Localisation and phase transition of acoustic waves in a soft medium containing air bubbles 下载免费PDF全文
We study via numerical experiments the localisation property of an acoustic wave in a viscoelastic soft medium containing randomly-distributed air bubbles. The behaviours of the oscillation phases of bubbles are particularly investigated in various cases for distinguishing efficiently the acoustic localisation from the effects of acoustic absorption caused by the viscosity of medium. The numerical results reveal the phenomenon of `phase transition' characterized by an unusual collective oscillation of bubbles, which is an effective criterion to unambiguously identify the acoustic localisation in the presence of viscosity. Within the localisation region, the phenomenon of phase transition persists, and a remarkable decrease in the fluctuation of the oscillation phases of bubbles is observed. The localisation phenomenon will be impaired by the enhancement of the viscosity factors, and the extent to which the acoustic wave is localised may be determined by appropriately analyzing the values of the oscillation phases or the amount of reduction of the phase fluctuation. The results are particularly significant for the practical experiments in an attempt to observe the acoustic localisation in such a medium, which is in general subjected to the interference of the great ambiguity resulting from the effect of acoustic absorption. 相似文献

An effective medium method is developed for the slightly compressible elastic media permeated with air-filled bubbles, according
to the nonlinear oscillation of the bubble, which happens when compressional wave travels through the porous media. The effective
Lame coefficients of the porous medium and the nonlinear elastic wave equation are deduced, based on the fact that the micro-unit
of the effective medium should have the same stress and strain as the micro-unit of the porous media. The linearized properties
obtained by this method are in good agreement with the results of Gaunaurd’s classic theory [Gaunaurd G.C. and überall H.,
J. Acoust. Soc. Am., 1978, 63: 1699–1711]. Furthermore, the nonlinear coefficient, which is an important property of the porous
media, can also be acquired by this method.

The propagation of terahertz waves in a dust acoustic wave is investigated numerically. By assuming a sinus profile of the dust number density in the dust acoustic waves, the transmission properties are calculated using finite difference time domain method. It shows that the dust acoustic wave can function similarly as a Bragg filter to block the terahertz waves of a certain wavelength. The bandwidth of the filter depends on the density profile of the dust acoustic wave. 相似文献

The nonlinear propagation of acoustic waves in a viscoelastic medium containing cylindrical micropores 下载免费PDF全文
Based on an equivalent medium approach, this paper presents a
model describing the nonlinear propagation of acoustic waves in
a viscoelastic medium containing cylindrical micropores. The
influences of pores' nonlinear oscillations on sound
attenuation, sound dispersion and an equivalent acoustic nonlinearity
parameter are discussed. The calculated results show that the
attenuation increases with an increasing volume fraction of
micropores. The peak of sound velocity and attenuation occurs at the
resonant frequency of the micropores while the peak of the
equivalent acoustic nonlinearity parameter occurs at the half of the
resonant frequency of the micropores. Furthermore, multiple
scattering has been taken into account, which leads to a
modification to the effective wave number in the equivalent medium
approach. We find that these linear and nonlinear acoustic
parameters need to be corrected when the volume fraction of
micropores is larger than 0.1%. 相似文献

研究埋地充液管道中低频轴对称波传播特性。将土壤考虑为黏弹介质,结合Kennard薄壳方程和Kelvin-Voigt线性黏弹性模型,引入土壤载荷矩阵,推导出土-管滑移情形下流体主导波和管壁压缩波的相速度表达式。通过数值模拟计算得到流体主导波和管壁压缩波的频散和衰减曲线并进行可靠性验证,分析两种波引起的管壁径向位移之比,讨论厚径比和品质因子对流体主导波传播的影响。结果表明,黏弹介质对流体主导波和管壁压缩波的相速度影响较小,但对衰减影响较大;流体主导波对管壁径向位移有较大的影响,是泄露噪声传播的主要载体;厚径比越大,流体主导波的相速度越大,衰减越小;而品质因子越大,流体主导波的频散和衰减都越小。研究结果可为埋地充液管道的泄漏检测提供一定的理论参考。 相似文献

The cavitation-mediated bioeffects are primarily associated with the dynamic behaviors of bubbles in viscoelastic tissues, which involves complex interactions of cavitation bubbles with surrounding bubbles and tissues. The radial and translational motions, as well as the resultant acoustic emissions of two interacting cavitation bubbles in viscoelastic tissues were numerically investigated. Due to the bubble–bubble interactions, a remarkable suppression effect on the small bubble, whereas a slight enhancement effect on the large one were observed within the acoustic exposure parameters and the initial radii of the bubbles examined in this paper. Moreover, as the initial distance between bubbles increases, the strong suppression effect is reduced gradually and it could effectively enhance the nonlinear dynamics of bubbles, exactly as the bifurcation diagrams exhibit a similar mode of successive period doubling to chaos. Correspondingly, the resultant acoustic emissions present a progressive evolution of harmonics, subharmonics, ultraharmonics and broadband components in the frequency spectra. In addition, with the elasticity and/or viscosity of the surrounding medium increasing, both the nonlinear dynamics and translational motions of bubbles were reduced prominently. This study provides a comprehensive insight into the nonlinear behaviors and acoustic emissions of two interacting cavitation bubbles in viscoelastic media, it may contribute to optimizing and monitoring the cavitation-mediated biomedical applications. 相似文献

medium method is used to study the nonlinear property of the slightly compressible media permeated with air bubbles. It is
this nonlinear oscillation of air bubbles that results in the nonlinear property of the porous media. Numerical results have
confirmed that the nonlinearity of the porous media is usually high, though the optimal porosity is very small. Moreover,
the nonlinear property is greatly affected by the prestressed state, porosity, and shear modulus of the matrix media.

A semi-discrete dynamic model has been developed for the formation of the spatial structure of wave fields in a medium with
cubic nonlinearity. The characteristic features of self-focusing and conical modulation of intense Bessel-Gaussian light beams
of different orders have been studied in different stages of their evolution during propagation. It has been shown that as
a result of nonlinear refraction, in the far zone wave structures are formed consisting of three spatially separated conical
beams. Increasing the cone angle of the wave vectors leads to a decrease in the effect of conical modulation of the radiation,
and improves the structural stability of the beam. The considered self-modulation effects can be used for passive limiting
of the laser radiation power.

In this Letter, we present an analytical study of a high-order acoustic wave equation in one dimension, and reformulate a previously given equation in terms of an expansion of the acoustic Mach number. To realize the accurate reconstruction of sound field in a moving medium under the condition of limited holographic aperture, a patch nearfield acoustic holography (NAH) in a moving medium is proposed. The proposed method not only reduces the influence caused by the limited aperture effects through sound field extrapolation, but also perfectly suits for sound field reconstruction in a moving medium by improving the shape of the modified Tikhonov regularization filter and the noise estimation method in accordance with flow effects. In the method, two cases that the flow direction is parallel to and perpendicular to the hologram surface are considered. Especially in the perpendicular case, the expression of the wavenumber component in the z direction is improved to make the proposed method suitable for the moving medium at a high Mach number. Simulations are investigated to examine the performance of the proposed method and show its advantages by comparing with NAH in a moving medium and the conventional patch NAH. It is found that, the proposed method is effective and robust at different flow velocities of the medium and different frequencies of the sound source. 相似文献

Depending on the excitability of the medium, a propagating wave segment will either contract or expand to fill the medium with spiral waves. This paper aims to introduce a simple mechanism of feedback control to stabilize such an expansion or contraction. To do this, we lay out a feedback control system in a block diagram and reduce it into a bare, universal formula.
