Quantum correlations are generally impossible to address directly in bulk systems. Quantum measures extended only to a few number of parties can be discussed in practice. In the present work we study a cluster of spins belonging to a compound whose structure is that of a quantum magnet. We reproduce at a much smaller scale the experimental outcomes and then we study the role of quantum correlations there. A macroscopic entanglement witness has been introduced in order to reveal quantum correlations at nonzero temperatures. The critical point beyond which entanglement is zero is found at T c = 15 K.  相似文献

The field and temperature dependences of magnetization and the temperature dependences of the initial magnetic susceptibility have been theoretically studied for three crystallographic directions in a trigonal NdFe3(BO3)4 antiferromagnetic crystal. The calculations were performed using a molecular field approximation and a crystal field model for the rare-earth subsystem. The obtained theoretical expressions are applied to the interpretation of recent experimental data [1–4] on the magnetic properties of NdFe3(BO3)4. The results of calculations show a good agreement with experiment. The proposed theory adequately describes (i) anomalies of the Schottky type in the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility, (ii) nonlinear curves of magnetization in the basal plane in a magnetic field up to 1 T (showing evidence of the first-order phase transitions) and their evolution with the temperature, and (iii) the field and temperature dependences of magnetization in a magnetic field up to 9 T.  相似文献

Co3O2BO3 and Co2FeO2BO3 single crystals with a ludwigite structure are fabricated, and their crystal structure and magnetic properties are studied in detail. Substituted ludwigite Co2FeO2BO3 undergoes two-stage magnetic ordering at the temperatures characteristic of Fe3O2BO3 (T N1 ≈ 110 K, T N2 ≈ 70 K) rather than Co3O2BO3 (T N = 42 K). This effect is explained in terms of preferred occupation of nonequivalent crystallographic positions by iron, which was detected by X-ray diffraction. Both materials exhibit a pronounced uniaxial magnetic anisotropy. Crystallographic direction b is an easy magnetization axis. Upon iron substitution, the cobalt ludwigite acquires a very high magnetic hardness.  相似文献

The spectrum of spin fluctuations in the stacked-triangular antiferromagnet YMnO3 was studied above the Néel temperature using both unpolarized and polarized inelastic neutron scattering. We find an in-plane and an out-of-plane excitation. The in-plane mode has two components just above T N : a resolution-limited central peak and a Debye-like contribution. The quasi-elastic fluctuations have a line width that increases with q as Dq z and the dynamical exponent z = 2.3. The out-of-plane fluctuations have a gap at the magnetic zone center and do not show any appreciable q dependence at small wave vectors.  相似文献

Ordered arrays of nanowires of the photochromic antiferromagnet SpFeMn(C2O4)3 (where Sp is 1-{(1′,3′,3′-trimethyl-6-nitro-5′-chlorospiro[2H-1-benzopyran-2,2′-indolin]-8-yl)methyl}pyridinium) have been fabricated in anodized aluminum oxide pores with diameters of 20 and 200 nm. It has been revealed that the growth of the spin-glass phase with noncollinear ordering of spins in nanowires is suppressed in favor of the uniaxial antiferromagnetic phase. A decrease in the nanowire diameter leads to an increase in the anisotropy of the magnetic resonance spectra. This is associated with the magnetocrystalline anisotropy that considerably exceeds the anisotropy of the nanowire shape.  相似文献

The magnetic structure of the Sr2Cu3O4Cl2 two-subsystem antiferromagnet is studied by the nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) method on the 63, 65Cu and 35Cl nuclei. The resonance spectrum above T N2 = 40 K is determined by the Zeeman splitting of the levels of the 63, 65Cu nuclei of the copper atoms at the Cu1 site with the first-order quadrupole perturbation. The magnetic field on the copper nuclei is equal to 93 kOe. The spectrum below n is significantly different: it includes a low-frequency part, which is associated with the ordering of the second magnetic subsystem Cu2. The splitting of the NQR lines of 35Cl is observed above and below T N2. This fact indicates the ferromagnetic ordering of the moments of the Cu1 subsystem, which are located along the c axis of the crystal, and makes it possible to determine the direction of the magnetic field on Cu1 copper as (110).  相似文献

The technological settings of a modified sol-gel method for the preparation of highly fine homogeneous powder of Ca2CuO3 doped with uranium 238 (x= 0.0–0.05) is presented. The analysis of structure, purity of phases and the justification for the role of uranium in the given compounds are provided, together with an almost complete classification of the observed optical phonons by means of Raman, IR measurements and ab initio calculations. A significant reduction in particle size was achieved by doping, and a strong correlation between resistivity and doping concentration was observed and explained using the phonon-assisted electron hopping conduction model. The persistence of a covalent insulation state in all compounds is an interesting feature of this doping.  相似文献

Temperature and field dependences of the magnetization of VBO3 and CrBO3 single crystals with the magnetic field applied parallel and perpendicular to the (111) basal plane were measured. VBO3 was found to have a considerable uniaxial anisotropy with a field Ha≈6.25 T. CrBO3 was shown to exhibit not only uniaxial but also hexagonal anisotropy. The experimental anisotropy constants were estimated, and their temperature dependences are presented.  相似文献

Effects of a mechanical shear on the electron transport properties of a (LaMnO3)2/(SrMnO3)2 superlattice are investigated using first-principle DFT calculations. While the unstrained superlattice is a 3-D conducting half metal, application of a pyramidal shear transforms it into a non-spin-polarized conductor. Depending on whether the out-of-plane component of the shear is tensile or compressive the conductivity is 1-D out-of-plane or 2-D in-plane. The shear-induced low-dimensional conductivity is also associated with the FM-AFM transition.  相似文献

