Turbocharger rotor dynamics with foundation excitation   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
To investigate the effect of foundation excitation on the dynamical behavior of a turbocharger, a dynamic model of a turbocharger rotor-bearing system is established which includes the engine’s foundation excitation and nonlinear lubricant force. The rotor vibration response of eccentricity is simulated by numerical calculation. The bifurcation and chaos behaviors of nonlinear rotor dynamics with various rotational speeds are studied. The results obtained by numerical simulation show that the differences of dynamic behavior between the turbocharger rotor systems with/without foundation excitation are obviously. With the foundation excitation, the dynamic behavior of rotor becomes more complicated, and develops into chaos state at a very low rotational speed.  相似文献

建立了考虑轴承和隔振垫弹性的非对称支承转子实验台系统的非线性动力学碰摩模型, 应用数值分析的方法对其进行研究. 以转速为分叉参数,结合Poincar\'{e}截面和自相关函数图等, 分析隔振垫刚度对系统分叉与混沌动力学行为的影响. 分析结果表明, 隔振垫刚度对系统动力学行为有较大影响, 系统通向混沌的道路主要是阵发性分叉和倍周期分叉. 实验分析所得到的系统运动性质与数值模拟结果一致.  相似文献

The paper discusses the bifurcation and stability behavior of (automotive) turbochargers with full-floating ring bearings. Turbocharger rotors exhibit a highly nonlinear behavior due to the nonlinearities introduced by the floating ring bearings. A flexible multibody model of the rotor/bearing system is presented. Numerical run-up simulations are compared with corresponding test rig measurements. The nonlinear oscillation effects are thoroughly investigated by means of simulated and measured rotor vibrations. The influence of various system parameters on the bifurcation behavior of the rotor/bearing system is analyzed. The article examines rotors supported in full-floating ring bearings with plain circular bearing geometry in the inner and outer oil gap. By recapitulating the well-known oil whirl and oil whip phenomena for single and double oil film bearings, the paper gives an overview on the fundamental dynamic effects occurring in turbocharger systems.  相似文献

This paper presents numerical results on chaotic vibrations of a shallow cylindrical shell-panel under harmonic lateral excitation. The shell, with a rectangular boundary, is simply supported for deflection and the shell is constrained elastically in an in-plane direction. Using the Donnell--Mushtari--Vlasov equation, modified with an inertia force, the basic equation is reduced to a nonlinear differential equation of a multiple-degree-of-freedom system by the Galerkin procedure. To estimate regions of the chaos, first, nonlinear responses of steady state vibration are calculated by the harmonic balance method. Next, time progresses of the chaotic response are obtained numerically by the Runge--Kutta--Gill method. The chaos accompanied with a dynamic snap-through of the shell is identified both by the Lyapunov exponent and the Poincaré projection onto the phase space. The Lyapunov dimension is carefully examined by increasing the assumed modes of vibration. The effects of the in-plane elastic constraint on the chaos of the shell are discussed.  相似文献

系统参数随机性是影响准确预测转子动力学行为的重要因素。为此,研究了具有初始轴弯曲的不平衡柔性转子在故障参数随机情况下的不确定性分析问题。首先,基于转子动力学梁元有限元理论,推导了不平衡和轴弯曲故障共同作用下的系统稳态动力学方程,并以轴心轨迹长半轴作为关键响应量建立了柔性转子共振稳态响应与输入参数间的模型函数;其次,联合广义多项式混沌展开、留一法交叉验证以及最小角回归技术实现了柔性转子共振稳态响应的非嵌入式自适应稀疏多项式混沌展开,并与基于普通最小二乘法的多项式混沌展开和基于Monte Carlo仿真的结果作了对比分析,验证了自适应稀疏展开方案的有效性、精度和效率;最后,以构建的自适应稀疏多项式混沌展开式作为近似模型,重点分析了转子圆盘处一阶共振稳态响应的随机特性,并基于Sobol指标获得了响应对各故障参数的全局灵敏度指标。  相似文献

This work reports a numerical study undertaken to investigate the dynamic response of a rotor supported by two turbulent flow model journal bearings with nonlinear suspension and lubricated with couple stress fluid under quadratic damping. This may be the first time that analysis of rotor-bearing system considered the quadratic damping effect. The dynamic response of the rotor center and bearing center are studied. The analysis methods employed in this study are inclusive of the dynamic trajectories of the rotor center and bearing center, power spectra, Poincaré maps and bifurcation diagrams. The maximum Lyapunov exponent analysis is also used to identify the onset of chaotic motion. The modeling results provide some useful insights into the design and development of rotor-bearing system for rotating machinery that operates at highly rotational speed and highly nonlinear regimes.  相似文献

