The electromagnetoviscoelastic problem is solved for piecewise-homogeneous plates. The problem is reduced to solving a sequence of electromagnetoelastic problems with complex potentials. General representations of approximation functions for multiply connected domains and boundary conditions for their determination are given. An analytical solution of the problem for a plate with one inclusion and an approximate solution for a plate with a finite number of inclusions are obtained. The change in the electromagnetoelastic state is investigated numerically as a function of time, the properties of the plate and inclusion materials, and the distance between the inclusions.  相似文献

Semi-analytical solutions for bending and free vibration of composite laminated plates have been derived based on three-dimensional elasticity theory using a newly developed hybrid analysis, which perfectly combines the state space approach (SSA) and the technique of differential quadrature (DQ). The thickness direction of laminates is selected as the transfer direction in SSA, and the DQ technique is employed to discretize the in-plane domains. This actualizes the transformation of the original partial differential equations into a state equation consisting of first-order ordinary differential equations. In particular, the use of DQ technique makes ease of the treatment of various boundary conditions, which cannot be considered in the conventional exact SSA. To avoid numerical instabilities in the conventional transfer matrix method, artificial interfaces are introduced to divide each layer into several sub-layers to reduce the transfer distance and the joint coupling matrices are established according to the continuity conditions at actual and artificial interfaces to implement the global analysis. Comprehensive numerical examples are preformed to validate the present hybrid method. Effects of some parameters on mechanical properties of the laminates are discussed.  相似文献

In this study, we consider the general plane elasticity problem for non-homogeneous materials subjected to mechanical and thermal loads. The general equations are derived in xy coordinate system. It is shown that, if the non-homogeneity varies exponentially, then the governing equations are reduced to partial differential equations with constant coefficients. To illustrate the validity and usefulness of the formulation, problems involving both mechanical and thermal loads with the non-homogeneity varying in both directions are considered. As examples, infinite non-homogeneous beams subjected to axial load and bending moment are considered and the solutions obtained in closed form. Then an example illustrating the effect of temperature change is presented. Again a closed form solution is obtained for the stress distribution. Also for limiting values of the non-homogeneity parameter, extensive asymptotic analyses are presented. In addition two problems where the Young’s Modulus or the coefficient of thermal expansion coefficient varies in both directions are presented. From the examples solved, it is found that non-homogeneity affects the stress distribution significantly, and leads to counterintuitive results with serious implication to the study of fracture problems in functionally graded materials.  相似文献

The state equation for a static or dynamic thermal elastic problem of cylindrical orthotropic bodies is derived using the three-dimensional theory of elasticity. The governing equation for displacement components is obtained by series expansion, and for simplicity the case of an axisymmetric problem of transverse isotropic bodies is given. For illustration, an axisymmetric problem of a combined-cylinder made of two transverse isotropic materials is also presented. Three-dimensional elasticity solution for static analysis of functionally graded piezoelectric (FGP) annular plates with and without elastic foundations through using state-space based differential quadrature method (SSDQM) at different boundary conditions is presented in this paper. The material properties are assumed to have an exponent-law variation along the thickness. A semi-analytical approach which makes use of state-space method in thickness direction and one-dimensional differential quadrature method in radial direction is utilized to obtain the mechanical behavior of FGP annular plates. The state variables include a combination of electric potential, electric displacement, three mechanical displacement parameters and three stress parameters. Numerical results are given to demonstrate the convergency and accuracy of the present method. Both closed circuit and open circuit effects are studied and the influences of the Winkler and shearing layer elastic coefficients of the foundations, the material property graded index, radius, thickness, mechanical load and boundary conditions on the deflection response of the FGP annular plates are investigated. The new results can be used as a benchmark solutions for future researches.  相似文献

The method of asymptotic integration of equations of elasticity [1] is used to study the behavior of the solution of a 3D elasticity problem for a radially inhomogeneous transversally isotropic hollow cylinder of small thickness. Under the assumption that the load is sufficiently smooth, the asymptotic method [1] is used to construct inhomogeneous solutions. An algorithm for constructing exact particular solutions of the equilibrium equations is given for loads of specific types in the case where the cylinder lateral surface is loaded by forces polynomially depending on the axial coordinate. Then the homogeneous solutions are constructed. The asymptotic expansions of homogeneous solutions are obtained, and the above analysis is used to explain the character of the stress-strain state.  相似文献

The concept of weak discontinuity is extended to functionally graded piezoelectric bi-material interface, and fracture analysis for the weak discontinuous interface is performed by the methods of Fourier integral transform and Cauchy singular integral equation. Numerical results of the total energy release rate (TERR) and the mechanical strain energy release rate (MSERR) are obtained to show the effects of non-homogeneity parameters, geometrical parameters and loads. Parametric studies yield three conclusions: (1) To reduce the weak-discontinuity of the interface is beneficial to resisting interfacial fracture. The effect of the weak-discontinuity of the interface on TERR and MSERR still depends on the strip width. The wider the strip, the more sensitive the TERR and MSERR will be to the weak-discontinuity of the interface. (2) To predict the effect of electric load on crack propagation, MSERR is more appropriate than TERR to be used as a fracture parameter. To predict the effect of mechanical load on crack propagation, both of them could be used as fracture parameters, and MSERR is more conservative. (3) Mechanical load and negative electric displacement load would promote crack propagation, but positive electric displacement load would retard it. For the structure applied by combined mechanical and positive electric displacement loads, crack propagation may be impeded by appropriately selecting the strip width and the ratio of non-homogeneity parameters.  相似文献

The present paper concerns the investigation of the stress, temperature and magnetic fields in an isotropic elastic cylinder in a primary magenetic field when the curved surface of the cylinder subject to certain boundary conditions.The system of fundamental equations is solved by means of a finite difference method and the numerical calculations are carried out for the temperature, the components of displacement and the components of stresses with time and through the thickness of the cylinder. The results indicate that the effects of inhomogeneity and magnetic field are very pronounced.  相似文献
