Quarter wave plates are optical elements commonly used in photoelasticity to obtain circularly polarized light. They divide the incident light field into two linearly polarized orthogonal components with a phase difference of a quarter of the light wavelength. Due to the tolerance in manufacturing, however, the actual phase shifting produced by the plates is affected by an error, which noticeably influences the photoelastic measurements performed by means of various automated methods. This paper presents a technique, based on the phase stepping method, for the full field automatic evaluation of the quarter wave plate error.  相似文献

A bond diluted spin-1 Ising model with crystal and transverse field interactions is examined for honeycomb lattice by introducing an effective field approximation that takes into account the correlations between different spins that emerge when expanding the identities. The effects of the crystal field as well as the transverse field and dilution on the phase diagrams and order parameter mz are discussed in detail. A number of interesting and unusual phenomena such as reentrant phenomena and three successive phase transitions originating from the crystal field as well as the transverse field and bond dilution have been found.  相似文献

 从惠更斯-菲涅耳原理出发,得到了含有色差项的1/4圆光束在焦平面上的光场积分表达式(对于光束口径),以及具有不同相位延迟的4束1/4圆光束相干叠加后的光场表达式,并建立了该相干叠加场的远场的数学模型,并对光束口径为10 cm,焦距为200 cm,脉宽1 ps的实例进行了模拟,得到了单光束、4个子光束间无相差和存在相位差三种情况下的远场强度分布图。结果表明,单束1/4圆光束的远场不再中心对称,而是轴对称;当子光束间存在π相位差时远场将出现明显的焦斑分裂,因此光栅拼接应将束间相差控制在远小于π的水平上。  相似文献

 以I/II类角度失谐三倍频方案为例,详细讨论了在高强度三次谐波转换过程中入射基频光的位相扰动和振幅调制对三倍频光位相扰动的影响,定量分析了基频光和三倍频光的位相扰动之间的变化关系。模拟结果表明,三倍频光的位相扰动幅度近似为基频光的三倍;入射基频光的位相分布对三倍频光的影响比振幅调制的影响更加明显,但是当入射功率密度较大时,基频光的振幅调制对三倍频光位相分布的影响明显增大。  相似文献

用(1,1)阶Pad啨近似的广角BPM计算了阵列波导光栅(AWG)中由于阵列波导间耦合造成的相位畸变以及由于相位畸变引起的相位误差分别考虑了光从中心/非中心输入波导入射两种情况结果表明,波导间的耦合会造成显著的相位畸变,但由此引起的相位误差却很小,光从中心输入波导入射时对应的相位误差10-3rad,从非中心输入波导入射时的相位误差约为10-2rad针对波导阵列边缘效应引起的相位畸变,设计AWG结构时,在阵列部分两侧增加了边缘辅助波导结构,从而消除了边缘效应,使得边缘阵列波导对应的相位误差从10-1rad量级减小为10-3(10-2)rad量级.  相似文献

In this paper, the new method of determination of the topological charge of vortex points in the interference field obtained by three plane waves interference is presented. Such optical fields are used in the optical vortex interferometer (OVI) and the determination of vortex points’ topological charge allows of unique determination of the relative phase between interfering waves (phase unwrapping problem). The new method uses additional plane wave, which produce a characteristic fork-like fringe structure in the neighbourhood of vortex points. By analysing the orientation of these fork-like patterns one can read the sign of the topological charge of the given vortex point. The method is simple and can be used for OVI calibration performed before the measurements.  相似文献

Personal recollections give a sampling of some of Onsager's later interests in ice and biomembranes. The author's involvement in these topics led to modeling a particular biomembrane phase transition using dimer models. Recent work is described for a particularly rich dimer model which is isomorphic to the F-model in three kinds of fields (direct, staggered, and quarter). New results for the full three-dimensional phase diagram show (1) how the anomalous OK multicritical point is destroyed by a direct field, and (2) how a new line of critical points must be added to the phase diagram in direct and staggered fields obtained previously by Baxter, due to diverging susceptibilities in the quarter field.  相似文献

The authors consider a stochastic model based on the interaction and phase coupling amongst wave components that are modified envelope soliton solutions to the nonlinear Schrödinger equation. A probabilistic study is carried out and the resulting findings are compared with ocean wave field observations and laboratory experimental results. The wave height probability distribution obtained from the model is found to match well with prior data in the large wave height region. From the eigenvalue spectrum obtained through the Inverse Scattering Transform, it is revealed that the deep-water wave groups move at a speed different from the linear group speed, which justifies the inclusion of phase correction to the envelope solitary wave components. It is determined that phase synchronization amongst elementary solitary wave components can be critical for the formation of extreme waves in unidirectional sea states.  相似文献

