The design of complex heterostructured electrode materials that deliver superior electrochemical performances to their individual counterparts has stimulated intensive research on configuring supercapacitors with high energy and power densities. Herein we fabricate hierarchical tectorum‐like α‐Fe2O3/polypyrrole (PPy) nanoarrays (T‐Fe2O3/PPy NAs). The 3D, and interconnected T‐Fe2O3/PPy NAs are successfully grown on conductive carbon cloth through an easy self‐sacrificing template and in situ vapor‐phase polymerization route under mild conditions. The electrode made of the T‐Fe2O3/PPy NAs exhibits a high areal capacitance of 382.4 mF cm−2 at a current density of 0.5 mA cm−2 and excellent reversibility. The solid‐state asymmetric supercapacitor consisting of T‐Fe2O3/PPy NAs and MnO2 electrodes achieves a high energy density of 0.22 mWh cm−3 at a power density of 165.6 mW cm−3.  相似文献

Single-atom catalysts (SACs) show great promise for electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (CRR), but the low density of active sites and the poor electrical conduction and mass transport of the single-atom electrode greatly limit their performance. Herein, we prepared a nickel single-atom electrode consisting of isolated, high-density and low-valent nickel(I) sites anchored on a self-standing N-doped carbon nanotube array with nickel–copper alloy encapsulation on a carbon-fiber paper. The combination of single-atom nickel(I) sites and self-standing array structure gives rise to an excellent electrocatalytic CO2 reduction performance. The introduction of copper tunes the d-band electron configuration and enhances the adsorption of hydrogen, which impedes the hydrogen evolution reaction. The single-nickel-atom electrode exhibits a specific current density of −32.87 mA cm−2 and turnover frequency of 1962 h−1 at a mild overpotential of 620 mV for CO formation with 97 % Faradic efficiency.  相似文献

Hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs) are ordered supramolecular solid structures, however, nothing much explored as centimetre-scale self-standing films. The fabrication of such crystals comprising self-supported films is challenging due to the limited flexibility and interaction of the crystals, and therefore studies on two-dimensional macrostructures of HOFs are limited to external supports. Herein, we introduce a novel chemical gradient strategy to fabricate a crystal-deposited HOF film on an in situ-formed covalent organic polymer film (Tam-Bdca-CGHOF). The fabricated film showed versatility in chemical bonding along its thickness from covalent to hydrogen-bonded network. The kinetic-controlled Tam-Bdca-CGHOF showed enhanced proton conductivity (8.3×10−5 S cm−1) compared to its rapid kinetic analogue, Tam-Bdca-COP (2.1×10−5 S cm−1), which signifies the advantage of bonding-engineering in the same system.  相似文献

Solid-state lithium batteries are promising and safe energy storage devices for mobile electronics and electric vehicles. In this work, we report a facile in situ polymerization of 1,3-dioxolane electrolytes to fabricate integrated solid-state lithium batteries. The in situ polymerization and formation of solid-state dioxolane electrolytes on interconnected carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and active materials is the key to realizing a high-performance battery with excellent interfacial contact among CNTs, active materials and electrolytes. Therefore, the electrodes could be tightly integrated into batteries through the CNTs and electrolyte. Electrons/ions enable full access to active materials in the whole electrode. Electrodes with a low resistance of 4.5 Ω □−1 and high lithium-ion diffusion efficiency of 2.5×10−11 cm2 s−1 can significantly improve the electrochemical kinetics. Subsequently, the batteries demonstrated high energy density, amazing charge/discharge rate and long cycle life.  相似文献

