Two fundamental TE10 modes are considered to interfere at a small angle θ and then propagate along the z-axis in an evacuated rectangular waveguide. The electron trajectory in the resultant field and the expressions for energy gain and the acceleration gradient are obtained, when the electron is injected along the z-axis. A 50 keV electron gains 718 keV energy in a 4.0 cm × 2.5 cm waveguide, when the microwave with intensity of 1 × 1010 W/cm2 and frequency 5.577 GHz is used and the modes superpose at an angle of 10°; here the maximum acceleration gradient is obtained as 251 MeV/m. The energy gain and acceleration gradient are decreased with increasing width of the waveguide and microwave frequency. Higher gradient and larger energy gain are obtained for the higher microwave intensity, smaller angle of superposition and also when the electron is injected with larger initial energy.  相似文献

We present here some fundamental but yet underlooked features of the propagation of weak ultrashort pulses (with Δdτ << 1, where Δd is the Doppler width and τ is the pulse duration) in resonant atomic media. We show that the pulse area behaviour and the pulse spectrum at resonance are governed by the usual optical depth (α0L, where α0 is the absorption coefficient at resonance and L the length of the medium), whereas the pertinent parameter that governs the severity of the dispersion effects and the distortion of the pulse is the dispersion parameter edisp = (α0L)Δdτ that we introduce. Paradoxical effect such as distortionless propagation (e.g. edisp << 1) with vanishing pulse area (when α0L >> 1) can then explained within this formalism.  相似文献

The forming abilities of monatomic chains (MC) of several fcc and bcc metals stretched in three principal crystallographic orientations of [1 1 1], [1 0 0] and [1 1 0] are analyzed in terms of a ratio between Peierls stress of a bulk crystal with dislocations (τp) and theoretical shear stress of a monatomic chain (τm). It is found that the structure and orientation dependent τm/τp values are proportional to the forming abilities of MC while τm/τp is a function of Possion's ratio ν. The above considerations are in agreement with known experimental and simulation results of Au. In addition, Nb as a candidate for MC formation is suggested.  相似文献

This paper presents an analytical and numerical investigation of an intense circularly polarized wave propagating along the static magnetic field parallel to oscillating magnetic field in magnetoactive plasma. In the relativistic regime such a magnetic field is created by pulse itself. The authors have studied different regimes of propagation with relativistic electron mass effect for magnetized plasma. An appropriate expression for dielectric tensor in relativistic magnetoactive plasma has been evaluated under paraxial theory. Two modes of propagation as extraordinary and ordinary exist; because of the relativistic effect, ultra-strong magnetic fields are generated which significantly influence the propagation of laser beam in plasma. The nature of propagation is characterized through the critical-divider curves in the normalized beam width with power plane For given values of normalized density (ωp/ω) and magnetic field (ωc/ω) the regions are namely steady divergence (SD), oscillatory divergence (OD) and self-focusing (SF). Numerical computations are performed for typical parameters of relativistic laser-plasma interaction: magnetic field B = 10-100 MG; intensity I = 1016 to 1020 W/cm2; laser frequency ω = 1.1 × 1015 s−1; cyclotron frequency ωc = 1.7 × 1013 s−1; electron density ne = 2.18 × 1020 cm−3. From the calculations, we confirm that a circularly polarized wave can propagate in different regimes for both the modes, and explicitly indicating enhancement in wave propagation, beam focusing/self-guiding and penetration of E-mode in presence of magnetic field.  相似文献

Single clouds of cavitation bubbles, driven by 254 kHz focused ultrasound at pressure amplitudes in the range of 0.48–1.22 MPa, have been observed via high-speed shadowgraphic imaging at 1 × 106 frames per second. Clouds underwent repetitive growth, oscillation and collapse (GOC) cycles, with shock-waves emitted periodically at the instant of collapse during each cycle. The frequency of cloud collapse, and coincident shock-emission, was primarily dependent on the intensity of the focused ultrasound driving the activity. The lowest peak-to-peak pressure amplitude of 0.48 MPa generated shock-waves with an average period of 7.9 ± 0.5 μs, corresponding to a frequency of f0/2, half-harmonic to the fundamental driving. Increasing the intensity gave rise to GOC cycles and shock-emission periods of 11.8 ± 0.3, 15.8 ± 0.3, 19.8 ± 0.2 μs, at pressure amplitudes of 0.64, 0.92 and 1.22 MPa, corresponding to the higher-order subharmonics of f0/3, f0/4 and f0/5, respectively. Parallel passive acoustic detection, filtered for the fundamental driving, revealed features that correlated temporally to the shock-emissions observed via high-speed imaging, p(two-tailed) < 0.01 (r = 0.996, taken over all data). Subtracting the isolated acoustic shock profiles from the raw signal collected from the detector, demonstrated the removal of subharmonic spectral peaks, in the frequency domain. The larger cavitation clouds (>200 μm diameter, at maximum inflation), that developed under insonations of peak-to-peak pressure amplitudes >1.0 MPa, emitted shock-waves with two or more fronts suggesting non-uniform collapse of the cloud. The observations indicate that periodic shock-emissions from acoustically driven cavitation clouds provide a source for the cavitation subharmonic signal, and that shock structure may be used to study intra-cloud dynamics at sub-microsecond timescales.  相似文献