An algorithm based on the principal component analysis (PCA) is proposed to measure transparent surface topography. First, many frames of random phase shifted fringe patterns are captured. Second, the first and second principal components are extracted from the phase shifted fringe patterns by PCA. Then, the phase is calculated from principal components. Finally, the correct global phase sign is determined by the clustering method considering local fringe phase monotonicity. The experimental results show that the proposed method can directly extract the three-dimensional (3D) shape, which does not need to determine the amount of phase shift, without precise phase shifter. It reduces the experimental hardware requirements and improves its adaptability in profilometry.  相似文献

We propose a new approach for the denoising of a phase fringe pattern recorded in an optical interferometric setup. The phase fringe pattern which is generally corrupted by high amount of speckle noise is first converted into an exponential phase field. This phase field is divided into a number of overlapping patches. Owing to the small size of each patch, the presence of a simple structure of the interference phase is assumed in it. Accordingly, the singular value decomposition (SVD) of the patch allows us to separate the signal and noise components effectively. The patch is reconstructed only with the signal component. In order to further improve the robustness of the proposed method, an enhanced data matrix is generated using the patch and the SVD of this enhanced matrix is computed. The matrix enhancement results in an increased dimension of the noise subspace which thus accommodates more amount of noise component. Reassignment of the filtered pixels of the preceding patch in the current patch improves the noise filtering accuracy. The fringe denoising capability in function of the noise level and the patch size is studied. Simulation and experimental results are provided to demonstrate the practical applicability of the proposed method.  相似文献

The relation is developed between rotation generators of the Lorentz group and the magnetic fields of free-space electromagnetism. Using these classical relations, it is shown that in the quantum field theory there exists a longitudinal photomagneton, a quantized magnetic flux density operator which is directly proportional to the photon spin angular momentum. Commutation relations are given in the quantum field between the longitudinal photomagneton and the usual transverse magnetic components of quantized electromagnetism. The longitudinal component is phase free, but the transverse components are phase dependent. All three components can magnetize material in general, but only the transverse components contribute to Planck's law. The photon therefore has three, not two, relativistically invariant degrees of polarization, an axial, longitudinal, polarization, and the usual right and left circular transverse polarizations. Since the longitudinal polarization is axial, it is a phase- free magnetic field.  相似文献

We report on a solution to the problem of phase noise in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments. Phase noise refers to the variation in the phases of NMR signals from successive acquisitions due to an unstable applied field. Such a situation exists in high-field resistive Bitter magnets and, for sufficiently long timescales, can cause serious signal degradation upon signal averaging. An inductive shield, formed by a highly conducting metal tube placed around the sample and along the applied field, provides screening of the AC components of the applied field and thereby retains phase coherence over long periods. Although simple in principle there are technical difficulties for practical implementation of this method. We present demonstrations of the utility of this approach. In particular, we show a significant extension of the effective transverse coherence time of the 13C resonance in doubly 13C-labeled glycerol in a resistive Bitter magnet. This was accomplished through the use of a highly conducting aluminum shield, cooled to 4 K with liquid helium.  相似文献

The stable and metastable states of different configurations of a mesoscopic loop in the form of an eight is studied in the presence of a magnetic field. We find that for certain configurations the current is equal to zero for any value of the magnetic field leading to a magnetic field independent superconducting state. The state with fixed phase circulation becomes unstable when the momentum of the superconducting electrons reaches a critical value. At this moment the kinetic energy of the superconducting condensate becomes of the same order as the potential energy of the Cooper pairs and it leads to an instability. Numerical analysis of the time-dependent Ginzburg–Landau equations shows that the absolute value of the order parameter changes gradually at the transition from a state with one phase circulation to another although the vorticity change occurs abruptly.  相似文献

In this article we present results concerning phase transitions and physical properties of the ferroelectric phase of the compound (S)-4-(1-methylheptyloxy)biphenyl–4'-(heptyloxy phenyl)-4-carboxylate (MHOBOPO7). The compound has the following phases: smectic ferroelectric C (SmC*), chiral nematic N*, and two defected phases, TGBC and blue phase. The mesomorphic properties were investigated by means of three complementary methods: differential scanning calorimetry, polarizing light optical microscopy, and transmitted light intensity. The electro-optical measurements were carried out on an ordered sample in a middle electric field during very slow cooling from the nematic phase to the ferroelectric phase.  相似文献

