In this paper we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions in order that a linear operator, acting in spaces of measurable functions, should admit an integral representation. We give here the fundamental results. Let (Ti, i) (i=1,2) be spaces of finite measure, and let (T,) be the product of these spaces. Let E be an ideal in the space S(T1, 1) of measurable functions (i.e., from |e1||e2|, e1 S (T1, 1), e2E it follows that e1E). THEOREM 2. Let U be a linear operator from E into S(T2, 2). The following statements are equivalent: 1) there exists a-measurable kernel K(t,S) such that (Ue)(S)=K(t,S) e(t)d(t) (eE); 2) if 0enE (n=1,2,...) and en0 in measure, then (Uen)(S) 0 2 a.e. Let be an Euclidean space; Y n , Z, U random vectors in ; h n , g n affine transformations and let þ be a subgroup of the group G of all the in vertible affine transformations, closed relative to G. Suppose that gn and where Z is nonsingular. The behaviour of n = h n g n –1 as n is discussed first. The results are used then to prove that if for all t(0, ), where h n þ and Z 1 is nonsingular and nonsymmetric with respect to þ then H, for all t(0,) and is a continuous homomorphism of the multiplicative group of (0, ) into þ. This paper deals with the ideals of identities of certain associative algebras over a field F of characteristic zero. On the basis of arithmetic considerations, a Fourier expansion for the leading Eisenstein series is obtained for the principal homogeneous space of the group SL(3,), which is automorphic with respect to the discrete group SL(3,). The main result is Theorem 1 in which an explicit form of the Fourier expansion is presented which generalizes the well-known formula of Selberg and Chowla. From this, in particular, there follows a proof of the analytic continuation and the functional equations for this Eisentein series which is independent of the work of Langlands. The arithmetic coefficients in the Fourier expansion which generalize the number-theoretic functions s(n)=d¦n,d>od5 make it possible to relate the Eisenstein series considered to the problem of finding the asymptotics as of the sum n3(n)3(n+), where 3(n) is the number of solutions of the equation d1d2d3=n in natural numbers. Part II of the present work will be devoted to this binary problem. We pursue the fine analysis of the quasi-orderings and on the power set of a quasi-ordering (Q,). We set X Y if every xX is majorized in by some yY, and X Y if every yY is minorized in by some xX. We show that both these quasi-orderings are -wqo if and only if the original quasi-ordering is ( )-wqo. Prepositional logics with many modalites, characterized by two-dimensional Kripke models, are investigated. The general problem can be formulated as follows: from two modal logics describing certain classes of Kripke modal lattices construct a logic describing all products of Kripke lattices from these classes. For a large number of cases such a logic is obtained by joining to the original logics an axiom of the form ijp jip and ijp jjp. The relation is studied between the distribution of the zeros and the order of growth of entire analytic functions for which ¦p(z)¦ (i Imz) for Imz 0, in particular, of entire characteristic functions of probability distributions. We study complexes 2 and 3 with symmetrically situated fourfold inflection centers, two or three of which respectively are infinitely distant on each ray. The class of complexes 3 turns out to be known. The complex 2 is new and may involve three arbitrary functions of a single argument.
