengthened contact interface of Cu-SAEB, and mediated by the N−Cu1−S atomic structure. Experimental and theoretical calculations indicated that the SAEB greatly promoted the Z-scheme interfacial charge-transport process, thus leading to great enhancement of the photocatalytic CO2RR of Cu-SAEB. This work represents a promising platform for the development of highly efficient and stable photocatalysts that have potential in CO2 conversion applications.  相似文献

A facile and controllable in situ reduction strategy is used to create surface oxygen vacancies (OVs) on Aurivillius‐phase Sr2Bi2Nb2TiO12 nanosheets, which were prepared by a mineralizer‐assisted soft‐chemical method. Introduction of OVs on the surface of Sr2Bi2Nb2TiO12 extends photoresponse to cover the whole visible region and also tremendously promotes separation of photoinduced charge carriers. Adsorption and activation of CO2 molecules on the surface of the catalyst are greatly enhanced. In the gas‐solid reaction system without co‐catalysts or sacrificial agents, OVs‐abundant Sr2Bi2Nb2TiO12 nanosheets show outstanding CO2 photoreduction activity, producing CO with a rate of 17.11 μmol g?1 h?1, about 58 times higher than that of the bulk counterpart, surpassing most previously reported state‐of‐the‐art photocatalysts. Our study provides a three‐in‐one integrated solution to advance the performance of photocatalysts for solar‐energy conversion and generation of renewable energy.  相似文献

Bio-inspired molecular-engineered systems have been extensively investigated for the half-reactions of H2O oxidation or CO2 reduction with sacrificial electron donors/acceptors. However, there has yet to be reported a device for dye-sensitized molecular photoanodes coupled with molecular photocathodes in an aqueous solution without the use of sacrificial reagents. Herein, we will report the integration of SnIV- or AlIII-tetrapyridylporphyrin (SnTPyP or AlTPyP) decorated tin oxide particles (SnTPyP/SnO2 or AlTPyP/SnO2) photoanode with the dye-sensitized molecular photocathode on nickel oxide particles containing [Ru(diimine)3]2+ as the light-harvesting unit and [Ru(diimine)(CO)2Cl2] as the catalyst unit covalently connected and fixed within poly-pyrrole layer (RuCAT-RuC2-PolyPyr-PRu/NiO). The simultaneous irradiation of the two photoelectrodes with visible light resulted in H2O2 on the anode and CO, HCOOH, and H2 on the cathode with high Faradaic efficiencies in purely aqueous conditions without any applied bias is the first example of artificial photosynthesis with only two-electron redox reactions.  相似文献

Metal–organic framework (MOF) NH2‐Uio‐66(Zr) exhibits photocatalytic activity for CO2 reduction in the presence of triethanolamine as sacrificial agent under visible‐light irradiation. Photoinduced electron transfer from the excited 2‐aminoterephthalate (ATA) to Zr oxo clusters in NH2‐Uio‐66(Zr) was for the first time revealed by photoluminescence studies. Generation of ZrIII and its involvement in photocatalytic CO2 reduction was confirmed by ESR analysis. Moreover, NH2‐Uio‐66(Zr) with mixed ATA and 2,5‐diaminoterephthalate (DTA) ligands was prepared and shown to exhibit higher performance for photocatalytic CO2 reduction due to its enhanced light adsorption and increased adsorption of CO2. This study provides a better understanding of photocatalytic CO2 reduction over MOF‐based photocatalysts and also demonstrates the great potential of using MOFs as highly stable, molecularly tunable, and recyclable photocatalysts in CO2 reduction.  相似文献

Improving the stability of lead halide perovskite quantum dots (QDs) in a system containing water is the key for their practical application in artificial photosynthesis. Herein, we encapsulate low‐cost CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPbI3) perovskite QDs in the pores of earth‐abundant Fe‐porphyrin based metal organic framework (MOF) PCN‐221(Fex) by a sequential deposition route, to construct a series of composite photocatalysts of MAPbI3@PCN‐221(Fex) (x=0–1). Protected by the MOF the composite photocatalysts exhibit much improved stability in reaction systems containing water. The close contact of QDs to the Fe catalytic site in the MOF, allows the photogenerated electrons in the QDs to transfer rapidly the Fe catalytic sites to enhance the photocatalytic activity for CO2 reduction. Using water as an electron source, MAPbI3@PCN‐221(Fe0.2) exhibits a record‐high total yield of 1559 μmol g?1 for photocatalytic CO2 reduction to CO (34 %) and CH4 (66 %), 38 times higher than that of PCN‐221(Fe0.2) in the absence of perovskite QDs.  相似文献