The dynamic properties of phase diagrams in cylindrical ferroelectric nanotubes were investigated by utilizing the effective-field theory with correlations. Three different structure mechanisms are discussed by performing three different interaction functions. Effects of structure factors of the ferroelectric nanotubes are shown in phase diagrams. A linear relation between the crossover value of transverse field in inner-layer of nanotube and the exchange interaction are revealed. Moreover, for the first time, the phase transition characteristics are shown both in 2-D and 3-D phase diagrams by comparing the variations of the ferroelectric region and the morphology vividly. In comparison, results of the usual mean-field approximation are also presented in some phase diagrams, it suggest that the differential operator technique with correlations reduces some extent of the ferroelectric features of the ferroelectric nanotube.  相似文献

研究了LaB6在1~10 Pa氮气和氦气中的直流和脉冲放电特性以及放电过程对电极的影响。结果表明,电极直径为5 mm的LaB6氦气放电管在脉冲工作状态下可以长期稳定放电。在脉冲电压为2.2 kV、脉冲宽度10 ms、频率13.3 Hz下,脉冲峰值放电电流超过120 A。氦气放电管在放电过程中,阴极表面有离子的清洗和活化作用,可以使电极的表面逸出功降低,提高放电管的发射能力和稳定性。LaB6作为气体放电电极具有寿命长、延迟时间短、放电电流大等优点,可用于重复强流脉冲气体放电的高压高速开关器件。  相似文献

本文详细讨论了制约相衬显微镜衬比的各种因素,并针对不同的被观察样本提出了合适的观察方法。首先,叙述了相衬显微镜和暗场显微镜的基本原理,并根据观察时的实际情况,定义了衬比Fc.然后,分纯相位物体和既有振幅变化又有相位变化的物体两种情况,对影响衬比的各种因素进行了详细讨论,得出了相衬显微镜的衬比最大的条件,并比较了各种条件下相衬显微镜和暗场显微镜的灵敏度,从中得出:在观察弱纯相位变化的物体时,相衬显微镜要比暗场显微镜有效些;在观察既有振幅变化又有相位变化的物体时,相衬显微镜和暗场显微镜要比明场显微镜有效些,但视场中的光强变化已是物体的振幅变化和相位变化的混合效应,而不能单独反映出相位变化。  相似文献

超表面是一种人工制造的亚波长结构阵列平面,重量轻,易集成,可实现多种功能,被广泛应用于诸多领域。传统光谱成像系统依赖于色散元件及光程累积相位差实现不同波长的色散与聚焦,无法满足系统集成化需求。不同于传统光学元件依赖电磁波在介质中传播累积相位差,超表面依靠界面相位变化来进行相位调控,可实现十分轻薄的光学系统。研究传输相位型超表面,使用时域有限差分算法(FDTD算法)优化单元结构。将超表面引入光谱成像系统中,通过优化亚波长结构尺寸,进行结构排布,开展超表面光谱成像系统研究,实现多波长色散与聚焦独立调控。利用该方法,扫描不同单元结构参数对相位的影响,依照聚焦的相位分布针对不同波长设计对应的位相分布,仿真实现了一个波段范围为510~720 nm,焦距为2 mm,谱段数为八个的超表面多光谱成像系统。通过电磁仿真软件FDTD solutions和数据处理软件计算全模结构电场的远场分布,并分析了系统的成像性能。相比于传统光栅或棱镜分光结构,超表面光谱成像系统可有效减小系统体积,其超轻、超薄、便携特点解决了现有光谱成像系统的应用局限性,为小型化、轻量化光谱成像系统的研制提供了一种新的解决方案。  相似文献

We propose a method for simultaneously measuring the front and back surface profiles of transparent optical components. The proposed method combines dual wavelength transmission deflectometry with liquids to record distorted phases at different wavelengths, and then numerically reconstructs the three-dimensional phase information to image the front and back surfaces of the lens. We propose a theoretical model to determine the surface information, and the imaging of achromatic lenses is experimentally demonstrated. Unlike conventional transmission deflectometry, our proposed method supports direct observation of the front and back surface profiles of the optical elements. Compared with other techniques such as interferometry, the proposed setup is simpler to align, has lower cost, and does not require coherent illumination. The proposed method can be applied to normal transmission deflectometry for determining the three-dimensional surface profiles of optical components.  相似文献
