Yttrocene‐carboxylate complex [Cp*2Y(OOCArMe)] (Cp*=C5Me5, ArMe=C6H2Me3‐2,4,6) was synthesized as a spectroscopically versatile model system for investigating the reactivity of alkylaluminum hydrides towards rare‐earth‐metal carboxylates. Equimolar reactions with bis‐neosilylaluminum hydride and dimethylaluminum hydride gave adduct complexes of the general formula [Cp*2Y(μ‐OOCArMe)(μ‐H)AlR2] (R=CH2SiMe3, Me). The use of an excess of the respective aluminum hydride led to the formation of product mixtures, from which the yttrium‐aluminum‐hydride complex [{Cp*2Y(μ‐H)AlMe2(μ‐H)AlMe2(μ‐CH3)}2] could be isolated, which features a 12‐membered‐ring structure. The adduct complexes [Cp*2Y(μ‐OOCArMe)(μ‐H)AlR2] display identical 1J(Y,H) coupling constants of 24.5 Hz for the bridging hydrido ligands and similar 89Y NMR shifts of δ=?88.1 ppm (R=CH2SiMe3) and δ=?86.3 ppm (R=Me) in the 89Y DEPT45 NMR experiments.  相似文献

Taking inspiration from yeast alcohol dehydrogenase (yADH), a benzimidazolium (BI+) organic hydride‐acceptor domain has been coupled with a 1,10‐phenanthroline (phen) metal‐binding domain to afford a novel multifunctional ligand ( L BI+) with hydride‐carrier capacity ( L BI++H?? L BIH). Complexes of the type [Cp*M( L BI)Cl][PF6]2 (M=Rh, Ir) have been made and fully characterised by cyclic voltammetry, UV/Vis spectroelectrochemistry, and, for the IrIII congener, X‐ray crystallography. [Cp*Rh( L BI)Cl][PF6]2 catalyses the transfer hydrogenation of imines by formate ion in very goods yield under conditions where the corresponding [Cp*Ir( L BI)Cl][PF6] and [Cp*M(phen)Cl][PF6] (M=Rh, Ir) complexes are almost inert as catalysts. Possible alternatives for the catalysis pathway are canvassed, and the free energies of intermediates and transition states determined by DFT calculations. The DFT study supports a mechanism involving formate‐driven Rh?H formation (90 kJ mol?1 free‐energy barrier), transfer of hydride between the Rh and BI+ centres to generate a tethered benzimidazoline (BIH) hydride donor, binding of imine substrate at Rh, back‐transfer of hydride from the BIH organic hydride donor to the Rh‐activated imine substrate (89 kJ mol?1 barrier), and exergonic protonation of the metal‐bound amide by formic acid with release of amine product to close the catalytic cycle. Parallels with the mechanism of biological hydride transfer in yADH are discussed.  相似文献

A series of lanthanum and neodymium complexes comprising the half‐lanthanidocenes Cp*La(BH4)2(THF)2 (Cp* = C5Me5) ( 1 ) and Cp*Nd(BH4)2(THF)2 ( 2 ), the trisborohydrides La(BH4)3(THF)3 ( 3 ) and Nd(BH4)3(THF)3 ( 4 ), the trichlorides LaCl3(THF)3 ( 5 ) and NdCl3(THF)3 ( 6 ), the triisopropoxides La(OiPr)3 ( 7 ) and Nd(OiPr)3 ( 8 ), and the triaryloxide Nd(OC6H3tBu2‐2,6)3 ( 9 ) has been assessed for the chain transfer polymerization of isoprene. A transmetalation process is occurring efficiently with the borohydride complexes in the presence of magnesium dialkyl. A gradual decrease of the 1,4‐trans stereoselectivity of the reaction is observed at the benefit of 3,4‐selectivity with increasing quantities of magnesium dialkyl. This can be at least partially attributed to the growth of 3,4 polyisoprene units onto the magnesium atom. By combining dialkylmagnesium and trialkylaluminum, a 1,4‐trans stereospecific reversible coordinative chain transfer polymerization of isoprene is reached using the half‐lanthanocene Cp*La(BH4)2(THF)2. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Treatment of the salt [PPh4]+[Cp*W(S)3]? ( 6 ) with allyl bromide gave the neutral complex [Cp*W(S)2S‐CH2‐CH?CH2] ( 7 ). The product 7 was characterized by an X‐ray crystal structure analysis. Complex 7 features dynamic NMR spectra that indicate a rapid allyl automerization process. From the analysis of the temperature‐dependent NMR spectra a Gibbs activation energy of ΔG (278 K)≈13.7±0.1 kcal mol?1 was obtained [ΔH≈10.4±0.1 kcal mol?1; ΔS≈?11.4 cal mol?1 K?1]. The DFT calculation identified an energetically unfavorable four‐membered transition state of the “forbidden” reaction and a favorable six‐membered transition state of the “Cope‐type” allyl rearrangement process at this transition‐metal complex core.  相似文献

