The adsorption behavior of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) toward copper has been investigated systemically, and a new method has been developed for the determination of trace copper in water samples based on preconcentration with a microcolumn packed with MWNTs prior to its determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The optimum experimental parameters for preconcentration of copper, such as pH of the sample, sample flow rate and volume, elution solution and interfering ions, have been investigated. Copper can be quantitatively retained by MWNTs in the pH range 5-8, and then eluted completely with 0.5 M HNO3. The detection limit of this method for Cu was 0.42 ng/mL, and the RSD was 3.5% at the 10 ng/mL Cu level. The method was validated using a certified reference material, and has been successfully applied for the determination of trace copper in water samples.  相似文献

A novel bis(indolyl)methane‐modified silica reinforced with multiwalled carbon nanotubes sorbent for solid‐phase extraction was designed and synthesized by chemical immobilization of nitro‐substituted 3,3′‐bis(indolyl)methane on silica modified with multiwalled carbon nanotubes. Coupled with high‐performance liquid chromatography analysis, the extraction properties of the sorbent were evaluated for flavonoids and aromatic organic acid compounds. Under optimum conditions, the sorbent can simultaneously extract five flavonoids and two aromatic organic acid preservatives in aqueous solutions in a single‐step solid‐phase extraction procedure. Wide linear ranges were obtained with correlation coefficients (R2) ranging from 0.9843 to 0.9976, and the limits of detection were in the range of 0.5–5 μg/L for the compounds tested. Compared with the silica modified with multiwalled carbon nanotubes sorbent and the nitro‐substituted 3,3′‐bis(indolyl)methane‐modified silica sorbent, the developed sorbent exhibited higher extraction efficiency toward the selected analytes. The synergistic effect of nitro‐substituted 3,3′‐bis(indolyl)methane and multiwalled carbon nanotubes not only improved the surface‐to‐volume ratio but also enhanced multiple intermolecular interactions, such as hydrogen bonds, π–π, and hydrophobic interactions, between the new sorbent and the selected analytes. The as‐established solid‐phase extraction with high‐performance liquid chromatography and diode array detection method was successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of flavonoids and aromatic organic acid preservatives in grape juices with recoveries ranging from 83.9 to 112% for all the selected analytes.  相似文献

Multiwalled carbon nanotubes functionalized by oxidation of original multiwalled carbon nanotubes with NaClO were prepared and their application as solid phase extraction sorbent for 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) was investigated systemically, and a new method was developed for the determination of trace 2,4-D in water samples based on extraction and preconcentration of 2,4-D with solid phase extraction columns packed with NaClO-treated multiwalled carbon nanotubes prior to its determination by HPLC. The optimum experimental parameters for preconcentration of 2,4-D, including the column activating conditions, the amount of the sorbent, pH of the sample, elution composition, and elution volume, were investigated. The results indicated 2,4-D could be quantitatively retained by 100 mg NaClO-treated multiwalled carbon nanotubes at pH 5, and then eluted completely with 10 mL 3:1 (v/v) methanol-ammonium acetate solution (0.3 mol/L). The detection limit of this method for 2,4-D was 0.15 μg/L, and the relative standard deviation was 2.3% for fortified tap water samples and 2.5% for fortified riverine water sample at the 10 μg/L level. The method was validated using fortified tap water and riverine water samples with known amount of 2,4-D at the 0.4, 10, and 30 μg/L levels, respectively.  相似文献

A facile and highly efficient magnetic solid‐phase extraction method has been developed for Z‐ligustilide, the major therapeutic agent in Angelica sinensis. The solid‐phase adsorbent material used was prepared by conjugating carbon nanotubes with magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles via a hydrothermal reaction. The magnetic material showed a high affinity toward Z‐ligustilide due to the π–π stacking interaction between the carbon nanotubes and Z‐ligustilide, allowing a quick and selective exaction of Z‐ligustilide from complex sample matrices. Factors influencing the magnetic solid‐phase extraction such as the amount of the added adsorbent, adsorption and desorption time, and desorption solvent, were investigated. Due to its high extraction efficiency, this method was proved highly useful for sample cleanup/enrichment in quantitative high‐performance liquid chromatography analysis. The proposed method had a linear calibration curve (R2 = 0.9983) over the concentration between 4 ng/mL and 200 μg/mL Z‐ligustilide. The accuracy of the method was determined by the recovery, which was from 92.07 to 104.02%, with the relative standard deviations >4.51%.  相似文献

