Measurements on the superconducting critical temperature Tc and critical field, Hc, of ZnCr and ZnMn alloys, down to 0.037°K are presented.The variation of Tc with increasing concentration depends strongly on Tcp/θ, with θ a characteristic temperature, while effects of Hc are similar to previously studied alloys.  相似文献

We have measured the production of direct photons, π0's, and η's in pp and pp collisions at √s=53 GeV in the range 2≈pT≈6 GeV/c for the central rapidity region |y| 0.4. No statistically significant difference between pp? and pp interactions is observed.  相似文献

The two-point correlation function ? (q, ξ) is calculated in the critical region of momentum space q in terms of a suitable correlation lenght ξ, by means of perturbation expansion to order 1/n, for an n-vector system with long-range interactions decaying as |R/a|?(d + σ), for |R/a| a? 1, where a is the spacing on a d-dimensional lattice, σ < d < 2σ and 0 < σ ? 2 ? ηSR. The calculations are done in zero field for T ? Tc. Explicit expansions for long-range propagators are developed for σ « 1 and for the neighborhood of σ ? 2 ? ηSR, in terms of which a universal, cut-off independent scaling function is obtained over the whole range of x = |q| ξ, and it is shown that the amplitude of the correlation-length dependence of the susceptibility becomes a universal parameter. Both the exponents and the coefficients of the expansion for fixed q as (T ? Tc)Tc→0 are calculated explicitly. The former are shown to require the validity of the operator-product expansion and explicit logarithmic correction terms are obtained for d = d1 = 3σ/2. For these and other dimensionalities, the coefficients are shown to be finite functions of d and σ. The correction to the Ornstein-Zernike form is given explicitly, with non-integer powers of x that have finite coefficients.  相似文献

AC susceptibility, magnetization and electrical resistivity around the Curie temperature (Tc) were measured for Fe15Ni65B18Si2 glass. The results yield Tc = (307.6±0.1) K and the following critical exponents γ = 1.50±0.03, β = 0.375±0.01, δ = 5.1±0.1 andα = -0.29±0.05. These values were obtained in the reduced temperature interval 1×10-3 ?|T?Tc|Tc?5 ×10-2. In spite of the fact that these values for the critical exponents were obtained from different measurements they obey the equality relations γ = β(δ?1) and γ+2β+α = 2. Reduced magnetisation and field follow a magnetic equation of state derived for a second-order phase transition over a wide temperature range. This set of critical exponents is compared with those derived from the Heisenberg model as well as with the usual ones for a pure crystalline ferromagnets. The comparison shows that the values of |α| and γ, for our alloy, are considerably larger than those from the model and the usual crystalline ones. A similar difference is also observed in some other amorphous and dilute crystalline ferromagnets and is probably due to magnetic inhomogeneities.  相似文献

We report superconducting measurements on NbN film (d = 820 A?) obtained by sputtering characterized by a columnar structure (grain size ? 120 Å). At the largest temperatures, the paraconductivity is tri-dimensional and of the Azlamasov-Larkin form. Near Tc it becomes bi-dimensional when 2ξ(T) is larger than the width of the sample. Below Tc, the behavior of the resistance is described in terms of phase-locking transition. The values of the corresponding critical exponents are discussed.  相似文献

Strutinsky calculations are used to investigate the shape and fission stability of rotating nuclei at finite temperature. Pairing correlations are described within a modified BCS approach which allows for the inclusion of both thermal and rotational degrees of freedom. Numerical results are discussed for the case of the deformed nucleus 240Pu up to angular momentum I = 40h?. The critical temperature T which characterizes the collapse of the pairing correlations is found to be of the order of Tc ≈ 0.40 MeV, for I = 0.  相似文献

The properties of the diffractively excited system observed at low missing mass in the inclusive pp → pX reaction at 303 GeVc are presented. For diffraction excitation with |x| > 0.9, the cross section, σD=(5.6±0.8) mb, the mean charged multiplicity depends on the mass of the diffractive system approximately at 〈nc〉 ≈ 0.6Mx + 2, and the slope of the momentum transfer distribution with |t| < 0.5 GeV2 is 7.5±0.8 GeV?2.  相似文献

The forced volume magnetostriction has been measured as a function of composition and temperature in amorphous (Fe1?xCox)90Zr10 alloys. The maximum value of δωδH (T = 0 K), equal to 285 × 10-10 Oe-1, has been observed for Fe90Zr10 alloys. The effect of pressure on the magnetization σ0 at T = 0 K was calculated from δωδH data. The pressure dependence of the Curie temperature Tc and σ0 behaves in a similar way as those observed for crystalline NiPd and NiRh alloys.  相似文献

Amorphous Fe40Ni40B20 (VITROVAC 0040) alloy has been investigated using 57Fe Mössbauer Spectroscopy. The Curie temperature Tc is found to be well defined and is 695 ± 1 K. The quadrupole splitting just above Tc is 0.64 mm sec?1. The crystallization temperature is 698 ± 2 K, close to but definitely above Tc. The average hyperfine field Heff(T) of the glassy state shows a temperature dependence of Heff(0)[1 ? B32(T/Tc)32 ? C52(T/Tc)52 ? …] indicative of the existence of spin wave excitations. The values of B32 and C52 are found to be 0.40 and 0.06, respectively, for T/Tc ? 0.72. At temperatures close to Tc, Heff(T) varies as (1 ? T/Tc)β where β is one of the critical exponents and its value is found to be 0.29 ± 0.02.  相似文献