Monophosphine‐o‐carborane has four competitive coordination modes when it coordinates to metal centers. To explore the structural transitions driven by these competitive coordination modes, a series of monophosphine‐o‐carborane Ir,Rh complexes were synthesized and characterized. [Cp*M(Cl)2{1‐(PPh2)‐1,2‐C2B10H11}] (M=Ir ( 1 a ), Rh ( 1 b ); Cp*=η5‐C5Me5), [Cp*Ir(H){7‐(PPh2)‐7,8‐C2B9H11}] ( 2 a ), and [1‐(PPh2)‐3‐(η5‐Cp*)‐3,1,2‐MC2B9H10] (M=Ir ( 3 a ), Rh ( 3 b )) can be all prepared directly by the reaction of 1‐(PPh2)‐1,2‐C2B10H11 with dimeric complexes [(Cp*MCl2)2] (M=Ir, Rh) under different conditions. Compound 3 b was treated with AgOTf (OTf=CF3SO3?) to afford the tetranuclear metallacarborane [Ag2(thf)2(OTf)2{1‐(PPh2)‐3‐(η5‐Cp*)‐3,1,2‐RhC2B9H10}2] ( 4 b ). The arylphosphine group in 3 a and 3 b was functionalized by elemental sulfur (1 equiv) in the presence of Et3N to afford [1‐{(S)PPh2}‐3‐(η5‐Cp*)‐3,1,2‐MC2B9H10] (M=Ir ( 5 a ), Rh ( 5 b )). Additionally, the 1‐(PPh2)‐1,2‐C2B10H11 ligand was functionalized by elemental sulfur (2 equiv) and then treated with [(Cp*IrCl2)2], thus resulting in two 16‐electron complexes [Cp*Ir(7‐{(S)PPh2}‐8‐S‐7,8‐C2B9H9)] ( 6 a ) and [Cp*Ir(7‐{(S)PPh2}‐8‐S‐9‐OCH3‐7,8‐C2B9H9)] ( 7 a ). Compound 6 a further reacted with nBuPPh2, thereby leading to 18‐electron complex [Cp*Ir(nBuPPh2)(7‐{(S)PPh2}‐8‐S‐7,8‐C2B9H10)] ( 8 a ). The influences of other factors on structural transitions or the formation of targeted compounds, including reaction temperature and solvent, were also explored.  相似文献

A series of molecular group 2 polyphosphides has been synthesized by using air-stable [Cp*Fe(η5-P5)] (Cp*=C5Me5) or white phosphorus as polyphosphorus precursors. Different types of group 2 reagents such as organo-magnesium, mono-valent magnesium, and molecular calcium hydride complexes have been investigated to activate these polyphosphorus sources. The organo-magnesium complex [(DippBDI−Mg(CH3))2] (DippBDI={[2,6-iPr2C6H3NCMe]2CH}) reacts with [Cp*Fe(η5-P5)] to give an unprecedented Mg/Fe-supramolecular wheel. Kinetically controlled activation of [Cp*Fe(η5-P5)] by different mono-valent magnesium complexes allowed the isolation of Mg-coordinated formally mono- and di-reduced products of [Cp*Fe(η5-P5)]. To obtain the first examples of molecular calcium-polyphosphides, a molecular calcium hydride complex was used to reduce the aromatic cyclo-P5 ring of [Cp*Fe(η5-P5)]. The Ca-Fe-polyphosphide is also characterized by quantum chemical calculations and compared with the corresponding Mg complex. Moreover, a calcium coordinated Zintl ion (P7)3− was obtained by molecular calcium hydride mediated P4 reduction.  相似文献