The performance of a ball bearing–rotor system is often limited by the occurrence of subharmonic resonance with considerable vibration and noise. In order to comprehend the inherent mechanism and the feature of the subharmonic resonance, a symmetrical rotor system supported by ball bearings is studied with numerical analysis and experiment in this paper. A 6DOF rotordynamic model which includes the non-linearity of ball bearings, Hertzian contact forces and bearing internal clearance, and the bending vibration of rotor is presented and an experimental rig is offered for the research of the subharmonic resonance of the ball bearing–rotor system. The dynamic response is investigated with the aid of orbit and amplitude spectrum, and the non-linear system stability is analyzed using the Floquet theory. All of the predicted results coincide well with the experimental data to validate the proposed model. Numerical and experimental results show that the resonance frequency is provoked when the speed is in the vicinity of twice synchroresonance frequency, while the rotor system loses stability through a period-doubling bifurcation and a period-2 motion i.e. subharmonic resonance occurs. It is found that the occurrence of subharmonic resonance is due to the together influence of the non-linear factors, Hertzian contact forces and internal clearance of ball bearings. The effect of unbalance load on subharmonic resonance of the rotor system is minor, which is different from that of the sliding bearing–rotor system. However, the moment of couple has an impact influence on the subharmonic resonances of the ball bearing–rotor system. The numerical and experimental results indicate that the subharmonic resonance caused by ball bearings is a noticeable issue in the optimum design and failure diagnosis of a high-speed rotary machinery.  相似文献

Like with other types of fluid bearings, rotors supported by floating ring bearings may become unstable with increasing speed of rotation due to self-excited vibrations. In order to study the effects of the nonlinear bearing forces, within this contribution a perfectly balanced symmetric rotor is considered which is supported by two identical floating ring bearings. Here, the bearing forces are modeled by applying the short bearing theory for both fluid films. A linear stability analysis about the static equilibrium position of the rotor shows that for a critical revolution speed the real part of an eigenvalue pair changes its sign. By means of a center manifold reduction it is shown that this destabilization of the steady state is due to a Hopf-bifurcation. Furthermore, the type of this bifurcation is determined as well as the existence and stability of limit-cycles. Notably it is found that depending on the parameters of the floating ring bearing subcritical as well as supercritical bifurcations may occur. Additionally, the analytical results obtained from the center manifold reduction are compared to numerical results by a continuation method. In conclusion, the influences of bearing design parameters on the stability and on the limit-cycles are discussed.  相似文献

分析了在动载轴承非稳态非线性油膜力作用下,具有横向裂纹柔性轴Jeffcott转子在非线性涡动影响下的动力特性。通过数值计算表明,在油膜失稳转速前,随着裂纹轴刚度变化比的增大,系统在低转速区域内具有丰富的非线性动力行为,出现倍周期分叉及混沌现象,涡动振幅随转速升高而减小,直到非稳态非线性油膜失稳,在无裂纹转子油膜临界失稳点处发现了类Hopf分叉现象,系统运动由平衡变为拟周期运动;裂纹转子在油膜临界失稳时的系统运动亦为拟周期运动,裂纹转子轴刚度变化对油膜失稳点及油膜失稳之后转子的运动影响不大,转子系统作拟周期运动。  相似文献

This paper investigates the phenomenon of chaos synchronization of two different chaotic complex systems of the Chen and Lü type via the methods of active control and global synchronization. In this regard, it generalizes earlier work on the synchronization of two identical oscillators in cases where the drive and response systems are different, the parameter space is larger, and the dimensionality increases due to the complexification of the dependent variables. The idea of chaos synchronization is to use the output of the drive system to control the response system so that the output of the response system converges to the output of the drive system as time increases. Lyapunov functions are derived to prove that the differences in the dynamics of the two systems converge to zero exponentially fast, explicit expressions are given for the control functions and numerical simulations are presented to illustrate the success of our chaos synchronization techniques. We also point out that the global synchronization method is better suited for synchronizing identical chaotic oscillators, as it has serious limitations when applied to the case where the drive and response systems are different.  相似文献

This research studies the effects of axial preload on nonlinear dynamic characteristics of a flexible rotor supported by angular contact ball bearings. A dynamic model of ball bearings is improved for modeling a five-degree-of-freedom rotor bearing system. The predicted results are in good agreement with prior experimental data, thus validating the proposed model. With or without considering unbalanced forces, the Floquet theory is employed to investigate the bifurcation and stability of system periodic solution. With the aid of Poincarè maps and frequency response, the unstable motion of system is analyzed in detail. Results show that the effects of axial preload applied to ball bearings on system dynamic characteristics are significant. The unstable periodic solution of a balanced rotor bearing system can be avoided when the applied axial preload is sufficient. The bifurcation margins of an unbalanced rotor bearing system enhance markedly as the axial preload increases and relates to system resonance speed.  相似文献

研究了两端弹性支承输流管道静态失稳和动态失稳临界流速. 根据梁模型横向弯曲振动模态 函数,由两端弹性支承的边界条件得到了其模态函数的一般表达式. 根据特征方程具体分析 了弹性支承刚度、质量比、流体压力和管截面轴向力等主要参数对失稳临界流速的影响. 数 值计算结果表明,管道在弹性支承下的动力稳定性比较复杂,在较小的弹性支承刚度和较小 的参数范围内,管道主要表现为动态颤振失稳;在较大的弹性支承刚度和较大的参数作用下, 管道的失稳形式主要表现为静态失稳;并且失稳临界流速随流体压力和管截面轴向压力的增 加而下降,随管截面轴向拉力的增加而上升.  相似文献

