The microscopic structure of black holes remains a challenging subject. In this paper, based on the well-accepted fact that black holes can be mapped to thermodynamic systems, we make a preliminary exploration of the microscopic structure of the thermodynamically stable Schwarzschild anti-de-Sitter(SAdS) black hole. In accordance with the number density and thermodynamic scalar curvature, we give the interaction potential among the molecules of thermodynamically stable SAdS black holes and analyze its effectiveness. Moreover, we derive the thermo-correction to the equation of state for such black holes that arises from interactions among black-hole molecules using virial coefficients.  相似文献

We compute the mass and temperature of third order Lovelock black holes with negative Gauss-Bonnet coefficient α2<0 in anti-de Sitter space and perform the stability analysis of topological black holes. When k=-1, the third order Lovelock black holes are thermodynamically stable for the whole range r+. When k=1, we found that the black hole has an intermediate unstable phase for D=7. In eight dimensional spacetimes, however, a new phase of thermodynamically unstable small black holes appears if the coefficient \tilde{\alpha} is under a critical value.For D≧ 9, black holes have similar the distributions of thermodynamically stable regions to the case where the coefficient \tilde{\alpha} is under a critical value for D=8. It is worth to mention that all the thermodynamic and conserved quantities of the black holes with flat horizon do not depend on the Lovelock coefficients and are the same as those of black holes in general gravity.  相似文献

It is shown that there exist both dynamically stable and unstable dilute-gas Bose–Einstein condensates that, in the hydrodynamic limit, exhibit a behavior completely analogous to that of gravitational black holes. The dynamical instabilities involve creation of quasiparticle pairs in positive and negative energy states. We illustrate these features in two qualitatively different one-dimensional models. We have also simulated the creation of a stable sonic black hole by solving the Gross–Pitaevskii equation numerically for a condensate subject to a trapping potential that is adiabatically deformed. A sonic black hole could in this way be created experimentally with state-of-the-art or planned technology.  相似文献

We study the phenomenology of TeV-scale black holes predicted in theories with large extra dimensions, under the further assumption that they are absolutely stable. Our goal is to present an exhaustive analysis of safety of the proposed 100 TeV collider, as it was done in the case of the LHC. We consider the theories with different number of extra dimensions and identify those for which a possible accretion to macroscopic size would have timescales shorter than the lifetime of the Solar system. We calculate the cross sections of the black hole production at the proposed 100 TeV collider, the fraction of the black holes trapped inside the Earth and the resulting rate of capture inside the Earth via an improved method. We study the astrophysical consequences of stable micro black holes existence, in particular its influence on the stability of white dwarfs and neutron stars. We obtain constraints for the previously unexplored range of higher-dimensional Planck mass values. Several astrophysical scenarios of the micro black hole production, which were not considered before, are taken into account. Finally, using the astrophysical constraints we consider the implications for future 100 TeV terrestrial experiments. We exclude the possibility of the charged stable micro black holes production.  相似文献

We construct generalizations of the Kerr black holes by including higher-curvature corrections in the form of the Gauss-Bonnet density coupled to the dilaton. We show that the domain of existence of these Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet-dilaton (EGBD) black holes is bounded by the Kerr black holes, the critical EGBD black holes, and the singular extremal EGBD solutions. The angular momentum of the EGBD black holes can exceed the Kerr bound. The EGBD black holes satisfy a generalized Smarr relation. We also compare their innermost stable circular orbits with those of the Kerr black holes and show the existence of differences which might be observable in astrophysical systems.  相似文献

From solving the equations of the motion for a system of Einstein gravity coupled to a non-linear electromagnetic field in the dS spacetime with two integral constants, we derived a static and spherical symmetric non-linear magnetic-charged black hole. It is indicated that this black hole solution behaves like a dS geometry in the short-distance regime. And, thus this black hole is regular. The structure of the black hole horizons is studied in detail. Also, we investigated the thermodynamics and the thermal phase transition of the black hole in both the local and global views. By observing the discontinuous change of the specific heat sign and the swallowtail structure of the free energy, we showed that the black hole can undergo a thermal phase transition between a thermodynamically unstable phase and a thermodynamically stable phase.  相似文献