Building upon our earlier results on the synthesis of electron‐precise transition‐metal–boron complexes, we continue to investigate the reactivity of pentaborane(9) and tetraborane(10) analogues of ruthenium and rhodium towards thiazolyl and oxazolyl ligands. Thus, mild thermolysis of nido‐[(Cp*RuH)2B3H7] ( 1 ) with 2‐mercaptobenzothiazole (2‐mbtz) and 2‐mercaptobenzoxazole (2‐mboz) led to the isolation of Cp*‐based (Cp*=η5‐C5Me5) borate complexes 5 a , b [Cp*RuBH3L] ( 5 a : L=C7H4NS2; 5 b : L=C7H4NOS)) and agostic complexes 7 a , b [Cp*RuBH2(L)2], ( 7 a : L=C7H4NS2; 7 b : L=C7H4NOS). In a similar fashion, a rhodium analogue of pentaborane(9), nido‐[(Cp*Rh)2B3H7] ( 2 ) yielded rhodaboratrane [Cp*RhBH(L)2], 10 (L=C7H4NS2). Interestingly, when the reaction was performed with an excess of 2‐mbtz, it led to the formation of the first structurally characterized N,S‐heterocyclic rhodium‐carbene complex [(Cp*Rh)(L2)(1‐benzothiazol‐2‐ylidene)] ( 11 ) (L=C7H4NS2). Furthermore, to evaluate the scope of this new route, we extended this chemistry towards the diruthenium analogue of tetraborane(10), arachno‐[(Cp*RuCO)2B2H6] ( 3 ), in which the metal center possesses different ancillary ligands.  相似文献

Mg(n‐Bu){η2‐HC[C(Me)NMes]2} ( 2 ) (Mes = mesityl, 2,4,6‐Me3C6H2), a new β‐diketiminate‐supported magnesium alkyl, has been synthesized and structurally characterized. The X‐ray analysis of the lanthanum half‐sandwich complex Cp*La(BH4)2(THF)2 ( 1 ) (Cp* = pentamethylcyclopentadienyl; THF = tetrahydrofuran) is also reported. Complex 2 has been assessed as both alkylating agent and chain transfer agent for the lanthanum‐catalysed polymerization and coordinative chain transfer polymerization of isoprene and styrene using 1 as the pre‐catalyst. The results are compared with those for n‐butylethylmagnesium (BEM) which is traditionally used for this purpose. The 1,4‐trans stereospecific polymerization of isoprene shows a more controlled character using 2 versus BEM, and higher activities are observed for the chain transfer polymerization of styrene when 2 is used as chain transfer agent. The activity is in turn lower than that observed using BEM when 1 equiv. of magnesium compound is used for the polymerization of styrene. The combination of 1 , 2 and Al(i‐Bu)3 leads finally to a 1,4‐trans stereoselective coordinative chain transfer polymerization of isoprene, in a similar way to BEM. Synthesis, structure, and reactivity of carboranylamidinate‐based half‐sandwich iridium and rhodium complexes are reported for the first time. Treatment of dimeric metal complexes [{Cp*M(μCl)Cl}2] (M=Ir, Rh; Cp*=η5‐C5Me5) with a solution of one equivalent of nBuLi and a carboranylamidine produces 18‐electron complexes [Cp*IrCl(CabN‐DIC)] ( 1 a ; CabN‐DIC=[iPrN?C(closo‐1,2‐C2B10H10)(NHiPr)]), [Cp*RhCl(CabN‐DIC)] ( 1 b ), and [Cp*RhCl(CabN‐DCC)] ( 1 c ; CabN‐DCC=[CyN?C(closo‐1,2‐C2B10H10)(NHCy)]). A series of 16‐electron half‐sandwich Ir and Rh complexes [Cp*Ir(CabN′‐DIC)] ( 2 a ; CabN′‐DIC=[iPrN?C(closo‐1,2‐C2B10H10)(NiPr)]), [Cp*Ir(CabN′‐DCC)] ( 2 b , CabN′‐DCC=[CyN?C(closo‐1,2‐C2B10H10)(NCy)]), and [Cp*Rh(CabN′‐DIC)] ( 2 c ) is also obtained when an excess of nBuLi is used. The unexpected products [Cp*M(CabN,S‐DIC)], [Cp*M(CabN,S‐DCC)] (M=Ir 3 a , 3 b ; Rh 3 c , 3 d ), formed through BH activation, are obtained by reaction of [{Cp*MCl2}2] with carboranylamidinate sulfides [RN?C(closo‐1,2‐C2B10H10)(NHR)]S? The reaction of [Cp*Ir(bzpy)NO3] ( 1 ; bzpy=2‐benzoylpyridine, Cp*=pentamethylcyclopentadienyl anion), a competent water‐oxidation catalyst, with several oxidants (H2O2, NaIO4, cerium ammonium nitrate (CAN)) was studied to intercept and characterize possible intermediates of the oxidative transformation. NMR spectroscopy and ESI‐MS techniques provided evidence for the formation of many species that all had the intact Ir–bzpy moiety and a gradually more oxidized Cp* ligand. Initially, an oxygen atom is trapped in between two carbon atoms of Cp* and iridium, which gives an oxygen–Ir coordinated epoxide, whereas the remaining three carbon atoms of Cp* are involved in a η3 interaction with iridium ( 2 a ). Formal addition of H2O to 2 a or H2O2 to 1 leads to 2 b , in which a double MeCOH functionalization of Cp* is present with one MeCOH engaged in an interaction with iridium. The structure of 2 b was unambiguously determined in the solid state and in solution by X‐ray single‐crystal diffractometry and advanced NMR spectroscopic techniques, respectively. Further oxidation led to the opening of Cp* and transformation of the diol into a diketone with one carbonyl coordinated at the metal ( 2 c ). A η3 interaction between the three non‐oxygenated carbons of “ex‐Cp*” and iridium is also present in both 2 b and 2 c . Isolated 2 b and mixtures of 2 a – c species were tested in water‐oxidation catalysis by using CAN as sacrificial oxidant. They showed substantially the same activity than 1 (turnover frequency values ranged from 9 to 14 min?1).  相似文献