Interaction of a rotor with a stationary part is a kind of serious malfunction that could result in a catastrophic failure if remained undetected. Past analytical and numerical simulation work on rotor?Cstator interactions mainly focus on the vibrations along the lateral directions. The torsional degree of freedom (dof) is usually ignored. The present work is aimed to study the influence of a rotor to stator contact on the lateral-torsional coupled vibrations. A mathematical model consisting of interacting vibratory systems of rotor and stator is presented. The contact is modeled using contact stiffness, damping and Coulomb friction. Equations derived for kinetic, potential and dissipation energies and non-conservative external forces are used in the Langrange??s equations for deriving the motion equations for the rotor?Cstator system. Equations revealed that the lateral-torsional motion coupling exists twofold for the rotor. The unbalance couples lateral-torsional motion of rotor through inertia and damping matrices. Coupling due to the rotor?Cstator friction occurs through a force vector. The nonlinear equations are solved using a Runge?CKutta fourth-order numerical integration scheme using relatively small time step. Results obtained through the proposed model are compared with the identical rotor?Cstator system without torsional dof and differences are identified. Effect of several parameters such as speed, relative inertia, coefficient of friction and contact damping on the bifurcation behavior of the rotor?Cstator motion has been investigated. Vibration motions presented in the forms of spectrum cascade of the coast-up response, and orbit and Poincaré plots of the steady-state response are exhibiting rich dynamic behavior of the system.  相似文献

The dynamic behaviour of a rigid rotor elastically connected by a constant speed joint is investigated. The effects of inertial inequalities and stiffness inequalities are evaluated and the stability characteristics are worked out. The Floquet theory is extensively applied to this system in order to obtain the stability limit curves. Comparisons with experimental results obtained by other authors, available in the literature, are reported in order to verify the procedure. Results concerning the unsymmetrical rotors are widely shown through parameters values restricted to realistic cases.  相似文献

The various cases of synchronization in two identical hyperchaotic Lorenz systems with time delay are studied. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, the sufficient conditions for achieving synchronization of two identical hyperchaotic Lorenz systems with time delay are derived, and a simple scheme only with a single linear controller is proposed. When the parameters in the response system are known, the alternating between complete synchronization and hybrid synchronization (namely, coexistence of antiphase and complete synchronization) is observed with the control feedback gain varying. Furthermore, when the parameters in the response system are unknown, for the same feedback controller, the complete synchronization and the hybrid synchronization can be obtained, respectively, as the associated parameters updated laws of the unknown parameters are chosen. Numerical simulation results are presented to demonstrate the proposed chaos synchronization scheme.  相似文献

Cracks appearing in the shaft of a rotary system are one of the main causes of accidents for large rotary machine systems. This research focuses on investigating the bifurcation and chaotic behavior of a rotating system with considerations of various crack depth and rotating speed of the system’s shaft. An equivalent linear-spring model is utilized to describe the cracks on the shaft. The breathing of the cracks due to the rotation of the shaft is represented with a series truncated time-varying cosine series. The geometric nonlinearity of the shaft, the masses of the shaft and a disc mounted on the shaft, and the viscoelasticity of the supports are taken into account in modeling the nonlinear dynamic rotor system. Numerical simulations are performed to study the bifurcation and chaos of the system. Effects of the shaft’s rotational speed, various crack depths and viscosity coefficients on the nonlinear dynamic properties of the system are investigated in detail. The system shows the existence of rich bifurcation and chaos characteristics with various system parameters. The results of this research may provide guidance for rotary machine design, machining on rotary machines, and monitoring or diagnosing of rotor system cracks.  相似文献

汽车涡轮增压器广泛采用浮环轴承支承的小型轻质转子系统,以实现100 000~300 000 r/min的工作转速,提高发动机功率和动力性能,并降低燃油消耗和排放. 在此超高速工况下,动压油膜的强非线性作用和转子固有的不平衡效应使该系统呈现出复杂的动力学现象,其中油膜涡动、振荡、跳跃、倍周期分岔和混沌等非线性动力学行为对增压器的健康运转意义重大,因而备受关注. 本文作者从摩擦学动力学耦合的角度出发,基于流体动压轴承润滑理论和有限差分法计算非稳态油膜压力,结合达朗贝尔原理和传递矩阵法建立了转子离散化动力学方程,提出了一种由双油膜浮环支承的涡轮增压器转子系统动力学模型,并从转子轨迹、轴承偏心率、频谱响应、庞加莱映射和分岔特性等方面比较分析,描述了该非线性轴承-转子系统的不平衡效应及油膜失稳特征. 结果表明:转子一般在相对低速下作稳定的单周期不平衡振动,在高转速下其被油膜失稳引起的次同步涡动所抑制,但不平衡量的增加可阻碍转子以拟周期运动通向混沌运动的路径;适当不平衡补偿下,由于内、外油膜间交互的非线性刚度和阻尼作用,在油膜失稳区间之间的中高速区会出现适合增压器健康运转的稳定区间.   相似文献
