毛细管黏度计自动检定/校准系统的研制

利用自动控温系统、测温电桥、自动计时系统和计算机控制平台组成一种毛细管黏度计自动检定/校准系统,该系统具有自动吸液、自动计时以及数据自动处理功能,可用于标准黏度液定值和毛细管黏度计检定/校准。     

全自动凯氏定氮仪测定化肥中的含氮量

建立全自动凯氏定氮仪检测化肥中氮含量的分析方法。称取总氮量在0.03~0.3 g范围的样品,经消解仪消解及全自动凯氏定氮仪碱化蒸馏,以硼酸为接收液,用0.15~0.20 mol/L的盐酸标准溶液进行自动滴定。该方法加标回收率为99.0%~101.5%,测定结果的相对标准偏差小于1.0%(n=6)。与国标GB/T 8527–2010法测定结果无显著性差异,全自动凯式定氮仪法的准确度、精密度均优于国标方法,而且所用试剂少、分析时间短,满足实验室快速检测大批量化肥中含氮量的需要。     

基于机器人制样和激光诱导击穿光谱分析技术的选煤厂检测系统无人化

目前选煤厂煤质检测过程自动化程度低,采样与制样技术需要大量的人工参与。检测技术的落后直接影响数据的准确性从而对整个选煤厂生产过程控制与产品质量控制产生重要影响,直接关系选煤厂的经济效益。面对产业升级的需要,将先进的自动采制样技术引进煤炭生产经营企业是当务之急。机器人采制样系统包含:机械化采样与初制样技术、机器人精细化制样技术、煤炭快速检测技术、自动快速浮沉技术,为选煤厂提供了一种全自动采制检的新技术方案。     

Software for automatic qualitative analysis and determination of elements by atomic emission spectroscopy with recognition of spectral interferences

This paper describes software for automatic qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis using inductively coupled plasma (ICP) atomic emission spectrometry with a high-resolution scanning monochromator. This software can be also used for automatic collection of wavelengths and intensities of spectral lines emitted from an ICP.

An instrument has been constructed for the automatic control of a TLC spectrophotometer. In addition to the automatic scanning of all tracks of a thin-layer chromatogram the positions and values of diffuse reflectance minima are recognized and printed. A second mode allows the manual scanning and measurement of a spot at any position on the TLC plate. A digital output is provided for the evaluation of the results with a computer. The errors of reproducibility and of concentration are much smaller using the automatic scanning of bands than using the manual positioning of circular spots as the examples show. The linearity of several analytical functions is analysed within two decades of concentration. The Kubelka-Munk function was found to be superior in linearity to all other functions studied. Calculations of costs show, that the total costs of an analysis in a routine laboratory can be lowered to an extend of about 70% by the use of an application instrument and a controlling instrument for automatic scanning inspite of the higher costs of investments.     

A simple photo-electric carbon dioxide titrator

A simple photo-electric apparatus is desscribed for the automatic titration of small amounts of carbon dioxide The apparatus is based on automatic titrant shut-off controlled by a photoresistor and is used for the non-aqueous titration proposed by Blomet al. (pyridine/monoethanolamine medium, sodium methanolate titrant).     

Design of optimally switchable molecules by genetic algorithms

We demonstrate the possibility to design molecules for specific tasks, using a fully automatic global optimization setup employing genetic algorithms. As an example, we tune the two excitation wavelengths of a molecular switch backbone to arbitrarily pre-set values, by an automatic optimization of the substituent pattern.

Refining a high rate gamma spectrometry system

An overload resistent input stage with PA step response equalizer, automatic self-alignment of previous pulse subtraction gain, and a novel automatic discriminator are valuable improvements for the Preloaded Filter (PLF) pulse processing system. Measurements with an RC-type preamplifier also make clear that the PLF gives superior results not only with transistor reset preamplifiers.     

