We derive twenty five basic identities of symmetry in three variables related to higher-order Euler polynomials and alternating power sums. This demonstrates that there are abundant identities of symmetry in three-variable case, in contrast to two-variable case, where there are only a few. These are all new, since there have been results only about identities of symmetry in two variables. The derivations of identities are based on the p-adic integral expression of the generating function for the higher-order Euler polynomials and the quotient of integrals that can be expressed as the exponential generating function for the alternating power sums.  相似文献

An alternative proof for the explicit equations of motion for mechanical systems with independent non-ideal constraints is proposed in this paper. These equations are derived without the use of generalized inverse matrices and based on the decomposition of the constraint forces along the acceleration-constrained flat surface and its normal plane.  相似文献

The aim of this research is to present a new iterative procedure in approximating nonlinear system of algebraic equations with applications in integral equations as well as partial differential equations (PDEs). The presented scheme consists of several steps to reach a high rate of convergence and also an improved index of efficiency. Our main interest in this paper is the resolution of the problem of controllability of interconnected nonlinear delay systems in function space, from which hopefully the existence of an optimal control law can be deduced later. We insist that each subsystem be controlled by its own variables while taking into account the interacting effects. This is the recent basic insight of [13] on ordinary differential systems. Controllability is deduced for the composite system from the assumption of controllability of each free subsystem and a growth condition of the interconnecting structure. Conditions for a free system’s controllability are given. One application is presented. The insight it provides for the growth of global economy has important policy implications.  相似文献

We give explicit formulas for the eigenvectors of the transfer matrix of the Baxter-Bazhanov-Stroganov (BBS) model (N-state spin model) with fixed-spin boundary conditions. We obtain these formulas from the formulas for the eigenvectors of the periodic BBS model by a limit procedure. The latter formulas were derived in the framework of Sklyanin’s method of separation of variables. In the case of fixed-spin boundaries, we solve the corresponding T-Q Baxter equations for the functions of separated variables explicitly. The minimal representation of O(p,q) (p+q: even) is realized on the Hilbert space of square integrable functions on the conical subvariety of Rp+q–2. This model presents a close resemblance of the Schrödinger model of the Segal–Shale–Weil representation of the metaplectic group. The aim of the present work is to find the numerical solutions for time‐fractional coupled Burgers equations using a new novel technique, called fractional natural decomposition method (FNDM). Two examples are considered in order to illustrate and validate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm. The numerical simulation has been conducted to ensure the exactness of the present method, and the obtained solutions are offered graphically to reveal the applicability and reliability of the FNDM. The outcomes of the study reveal that the FNDM is computationally very effective and accurate to study the (2 + 1)‐dimensional coupled Burger equations of arbitrary order.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a posteriori error estimates of the upwind symmetric interior penalty Galerkin (SIPG) method for the control constrained optimal control problems governed by linear diffusion–convection–reaction partial differential equations. Residual based error estimators are used for the state, the adjoint and the control. An adaptive mesh refinement indicated by a posteriori error estimates is applied. Numerical examples are presented for convection dominated problems to illustrate the theoretical findings and the effectiveness of the adaptivity.  相似文献

We introduce a hierarchy of integrable partial differential equations in 2+1 dimensions arising from the commutation of one-parameter families of vector fields, and we construct the formal solution of the associated Cauchy problems using the inverse scattering method for one-parameter families of vector fields. Because the space of eigenfunctions is a ring, the inverse problem can be formulated in three distinct ways. The singularity manifold equation of the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation, the so-called Krichever-Novikov equation, has an exact linearization to an overdetermined system of partial differential equations in three independent variables. We study in detail the Cauchy problem for this system as an example for the use of the formal theory of differential equations. A general existence and uniqueness theorem is established. Formal theory is then contrasted with Janet-Riquier theory in the formulation of Reid. Finally, the implications of the results for the Krichever-Novikov equation are outlined.  相似文献

In this paper, we expand asymptotically the general representation formulae for (C o) m-parameter operator semigroups. When we consider special semigroups, our results yield the asymptotic expansions for multivariate Feller operators.
