Motivated by the classical statements of Mirror Symmetry, we study certain Kähler metrics on the complexified Kähler cone of a Calabi–Yau threefold, conjecturally corresponding to approximations to the Weil–Petersson metric near large complex structure limit for the mirror. In particular, the naturally defined Riemannian metric (defined via cup-product) on a level set of the Kähler cone is seen to be analogous to a slice of the Weil–Petersson metric near large complex structure limit. This enables us to give counterexamples to a conjecture of Ooguri and Vafa that the Weil–Petersson metric has non-positive scalar curvature in some neighborhood of the large complex structure limit point.  相似文献

Given a real (finite-dimensional or infinite-dimensional) Hilbert space H with a Jordan product, we introduce the concepts of ω-unique and ω-P properties for linear transformations on H, and investigate some interconnections among these concepts. In particular, we discuss the ω-unique and ω-P properties for Lyapunov-like transformations on H. Given any smooth toric surface $S$ , we prove a SYM-HILB correspondence which relates the 3-point, degree zero, extended Gromov–Witten invariants of the $n$ -fold symmetric product stack $[\mathrm{Sym}^n(S)]$ of $S$ to the 3-point extremal Gromov–Witten invariants of the Hilbert scheme $\mathrm{Hilb}^n(S)$ of $n$ points on $S$ . As we do not specialize the values of the quantum parameters involved, this result proves a strengthening of Ruan’s Cohomological Crepant Resolution Conjecture for the Hilbert–Chow morphism $\mathrm{Hilb}^n(S) \rightarrow \mathrm{Sym}^n(S)$ and yields a method of reconstructing the cup product for $\mathrm{Hilb}^n(S)$ from the orbifold invariants of $[\mathrm{Sym}^n(S)]$ .  相似文献

We investigate continuity properties of operators obtained as values of the Weyl correspondence constructed by Pedersen (Invent. Math. 118:1?C36, 1994) for arbitrary irreducible representations of nilpotent Lie groups. To this end we introduce modulation spaces for such representations and establish some of their basic properties. The situation of square-integrable representations is particularly important and in the special case of the Schr?dinger representation of the Heisenberg group we recover the classical modulation spaces used in the time-frequency analysis.  相似文献

Each matrix representation :G GLn() of a finite Group G over a field induces an action of G on the module n over the polynomial algebra The graded -submodule M() of n generated by the orbit of is studied. A decomposition of M() into generic modules is given. Relations between the numerical invariants of and those of M(), the latter being efficiently computable by Gröbner bases methods, are examined. It is shown that if is multiplicity-free, then the dimensions of the irreducible constituents of can be read off from the Hilbert series of M(Pi;). It is proved that determinantal relations form Gröbner bases for the syzygies on generic matrices with respect to any lexicographic order. Gröbner bases for generic modules are also constructed, and their Hilbert series are derived. Consequently, the Hilbert series of M(Pi;) is obtained for an arbitrary representation.  相似文献

The duality of two kinds of representations of convex sets is studied: the tangential representation of a convex body and the representations of its polar or negative polar by means of their weak* exposed points. The equivalence of the representations is proved and a condition for their validity is obtained for individual sets (the case of arbitrary locally convex space) and for classes of sets (the case of Gâteaux differentiability locally convex space). Properties of Gâteaux differentiability locally convex spaces are studied and some examples of such spaces are given.

In this article we give a geometric explanation of the fact that the Betti numbers of the d-fold symmetric product of the proyective space of dimension n are the same as those of the Grassmanian of d-planes in the complex vector space of dimension n+d. In fact, we give a correspondence which is the graph of a rational morphism which induces an isomorphism, and whose matrix is the identity. We also prove some properties of Euler–Chow series and state some open problems related to this series.  相似文献

We present a method for constructing families of isospectral systems, using linear representations of finite groups. We focus on quantum graphs, for which we give a complete treatment. However, the method presented can be applied to other systems such as manifolds and two-dimensional drums. This is demonstrated by reproducing some known isospectral drums, and new examples are obtained as well. In particular, Sunada’s method (Ann. Math. 121, 169–186, 1985) is a special case of the one presented.  相似文献

Well-balanced schemes, nowadays mostly developed for both hyperbolic and kinetic equations, are extended in order to handle linear parabolic equations, too. By considering the variational solution of the resulting stationary boundary-value problem, a simple criterion of uniqueness is singled out: the \(C^{1}\) regularity at all knots of the computational grid. Being easy to convert into a finite-difference scheme, a well-balanced discretization is deduced by defining the discrete time-derivative as the defect of \(C^{1}\) regularity at each node. This meets with schemes formerly introduced in the literature relying on so-called ?-spline interpolation of discrete values. Various monotonicity, consistency and asymptotic-preserving properties are established, especially in the under-resolved vanishing viscosity limit. Practical experiments illustrate the outcome of such numerical methods.  相似文献