According to the results of calorimetric and structural studies, the Fm{ie1202-1}m phase in K2NaMoO3F3 remains stable at least to 100 K. No ferroelectric transformation assumed earlier has been revealed in a series of Rb2KMoO3F3 samples prepared using various technologies. Only a phase transition of nonferroelectric origin has been observed near 195 K, and its thermodynamic characteristics have been determined. An analysis of the stability of the cubic structure of molybdenum fluorine-oxygen elpasolites-cryolites has been performed in the framework of the hypothesis on strengths of interatomic bonds. The barocaloric effect in Rb2KMoO3F3 has been estimated.  相似文献

Two sets of samples of SnO2/In2O3/TiO2 system have been fabricated with different concentrations of component materials. In the first set TiO2 with rutile structure was used, while in the second set it has the structure of anatase. Thin films (up to 50 nm) of obtained mixtures were deposited. Their sensitivity and selectivity with respect to methane (CH4) were studied. Nanostructure on the basis of 70%SnO2 — 10%In2O3 — 20%TiO2(anatase) exhibits sufficient sensitivity to methane.  相似文献

The thin-film photocatalysts TiO2/MoO3 and TiO2/MoO3:V2O5 obtained by a combination of sol–gel and sintering techniques were studied using the photooxidation of probing dyes, EPR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, and electron microscopy. It was shown that due to charge accumulation caused by UV irradiation, these photocatalysts retain their oxidative activity and ability for self-sterilization in the dark for a long time after irradiation was terminated (up to 5 h for TiO2/MoO3:V2O5).  相似文献

Thin films of Sb2Te3 and (Sb2Te3)70(Bi2Te3)30 alloy and have been deposited on precleaned glass substrate by thermal evaporation technique in a vacuum of 2?×?10?6 Torr. The structural study was carried out by X-ray diffractometer, which shows that the films are polycrystalline in nature. The grain size, microstrain and dislocation density were determined. The Seebeck coefficient was determined as the ratio of the potential difference across the films to the temperature difference. The power factor for the (Sb2Te3)70 (Bi2Te3)30 and (Sb2Te3) is found to be 19.602 and 1.066 of the film of thickness 1,500 Å, respectively. The Van der-Pauw technique was used to measure the Hall coefficient at room temperature. The carrier concentration was calculated and the results were discussed.  相似文献

The antiferromagnetic resonance spectrum was experimentally studied for a noncollinear RbMnBr3 antiferromagnet under a mechanical pressure applied to the sample in various directions. It is shown that the incommensurate magnetic phase existing in the initial system in the presence of regular crystallographic distortions is sensitive to the pressure applied along one of the sample axes. The critical transition field to the commensurate phase decreased under pressure. It was also found that the pressure influences the uniaxial anisotropy appearing in the crystal basal plane in the presence of orthorhombic distortions. These effects were analyzed with allowance for the domain structure of the sample.  相似文献

The magnetization of the canted antiferromagnet CoCO3 (T N = 18.1 K) is calculated in the Weiss molecular field approximation taking into account the microscopic state of the Co2+ ion in the entire range of temperatures and magnetic fields. The values of T N, magnetic susceptibility in the basal plane, and ferromagnetic moment were used as parameters. It is shown that the anisotropy of the g factor and of the exchange interaction at low temperatures (T < 30 K) including the magnetic ordering temperature is correctly described in the Abragam-Pryce approximation. At high temperatures, the g factor increases and becomes isotropic, but it cannot be described using the Abragam-Pryce approximation. The reasons for g factor variation and the magnitude of the magnetic moment are discussed.  相似文献

Glasses of 2Bi2O3-3GeO2-xFe2O3 composition, where x = 0–1.5, are obtained under oxidizing and reducing conditions. Glass-ceramic materials are produced by the thermal treatment of the glasses, the properties of which, as well as those of the original glasses, are studied by the methods of X-ray phase analysis and optical and luminescent spectroscopy. It is found that the Fe3+/Fe2+ ion ratio in the samples changes depending on the synthesis conditions of the original glasses and crystallization process.  相似文献

Photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) is one of the important branches of spectroscopy, which enables one to detect light-induced heat production following the absorption of pulsed radiation by the sample. As2S3, As2Se3 and GeSe2 exhibit a wide variety of photo-induced phenomena that enable them to be used as optical imaging or storage medium and various electronic devices, including electro-optic information storage devices and optical mass memories. Therefore, accurate measurement of thermal properties of semiconducting films is necessary to study the memory density. The thermal conductivity of thin films of As2S3 (thickness 100 μm and 80 μm), As2Se3 (thickness 100 μm and 80 μm) and GeSe2 (thickness 120 μm and 100 μm) has been measured using PAS technique. Our result shows that the thermal conductivity of thicker films is larger than the thinner films. This can be explained by the thermal resistance effect between the film and the surface of the substrate.   相似文献

The pure phase P2-Na2/3Ni1/3Mn2/3O2 was synthesized by a solid reaction process. The optimum calcination temperature was 850 °C. The as-prepared product delivered a capacity of 158 mAh g?1 in the voltage range of 2–4.5 V, and there was a phase transition from P2 to O2 at about 4.2 V in the charge process. The P2 phase exhibited excellent intercalation behavior of Na ions. The reversible capacity is about 88.5 mAh g?1 at 0.1 C in the voltage range of 2–4 V at room temperature. At an elevated temperature of 55 °C, it could remain as an excellent capacity retention at low current rates. The P2-Na2/3Ni1/3Mn2/3O2 is a potential cathode material for sodium-ion batteries.  相似文献