This paper describes a novel application of pristine and chemically modified multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as the packing materials for the determination of different polyhalogenated organic pollutants, pentachlorophenol, 2,4,5-trichlorophenol, 3,3′,4,4′-tetrachlorobiphenyl and 2,2′,5,5′-tetrabromobiphenyl, from aqueous solution based on solid phase extraction. The modified MWCNTs were characterized using different techniques and the results revealed the successful modification of the MWCNTs with octadecyl amine and poly(ethylene glycol), separately. Factors that maybe influence the preconcentration efficiency, such as sample flow rate, adsorbent mass, sample pH and sample volume, were studied. Desorption of the target analytes was studied using different solvents and the results showed that acetone was the best solvent for all the analytes compared with methanol and hexane. All the results indicated that the proposed method could be used for the simultaneous determination of different pollutants in environmental water samples at trace levels.  相似文献

A new cost-effective sorbent, multiwalled carbon nanotubes/poly (vinyl alcohol) cryogel composite (MWCNTs/PVA), was prepared under frozen conditions for the extraction and preconcentration of trace polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in water samples. This was followed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with fluorescence detection. The proposed method provided a high enrichment factor with an extremely high extraction efficiency (89–98%) of three spiked levels of three standard PAHs with relative standard deviations of less than 8%. The low detection limits of the method were 5, 8 and 5 ng L− 1 for benzo(a)anthracene, benzo(b)fluoranthene and benzo(a)pyrene, respectively. This method was successfully applied for the determination of the three PAHs in real water samples where they were found in the range of 7 to 22 ng L− 1. The major advantages of MWCNTs/PVA over the commercial C18 is that it can be operated at a higher loading flow rate without sorbent clogging and requires a shorter time for completion without any loss of extraction efficiency.  相似文献

In the present work, a GC method with nitrogen-phosphorus detection (NPD) was developed for the simultaneous determination of eight organophosphorus pesticide (OPP) residues (i.e., ethoprofos, diazinon, chlorpyrifos-methyl, fenitrothion, malathion, chlorpyrifos, fenamiphos, and buprofezin) in water samples. Preconcentration of the water samples was carried out using an SPE procedure with multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) of 10-15 nm od, 2-6 nm id, and 0.1-10 microm length as stationary phase. Extraction parameters, such as the amount of MWCNTs, sample volume, pH, and type and amount of the eluent were optimized. The most favorable conditions were as follows: 40 mg MWCNTs, 800 mL water, pH 6.0, and 20 mL dichloromethane, respectively. The MWCNTs-SPE-GC-NPD method was applied to the determination of these pesticides in real water samples: mineral and ground water as well as run-off water from an agricultural area collected shortly before opening out onto the sea. A recovery study was developed with five consecutive extractions of the three types of water spiked at three concentration levels (n = 15). Mean recovery values were in the range of 75-116% for mineral water (RSD < 6.3%), 67-119% for ground water (RSD < 5.8%), and 57-81% for run-off waters (RSDs < 6.9%), except for fenamiphos (mean recovery values between 40 and 84% for the three types of waters, RSDs < 8.9%). LODs were in the low ng/L level (i.e., levels below the maximum residue limits (MRLs) established by the European Union (EU) legislation for these compounds in waters). The proposed method was also applied to the analysis of six water samples (two of each type: mineral, ground, and run-off waters) in which no residues of the selected pesticides were found. Results show that the MWCNTs used in this work have a high adsorbability of the pesticides under study. The main advantage of the use of these MWCNTs is their low cost when compared with those MWCNTs previously used in the literature and with conventional SPE cartridges.  相似文献

