微片激光器由于自身的内应力会输出频率分裂的正交偏振的两个模式.研究了回馈对微片激光器频差的影响.研究发现:在回馈的作用下微片激光器的频差大小呈现出以初始频差为中心的类正弦的频差调制,周期为λ/2;频差调制曲线的幅度与回馈水平成正比,但是当回馈水平过强时会出现偏振态跳变,从而使频差消失;在一定的回馈外腔范围内,频差调制曲线的幅度与初始频差亦成正比.并利用复合腔模型和激光器的自洽理论进行了理论分析和模拟,所得结果与实验结果相符.此调制现象在精密测量领域有潜在应用. 相似文献

在精密测量领域,HeNe激光器是制造激光干涉仪的首选.但能够产生中频差4—40 MHz的双折射-塞曼双频HeNe激光器的频差是随机的,小到几百kHz,大到十几MHz.为了让频差能够满足制作双频激光干涉仪的要求,曾出现过弹性加力法、钻孔应力调节法等调整和频差赋值的方法.但这些方法在实际应用中都不是很理想.采用激光内雕法赋值频差,通过在激光器的平面输出镜内部雕刻出不同图案,使平面镜内部产生满足要求的相位延迟,达到为频差赋值的目的.激光内雕法有很多优点:不损害激光器,美观;功率损失小,出光强度可接近原始光强度;可反复赋值,频差在0—60 MHz范围内可调整;频差的稳定性好,采用稳频措施后频差的波动范围小于每小时10 kHz. 相似文献

提出了一种基于双折射双频激光器中的调频回馈效应的位移测量系统,并在实验和理论两方面进行了研究.实验中保持回馈外腔长度不变,将一四分之一波片置于激光器内腔中,调制内腔长度,激光器的中心频率发生改变,激光器输出强度将发生周期性的变化.研究发现激光强度曲线的波动频率正比于回馈外腔长度与内腔长度之比.当该位移测量系统的外腔长度是内腔长度的6倍时,被测物体每移动半个光波长,激光强度波动12次,系统分辨率可以达到二十四分之一光波长.理论分析与实验结果相符合.研究表明该位移测量系统具有高分辨率、大测量范围、可工作于任意回馈水平等特点.

基于激光的回馈效应可实现光学材料应力分布的测量, 而系统外腔镜的非线性运动会引起测量结果的误差, 影响系统的精度. 利用高精度Nd:YAG激光回馈干涉仪对外腔镜的位移随时间的变化进行测量, 采用高次拟合的方式得到位移与时间函数关系, 并利用三镜腔等效模型的调谐曲线方程, 对非线性运动引入的应力测量误差进行计算, 实现对系统精度的修正. 结果表明: 外腔镜运动方向不同, 引起的误差呈现相反的变化趋势; 将不同方向的测量结果进行平均, 可减小系统的测量误差. 分析了外腔镜非线性运动带来的误差对系统测量精度的影响, 提出了测量误差修正方法, 对提高系统的测量精度具有重要意义. 相似文献

远距离微弱振动信号探测在机械制造、国防军事等领域具有重要意义。针对远距离非合作目标振动测量不足的问题,基于固体微片激光器移频回馈技术,构建远距离振动测量系统,进一步分析系统灵敏度指标,包括工作距离、入射角度以及非配合物体等参数。实验得到:系统对100 m外目标微弱振动信号高质量采集,以硬纸盒作为测量目标时,频率测量误差小于0.1%,在±60°入射角下信噪比仍接近20 dB。此外支持对奶粉袋、泡沫等多种非合作目标振动测量。系统可灵活用于机械振动测量和远程监视等领域,具有较大工程应用推广价值。 相似文献

研究了在各向异性外腔下微片Nd:YAG激光器调频回馈特性.作为对比,首先给出了在各向同性外腔下调频回馈结果,激光器输出功率的半波条纹数正比于外、内腔长度之比.在回馈外腔中内置一个四分之一波片,激光偏振态发生规律性跳变,每个纵模带宽内的偏振跳变次数正比于外、内腔长之比,相同外腔长下,回馈条纹再次倍频.进行了基于法布里-珀罗腔等效模型的理论分析,结果和实验相符合.此现象在精密测量领域有潜在应用.

对基于非准直外腔的单频激光高阶回馈现象及产生机理进行了研究,获得了调制幅度不均匀的高分辨率多重高阶回馈条纹,分析了多重高阶回馈条纹的特点及产生机制。提出采用基于光路阻挡的实验方法,在回馈镜反射率大于90%的强回馈中,发现了单重高阶回馈效应,获得了调制幅度均匀、无大包络的高分辨率单重高阶回馈条纹,其分辨率达到/10,而且还有进一步提高的潜力。单重高阶回馈条纹不但具有多重高阶回馈时高分辨率的优点,还具有传统弱回馈时调制幅度均匀、类正弦等特性,对进一步研制高精度回馈测量系统具有重要意义。 相似文献

Strong optical feedback in a birefringent dual frequency He--Ne laser with a
high reflectivity feedback mirror has been investigated for the first time.
The output characteristics of two orthogonally polarized modes are
demonstrated in two different optical feedback cases: one is for both modes
being fed back and the other is for only one of the modes being fed back.
Strong mode competition can be observed between the two modes with strong
optical feedback. And when one mode's intensity is near its maximum, the
other mode is nearly extinguished. When both modes are fed back into the
laser cavity, the mode competition is stronger than when only one mode is
fed back. The difference in initial intensity between the two orthogonally
polarized modes plays an important role in the mode competition, which has
been experimentally and theoretically demonstrated. 相似文献

The output characteristics of optical feedback in a helium neon laser with a birefringent internal cavity are studied systematically in five different regions of the gain curve for the two orthogonally polarized modes. When the laser operates in the two end regions of the laser gain curve, one of the two orthogonally polarized modes will be a leading one in optical feedback. Strong mode competition can be observed. However, when the laser operates in the middle region of the laser gain curve, the two modes can oscillate equally with optical feedback. Besides the intensity of the two polarized lights, the total light intensity is also studied at the same time. M-shaped optical feedback curves are found. Particularly, when the average intensities of the two lights are comparable, the intensity modulation curve of the total light is doubled, which can be used to improve the resolution of an optical feedback system.[第一段] 相似文献

针对差频产生太赫兹(THz)辐射转换效率低的缺点,提出了级联差频的新机理以提高转换效率,并以ZnTe晶体为例,对级联差频产生THz辐射的原理和过程进行了理论研究.通过对级联差频耦合波方程组的求解,得出了ZnTe晶体中级联差频的最佳抽运条件和ZnTe晶体的最佳长度,并且分析了晶体吸收、波矢失配及抽运强度对级联差频的影响.计算结果表明,通过级联差频可以大大提高THz波的转换效率,其光子转换效率甚至可以超过Manley-Rowe关系的限制.

In this paper, we propose a semi-classical theory to successfully explain the polarization flipping in a single frequency laser. An experimental setup is built to verify this theory. The observed experimental phenomena are consistent with the theoretical analysis. We perform phase retardation measurements of birefringent components using this experimental system. The external cavity feedback of a broad-area laser diode is investigated. In Fourier optic methods, the inserted prism in an external cavity can be interpreted as a spatial filter in the Fourier plane of the laser diode. The transverse mode can be selected by changing the position of the filter. As the result of a self-consistency theoretical analysis, the output beam of the external cavity has a single-lobed far-field profile. It agrees well with the experiment result. The beam times-diffraction-limit-factor M2 is measured to be 1.16. 相似文献
