We show how a theorem about the solvability in C1,1C1,1 of special Isaacs equations can be used to obtain existence and uniqueness of viscosity solutions of general uniformly nondegenerate Isaacs equations. We apply it also to establish the C1+χC1+χ regularity of viscosity solutions and show that finite-difference approximations have an algebraic rate of convergence. The main coefficients of the Isaacs equations are supposed to be in CγCγ with γ slightly less than 1/2.  相似文献

Let FqFq be the finite field with q   elements. We give an algorithm for solving sparse linear systems of equations over FqFq when the coefficient matrix of the system has a specific structure, here called relatively connected. This algorithm is based on a well-known decoding algorithm for low-density parity-check codes called bit-flipping algorithm. We modify and extend this hard decision decoding algorithm. The complexity of this algorithm is linear in terms of the number of columns n and the number of nonzero coefficients ω of the matrix per iteration. The maximum number of iterations is bounded above by m, the number of equations.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to investigation of the Cauchy problem for nonlinear equations with a small parameter. They are actually small perturbations of linear elliptic equations in which case the Cauchy problem is ill-posed. To study the Cauchy problem we invoke purely nonlinear methods, such as successive iterations and LqLq Sobolev spaces with large qq. We also discuss linearisable problems.  相似文献

This paper investigates the solvability of discrete Dirichlet boundary value problems by the lower and upper solution method. Here, the second-order difference equation with a nonlinear right hand side ff is studied and f(t,u,v)f(t,u,v) can have a superlinear growth both in uu and in vv. Moreover, the growth conditions on ff are one-sided. We compute a priori bounds on solutions to the discrete problem and then obtain the existence of at least one solution. It is shown that solutions of the discrete problem will converge to solutions of ordinary differential equations.  相似文献

This paper studies the periodic feedback stabilization for a class of linear T  -periodic evolution equations. Several equivalent conditions on the linear periodic feedback stabilization are obtained. These conditions are related to the following subjects: the attainable subspace of the controlled evolution equation under consideration; the unstable subspace (of the evolution equation with the null control) provided by the Kato projection; the Poincaré map associated with the evolution equation with the null control; and two unique continuation properties for the dual equations on different time horizons [0,T][0,T] and [0,n0T][0,n0T] (where n0n0 is the sum of algebraic multiplicities of distinct unstable eigenvalues of the Poincaré map). It is also proved that a T-periodic controlled evolution equation is linear T-periodic feedback stabilizable if and only if it is linear T-periodic feedback stabilizable with respect to a finite-dimensional subspace. Some applications to heat equations with time-periodic potentials are presented.  相似文献

In this work, we study the linearized Navier–Stokes equations in an exterior domain of R3R3 at the steady state, that is, the Oseen equations. We are interested in the existence and the uniqueness of weak, strong and very weak solutions in LpLp-theory which makes our work more difficult. Our analysis is based on the principle that linear exterior problems can be solved by combining their properties in the whole space R3R3 and the properties in bounded domains. Our approach rests on the use of weighted Sobolev spaces.  相似文献

We study the regularity for solutions of fully nonlinear integro differential equations with respect to nonsymmetric kernels. More precisely, we assume that our operator is elliptic with respect to a family of integro differential linear operators where the symmetric parts of the kernels have a fixed homogeneity σ and the skew symmetric parts have strictly smaller homogeneity τ  . We prove a weak ABP estimate and C1,αC1,α regularity. Our estimates remain uniform as we take σ→2σ2 and τ→1τ1 so that this extends the regularity theory for elliptic differential equations with dependence on the gradient.  相似文献

We consider the spectrum associated with the linear operator obtained when a Cahn–Hilliard system on RnRn is linearized about a planar transition front solution. In the case of single Cahn–Hilliard equations on RnRn, it's known that under general physical conditions the leading eigenvalue moves into the negative real half plane at a rate |ξ|3|ξ|3, where ξ is the Fourier transform variable corresponding with components transverse to the wave. Moreover, it has recently been verified that for single equations this spectral behavior implies nonlinear stability. In the current analysis, we establish that the same cubic rate law holds for a broad range of multidimensional Cahn–Hilliard systems. It is well known that if a matrix A∈Cn×nACn×n solves the matrix equation f(A,AH)=0f(A,AH)=0, where f(x,y)f(x,y) is a linear bivariate polynomial, then A is normal; A   and AHAH can be simultaneously reduced in a finite number of operations to tridiagonal form by a unitary congruence and, moreover, the spectrum of A is located on a straight line in the complex plane. In this paper we present some generalizations of these properties for almost normal matrices which satisfy certain quadratic matrix equations arising in the study of structured eigenvalue problems for perturbed Hermitian and unitary matrices.  相似文献