Semi-Automating the Operations of an HGA-2000 Furnace Used On a Perkin-Elmer Model 503 Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer Equipped with a Peak Read Function

Abstract

A sequence relay timer is described for the automatic control of some instrument parameters when the HGA 2000 graphite furnace is employed with the Perkin-Elmer model 503 spectrophotometer equipped with a peak mode function. Its application is intended for routine trace metal analysis and provides automatic control of the instrument zero, an area integrator and a peak reader.

The determination of total nitrogen in plant materials with an automatic nitrogen analyser

An automatic analyser is used for the measurement of total nitrogen in chemical compounds and botanical material after the combustion method of Dumas in vacuum. The analyser is described and results for several chemical compounds and plant materials are given. The results have been statistically evaluated to compare the reproducibility and accuracy of the automatic analyser and the Kjeldahl method.     

Logarithmic analysis of two overlapping d.c. polarographic waves: V. Application of a minicomputer to automatic analysis

A system for automatic analysis of d.c. polarographic waves, based on a DEC PDP-11/20 minicomputer and a PAR 170 Electrochemical system is described. More general expressions for analysis and separation of overlapping d.c. polarographic waves are derived than those previously reported in the literature. Corresponding programs are prepared in order to enable the automatic interpretation of polarographic experiments in an on-line system.     

Fully Automatic Potentiometric Titrations [New analytical methods (9)]

Fully automatic titration systems consist of at least two units: the sample-changing system and the measuring system, the latter including addition of the reagent. These systems are preferably coupled to a computer. The possibilities of fully automatic titration can be best utilized if the sources of error are taken into account and the evaluation procedure optimal for the specific analysis is selected.     

Potentiometric stripping analysis automation

A semi-automatic system for potentiometric stripping analysis (PSA) based on the use of a potentiostat, a pH-meter with RS232C interface, and a personal computer is described. The appropriate software developed allows automatic control of the pre-electrolysis time, data acquisition and manual or automatic data treatment. Several elements can be determined at ng/ml level.     

Automatic function switching and its usefulness in peptide and protein analysis using direct infusion microspray quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry

Automatic function switching has been investigated for high-throughput protein identification and sequencing of peptides using direct infusion of tryptic digests on a quadrupole time-of-flight instrument. The increase in speed and the high quality of data make it a favourable technique for tandem mass spectrometry when compared to manual selection of each precursor ion; these advantages are not restricted to combined LC/MS/MS analyses for which the automatic function-switching mode was originally developed. This mode was compared to analyses performed using a slow scan of the quadrupole analyzer with repeated recording of product ion spectra. For the specific purpose of generating product ion data for sequence determination (as opposed to surveying all precursors of a selected product ion), the automatic function-switching mode was, as expected, markedly superior with respect to speed of analysis and quality of data. Furthermore, the automatic function-switching mode provides greater versatility with respect to selection of optimal collision energies.     

On-line monitoring during fermentation of whey based on ultrafiltration and liquid chromatography

A high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) system, controlled by means of a programmer, is described for monitoring the conversion of sugars and the formation of acids during fermentation processes. An on-line automatic sampling system was developed in order to achieve systematic sampling of the fermentation broth. The fermentor is connected to the HPLC system through a tangential ultrafiltration unit. This system is integrated into an automatic HPLC line for routine analysis.     

Oxidability Determination in Waste Waters Using an Automatic Titrator Based on a Multicommutated Unsegmented Flow System

Abstract

The automatic titrator based on a multicommutated unsegmented flow system was applied to redox titrations and used for oxidability determination in waters analysis. This automatic titrator allows the attainment of complete titration curves, being the determination of titrand concentration performed without requiring any prior calibration. After sample treatment (oxidation step), the oxidability determination in waste water samples was accomplished by the automatic flow titrator (titration step). Repeated determinations of standard solutions gave a 3.5% RSD (n=10, 0.010M) for repeatability and a 3.2% RSD (n=2, 0.057M) for reproducibility. Samples results (n=9) were in good agreement (t-test) with those obtained with a reference procedure.