A high‐yielding synthetic route for the preparation of group 9 metallaboratrane complexes [Cp*MBH(L)2], 1 and 2 ( 1 , M=Rh, 2 , M=Ir; L=C7H4NS2) has been developed using [{Cp*MCl2}2] as precursor. This method also permitted the synthesis of an Rh–N,S‐heterocyclic carbene complex, [(Cp*Rh)(L2)(1‐benzothiazol‐2‐ylidene)] ( 3 ; L=C7H4NS2) in good yield. The reaction of compound 3 with neutral borane reagents led to the isolation of a novel borataallyl complex [Cp*Rh(L)2B{CH2C(CO2Me)}] ( 4 ; L=C7H4NS2). Compound 4 features a rare η3‐interaction between rhodium and the B‐C‐C unit of a vinylborane moiety. Furthermore, with the objective of generating metallaboratranes of other early and late transition metals through a transmetallation approach, reactions of rhoda‐ and irida‐boratrane complexes with metal carbonyl compounds were carried out. Although the objective of isolating such complexes was not achieved, several interesting mixed‐metal complexes [{Cp*Rh}{Re(CO)3}(C7H4NS2)3] ( 5 ), [Cp*Rh{Fe2(CO)6}(μ‐CO)S] ( 6 ), and [Cp*RhBH(L)2W(CO)5] ( 7 ; L=C7H4NS2) have been isolated. All of the new compounds have been characterized in solution by mass spectrometry, IR spectroscopy, and 1H, 11B, and 13C NMR spectroscopies, and the structural types of 4 – 7 have been unequivocally established by crystallographic analysis.  相似文献

A route to directly access mixed Al–Fe polyphosphide complexes was developed. The reactivity of pentaphosphaferrocene, [Cp*Fe(η5‐P5)] (Cp*=C5Me5), with two different low‐valent aluminum compounds was investigated. The steric and electronic environment around the [AlI] centre are found to be crucial for the formation of the resulting Al–Fe polyphosphides. Reaction with the sterically demanding [Dipp‐BDIAlI] (Dipp‐BDI={[2,6‐iPr2C6H3NCMe]2CH}?) resulted in the first Al‐based neutral triple‐decker type polyphosphide complex. For [(Cp*AlI)4], an unprecedented regioselective insertion of three [Cp*AlIII]2+ moieties into two adjacent P?P bonds of the cyclo‐P5 ring of [Cp*Fe(η5‐P5)] was observed. The regioselectivity of the insertion reaction could be rationalized by isolating an analogue of the reaction intermediate stabilized by a strong σ‐donor carbene.  相似文献

