The substitutional effect of Ru on the magnetic and transport properties of double exchange ferromagnets, La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 and La0.5Sr0.5CoO3 has been investigated. It is found that substitution of 10% Ru at the Mn site of La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 decreases the Curie temperature by 20 K than that of the parent compound. However, a large decrease in the Curie temperature, ΔTc80 K and the system undergoes a transition from metallic state to insulating state is observed when 10% Ru is doped in La0.5Sr0.5CoO3. The marginal effect of Ru in the Mn–O–Mn sublattice in comparison to the Co–O–Co sublattice could be due to the magnetic exchange interaction between Mn and Ru by virtue of the fact that Ru exhibits variable valence states, Ru+4/Ru+5. The eg and t2g parentage of Ru+5 is similar to Mn+4 and therefore, Ru+5 ion appears to participate in the double exchange mediated ferromagnetic (FM) interaction. On the other hand, Ruthenium (IV) ion disrupts an intermediate spin state of cobalt (Co+3: t2g5eg1), forcing a double exchange FM state to anti-FM state. 相似文献

Studies of the structural, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of polycrystalline Pr0.6−xEuxSr0.4MnO3 (0≤x≤0.15) perovskite manganites were carried out. Substitution for praseodymium with europium, with smaller ionic radius, induces local distortion in the 〈Mn–O–Mn〉 bonds and consequently causes a random distribution in the magnetic exchange interactions. The competition between magnetic interactions leads to the appearance of an inhomogeneous magnetic state in our samples. Pr0.6−xEuxSr0.4MnO3 (x=0, 0.05, 0.1 and 0.15) polycrystalline samples were prepared using the solid–solid reaction method at high temperature. The compounds yielded are single phase and crystallize in the orthorhombic system with the Pnma space group. The substitution of Eu for Pr leads to a decrease of the Curie temperature TC from 303 K for x=0.00 to 260 K for x=0.15. All of our compounds exhibit a large magnetic entropy change with a maximum around 2.2 J/kg K under a magnetic applied field change of 2 T for all compounds. 相似文献

We observed the giant magnetoimpedance and colossal ac magnetoresistance for a Cu coil wound on La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 under low dc magnetic fields. Even though the dc magnetoresistance for La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 plate is only −2.4% under H=12 kOe, a Cu coil wound on La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 plate exhibits a colossal ac magnetoresistance of −93% at 10 MHz and a giant magnetoimpedance of −59% in a wide frequency range of 500 kHz-10 MHz under a longitudinal field . The transverse magnetoimpedance is weaker than the longitudinal one. The giant magnetoimpedance and colossal ac magnetoresistance for a Cu coil wound on La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 are connected with the variation of permeability induced by dc magnetic field. 相似文献

The thermal and magnetothermal properties of La0.5Pr0.5Mn2Si2 and isostructural LaFe2Si2 intermetallic compounds in the temperature range 4.5-303 K are reported with and without applied magnetic field. The electronic, lattice, and magnetic contributions to the heat capacity of La0.5Pr0.5Mn2Si2 are determined and analyzed. We have determined and from heat capacity experiments; the values are in line with those from the magnetization measurements. We conclude that in order to observe the anomaly in the heat capacity data around in the system, the transition around should occur in a narrow temperature interval. 相似文献

The electronic and magnetic properties of Cu-doped perovskite La0.7Ca0.3Mn1−xCuxO3 obtained by doping Cu on its Mn sites have been studied. The perovskite structure was found to remain intact up to the highest doping level of x=0.20. At low Cu concentration (x=0.05) the temperature-dependence of resistivity of the material exhibited up to two peaks corresponding to the magnetic transitions from the PM to the FM phase, and from the FM to the AFM phase. In general, the doping level was found to suppress the ferromagnetic ordering of the material, increase its resistivity, and produce large values of magnetoresistance near the resistivity peak. These results were explained as due to the formation of the antiferromagnetic phase. 相似文献

The ablation process of La0.5Sr0.5CoO3 by a spatial uniform 248 nm excimer laser beam has been characterized. Ablation rates, changes in the target surface morphology and composition have been studied as a function of the laser fluence. The dependence of the ablation rate on the laser fluence has been explained by a model based on plasma absorption. The threshold fluence for complete dissociation of the surface has been determined and is found equal to 0.7 J/cm2. Above this threshold, a steady-state target surface condition is obtained within 30 pulses. Below the threshold fluence, CoO nuclei form, which have a pronounced effect on the target composition and morphology. In addition, ellipsometric and reflectance spectra have been measured in the photon energy range of 1.8 to 5.0 eV. 相似文献

The magnetic properties of Ca-doped Nd0.5Sr0.5MnO3 have been studied by electron spin resonance (ESR) and dc magnetization measurements. The antiferromagnetic order and charge order are found to occur separately at TN=200 K and Tco=150 K, respectively. Compared to the undoped Nd0.5Sr0.5MnO3, the ferromagnetic correlations are suppressed by doping of the small Ca2+ ion. In addition, the antiferromagnetic transition temperature is enhanced to 200 K, which can be explained by an increase of superexchange interaction between Mn3+ and Mn4+ ions as their distance decreases. 相似文献

The transverse laser induced thermoelectric voltage effect has been investigated in tilted La0.5Sr0.5CoO3 thin films grown on vicinal cut LaAlO3 (1 0 0) substrates when films are irradiated by pulse laser at room temperature. The detected voltage signals are demonstrated to originate from the transverse Seebeck effect as the linear dependence of voltage on tilted angle in the range of small tilted angle. The Seebeck coefficient anisotropy ΔS of 0.03 μV/K at room temperature is calculated and its distorted cubic structure is thought to be responsible for this. Films grown on a series of substrates with different tilted angles show the optimum angle of 19.8° for the maximum voltage. Film thickness dependence of voltage has also been studied. 相似文献

