Samples of γ-Mn2O3 with various iron contents are obtained by co-precipitation from appropriate amounts of manganese sulphate and ferric nitrate solutions by a concentrated (2.5 N) boiling solution of sodium hydroxide. Thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction and IR spectroscopy of the specimens reveal that the presence of iron in γ-Mn2O3 up to 15 to 25 at.% leads to formation of a single phase γ-Mn2O3 solid solution, which is partly reduced to Mn3O4 around 680 °C and finally transforms to the -Mn2O3 phase on heating at or above 950 °C. With increasing iron concentration beyond 25 at.%, the formation of a ferrite phase has been detected in addition to the γ-Mn2O3 solid solution. However, this ferrite phase is thermally unstable and breaks down on heating around 600°C.  相似文献

The resistance of a novel silica-based N,N,N′,N′-tetraoctyl-3-oxapentane-1,5-diamide (TODGA) polymeric adsorption material (TODGA/SiO2-P) against nitric acid, temperature and γ-irradiation had been investigated. The adsorption property of the treated TODGA/SiO2-P was evaluated by a 3 M HNO3 solution containing 0.01 M Nd(III). It was found that both 3 and 0.01 M HNO3 concentrations did not decrease the stability of TODGA/SiO2-P at 25°C. The quantity of TODGA leaked from TODGA/SiO2-P was equivalent to its solubility in the corresponding HNO3 aqueous solution. The effect of 3 M HNO3 on the leakage of TODGA at 80°C was significantly higher than that in 0.01 M HNO3 as well as in all cases at 25°C. The amount of Nd(III) adsorbed towards the treated TODGA/SiO2-P was determined in the range of 0.143–0.148 mmol/g for the HNO3 concentration effect and 0.142–0.0506 mmol/g for the temperature effect. γ-Irradiation showed a more noticeable destruction effect on TODGA/SiO2-P. The content of TODGA leaked increased with an increase in the γ-irradiation dose (ID) from 1.06 to 3.72 MGy in terms of the linear equation [TODGA]=794.5ID+84.0. The amount of Nd(III) adsorbed onto the irradiated TODGA/SiO2-P decreased rapidly from 0.134 to 0.0438 mmol/g, which was lower than 0.153 mmol/g, the adsorption of fresh TODGA/SiO2-P for Nd(III), according to the equation QNd(III)=−0.0301ID+0.160, showing that a large quantity of TODGA leaked from TODGA/SiO2-P. The adsorbed amount of Nd(III) decreased obviously in this order: the HNO3 concentration effect, temperature effect and γ-irradiation.  相似文献

The high-valent bis(oxo)-bridged dimanganese(IV) complexes with the series of binucleating 4,5-X2-o-phenylenebis(oxamate) ligands (opbaX2; X = H, Cl, Me) (1a–c) have been synthesized and characterized structurally, spectroscopically and magnetically. Complexes 1a–c possess unique Mn2(μ-O)2 core structures with two o-phenylenediamidate type additional bridges which lead to exceptionally short Mn–Mn distances (2.63–2.65 Å) and fairly bent Mn–O–Mn angles (94.1°–94.6°). The cyclovoltammograms of 1a–c in acetonitrile (25 °C, 0.1 M Bu4NPF6) show an irreversible one-electron oxidation peak at moderately high anodic potentials (Eap = 0.50–0.85 V versus SCE), while no reductions are observed in the potential range studied (down to −2.0 V versus SCE). These dinuclear manganese oxamate complexes are excellent catalysts for the aerobic oxidation of 3,5-di-tert-butylcatechol to the corresponding o-quinone in acetonitrile at 25 °C. The order of increasing catecholase activity (kobs) with the electron donor character of the ligand substituents as 1b (X = Cl) < 1a (X = H) < 1c (X = Me) correlates with Hammett σ+ values (ρ = −0.95). A mechanism involving initial activation of the catechol substrate by coordination to the dimetal center and subsequent oxidation to quinone by O2 is proposed, which is consistent with the observed saturation kinetics.  相似文献