In this study, we obtained an exact high dimensional anti-de Sitter (AdS) black hole solution in Einstein-bumblebee gravity theory. This AdS-like black hole can only exist with a linear functional potential of the bumblebee field. We found that the Smarr formula and the first law of black hole thermodynamics can still be constructed in this Lorentz symmetry breaking black hole spacetime, but the conceptions of the black hole horizon area/entropy and the volume inside the horizon should be renewed due to its anisotropy. We also found that two types of phase transition exist: small-large black hole phase transition and Hawking-Page phase transition, like those of the Schwarzschild AdS black hole. After Lorentz symmetry breaking, the black hole mass at the divergent point of heat capacity becomes small, and the Gibbs free energy of the meta-stable large black hole is also smaller, showing that the large stable black hole can be more easily formed.  相似文献

We show that the strong gravity theory of Salam et al. places severe restrictions on black hole evaporation. Two major implications are that: mini black holes (down to masses ~ 10?16 kg) would be stable in the present epoch; and that some suggested mini black hole mechanisms to explain certain astrophysical phenomena would not work. The first result implies that f-gravity appears to make black holes much safer by removing the possibility of extremely violent black hole explosions suggested by Hawking.  相似文献

Recently it is shown that the Bekenstein–Hawking entropy for black holes receives logarithmic corrections due to thermodynamic fluctuations. Schwarzschild black hole which possesses a negative specific heat is thermodynamically unstable, so the entropy corrections cannot be obtained directly. In this Letter, Schwarzschild black hole will be put in the center of a spherical cavity of finite radius to achieve equilibrium with surroundings, so that a thermodynamically stable solution is obtained based on a uniformly spaced area spectrum approach. Our conclusion show that there are two correction terms for Schwarzschild black holes. The sign of the second correction term depends on the size of the cavity.  相似文献

We present a class of regular black holes with cosmological constant A in nonlinear electrodynamics. Instead of usual singularity behind black hole horizon, all fields and curvature invariants are regular everywhere for the regular black holes. Through gauge invariant approach, the linearly dynamical stability of the regular black hole is studied. In odd-parity sector, we find that the A term does not appear in the master equations of perturbations, which shows that the regular black hole is stable under odd-parity perturbations. On the other hand, for the even-parity sector, the master equations are more complicated than the case without the cosmological constant. We obtain the sufficient conditions for stability of the regular black hole. We also investigate the thermodynamic properties of the regular black hole. and find that those thermodynamic quantities do not satisfy the differential form of first law of black hole thermodynamics. The reason for violating the first law is revealed.  相似文献

We consider the evolution of a black hole involving an f(R) global monopole based on the Extended Uncertainty Principle (EUP). The black hole evolutions refer to the instability due to the Parikh-Kraus-Wilczeck tunneling radiation or fragmentation. It is found that the EUP corrections make the entropy difference larger to encourage the black hole to radiate more significantly. We also show that the appearance of the EUP effects results in the black hole's division. The influence from the global monopole and the revision of general relativity can also adjust the black hole evolution simultaneously but cannot change the final result that the black hole will not be stable because of the EUP's effects.  相似文献

The possibility of stable or quasi-stable Planck mass black hole remnants as solution to the black hole information paradox is commonly believed phenomenologically unacceptable. Since we need a black hole remnant for every possible initial state,the number of remnants is expected to be infinite and that would lead to remnant pair production in any physical process with a total available energy roughly exceeding the Planck mass. In this note I point out that a positive cosmological constant of the Universe would naturally lead to an upper bound on the numberof possible remnants.  相似文献

We study the thermodynamics of the KS black hole which is an asymptotically flat solution of the HL gravity. In particular, we introduce a cavity to describe the thermodynamics at a finite isothermal surface on general ground and to get a well-defined thermodynamics. We show that there exists a locally stable small black hole which tunnels to the hot flat space below the critical temperature and to the large black hole above the critical temperature. Moreover, it turns out that the remnant decays into the vacuum through a quantum tunneling.  相似文献
