This paper discussed how to solve the polynomial ordinary differential equations. At first, we construct the theory of the linear equations about the unknown one variable functions with constant coefficients. Secondly, we use this theory to convert the polynomial ordinary differential equations into the simultaneous first order linear ordinary differential equations with constant coefficients and quadratic equations. Thirdly, we work out the general solution of the polynomial ordinary differential equations which is no longer concerned with the differential. Finally, we discuss the necessary and sufficient condition of the existence of the solution.  相似文献

We propose an unconditionally stable method for solving the three-dimensional nonstationary Navier–Stokes equations in the velocity–pressure variables. The method is based on a conservative finite-difference scheme and the simultaneous solution of the momentum and continuity equations at each time layer. The velocity and pressure fields are calculated by using a parallel algorithm for solving systems of linear equations by the Gauss method.  相似文献

For any system of linear algebraic equations with integer coefficients and a bounded set of nonnegative integer solutions, an infinite number of equations exist, each of which has the same set of nonnegative integer solutions as the given system. Two approaches (sequential and simultaneous aggregation) to the problem of finding the latter equivalent equation are considered. New procedures for sequential and simultaneous aggregation are presented, which improve known results, i.e., provide equivalent equations with smaller coefficients.  相似文献

Mixed and hybrid finite element methods for the resolution of a wide range of linear and nonlinear boundary value problems (linear elasticity, Stokes problem, Navier–Stokes equations, Boussinesq equations, etc.) have known a great development in the last few years. These methods allow simultaneous computation of the original variable and its gradient, both of them being equally accurate. Moreover, they have local conservation properties (conservation of the mass and the momentum) as in the finite volume methods.The purpose of this paper is to give a review on some mixed finite elements developed recently for the resolution of Stokes and Navier–Stokes equations, and the linear elasticity problem. Further developments for a quasi-Newtonian flow obeying the power law are presented.  相似文献

We study the exact controllability of q uncoupled damped string equations by means of the same control function. This property is called simultaneous controllability. An observability inequality is proved, which implies the simultaneous controllability of the system. Our results generalize the previous results on the linear wave without the dampings. This paper presents an analysis of Huang's and similar methods for solving systems of linear simultaneous equations, which not only derives their termination properties but which also permits bounds on propagated errors to be determined. The accuracy of Huang's method is shown to be proportional to the condition number of the matrix of coefficients of the equations. This paper deals with the problem of optimum control for the case where the constraints are linear differential equations and the functional is of quadratic type. It is assumed that the matrix of these simultaneous equations dependsslowly on the time. The optimal control of linear time-varying systems with quadratic cost functional is obtained by Fourier series approximation. The properties of Fourier series are first briefly presented and the operational matrix of backward integration together with the product operational matrix are utilized to reduce the optimal control problem to a set of simultaneous linear algebraic equations. This paper presents a numerical algorithm for solving the inverse coefficient problem for nonlinear parabolic equations. This problem arises in simultaneous determination of the hydraulic properties of unsaturated porous media from a simple outflow experiment. The novel feature of the method is that it is not based on output least squares. In this method, the unknown functions are represented as polygons (continuous and piecewise linear functions) every new linear pieces that are determined in each time step by using information based only on previous time intervals. We construct classical point symmetry groups for joint pairs of evolution equations (systems of equations) of integrable hierarchies related to the auxiliary equation of the method of the inverse problem of second order. For the two cases: the hierarchy of Korteweg--de Vries (KdV) equations and of the systems of Kaup equations, we construct simultaneous solutions invariant with respect to the symmetry group. The problem of the construction of these solutions can be reduced, respectively, to the first and second Painlevé equations depending on a parameter. The Painlevé equations are supplemented by the linear evolution equations defining the deformation of the solution of the corresponding Painlevé equation.  相似文献