When homogeneously grafted as thin films on small band-gap inorganic semiconductors (n-GaAs, n-CdS), organic conjugated polymers such as poly-methylthiophene afford interesting new structures. In their doped conducting state, these polymer films bring a long-term protection of these semiconductors against their photocorrosion in aqueous medium, and the subsequent inclusion of metallic aggregates in these films allows increased catalytic activity for achieving photoelectrochemical reactions. In their undoped semiconducting state, they lead to the realization of “organic-on-inorganic” p-n junctions which show very low leakage current and high allowed current density. As photovoltaic cell, an energy conversion efficiency of 17.5% has been obtained under 100 mW.cm−2 irradiation with a p-PMeT/n-GaAs cell. The larger number of work already devoted to organic conjugated polymers such as polyacetylene, polypyrrole, polythiophene, has shown that these compounds can be switched between a doped oxidized state, with a nearly metallic conductivity, σ ∼ 102-103S.cm−1, and an undoped neutral state which presents semiconducting properties, σ ∼ 10−7 -10−9 S. cm−1. Either as free standing film or grafted on an electrode, these polymers exhibit interesting organic electrode properties which have been widely characterized. On the other hand much less is known on their behavior when deposited on inorganic semiconductors. In the following, this area will be discussed on two examples, the protection of narrow band-gap semiconductors against their photo-degradation in aqueous solution, and the new junction properties presented by “organic-on-inorganic” electronic devices.  相似文献

Developing high-efficiency, cost-effective, and durable electrodes is significant for electrochemical capacitors and electrocatalysis. Herein, a 3D bifunctional electrode consisting of nickel hydroxide nanosheets@nickel sulfide nanocubes arrays on Ni foam (Ni(OH)2@Ni3S2/NF) obtained from a Prussian blue analogue-based precursor is reported. The 3D higher-order porous structure and synergistic effect of different compositions endow the electrode with large specific surface area, facile ion/electron transport path, and improved conductivity. As a result, the Ni(OH)2@Ni3S2/NF electrode exhibits a high specific capacity of 211 mA h g−1 at a current density of 1 A g−1 and 73 % capacity retention after 5000 cycles at 5 A g−1. Moreover, the Ni(OH)2@Ni3S2/NF electrode has superior electrocatalytic activity for the hydrogen evolution reaction with low overpotentials of 140 and 210 mV at current densities of 10 and 100 mA cm−2, respectively. The synthetic strategy for the unique higher-order porous structure can be extended to fabricate other composite materials for energy storage and conversion.  相似文献

A sensitive electrochemical sensor for Cr(VI) detection based on N-doped carbon coated TiC nanofiber arrays (TiC@CNx NFAs) is reported. The abundant electrocatalytic active sites contained CNx shell, highly conducting TiC core, and good electrical contact between the TiC@CNx and underlying Ti alloy endow this electrode with the excellent electrochemical sensing properties. The developed electrochemical sensor shows remarkable determination activity towards Cr(VI) with a high sensitivity of 0.88 μA μM−1 cm−2, a low detection limit of 4.0 nM (S/N=3), a wide linear range from 0.2 to 24.1 μM, good selectivity and anti-interference property.  相似文献

In this work, rapid, sensitive, practical, and economical strategy for non-enzymatic glucose sensor has been reported based on a modification of copper nanoparticles upon conducting polymer with high surface area (Cu@PCR). Firstly, PCR conducting polymer electrode (PCR) has been successfully fabricated by electrochemical polymerization of a specially synthesized and characterized star-shaped carbazole derivative. Then copper nanoparticles have been successfully electrodeposited on the PCR as a practical method with cyclic voltammetry. The morphologies of the synthesized materials have been characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) measurements. The Cu@PCR sensor platform has been displayed a synergistic effect of high catalytical properties of copper nanoparticles and high electroactive properties of PCR towards the glucose oxidation in alkaline medium. The Cu@PCR sensor platform has shown high sensitivity of 847 μAmM−1cm−2, good stability (10 weeks), a low detection limit of 0.043 μM, and a fast response of 3 s for the non-enzymatic electrochemical detection of glucose. This organic−inorganic hybrid composite sensor is a promising candidate for the fabrication of a highly sensitive and rapid glucose-sensing with the simple preparation procedure and use of a low-cost precursor.  相似文献

