On infinite products of non-Archimedean measure spaces

We study generalized ‘probabilistic measures’ taking values in non-Archimedean fields (in particular, fields of p-adic numbers). We prove the theorem on the existence of probability on a product of non-Archimedean probabilistic spaces.     

Rings of quotients of some infinite dimensional path algebras

We compute the maximal symmetric ring of quotients of infinite dimensional path algebras that can be approximated by finite dimensional path algebras.     

On the 4-dissections of certain infinite products

In this note, we give a generalization of Hirschhorn’s formulas on the 4-dissections of Ramanujan’s continued fraction R(q) and R ^?1(q) which were conjectured by Hirschhorn and proved by Lewis and Liu.

On infinite products of functions in compact riemann surfaces

Letν′ be the complementary of a point ∞ in a compact Riemann surfaceν. The normal convergence in compact subsets ofν′ of an infinite product of meromorphic functions (with polynomic exponential singularities at ∞ of bounded degree) is shown in this paper to be equivalent to a certain type of convergence of the double series of Newton sums of the divisors of its factors. This applies, for instance, to products of Baker functions inν′ and to products of meromorphic functions inν. The result for this last case is also generalized to complementaries of arbitrary nonvoid finite subsets ofν. Research supported by SA30/00B.     

Accelerating infinite products

Slowly convergent infinite products are considered, where is a sequence of numbers, or a sequence of linear operators. Using an asymptotic expansion for the “remainder” of the infinite product a method for convergence acceleration is suggested. The method is in the spirit of the d-transformation for series. It is very simple and efficient for some classes of sequences . For complicated sequences it involves the solution of some linear systems, but it is still effective. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

Weak infinite products of Blaschke products

We study weak infinite products for sequences of Blaschke products. Using properties of these functions, -subsets of zero sets of functions in are studied. An affirmative answer is given to a problem on prime ideals of posed by Gorkin and Mortini.

     

On infinite products of positive linear operators reproducing linear functions

Infinite products of positive linear operators (p.l.o.) reproducing linear functions are considered from a quantitative point of view. Refining and generalizing convergence theorems of Gwó?d?-?ukawska, Jachymski, Gavrea, Ivan and the present authors, it is shown that infinite products of certain positive linear operators, all taken from a finite set of mappings reproducing linear functions, weakly converge to the first Bernstein operator. A discussion of products of Meyer-König and Zeller operators is included.     

One-relator quotients of free products of cyclic groups

Abstract

The question of existence of n-ary systems playing the role of enveloping algebras for Filippov (n-Lie) algebras is investigated. We consider the ternary algebras whose reduced binary algebras are associative, the associative algebras, and two other classes of ternary algebras as possible enveloping algebras.