We report the evidence for a narrow charged peak (5.5 s.d.), which we suggest calling the I, in the 6-prong-V0 topology of pp interactions at 12 GeV/c. The equation of state obtained earlier /6/ for 3-dimensional Ising ferromagnets in the first order in1z (z is the number of the nearest neighbours) is generalized with regard to the classical D-component vector model. The results obtained are valid in a wide temperature range |τ|?[z2(D+2)]?1 (τ=(Tc-T)/Tc) and become exact in the limit D → ∞.  相似文献

The parallel magnetic susceptibility χ of a uniaxial ferromagnet ErCl3·6H2O has been measured between 0.3 and 4.2K and specially near Tc = 0.353 K. The predominant contribution to the Curie-Weiss temperature is due to the dipolar interactions. χ is proportional to ? with ? =TTc?1 in the range 10?3 < ? < 5 × 10?2. The γ value, γ = 1.01 ±0.03 is consistent with the theoretical prediction for a uniaxial dipolar ferromagnet.  相似文献

Measurements have been performed on production of particles with mass 1.5 GeV/c2 and charge ? 23 for θlab = 62.5° and s = 53 GeV. At pT = 0.7 GeV/c the relative rate of production of antideuterons to π? is (5 ± 1) × 10?5. The deuteron to antideuteron ratio is 3.7 ± 1.2. No new stable particle has been amongst 0.7 × 108 charged particles entering our detector.  相似文献

The one-dimensional anisotropic XY model with antisymmetric nearest-neighbour interactions (Dzyaloshinsky interactions) in the presence of a magnetic field B in the z direction is investigated. Special attention is given to the critical behaviour of the system. In the ground state, the susceptibility χzz has a logarithmic singularity as B → 1 provided that the strength Δ of the Dzyaloshinsky interaction obeys the inequality |Δ| ≤ |γ|, where γ is the anisotropy parameter. However, if |Δ| #62; |γ|, χzz diverges with a power -12 singularity as B ↑ (1 + Δ2 - γ2)12. The specific heat is studied for low temperatures. Furthermore for a few special values of γ and B the static correlation functions 〈SαjSβk〉 are evaluated in the low-temperature limit, for α, β = x, y, z and |j - k| = 1, 2. Finally we consider the chain with Dzyaloshinsky interactions only.  相似文献

Quark masses     
In quark gluon theory with very small bare masses, -ψMψ, spontaneous breakdown of chiral symmetry generates sizable masses Mu, Md, Ms, … We find (Mu + Md) /2 ≈ mp/ √6 ≈ 312 MeV, and Ms ≈ 432 MeV. Scalar densities have well determined non-zero vaccum expectations 〈0|ua|0〉 ≡ 〈0|ψ(x) (λa/2)ψ(x)/0〉 ≈ ?π2Ma, i.e〈0? uo/vb0〉 ≈ 8 × 10?3 (GeV)3 at an SU(3) breaking of the vacuum c′ ≡ 〈0|u8|〉/〈0|uo|0〉 ≈ ? 16%  相似文献

We investigate the properties of a quasi-unidimensional system which exhibits Peierls instability at Tc(μ), where μ is the Fermi energy as measured from the middle of the conduction band. Tc(μ) decreases as 6μ6 increases. The phonon-drag diagrams contribute to fluctuation conductivity, which is proportional to (T ? Tc)?12, if |μ| > 1.056 Tc(0). The Kohn Anomalies do not occur at 2kF unless μ = 0 or |μ| ? T.  相似文献

Based on a sample of about 3500 events, we have measured the total and differential cross sections of ppnn in the 700–760 MeV/c incident momentum region. It is found that σCE = 10.7 ± 0.2 mb at the average momentum of 730 MeV/c. The differential angular distribution is characterised by a sharp peak and a dip in the forward direction followed by a secondary maximum. The position of the dip corresponds to |t| ≈ mπ2. These results are compared with the predictions of the model of Bryan-Phillips. On the other hand, this dip-bump structure can be well understood on a simple picture involving a π exchange and a constant background (for |t| ? 3 mπ2).  相似文献

The Glauber dynamics of an Ising spin glass with infinite-range interactions and additional static field, h, is investigated near the freezing temperature, Tf. We obtain critical slowing down at and below the de Almeida-Thouless instability line, hc(T), to order (1?T/Tf)3 with algebraic decay of the spin correlations ~t, where ν=12 at Tf and ν≤12 for T<Tf.  相似文献

Room temperature plots of the electrical potential measured on the surfaces of TTF-TCNQ crystals which carry current are presented. It is shown that silver paint contacts behave electrically as though thin resistive layers (? 20 mhosmm2 conductance) were inserted between the crystal and the current-injecting electrodes. The contact resistance is microscopically nonuniform, and can lead to erroneous results in 4-probe conductivity measurements. By measurement and calculation (using the method of image charges) it is demonstrated that measurement techniques which introduce nonuniform current densities into highly anisotropic crystals are subject to error unless the contacts are kept very small. The principal conductivities of TTF-TCNQ at room temperature were found to be: σb = 440 ± 15, σc ≈ 13, σa, = 1.30 ± 0.05 Ω?1 cm?1, independent of contact effects.  相似文献
