A simple model is applied to the yrast and yrare states based on the νh 11/2 ⊗ πh 11/2 configuration in the doubly-odd nuclei around the mass 130. In the model, the basis state is constructed by one neutron and one proton both in the 0h 11/2 orbital, and by the collective core which couples with the two particles through a quadrupole interaction. The model reproduces quite well the overall energy levels and the electromagnetic transitions. The analysis of the yrast and yrare states reveals that the angular-momentum configuration of the neutron and the proton in the yrast states is different from that in the yrare states, when the two particles are weakly coupled with the quadrupole collective excitations of the core. The strong even-odd staggering of the ratios B(M1;II - 1)/B(E2;II - 2) for the yrast states is described by the chopsticks-like motion of two angular momenta of the neutron and the proton.  相似文献

Nuclear structure of doublet bands in doubly odd nuclei with mass A ∼ 130 is investigated within the framework of a simple model where the even-even core couples with a neutron and a proton in intruder orbitals through a quadrupole-quadrupole interaction. The model reproduces quite well the energy levels of doublet bands and electromagnetic transitions. The staggering of the ratios B(M1;II - 1)/B(E2;II - 2) of the yrast bands turns out to be described by the chopsticks-like motion of two angular momenta of the unpaired neutron and the unpaired proton when they are weakly coupled with the core.-1 An erratum to this article is available at .  相似文献

High-spin states in 123Cs, populated via the 100Mo ( 28Si, p4n) fusion-evaporation reaction at E lab = 130 MeV, have been investigated employing in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic techniques. Rotational bands, built on πg 7/2, πg 9/2 and the unique-parity πh 11/2 orbitals, have been extended and evolve into bands involving rotationally aligned ν(h 11/2)2 and π(h 11/2)2 quasiparticles. A three-quasiparticle band based on the high-K πh 11/2 ⊗ νg 7/2 ⊗ νh 11/2 configuration has also been observed. Total Routhian Surface (TRS) calculations have been used to predict the nuclear shape parameters ( β2, β4, γ) for the various assigned configurations. The assigned configurations have been discussed in the framework of a microscopic theory based on the deformed Hartree-Fock (HF) and angular-momentum projection techniques.  相似文献

High-spin states in the 135Ba nucleus have been studied with the reaction 130Te(9Be, 4n) at a beam energy of 45 MeV. The level scheme based on the h 11/2 isomer has been expanded with spins up to 35/2 ℏ. At low spins, the yrast collective structure built on the ν h 11/2 -1 multiplet may show a transitional shape with γ > 30° according to the systematical behavior observed in neighboring nuclei as well as the calculations of the triaxial rotor-plus-particle model. The configurations for several high-spin states have been discussed from a systematical comparison with neighboring isotones.  相似文献

The collective band structures of the 125Cs nucleus have been investigated by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic techniques following the 110Pd ( 19F, 4n) reaction at 75MeV. The previously known level scheme, with rotational bands built on πg7/2, πg9/2 and πh11/2 orbitals, has been extended and evolves into bands involving rotationally aligned ν(h11/2)2 and π(h11/2)2 quasiparticles. A strongly coupled band has been reassigned a high-K πh11/2 ⊗ νg7/2 ⊗ νh11/2 three-quasiparticle configuration and a new side band likely to be its chiral partner has been identified. Configurations assigned to various bands are discussed in the framework of Principal/Tilted Axis Cranking (PAC/TAC) model calculations.  相似文献

The decay of 75Se to levels of 75As has been studied using an HPGe detector for gamma-ray and a mini-orange electron spectrometer for conversion electron measurements. We identify 38 transitions in this decay, including 18 gamma rays and 16 conversion electron lines reported for the first time. New results also include E2 multipolarity assignment for the 81 keV transition, M1 assignment to three newly observed transitions and M1 + E2 for the 617 keV transition. A revised 75As level scheme is constructed using the Ritz combination principle through the computer code GTOL. While confirming the existence of 10 well-established levels, two levels at 587 and 859 keV are newly placed into the decay scheme of 75Se. The interpretation of the observed levels in terms of various theoretical approaches is briefly discussed. The newly placed 586.8 keV 1/2- and 859.9 keV 1/2+ levels are studied in the light of the Interacting Boson-Fermion Model.  相似文献