A series of γ-Al2O3 samples modified with various contents of sulfate (0–15 wt.%) and calcined at different temperatures (350–750 °C) were prepared by an impregnation method and physically admixed with CuO–ZnO–Al2O3 methanol synthesis catalyst to form hybrid catalysts. The direct synthesis of dimethyl ether (DME) from syngas was carried out over the prepared hybrid catalysts under pressurized fixed-bed continuous flow conditions. The results revealed that the catalytic activity of SO42−/γ-Al2O3 for methanol dehydration increased significantly when the content of sulfate increased to 10 wt.%, resulting in the increase in both DME selectivity and CO conversion. However, when the content of sulfate of SO42−/γ-Al2O3 was further increased to 15 wt.%, the activity for methanol dehydration was increased, and the selectivity for DME decreased slightly as reflected in the increased formation of byproducts like hydrocarbons and CO2. On the other hand, when the calcination temperature of SO42−/γ-Al2O3 increased from 350 °C to 550 °C, both the CO conversion and the DME selectivity increased gradually, accompanied with the decreased formation of CO2. Nevertheless, a further increase in calcination temperature to 750 °C remarkably decreased the catalytic activity of SO42−/γ-Al2O3 for methanol dehydration, resulting in the significant decline in both DME selectivity and CO conversion. The hybrid catalyst containing the SO42−/γ-Al2O3 with 10 wt.% sulfate and calcined at 550 °C exhibited the highest selectivity and yield for the synthesis of DME.  相似文献

The effects of doping of Co3O4with MgO (0.4–6 mol%) and V2O5 (0.20–0.75 mol%) on its surface and catalytic properties were investigated using nitrogen adsorption at −196°C and decomposition of H2O2 at 30–50°C. Pure and doped samples were prepared by thermal decomposition in air at 500–900°C, of pure basic cobalt carbonate and basic carbonate treated with different proportions of magnesium nitrate and ammonium vanadate. The results revealed that, V2O5 doping followed by precalcination at 500–900°C did not much modify the specific surface area of the treated Co3O4 solid. Treatment of Co3O4 with MgO at 500–900°C resulted in a significant increase in the specific surface area of cobaltic oxide. The catalytic activity in H2O2 decomposition, of Co3O4 was found to suffer a considerable increase by treatment with MgO. The maximum increase in the catalytic reaction rate constant (k) measured at 40°C on Co3O4 due to doping with 3 mol% MgO attained 218, 590 and 275% for the catalysts precalcined at 500, 700 and 900°C, respectively. V2O5-doping of Co3O4 brought about a significant progressive decrease in its catalytic activity. The maximum decrease in the reaction rate constant measured at 40°C over the 0.75 mol% V2O5-doped Co3O4 solid attained 68 and 93% for the catalyst samples precalcined at 500 and 900°C, respectively. The doping process did not modify the activation energy of the catalyzed reaction but much modified the concentration of catalytically active constituents without changing their energetic nature. MgO-doping increased the concentration of CO3+–CO2+ ion pairs and created Mg2+–CO3+ ion pairs increasing thus the number of active constituents involved in the catalytic decomposition of H2O2. V2O5-doping exerted an opposite effect via decreasing the number of CO3+–CO2+ ion pairs besides the possible formation of cobalt vanadate.  相似文献

To study the effect of W concentration and activation temperature of the catalysts a series of WOx/ZrO2 samples with varying concentration of W (10–25 wt.%) were prepared and activated at 650/750 °C. XRD of sample shows 15 wt.% W stabilizes the tetragonal phase of zirconia up to 750 °C. Above and less than 15 wt.% shows peaks corresponding to monoclinic WO3 and monoclinic ZrO2, respectively. Further, the tungsten modification stabilizes the specific surface area of ZrO2. There is an increase in the surface area observed up to 15 wt.% W, which declines on further increase in the concentration. The NH3 TPD confirms the presence of acid sites with varying strength from the broad desorption profile. The 15 wt.% W and activated at 750 °C shows maximum acidity. The results of the nitration reaction of chlorobezene imply the 15 wt.% W and activation at 750 °C shows maximum activity. Not only yield, a better para-selectivity is also achieved with WOx/ZrO2 samples. Effect of activation temperature, W concentration and reaction parameters such as reaction temperature, reaction time, the presence of solvent and solvent free medium on activity and selectivity are studied in details.  相似文献

Aerosol flame pyrolysis deposition method was applied to deposit the oxide glass electrolyte film and LiCoO2 cathode for thin film type Li-ion secondary battery. The thicknesses of as-deposited porous LiCoO2 and Li2O–B2O3–P2O5 electrolyte film were about 6 μm and 15 μm, respectively. The deposited LiCoO2 was sintered for 2 min at 700 °C to make partially densified cathode layer, and the deposited Li2O–P2O5–B2O3 glass film completely densified by the sintering at 700 °C for 1 h. After solid state sintering process the thicknesses were reduced to approximately 4 μm and 6 μm, respectively. The cathode and electrolyte layers were deposited by continuous deposition process and integrated into a layer by co-sintering. It was demonstrated that Aerosol flame deposition is one of the good candidates for the fabrication of thin film battery.  相似文献