Complexes of Titanium — Synthesis, Structure, and Fluxional Behaviour of CpTi{η6‐C5H4=C(p‐Tol)2}Cl (Cp′ = Cp*, Cp) The reaction of Cp′TiCl3 (C′ = Cp* or Cp) with magnesium and 6, 6‐di‐para‐tolylpentafulvene generates good yields of pentafulvene complexes Cp*Ti{η6‐C5H4=C(p‐Tol)2}Cl ( 4 ) and CpTi{η6‐C5H4=C(p‐Tol)2}Cl ( 5 ), respectively. The crystal and molecular structure of 4 have been determined from X‐ray data and exhibits compared to known η6‐pentafulvene complexes an unusual large Ti—C(p‐Tol)2 (Fv)‐distance (2.535(5)Å) evoked by the bulky substituents at the exocyclic carbon. Dynamic 1H‐NMR and spin saturation transfer experiments point out a rotation of the fulvene ligand around the Ti—Ct2 axis (Ct2 = centroid of the fulvene ring carbon atoms) with an activation barrier ΔGC = 60.6 ± 0.5 kJ mol−1 (TC = 314 ± 2 K). For 5 this barrier is significantly larger. Analogous dynamic behaviour is well known for diene complexes, but to our knowledge, it is here first‐time described for a pentafulvene complex.  相似文献

Formal [2 + 2 + 2] addition reactions of [Cp*Ru(H2O)(NBD)]BF4 (NBD = norbornadiene) with PhC?CR (R = H, COOEt) give [Cp*Ru(η6‐C6H5? C9H8R)] BF4 (1a, R = H; 2a, R = COOEt). Treatment of [Cp*Ru(H2O)(NBD)]BF4 with PhC?C? C?CPh does not give [2 + 2 + 2] addition product, but [Cp*Ru(η6‐C6H5? C?C? C?CPh)] BF4(3a). Treatment of 1a, 2a, 3a with NaBPh4 affords [Cp*Ru(η6‐C6H5? C9H8R)] BPh4 (1b, R = H; 2b, R = COOEt) and [Cp*Ru(η6‐C6H5? C?C? C?CPh)] BPh4(3b). The structures of 1b, 2b and 3b were determined by X‐ray crystallography. The preparation and characterization of a series of neutral rare‐earth metal complexes [Ln(Me3TACD)(η3‐C3H5)2] (Ln=Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm) supported by the 1,4,7‐trimethyl‐1,4,7,10‐tetraazacyclododecane anion (Me3TACD?) are reported. Upon treatment of the neutral allyl complexes [Ln(Me3TACD)(η3‐C3H5)2] with Brønsted acids, monocationic allyl complexes [Ln(Me3TACD)(η3‐C3H5)(thf)2][B(C6X5)4] (Ln=La, Ce, Nd, X=H, F) were isolated and characterized. Hydrogenolysis gave the hydride complexes [Ln(Me3TACD)H2]n (Ln=Y, n=3; La, n=4; Sm). X‐ray crystallography showed the lanthanum hydride to be tetranuclear. Reactivity studies of [Ln(Me3TACD)R2]n (R=η3‐C3H5, n=0; R=H, n=3,4) towards furan derivatives includes hydrosilylation and deoxygenation under ring‐opening conditions.  相似文献

In this work, a pincer‐type complex [Cp*Ir‐(SNPh)(SNHPh)(C2B10H9)] ( 2 ) was synthesized and its reactivity studied in detail. Interestingly, molecular hydrogen can induce the transformation between the metalloradical [Cp*Ir‐(SNPh)2(C2B10H9)] ( 5 .) and 2 . A mixed‐valence complex, [(Cp*Ir)2‐(SNPh)2(C2B10H8)] ( 7 .+), was also synthesized by one‐electron oxidation. Studies show that 7 .+ is fully delocalized, possessing a four‐centered‐one‐electron (S‐Ir‐Ir‐S) bonding interaction. DFT calculations were also in good agreement with the experimental results.  相似文献