A sensitive method for the determination of six varying polarity pesticides (imidacloprid, acetamiprid, carbendazim, simazine, linuron, and tebufenozide) based on a solid‐phase extraction disk with multiwalled nanotubes is proposed.A dispersion of multiwalled nanotubes in a surfactant aqueous solution (Triton X‐100) was used for the preparation of the solid‐phase extraction disk. The effect of surfactant on the functional groups of multiwalled nanotubes was examined by applying temperature‐programmed desorption. It was found that this treatment increased the amount of oxygen groups of treated multiwalled nanotubes comparing with untreated ones. The factors that may influence the adsorption and recovery such as the kind and volume of eluent, volume, flow rate and pH of sample were investigated and optimized. Under the optimized conditions, the maximal enrichment factors for low polar pesticides are ranging from 4000 to 4985 and for more polar are 2250 and 2750. The linear range of calibration curves was 10–500 ng/L with correlation coefficient higher than 0.9960, and the detection limit was 6.2–23.7 ng/L. Finally optimized method was applied for determination trace level of five out of six pesticides in tap and river water samples with good recovery.  相似文献

Biocompatible magnetic nanoparticles that featured divinylbenzene and sulfonate functionalities were used for the magnetic solid‐phase extraction of five angiotensin II receptor antagonists from human urine and plasma samples based on a reversed‐phase and cation‐exchange mixed‐mode mechanism. Under the optimized extraction conditions, coupled to high‐performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection, this proposed method was found to be accurate and precise with relative standard deviations of less than 11.7%, and a good recovery of 80.1–119.5% for both samples. The linear ranges were 0.2–2000 and 0.2–2500 ng/mL along with correlation coefficients above 0.9923 and 0.9928 for urine and plasma samples, respectively. Limits of detection were 0.01–5.74 and 0.01–1.31 ng/mL, respectively. The proposed magnetic solid‐phase extraction based on the magnetic nanoparticles functionalized with divinylbenzene and sulfonate was a reliable and convenient sample pretreatment method and had the potential for isolating and enriching the angiotensin II receptor antagonists in biological samples.  相似文献

Novel, fast, selective, eco‐friendly and reproducible solid‐phase membrane tip extraction and gas chromatography with mass spectrometry methods were developed and validated for the analysis of triazine herbicides (atrazine and secbumeton) in stream and lake waters. The retention times of atrazine and secbumeton were 7.48 and 8.51 min. The solid‐phase membrane tip extraction was carried out in semiautomated dynamic mode on multiwall carbon nanotubes enclosed in a cone‐shaped polypropylene membrane cartridge. Acetone and methanol were found as the best preconditioning and desorption solvents, respectively. The extraction and desorption times for these herbicides were 15.0 and 10.0 min, respectively. The percentage recoveries of atrazine and secbumeton were 88.0 and 99.0%. The linearity range was 0.50–80.0 μg/L (r2 > 0.994), with detection limits (<0.47 μg/L, S/N = 3) and good reproducibility (<8.0%). The ease of operation, eco‐friendly nature, and low cost of solid‐phase membrane tip extraction made these methods novel. The Solid‐phase membrane tip extraction method was optimized by considering the effect of extraction time, desorbing solvents and time.  相似文献

In the present work, we showed a novel method to synthesize cyano-functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs-CN) and utilize it as a solid-phase extraction sorbent for preconcentration of phenolic compounds in environmental water samples. MWCNTs-CN was synthesized through surface functionalization of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The functional groups on the surface of modified MWCNTs were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and scanning electron microscopy. The analytical procedure was based on a conventional solid-phase extraction step for which 100 mg of MWCNTs-CN were packed in a 3 mL polypropylene cartridge. Analytes were thus isolated and preconcentrated from the pretreated samples and subsequently detected on high-performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet detection. The results showed the proposed method exhibited good sensitivity and precision for the extraction and elution of analytes. The limit of detections (S/N = 3) of the method were 0.45, 0.09, 0.08, and 3.00 ng mL(-1) for p-chlorophenol, 1-naphthol, 2-naphthol, and 2,4-dichlorophenol, respectively. The mean relative recoveries (n = 3) were between 80.28 and 103.13%, and the repeatability (RSD ≤ 5.10%) and reproducibility (RSD ≤ 7.68%) were accepted. This developed method was applied to determine phenolic compounds in environmental water samples. There is a positive result only for 2-naphthol with concentration of 0.38 ng mL(-1) in seawater sample.  相似文献