The reaction between transition metal alkoxides and benzyl alcohol provides a novel soft chemistry route to metal oxide nanoparticles. The method allows the preparation of nanocrystals of two important transition metal oxides, namely V2O3 and Nb2O5. Although the reaction temperatures of 200–220 °C are comparably low, the obtained particles are highly crystalline. According to TEM investigations, the V2O3 crystals exhibit particle sizes between 20 and 50 nm, and the Nb2O5 crystals display platelet-like particle shapes with sizes of 50–80 nm, without any indications of amorphous character.  相似文献

Homogeneous membranes were prepared by casting the solution of blended chitosan and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) on a glass plate. The percent weight of chitosan in the membrane was varied from 0 to 100%. The membrane thickness was in the range of 15–30 μm. The membranes were heat treated at 150 °C for an hour. After that the membranes were crosslinked by glutaraldehyde and sulfuric acid in acetone aqueous solution. The membranes were tested at 30–60 °C for dehydration performance of 50–95% isopropanol aqueous solutions. At around 90% of isopropanol in the feed mixture, permeate flux increased whereas the percent of water in permeate tended to decrease when the feed temperature increased for all membranes, except that the water content in permeate from the membrane containing 75 wt.% chitosan remained constant. The swelling degree in water and the total flux increased with increasing chitosan content in membranes. The effect of temperature on permeate flux followed the Arrhenius relationship. The permeate flux decreased when isopropanol in the feed increased for all membranes. However, water content in permeate and isopropanol concentration in the feed formed complex relationship for different chitosan content membranes. Sorption did not appear to have significant effects on separation. The membrane containing chitosan 75% performed the best. For a feed solution containing 90% isopropanol at 60 °C, the permeate flux was 644 g/m2 h with water content of nearly 100% in the permeate. At 55% isopropanol in the feed at 60 °C, the permeate flux was 3812 g/m2 h. In the range of 55–95% of isopropanol in the feed, the water content in permeate was more than 99.5%. This membrane showed very excellent performance with good mechanical strength. It is promising to develop this membrane for industrial uses.  相似文献

The effects of calcination temperature and doping with K2O on solid–solid interactions and physicochemical properties of NiO/Fe2O3 system were investigated using TG, DTA and XRD techniques. The amounts of potassium, expressed as mol% K2O were 0.62, 1.23, 2.44 and 4.26. The pure and variously doped mixed solids were thermally treated at 300, 500, 750, 900 and 1000 °C. The catalytic activity was determined for each solid in H2O2 decomposition reaction at 30–50 °C. The results obtained showed that the doping process much affected the degree of crystallinity of both NiO and Fe2O3 phases detected for all solids calcined at 300 and 500 °C. Fe2O3 interacted readily with NiO at temperature starting from 700 °C producing crystalline NiFe2O4 phase. The degree of reaction propagation increased with increasing calcination temperature. The completion of this reaction required a prolonged heating at temperature >900 °C. K2O-doping stimulates the ferrite formation to an extent proportional to its amount added. The stimulation effect of potassium was evidenced by following up the change in the peak height of certain diffraction lines characteristic NiO, Fe2O3, NiFe2O4 phases located at “d” spacing 2.08, 2.69 and 2.95 Å, respectively. The change of peak height of the diffraction lines at 2.95 Å as a function of firing temperature of pure and doped mixed solids enabled the calculation of the activation energy (ΔE) of the ferrite formation. The computed ΔE values were 120, 80, 49, 36 and 25 kJ mol−1 for pure and variously doped solids, respectively. The decrease in ΔE value of NiFe2O4 formation as a function of dopant added was not only attributed to an effective increase in the mobility of reacting cations but also to the formation of potassium ferrite. The calcination temperature and doping with K2O much affected the catalytic activity of the system under investigation.  相似文献

Simultaneous thermogravimetry–differential thermal analysis (TG–DTA) and gas and liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry detection have been used to study the kinetics and decomposition of 2-hydroxybenzoic acid, 2-carboxyphenyl ester, commercially known as salsalate. Samples of salsalate were heated in the TG–DTA apparatus in an inert atmosphere (100 ml min−1 nitrogen) in the temperature range 30–500 °C. The data indicated that the decomposition of salsalate is a two-stage process. The first decomposition stage (150–250 °C) had a best fit with second-order kinetics with Ea=191–198 kJ/mol. The second decomposition stage (300–400 °C) is described as a zero-order process with Ea=72–80 kJ/mol. The products of the decomposition were investigated in two ways:
(a)Salsalate was heated in a gas chromatograph at various isothermal temperatures in the range 150–280 °C, and the exit gas stream analyzed by mass spectrometry (GC–MS). This approach suggested that salsalate decomposes with the formation of salicylic acid, phenol, phenyl salicylate, and cyclic oligomers of salicylic acid di- and tri-salicylides.
(b)One gram samples of salsalate were heated in a vessel under nitrogen to 150 °C, and the residues were analyzed by liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC–MS). The major compound detected was a linear tetrameric salicylate ester.