In this study, chemical reduced graphene‐silver nanoparticles hybrid (AgNPs @CR‐GO ) with close‐packed AgNPs structure was used as a conductive matrix to adsorb enzyme and facilitate the electron transfer between immobilized enzyme and electrode. A facile route to prepare AgNPs @CR‐GO was designed involving in β ‐cyclodextrin (β ‐CD ) as reducing and stabilizing agent. The morphologies of AgNPs were regulated and controlled by various experimental factors. To fabricate the bioelectrode, AgNPs @CR‐GO was modified on glassy carbon electrode followed by immobilization of glucose oxidase (GOx ) or laccase. It was demonstrated by electrochemical testing that the electrode with close‐packed AgNPs provided high GOx loading (Γ =4.80 × 10−10 mol•cm−2) and fast electron transfer rate (k s=5.76 s−1). By employing GOx based‐electrode as anode and laccase based‐electrode as cathode, the assembled enzymatic biofuel cell exhibited a maximum power density of 77.437 μW •cm−2 and an open‐circuit voltage of 0.705 V.  相似文献

To avoid an enormous energy crisis in the not-too-distant future, it be emergent to establish high-performance energy storage devices such as supercapacitors. For this purpose, a three-dimensional (3D) heterostructure of Co3O4 and Co3S4 on nickel foam (NF) that is covered by reduced graphene oxide (rGO) has been prepared by following a facile multistep method. At first, rGO nanosheets are deposited on NF under mild hydrothermal conditions to increase the surface area. Subsequently, nanowalls of cobalt oxide are electro-deposited on rGO/Ni foam by applying cyclic-voltammetry (CV) under optimized conditions. Finally, for the synthesis of Co3O4@Co3S4 nanocomposite, the nanostructure of Co3S4 was fabricated from Co3O4 nanowalls on rGO/NF by following an ordinary hydrothermal process through the sulfurization for the electrochemical application. The samples are characterized by using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The obtained sample delivers a high capacitance of 13.34 F cm−2 (5651.24 F g−1) at a current density of 6 mA cm−2 compared to the Co3O4/rGO/NF electrode with a capacitance of 3.06 F cm−2 (1230.77 F g−1) at the same current density. The proposed electrode illustrates the superior electrochemical performance such as excellent specific energy density of 85.68 W h Kg−1, specific power density of 6048.03 W kg−1 and a superior cycling performance (86% after 1000 charge/discharge cycles at a scan rate of 5 mV s−1). Finally, by using Co3O4 @Co3S4/rGO/NF and the activated carbon-based electrode as positive and negative electrodes, respectively, an asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) device was assembled. The fabricated ASC provides an appropriate specific capacitance of 79.15 mF cm−2 at the applied current density of 1 mA cm−2, and delivered an energy density of 0.143 Wh kg−1 at the power density of 5.42 W kg−1.  相似文献

Flexible asymmetric supercapacitors are more appealing in flexible electronics because of high power density, wide cell voltage, and higher energy density than symmetric supercapacitors in aqueous electrolyte. In virtues of excellent conductivity, rich porous structure and interconnected honeycomb structure, three dimensional graphene aerogels show great potential as electrode in asymmetric supercapacitors. However, graphene aerogels are rarely used in flexible asymmetric supercapacitors because of easily re-stacking of graphene sheets, resulting in low electrochemical activity. Herein, flower-like hierarchical Mn3O4 and carbon nanohorns are incorporated into three dimensional graphene aerogels to restrain the stack of graphene sheets, and are applied as the positive and negative electrode for asymmetric supercapacitors devices, respectively. Besides, a strong chemical coupling between Mn3O4 and graphene via the C-O-Mn linkage is constructed and can provide a good electron-transport pathway during cycles. Consequently, the asymmetric supercapacitor device shows high rate cycle stability (87.8 % after 5000 cycles) and achieves a high energy density of 17.4 μWh cm−2 with power density of 14.1 mW cm−2 (156.7 mW cm−3) at 1.4 V.  相似文献