Reactions of group 4 metallocene sources with 2‐substituted pyridines were investigated to evaluate their coordination type between innocent and reductive dearomatisation as well as to probe the possibility for couplings. A dependence on the cyclopentadienyl ligands (Cp, Cp*), the metals (Ti, Zr), and the substrates (2‐phenyl‐, 2‐acetyl‐, and 2‐iminopyridine) was observed. While 2‐phenylpyridine is barely reactive, 2‐acetylpyridine reacts vigorously with the Cp‐substituted complexes and selectively with their Cp* analogues. With 2‐iminopyridine, in all cases selective reactions were observed. In the isolated [Cp2Ti], [Cp2Zr], and [Cp*2Zr] compounds the substrate coordinates by its pyridyl ring and the unsaturated side‐chain. Subsequently, the pyridine was dearomatised, which is most pronounced in the [Cp*2Zr] compounds. Using [Cp*2Ti] leads to the unexpected paramagnetic complexes [Cp*2TiIII(N,O‐acpy)] and [Cp*2TiIII(N,N′‐impy)]. This highlights the non‐innocent character of the pyridyl substrates.  相似文献

A series of mono‐, bis‐, and tris(phenoxy)–titanium(IV) chlorides of the type [Cp*Ti(2‐R? PhO)nCl3?n] (n=1–3; Cp*=pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) was prepared, in which R=Me, iPr, tBu, and Ph. The formation of each mono‐, bis‐, and tris(2‐alkyl‐/arylphenoxy) series was authenticated by structural studies on representative examples of the phenyl series including [Cp*Ti(2‐Ph? PhO)Cl2] ( 1 PhCl2 ), [Cp*Ti(2‐Ph? PhO)2Cl] ( 2 PhCl ), and [Cp*Ti(2‐Ph? PhO)3] ( 3 Ph ). The metal‐coordination geometry of each compound is best described as pseudotetrahedral with the Cp* ring and the 2‐Ph? PhO and chloride ligands occupying three leg positions in a piano‐stool geometry. The mean Ti? O distances, observed with an increasing number of 2‐Ph? PhO groups, are 1.784(3), 1.802(4), and 1.799(3) Å for 1 PhCl2 , 2 PhCl , and 3 Ph , respectively. All four alkyl/aryl series with Me, iPr, tBu, and Ph substituents were tested for ethylene homopolymerization after activation with Ph3C+[B(C6F5)4]? and modified methyaluminoxane (7% aluminum in isopar E; mMAO‐7) at 140 °C. The phenyl series showed much higher catalytic activity, which ranged from 43.2 and 65.4 kg (mmol of Ti?h)?1, than the Me, iPr, and tBu series (19.2 and 36.6 kg (mmol of Ti?h)?1). Among the phenyl series, the bis(phenoxide) complex of 2 PhCl showed the highest activity of 65.4 kg (mmol of Ti?h)?1. Therefore, the catalyst precursors of the phenyl series were examined by treating them with a variety of alkylating reagents, such as trimethylaluminum (TMA), triisobutylaluminum (TIBA), and methylaluminoxane (MAO). In all cases, 2 PhCl produced the most catalytically active alkylated species, [Cp*Ti(2‐Ph? PhO)MeCl]. This enhancement was further supported by DFT calculations based on the simplified model with TMA.  相似文献

A DFT analysis of the epoxidation of C2H4 by H2O2 and MeOOH (as models of tert‐butylhydroperoxide, TBHP) catalyzed by [Cp*MoO2Cl] ( 1 ) in CHCl3 and by [Cp*MoO2(H2O)]+ in water is presented (Cp*=pentamethylcyclopentadienyl). The calculations were performed both in the gas phase and in solution with the use of the conductor‐like polarizable continuum model (CPCM). A low‐energy pathway has been identified, which starts with the activation of ROOH (R=H or Me) to form a hydro/alkylperoxido derivative, [Cp*MoO(OH)(OOR)Cl] or [Cp*MoO(OH)(OOR)]+ with barriers of 24.9 (26.5) and 28.7 (29.2) kcal mol?1 for H2O2 (MeOOH), respectively, in solution. The latter barrier, however, is reduced to only 1.0 (1.6) kcal mol?1 when one additional water molecule is explicitly included in the calculations. The hydro/alkylperoxido ligand in these intermediates is η2‐coordinated, with a significant interaction between the Mo center and the Oβ atom. The subsequent step is a nucleophilic attack of the ethylene molecule on the activated Oα atom, requiring 13.9 (17.8) and 16.1 (17.7) kcal mol?1 in solution, respectively. The corresponding transformation, catalyzed by the peroxido complex [Cp*MoO(O2)Cl] in CHCl3, requires higher barriers for both steps (ROOH activation: 34.3 (35.2) kcal mol?1; O atom transfer: 28.5 (30.3) kcal mol?1), which is attributed to both greater steric crowding and to the greater electron density on the metal atom.  相似文献