The dependence of thermal dehydration behavior of nitrofurantoin monohydrate on humidity was studied. Difference in observed crystallinity of resulting anhydrates under three humidity conditions is discussed in relation to the effect of water vapor molecules. Thermal dehydration of nitrofurantoin monohydrate was measured using a humidity controlled simultaneous measurement instrument for X-ray Diffractometry (XRD) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) in dry, 27 °C 91% RH and 60 °C 90% RH nitrogen. Dehydration of nitrofurantoin in dry nitrogen gave a mixture of crystalline and amorphous anhydrates in the temperature range of 124–180 °C followed by crystallization around 185–190 °C. Whereas, dehydration in high humidity atmosphere (60 °C 90% RH or 17.7% H2O–82.3% N2) gave well crystallized anhydrate at 140 °C soon after dehydration. Dehydration in low humidity nitrogen (27 °C 91% RH or 3.2% H2O–96.8% N2) gave not totally crystalline anhydrate, which became pure crystalline at around 190 °C. The effect of high humidity on dehydration and crystallinity of the resulting anhydrate can be attributed to the role of water vapor molecules in two ways such as the acceleration of molecular mobility and high molecular diffusion rate of nitrofurantoin anhydrate, and the formation of hydrogen bonding bridges quickly connecting dehydrated molecules to one another.  相似文献

Fine particle superacidic sulfated zirconia (SO42−/ZrO2, S-ZrO2) was synthesized by ameliorated method, and composite membranes with different S-ZrO2 contents were prepared by a recasting procedure from a suspension of S-ZrO2 powder and Nafion solution. The physico-chemical properties of the membranes were studied by ion exchange capacity (IEC) and liquid water uptake measurements, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, thermogravimetry–mass spectrometry (TG–MS) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The results showed that the IEC of composite membrane increased with the content of S-ZrO2, S-ZrO2 was compatible with the Nafion matrix, the incorporation of the S-ZrO2 could increase the crystallinity and also improve the initial degradation temperature of the composite membrane. The performance of single cell was the best when the S-ZrO2 content was 15 wt.%, and achieved 1.35 W/cm2 at 80 °C and 0.99 W/cm2 at 120 °C based on H2/O2 and at a pressure of 2 atm, the performance of the single cell with optimized S-ZrO2 was far more than that of the Nafion at the same condition (e.g. 1.28 W/cm2 at 80 °C, 0.75 W/cm2 at 120 °C). The 15 wt.% S-ZrO2/Nafion composite membrane showed lower fuel cell internal resistance than Nafion membranes at high temperature and low relative humidity (RH).  相似文献

Raman spectra of highly fluorinated CxF samples (1<x<2) prepared at room temperature and 515°C were measured. CxF samples prepared at room temperature exhibited two Raman bands at 1593–1583 and 1555–1542 cm−1. Graphite samples fluorinated at 515°C for 1 and 2 min also gave similar bands at 1581–1580 and 1550–1538 cm−1. However, graphite samples fluorinated from 15 min to 10 h at 515°C no longer showed such spectra. The Raman peaks shifted to lower frequencies with increasing fluorine concentration in CxF. This trend is due to the weakening of the C---C bonds of the graphene layers. Observation of both kinds of Raman bands suggests the coexistence of two highly fluorinated phases, C2F and C1F, in the samples. The process of formation of graphite fluoride is discussed on the basis of the Raman spectra of CxF samples obtained at 515°C.  相似文献