A new photoswitchable electrode triggered by a brief light signal was fabricated by depositing an azobenzene-containing copolymer on an indium tin oxide substrate decorated with gold nanoparticles. The polymer formed a compact, complete thin film on the electrode surface using the Langmuir–Schaefer technique and offered reversible and stable switching performance. The conductivity and hydrophilicity of the electrode changed under UV/visible light due to the photoisomerization of the azobenzene moieties in the polymer film, influencing electron transfer and mass transport at the electrode. The electrochemical characterization demonstrated that the electrode exhibited reversibly switchable electrochemical behavior. In its active state, the as-prepared electrode possessed efficient electrocatalytic capability towards uric acid oxidation with a maximum anodic current density of 0.97 mA·cm 2. The uric acid/air fuel cell assembled from the photo-triggered anode and a Pt/C-modified cathode operated with an open circuit voltage of 0.12 V and a maximum power density of 41.33 μW·cm 2. The cell exhibited reversible switching performance (four cycles) and high stability: after one month the power output was 94.2% of the original maximum value.  相似文献

This work reports the synthesis of novel poly(3′,4′‐bis(alkyloxy)terthiophene) derivatives (PTTOBu, PTTOHex, and PTTOOct) and their supercapacitor applications as redox‐active electrodes. The terthiophene‐based conducting polymers have been derivatized with different alkyl pendant groups (butyl‐, hexyl‐, and octyl‐) to explore the effect of alkyl chain length on the surface morphologies and pseudocapacitive properties. The electrochemical performance tests have revealed that the length of alkyl substituent created a remarkable impact over the surface morphologies and charge storage properties of polymer electrodes. PTTOBu, PTTOHex, and PTTOOct‐based electrodes have reached up to specific capacitances of 94.3, 227.3, and 443 F g−1 at 2.5 mA cm−2 constant current density, respectively, in a three‐electrode configuration. Besides, these redox‐active electrodes have delivered satisfactory energy densities of 13.5, 29.3, and 60.7 W h kg−1 and power densities of 0.98, 1, and 1.1 kW kg−1 with good capacitance retentions after 10,000 charge/discharge cycles in symmetric solid‐state micro‐supercapacitor devices. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We report a novel multicomponent mixed‐valence oxyhydroxide‐based electrode synthesized by electrochemical polarization of a de‐alloyed nanoporous NiCuMn alloy. The multicomponent oxyhydroxide has a high specific capacitance larger than 627 F cm?3 (1097±95 F g?1) at a current density of 0.25 A cm?3, originating from multiple redox reactions. More importantly, the oxyhydroxide electrode possesses an extraordinarily wide working‐potential window of 1.8 V in an aqueous electrolyte, which far exceeds the theoretically stable window of water. The realization of both high specific capacitance and high working‐potential windows gives rise to a high energy density, 51 mWh cm?3, of the multicomponent oxyhydroxide‐based supercapacitor for high‐energy and high‐power applications.  相似文献

In this study, we demonstrate that an Mn-doped ultrathin Ni-MOF nanosheet array on nickel foam (Mn0.1-Ni-MOF/NF) serves as a highly capacitive and stable supercapacitor positive electrode. The Mn0.1-Ni-MOF/NF shows an areal capacity of 6.48 C cm−2 (specific capacity C: 1178 C g−1) at 2 mA cm−2 in 6.0 m KOH, outperforming most reported MOF-based materials. More importantly, it possesses excellent cycle stability to maintain 80.6 % capacity after 5000 cycles. An asymmetric supercapacitor device utilizing Mn0.1-Ni-MOF/NF as the positive electrode and activated carbon as the negative electrode attains a high energy density of 39.6 Wh kg−1 at 143.8 Wkg−1 power density with a capacitance retention of 83.6 % after 5000 cycles.  相似文献