High-spin states of 117Xe were investigated by means of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic techniques via the reaction of 28Si bombarding a 92Mo target at beam energies of 100-120 MeV. A positive-parity rotational band decaying into the yrast negative-parity band by a series of enhanced E1 transitions was observed for the first time, implying the existence of octupole correlations in 117Xe. The B(E1) values increase with spin. The νd5/2 band was firmly established up to 27/2+ and the B(M1)/B(E2) ratios were extracted from the relative intensities of γ-rays in this band. The previously known νh11/2 and νg7/2 [413]5/2+α=−1/2 bands were confirmed and extended up to high spins and two bandcrossings are observed in the latter at ħω=0.33 and 0.44 MeV, respectively. The bandcrossings and configurations of these bands are discussed by TRS and CSM calculations. In a γ–γ–t measurement, the 11/2 and 7/2 levels were identified as two isomers with half-lives of 59.4±20 ns and 16.5±8.0 ns, respectively. With new high statistic data, new isotopes and new high-spin structures are observed in neutron-rich nuclei populated in the spontaneous fission of 252Cf. The 135Te levels are extended, and many new levels in 139,141Ba observed. The coexistence of collective and single particle-hole states is found in 135Te. The N = 83 135Te and 139Ba show marked differences associated with differences in their particle and hole states. New levels in 141Ba complete evidence for two opposite-parity doublets characteristic of stable octupole deformation. In 114,116Pd a second backbend is observed for the first time in this mass region and the backbend in 118Pd occurs earlier than in 112-116Pd because of a reduction in pairing. Gamma-type vibrational bands are seen up to 13+ to 15+ in 104,106Mo, 108-112Ru, and 112-116Pd. Their behavior reflects prolate to triaxial shapes in these nuclei. The levels of 162,164Gd are observed for the first time. As N increases toward mid-shell at 104, the moments of inertia in N = 100 164Gd show an unexpected decrease compared to N = 98 162Gd. The levels in 162,164Gd form remarkable shifted identical bands with nuclei separated by 2n, 2p, α, and 2α. Excited levels in 140Xe and 142Xe nuclei, populated in the spontaneous fission of 248Cm, were studied by means of prompt γ-ray spectroscopy, using EUROGAM2 array. We report the first observation of an octupole band in 142Xe and extend the octupole band in 140Xe. Level schemes of 140Xe and 142Xe obtained in this work show patterns characteristic of ocupole-vibrational bands. Properties of octupole bands in Xe isotopes indicate that octupole correlations in these nuclei are lower than in the corresponding Ba nuclei. The electric dipole moment of 142Xe was found to be larger than in other Xe isotopes, contrary to theoretical predictions. This may be due to the special role of the N = 88 neutron number. The decay of neutron-rich isotope 113Ru obtained as on-line mass separated product of proton-induced fission has been investigated by γγ coincidence and spectrum multiscaling measurements. Decay schemes for both low- and high-spin isomers of 113Ru have been constructed. The level scheme of 113Rh is considerably extended. Systematics of the lowest-lying rhodium levels is smooth. The picture of shape coexistence established for neutron-rich Rh isotopes near-neutron midshell is confirmed with the observation of a K = 1/2 deformed band, with its 3/2+ state at 600 keV being the lowest-lying level and of probable 7/2+ and 5/2+ band members. A large fraction of β feeding is found to populate high-lying levels in 113Rh. The GT strength in 113Rum decay is significantly larger than for the decay of 113Rug and of lighter rhodium isotopes. Excited states of 142Ce, populated in deep inelastic reactions of 82Se projectiles bombarding 139La target, have been studied up to medium spins using in-beam γ spectroscopy techniques. Three new levels have been identified at 2625, 2995, 3834 keV, and assigned as 8+, 9(-) and 11(-), respectively. These new yrast states follow closely the level systematics of the even mass N = 84 isotones. Their strctures have been discussed with the help of empirical shell model calculations. New excited states have been observed in the neutron deficient isotope 98Ag following the 58Ni+50Cr →108Te* heavy–ion reaction. One of these states may be interpreted as a maximum spin aligned state of the πg9/2 −3νg7/2 configuration. Other possible interpretations within the nuclear shell model are discussed as well. The decays of 112Rh g and 112Rh m obtained as on-line mass separated fission products have been investigated by standard β and γ spectroscopic techniques and γ-γ angular correlations. Low-lying 0+ and 2+ states are identified in the daughter nucleus 112Pd. Systematics suggests the existence of an intruder band which is the lowest in 110Pd, i.e. two neutrons before the midshell. The 113Ru and 113Rh nuclei, produced in the spontaneous fission of 248Cm and in proton-induced fission of 238U , were studied by means of prompt gamma spectroscopy using the EUROGAM 2 array of Anti-Compton spectrometers and the IGISOL mass separator, respectively. For the 0.5s isomer, found in 113Ru in our recent study we propose the 7/2-[523] configuration. The present data indicate spin and parity 1/2+ for the ground state in 113Ru . This and some new data on the excited levels in 113Rh allows reinterpretation and a better understanding of the β- {} decay scheme of 113Ru . The properties of 113Ru were studied in the frame of the Core-Quasiparticle Coupling model, which has well reproduced the experimental data.  相似文献