Surface and catalytic properties of Cu/Zn mixed oxide catalysts   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Copper catalysts supported on zinc oxide, with different loading (1–20 wt.% CuO), were prepared by impregnation of the basic zinc carbonate with a water solution of copper nitrate. The impregnated samples were dried at 120°C and calcined at 400–700°C. The surface and catalytic properties of CuO loaded on ZnO were determined by N2 adsorption measurements conducted at −196°C and CO oxidation by O2 at 150–300°C, respectively. The results obtained revealed that the surface and catalytic properties of different solids were dependent upon CuO content and calcination temperature. The specific surface areas of various adsorbents decreased monotonically as a function of both calcination temperature and extent of loading. However, the activation energy of sintering, ΔES, was found to increase by increasing the amount of CuO present. On the other hand, the CO oxidation activity on various catalysts was found to increase progressively by increasing the calcination temperature from 400 to 500°C, then decreased by increasing the temperature from 500 to 700°C. The augmentation of CuO content from 1 to 5 wt.% resulted in an increase in the CO oxidation activity, which decreased by increasing the extent of loading above this limit.  相似文献

Positron lifetime measurements have been performed on liquid SF6 in the temperature range from −45°C to 71°C (Tc = 45.65°C). The positron lifetime spectra were resolved into four lifetime components. In the order of increasing lifetimes the four lifetime components are associated with the decay of para-positronium (p-Ps), free positrons, ortho-positronium (o-Ps) from a small bubble state, and o-Ps from a large bubble state. The lifetime of o-Ps annihilating from the large bubble state τ4 increases from 5.7 ns at −45°C to 19.5 ns at 53°C. The lifetime of o-Ps annihilating from the small bubble state τ3 was found to be 2–2.5 ns in the main part of the temperature range studied. Apparently, this is the first observation of two different o-Ps states in a liquid. The intensity I4 (I3) increases (decreases) from 16.9% (16%) at −45°C to 47.2% (6.4%) at the critical point while above I3 and I4 are essentially temperature independent. The large Ps bubble state seems to be similar to the Ps bubble state found in most liquids.  相似文献

The liquid-phase alkylation of phenol with 1-dodecene was carried out over WOx/ZrO2 solid acid catalysts. The catalysts were prepared by wet impregnation method using zirconium oxyhydroxide and ammonium metatungstate. Catalysts with different WO3 loading (5–30 wt.%) were prepared and calcined at 800 °C and catalyst with 15% WO3 was calcined from 700–850 °C. All the catalysts were characterized by surface area, XRD, and FTIR. The catalyst with 15% WO3 calcined at 800 °C (15 WZ-800) was found to be the most active in the reaction. The effect of temperature, molar ratio and catalyst weight on dodecene conversion and products selectivity was studied in detail. Under the optimized reaction conditions of 120 °C, phenol/1-dodecene molar ratio 2 and time 2 h, the catalyst 15 WZ-800 gave >99% dodecene conversion with 90% dodecylphenol selectivity. Comparison of the catalytic activity of 15 WZ-800 with sulfated zirconia calcined at 500 °C (SZ-500) and Hβ zeolite showed that activity of SZ-500 was lower than that of 15 WZ-800, while Hβ zeolite showed negligible activity. It is observed that the presence of water in the reaction mixture was detrimental to the catalytic activity of WOx/ZrO2. The catalyst 15 WZ-800 also found to be an efficient catalyst for alkylation of phenol with long-chain olefins like 1-octene and 1-decene.  相似文献

Cadmium concentration in lake sediments is determined by suspending the solid samples in a solution containing 5% (v/v) concentrated nitric acid and 0.1% (v/v) Triton X-100. Three modifiers were tested for the direct determination. The furnace temperature programmes and appropriate amount for each modifier were optimised to get the highest signal and the best separation between the atomic and background signals. The drying stage is performed by programming a 400 °C temperature, a ramp time of 25 s and hold time of 10 s on the power supply of the atomiser. No ashing step is used and platform atomisation is carried out at 2200 °C. W–Rh permanent modifier combined with conventional modifier by delivering 10 μl of 0.50% (w/v) NH4H2PO4 solution was the best chemical modifier for cadmium determination. This modifier also acts as a liquid medium for the slurry, thus simplifying the procedure. Calibration is performed using aqueous standards in the 1–5 μg l−1 range. The optimised method gave a limit of detection of 0.56 ng ml−1, characteristic mass of 10.1±0.8 pg for aqueous standard, 9.6±0.7 pg for slurry samples containing different Cd concentrations and good precision (7.6–5.2%). The method was validated by analysing four certified reference lake sediment materials: LKSD-1, LKSD-2, LKSD-3 and LKSD-4; satisfactory recoveries were obtained (90.0–96.3%) and no statistical differences were observed between the experimental and the certified cadmium concentration. The developed methodology was used to determine cadmium in three ‘real’ sediment samples from lakes in the area of Wielkopolski National Park, Poland.  相似文献