The electronic structure and magnetic properties of new layered oxyselenide compounds La2O3Fe2Se2 and La2O3Co2Se2 are studied by first-principles calculations. Our results indicate that both compounds are Mott-insulators with orbital ordering. The ground states of both compounds are the checkerboard antiferromagnetic states, which are different from the iron pnictide superconductors, although their structures are similar to those of the Fe-As-based superconductors. 相似文献

用固相反应法制备了La0.67Sr0.08Na0.25MnO3样品.通过磁化强度-温度(M-T)曲线、电阻率-温度(ρ-T)曲线以及ρ-T拟合曲线研究了样品的输运性质及庞磁电阻(colossal magnetoresistance,CMR)效应.结果表明,ρ-T曲线和磁电阻-温度(MR-T)曲线均出现双峰现象;高温峰是伴随顺磁-铁磁(PM-FM)相变出现绝缘体-金属(I-M)相变,低温峰是颗粒界面效应;两个绝缘相输运机理不同:较低温度下(248K<T<274K),ρ(T)符合极化子的可变程跃迁模型,而在更高温区(330K<T<374K),ρ(T)符合极化子近邻跃迁模型;两个类金属相输运机理也不同:在低温区(67K<T<186K),满足ρ-T2.5关系,输运机理是自旋波散射和电-磁子散射作用,而在高温区(292K<T<304K),满足ρ-T2关系,输运机理是单磁子散射作用.

Strained epitaxial La0.5Sr0.5CoO3 films are grown on LaAlO3 substrate. Structural, electrical, and magnetic measurements were carried out. Out of plane lattice parameter of the film undergoes compressive strain and the coercivity is enhanced. The zero field cooled (ZFC) magnetization curve for a field applied parallel to the film plane shows a jump, which suggests a spin reorientation transition (SRT), while ZFC magnetization for a field applied perpendicular to the film plane is featureless. This jump in magnetization is shifted to higher temperatures when the magnetic field is reduced. The SRT is attributed to the strain in the film. 相似文献

通过实验研究了La07-xDyxSr03MnO3(x=000,030,040,050,060,070)体系的M_T曲线,M_H曲线,ρ_T曲线和MR_T曲线. 实验结果表明:随着Dy掺杂的增加,体系从长程铁磁有序向自旋团簇玻璃态、反铁磁及 亚铁磁状态转变. x=030样品的M_T曲线上在TN附近出现磁化强度尖峰, x=040时尖峰消失. 对x=050样品,ZFC的M_T曲线随温度增加出现一个谷,随 后在TN处出现峰;而FC的M_T曲线在低温下呈现负磁矩. 对x=060和070 样品,不论FC还是ZFC的M_T曲线都类似于x=050的ZFC的M_T曲线. 高掺杂时的输 运性质在其磁背景下发生异常. 这些奇异现象用Nel的双格子模型并联合M_H回滞曲线 给予很好地解释.

We have used electron spectroscopies to investigate the electronic structure of the double perovskite Sr2FeMoO6. The valence-band photoemission spectra present a well-defined cut-off at the Fermi level, indicative of the metallic character of the material. The O 1s X-ray absorption spectrum presents three peaks, which are in good correspondence with the main structures in the unoccupied density-of-states of DF-LDA calculations. The electron energy-loss spectra present two structures which are also interpreted in terms of transitions between the bands obtained in the DF-LDA calculations. 相似文献

Polycrystalline perovskite cobalt oxide Eu0.5Sr0.5CoO3 was prepared by the conventional solid-state reaction method. X-ray powder patterns indicated the prepared samples are pure, cubic perovskite structure (Pm3?m), and with no evidence of any secondary phases. The dc magnetization and ac susceptibility measurements were carried out to investigate the magnetic properties of the sample, and which indicated that cluster-glasses properties are suppressed with the increasing of the coercive field. We denied the possibility of spin-glasses and the existence of the Hopkinson effect in Eu0.5Sr0.5CoO3 through the temperature-dependent ac susceptibility measurements, and explained the magnetic behavior of Eu0.5Sr0.5CoO3 with the competition between magnetic anisotropy and the external magnetic field. 相似文献

Single-phase polycrystalline samples of La0.7Sr0.3Mn1-xCrxO3 with nominal composition of x=0.00, 0.20, 0.40 and 0.50 were prepared by a conventional solid-state reaction method in air. Investigations of magnetization were carried out in the temperature range 5-400 K and magnetic field range 0-8 T. It was found that the Curie temperature TC decreases with increasing x and the maximum magnetic entropy change (−ΔSM) for x=0.20 is ∼1.203 and ∼2.653 J/kg K, respectively for 2 and 6 T magnetic field near the temperature of 280 K. 相似文献

The data on the resistance and magnetoresistance (MR) as well as measurements of the linear and nonlinear susceptibilities are presented for a Nd0.75Ba0.25MnO3 single crystal with the Curie temperature TC≈129 K. Although this compound remains insulating in the ferromagnetic state, its resistance has an anomaly near TC and it reveals the colossal magnetoresistance. The data on the magnetic response are well described by the dynamic scaling theory for 3D isotropic ferromagnets in the paramagnetic critical region at τ>τ*≈0.11, τ=(T−TC)/TC. Below τ* an anomalous critical behavior is found that suggests the coexistence of two magnetic phases. This behavior is discussed in terms of a phase separation which can occur in the moderately doped manganites exhibiting an orbital ordering. 相似文献