电子俘获是激光尾波场加速电子的主要机理,增大电子的初速度可以使更多的电子被尾波场俘获.提出三角脉冲激发尾波加速电子的方案,三角脉冲平缓上升沿激发受激Raman散射,用以初步加速电子,三角脉冲陡峭下降沿激发尾波场,将更多的电子加速到接近光速.2D3V粒子模拟结果证实了这一点.同时表明:脉冲长度为几个等离子体波长的超强激光在稀薄等离子体中传播时,还激发侧向Raman散射.在侧向受激Raman散射中,静电波增长最快的波矢模式为kp=(2ωp0 关键词: 有质动力 电子俘获 前向受激Raman散射 侧向受激Raman散射  相似文献

The ac electrical properties of 5-10% Fe doped polycrystalline sample have been investigated by complex impedance analysis over the frequency and temperature ranges of 1-100 kHz and 77-300 K, respectively. The average normalized change (ΔZ′/Δf)/Z0 has been deduced for these Fe doped CMR samples which shows an increasing trend with iron doping. The most pronounced effect of frequencies is at Tc, with the increase of Fe doping it is observed that not only Tc is lowered substantially but also the height of the peaks of real part of impedance (Z′) is increased which in turn decreases considerably with the increase of the ac field. An equivalent circuit model, Rg(RgbCgb), i.e. a resistor-capacitor network, has been proposed to explain the impedance results at different temperatures. The plot between τ and 1/T gives a straight line from where relaxation time (τ0) has been deduced. The correlated barrier hopping (CBH) model has been employed and the binding energy of the defect states is estimated to be between 0.39 and 0.25 eV while the minimum hoping distance varies within the range of 2.93-5.21 Å for these 5-10% Fe doped LCM samples.  相似文献

This paper describes the application of continuous-wave (CW) and tone-burst (TB) vibro-acoustography (VA) experiments for imaging a flawed composite plate. For both modes, the ultrasound frequency is set at f1 = 3 MHz and f2 = 3 MHz + ∣Δf∣. The plate was placed at the focus of the transducer and scanned point-by-point over an area of 60 mm by 50 mm on its frontal face with an increment step equal to 0.25 mm/pixel. The resulting acoustic emission amplitude at ∣Δ f∣ is recorded. For the CW mode the difference frequency was set at ∣Δf∣ = 12.9 kHz. For the TB mode, the burst-emitted signal was 100 μs long at a pulse repetition frequency (PRF) of 100 Hz corresponding to bursts of 300 cycles at 3 MHz, and the difference frequency was set at ∣Δf∣ = 44 kHz. The resulting VA images readily show the shape of the flaws. The images also reveal considerable detail of internal substructures such as the fibers used to reinforce the plate. However, the CW VA image shows an artifact caused by the effect of ultrasound standing waves established between the plate and the concave surface of the transducer, resulting in masking some of the flaws. On the other hand, the TB-VA image is free from such artifact. Despite some advantages of using TB-VA, there are some limitations related to this mode. Advantages and limitations of using the two modes are discussed.  相似文献

Time-resolved photography was employed to study plasma dynamics and particle ejection of laser-irradiated iron oxide materials. Nano-particle powder, pressed powder pellets and sintered ceramics were ablated in air and Ar gas background by means of short laser pulses (Nd:YAG laser wavelength λ = 1064 nm and pulse duration τL ≈ 6 ns; KrF laser λ = 248 nm and τL ≈ 20 ns). Plasma plume dynamics significantly depended on sample morphology. The ejection of non-luminous particles up to several hundreds of microseconds after the laser pulse was observed for powder and pressed powder target materials. Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) was employed for element analysis of iron oxide powders, pressed pellets and sintered ceramics. LIBS spectra of the different targets were comparable to each other and qualitatively independent of target morphology.  相似文献

Temperature dependent dielectric relaxation and thermodynamic properties of polyethylene glycols HO[CH2CH2O)nH with number average molecular weight 200 (n = 4), 300 (n = 7), 400 (n = 9) and 600 (n = 14) g mol− 1 have been studied using Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) in the frequency range 10 MHz to 20 GHz. The frequency dependence of the complex dielectric permittivity is analyzed by the Havriliak-Negami expression. The static permittivity ε0, high frequency limiting static permittivity ε, average relaxation time τ0 and thermodynamic energy parameters such as free energy, enthalpy of activation and entropy of activation have been determined. The average free energy of activation ΔFτ for PEG molecules was found to be in the range 4-5 kcal mol− 1. The values of entropy ΔSτ for PEG-200, PEG-400 and PEG-600 molecules were found to be positive while entropy ΔSτ for PEG-300 molecules was found negative, which confirms that the configuration of PEG-300 involved in the dipolar orientation has an activated state, which is more ordered than the normal state compared to PEG-200, PEG-400 and PEG-600 molecules.  相似文献