To endow all-solid-state asymmetric supercapacitors with high energy density, cycling stability, and flexibility, we design a binder-free supercapacitor electrode by in situ growth of well-distributed broccoli-like Ni0.75Mn0.25O/C solid solution arrays on a flexible and three-dimensional Ni current collector (3D-Ni). The electrode consists of a bottom layer of compressed but still porous Ni foam with excellent flexibility and high electrical conductivity, an intermediate layer of interconnected Ni nanoparticles providing a large specific surface area for loading of active substances, and a top layer of vertically aligned mesoporous nanosheets of a Ni0.75Mn0.25O/C solid solution. The resultant 3D-Ni/Ni0.75Mn0.25O/C cathode exhibits a specific capacitance of 1657.6 mF cm−2 at 1 mA cm−2 and shows no degradation of the capacitance after 10 000 cycles at 3 mA cm−2. The assembled 3D-Ni/Ni0.75Mn0.25O/C//activated carbon asymmetric supercapacitor has a high specific capacitance of 797.7 mF cm−2 at 2 mA cm−2 and an excellent cycling stability with 85.3 % of capacitance retention after 10 000 cycles at a current density of 3 mA cm−2. The energy density and power density of the asymmetric supercapacitor are up to 6.6 mW h cm−3 and 40.8 mW cm−3, respectively, indicating a fairly promising future of the flexible 3D-Ni/Ni0.75Mn0.25O/C electrode for efficient energy storage applications.  相似文献

Electrode materials for supercapacitors are at present commonly evaluated and selected by their mass specific capacitance (CM, F g−1). However, using only this parameter may be a misleading practice because the electrode capacitance also depends on kinetics, and may not increase simply by increasing material mass. It is therefore important to complement CM by the practically accessible electrode specific capacitance (CE, F cm−2) in material selection. Poly[3,4-ethylene-dioxythiophene] (PEDOT) has a mass specific capacitance lower than other common conducting polymers, e.g. polyaniline. However, as demonstrated in this communication, this polymer can be potentiostatically grown to very thick films (up to 0.5 mm) that were porous at both micro- and nanometer scales. Measured by both cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectrometry, these thick PEDOT films exhibited electrode specific capacitance (CE, F cm−2) increasing linearly with the film deposition charge, approaching 5 F cm−2, which is currently the highest amongst all reported materials.  相似文献

Carbon-based symmetric supercapacitors (SCs) are known for their high power density and long cyclability, making them an ideal candidate for power sources in new-generation electronic devices. To boost their electrochemical performances, deriving activated carbon doped with heteroatoms such as N, O, and S are highly desirable for increasing the specific capacitance. In this regard, activated carbon (AC) self-doped with heteroatoms is directly derived from bio-waste (lima-bean shell) using different KOH activation processes. The heteroatom-enriched AC synthesized using a pretreated carbon-to-KOH ratio of 1:2 (ONS@AC-2) shows excellent surface morphology with a large surface area of 1508 m2 g−1. As an SC electrode material, the presence of heteroatoms (N and S) reduces the interfacial charge-transfer resistance and increases the ion-accessible surface area, which inherently provides additional pseudocapacitance. The ONS@AC-2 electrode attains a maximum specific capacitance (Csp) of 342 F g−1 at a specific current of 1 Ag−1 in 1 m NaClO4 electrolyte at the wide potential window of 1.8 V. Moreover, as symmetric SCs the ONS@AC-2 electrode delivers a maximum specific capacitance (Csc) of 191 F g−1 with a maximum specific energy of 21.48 Wh kg−1 and high specific power of 14 000 W kg−1 and excellent retention of its initial capacitance (98 %) even after 10000 charge/discharge cycles. In addition, a flexible supercapacitor fabricated utilizing ONS@AC-2 electrodes and a LiCl/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-based polymer electrolyte shows a maximum Csc of 119 F g−1 with considerable specific energy and power.  相似文献

We have synthesized and characterized perovskite‐type SrCo0.9Nb0.1O3−δ (SCN) as a novel anion‐intercalated electrode material for supercapacitors in an aqueous KOH electrolyte, demonstrating a very high volumetric capacitance of about 2034.6 F cm−3 (and gravimetric capacitance of ca. 773.6 F g−1) at a current density of 0.5 A g−1 while maintaining excellent cycling stability with a capacity retention of 95.7 % after 3000 cycles. When coupled with an activated carbon (AC) electrode, the SCN/AC asymmetric supercapacitor delivered a specific energy density as high as 37.6 Wh kg−1 with robust long‐term stability.  相似文献