A chemically selective laser ion source has been used in a β-decay study of heavy Ag isotopes into even-even Cd nuclides. Gamma-spectroscopic techniques in time-resolving event-by-event and multiscaling modes have permitted the identification of the first 2+ and 4+ levels in 126Cd78, 128Cd80, and tentatively the 2+ state in 130Cd82. From a comparison of these new states in 48Cd with the E(2+) and E(4+)/E(2+) level systematics of 46Pd and 52Te isotopes and several recent model predictions, possible evidence for a weakening of the spherical N = 82 neutron-shell below double-magic 132Sn is obtained. The band structures built on the 5- isomeric state ( T 1/2 = 3.46 m) in the doubly odd 130Cs nucleus have been established up to I = 24? via the 124Sn(11B, 5n)130Cs reaction. The previously observed bands based on the πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2, πg 7/2⊗νh 11/2 and πd 5/2⊗νh 11/2 configurations and a positive-parity side band with multiple connections to the α = 0 signature partner of the yrast πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2 band have been extended to higher spins. A new band based on the πh 11/2⊗νg 7/2 configuration is observed. The yrast πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2 band exhibits anomalous signature splitting whose magnitude decreases up to spin 15 and then increases without restoring the normal signature splitting. The even-even nucleus 122Ba was studied via in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy using the 40Ca + 92Mo reaction at 190 MeV. Five bands were observed, four more that can be found in the literature. The first evidence for excited states in 95Ag is presented. 95Ag is the heaviest T z = 1/2 nucleus for which gamma-rays have been identified. The reaction 40Ca(58Ni, 1p2n)95Ag was used in the experiment, which resulted in the assignment of three gamma-rays to 95Ag. A detector system consisting of the detector arrays Euroball, Neutron Wall and Euclides was used to detect gamma-rays, neutrons and charged particles, respectively. High-spin states of the N = 87 nuclei, 147Nd and 145Ce, have been populated in the 12C + 238U and 18O + 208Pb fusion-fission reactions at 90 MeV and 85 MeV bombarding energy, respectively. The emitted γ-radiation was detected using the Euroball III and IV arrays. High-spin states of the 147Nd isotope have been identified for the first time. The high-spin yrast and near-to-yrast structures of the 145Ce nucleus have been considerably extended. The newly observed structures, discussed by analogy with the neighbouring isotones, show the coupling of an h9/2 neutron to the quadrupole and octupole excitations of the core.  相似文献