The sintering behavior, microstructures, and microwave dielectric properties of Ca2Zn4Ti15O36 ceramics with B2O3 addition were investigated. The crystalline phases and microstructures of Ca2Zn4Ti15O36 ceramics with 0-10 wt% B2O3 addition were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The sintering temperature of Ca2Zn4Ti15O36 ceramic was lowered from 1170 to 930 °C by 10 wt% B2O3 addition. Ca2Zn4Ti15O36 ceramics with 8 wt% B2O3 addition sintered at 990 °C for 2 h exhibited good microwave dielectric properties, i.e., a quality factor (Qf) 11,400 GHz, a relative dielectric constant (εr) 41.5, and a temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) 94.4 ppm/°C.  相似文献

In this paper, based on scanning electron microscope (SEM), the fracture morphology of poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate)/carbon black (EVA/CB) conductive composite with various cross-linkers 2,4-di(2-phenylisopropyl) phenol (DCP) contents were analysed by multifractal analysis. The relationship among the multifractal spectrum, cross-linker DCP content, the fracture morphology, fracture process and some mechanical property were discussed. The results showed that the larger the width Δαα = αmax − αmin) of the multifractal spectra f(α), the more nonuniform the fracture surface morphology, in other words, the more the roughness. Moreover, the width Δαα = αmax − αmin) of the multifractal spectra f(α) is the result of competition between ductile fracture and brittle fracture. Also, some mechanical property will correspondingly change when various cross-linker DCP contents were added. Multifractal analysis showed that the spectrum width Δαα = αmax − αmin) of the multifractal spectra f(α) could be used to characterize the surface morphology and mechanical property of EVA/CB conductive composite, quantitatively.  相似文献

In this work, we developed the multifractality and its formalism to investigate the surface topographies of ITO thin films prepared by electron beam deposition method for various annealing temperatures from their atomic force microscopy (AFM) images. Multifractal analysis shows that the spectrum width, Δαα = αmax − αmin), of the multifractal spectra, f(α), can be used to characterize the surface roughness of the ITO films quantitatively. Also, it is found that the f(α) shapes of the as-deposited and annealed films remained left hooked (that is Δf = f(αmin) − f(αmax) > 0), and falls within the range 0.149-0.677 depending upon the annealing temperatures.  相似文献

The microwave permeability dispersion behaviors and microwave-absorbing properties for different shapes of Sendust particles prepared by vibrating ball milling at 35 vol% in paraffin wax matrix have been investigated. The dispersion spectrum of permeability was calculated by the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation and Bruggeman’s effective medium theory. The calculated results are in agreement with the experiment data. According to the calculation results, the value of (μ0−1)fr (μ0 is static permeability, and fr is resonance frequency) for flake particle with larger aspect ratio reached 59.1 GHz and exceeded the Snoek’s limit. Considering the quarter-wavelength model and transmission line theory, the microwave absorption peak was discussed. At the frequency range, the flake particle with larger aspect ratio can make a thinner absorber. It provides a way to decrease layer thickness of magnetic absorber.  相似文献

One-dimensional particle-in-cell (PIC) program is used to simulate the generation of high power terahertz (THz) emission from the interaction of an ultrashort intense laser pulse with underdense plasma. The spectra of THz radiation are discussed under different laser intensity, pulse width, incident angle and density scale length. High-amplitude electron plasma wave driven by a laser wakefield can produce powerful THz emission through linear mode conversion under certain conditions. With incident laser intensity of 1018 W/cm2, the generated emission is computed to be of the order of several MV/cm field and tens of MW level power. The corresponding energy conversion efficiency is several ten thousandths, which is higher then the efficiency of other THz source and suitable for the studies of THz nonlinear physics.  相似文献

High permittivity and low-loss ceramic fillers have been prepared by means of the solid state ceramic route. Ceramic-filled composites were prepared by the Sigma Mixing, Extrusion, Calendering, which was followed by the Hot pressing (SMECH) process. The microwave dielectric properties of the composites were studied using X-band waveguide cavity perturbation technique. The temperature coefficient of the relative permittivity of the composites was investigated in the 0-100 °C temperature range using a hot and cold chamber coupled with an impedance analyzer. The temperature coefficient of the relative permittivity of the composites showed strong dependence on the temperature coefficient of the relative permittivity of the filler material. In the present study, a high-permittivity polymer/ceramic composite, having τεr ∼63 ppm/K, has been realized. This composite is suitable for outdoor wireless applications.  相似文献

We report on highly accurate absolute frequency measurement against a femtosecond frequency comb of six saturated absorption lines of formic acid (HCOOH) with an accuracy of 1 kHz. We also report the frequency measurement of 17 other lines with an accuracy of 2 kHz. Those lines are in quasi coincidence with the 9R(36) to 9R(42) CO2 laser emission lines and are probed either by a CO2 or a widely tunable quantum cascade laser phase locked to a master CO2 laser. The stability of HCOOH stabilized lasers is characterized by a fractional Allan deviation of 3.1 × 10−12 τ−1/2. They give suitable frequency references for Doppler-free two-photon spectroscopy.  相似文献