A β‐cyclodextrin‐modified attapulgite composite was prepared and used as a dispersive micro‐solid‐phase extraction sorbent for the determination of benzoylurea insecticides in honey samples. Parameters that may influence the extraction efficiency, such as the type and volume of the eluent, the amount of the sorbent, the extraction time and the ionic strength were investigated and optimized using batch and column procedures. Under optimized conditions, good linearity was obtained for all of the tested compounds, with R2 values of at least 0.9834. The limits of detection were determined in the range of 0.2–1.0 μg/L. The recoveries of the four benzoylurea insecticides in vitex honey and acacia honey increased from 15.2 to 81.4% and from 14.2 to 82.0%, respectively. Although the β‐cyclodextrin‐modified attapulgite composite did not show a brilliant adsorption capacity for the selected benzoylurea insecticides, it exhibited a higher adsorption capacity toward relatively hydrophobic compounds, such as chlorfluazuron and hexaflumuron (recoveries in vitex honey samples ranged from 70.0 to 81.4% with a precision of 1.0–3.7%). It seemed that the logPow of the benzoylurea insecticides is related to their recoveries. The results confirmed the possibility of using cyclodextrin‐modified palygorskite in the determination of relatively hydrophobic trace pharmaceutical residues.  相似文献

A novel sol–gel coating on a stainless‐steel fiber was developed for the first time for the headspace solid‐phase microextraction and determination of α‐bisabolol with gas chromatography and flame ionization detection. The parameters influencing the efficiency of solid‐phase microextraction process, such as extraction time and temperature, pH, and ionic strength, were optimized by the experimental design method. Under optimized conditions, the linear range was between 0.0027 and 100 μg/mL. The relative standard deviations determined at 0.01 and 1.0 μg/mL concentration levels (= 3), respectively, were as follows: intraday relative standard deviations 3.4 and 3.3%; interday relative standard deviations 5.0 and 4.3%; and fiber‐to‐fiber relative standard deviations 6.0 and 3.5%. The relative recovery values were 90.3 and 101.4% at 0.01 and 1.0 μg/mL spiking levels, respectively. The proposed method was successfully applied to various real samples containing α‐bisabolol.  相似文献

Carbon nanotubes‐magnetic nanoparticles, comprising ferroferric oxide nanoparticles and carbon nanotubes, were prepared through a simple one‐step synthesis method and subsequently applied to magnetic solid‐phase extraction for the determination of polyether antibiotic and s‐triazine drug residues in animal food coupled with liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry. The nanocomposites were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, X‐ray diffraction, and vibrating sample magnetometry. The components within the nanocomposites endowed the material with high extraction performance and manipulative convenience. Compared with carbon nanotubes, the as‐prepared carbon nanotubes‐magnetic nanoparticles showed better extraction and separation efficiencies for polyether antibiotics and s‐triazine drugs thanks to the contribution of the iron‐containing magnetic nanoparticles. Various experimental parameters affecting the extraction efficiency had been investigated in detail. Under the optimal conditions, the good linearity ranging from 1 to 200 μg/kg for diclazuril, toltrazuril, toltrazuril sulfone, lasalocid, monensin, salinomycin, narasin, nanchangmycin, and maduramicin, low limits of detection ranging from 1 to 5 μg/kg, and satisfactory spiked recoveries (77.1–91.2%, with the inter relative standard deviation values from 4.0 to 12.2%) were shown. It was confirmed that this novel method was an efficient pretreatment and enrichment procedure and could be successfully applied for extraction and determination of polyether and s‐triazine drug residues in complex matrices.  相似文献

A polymeric column that contains multiwalled carbon nanotubes‐β‐cyclodextrin composite was developed. The composite was wrapped into the poly(butyl methacrylate‐ethylene dimethacrylate) monolith column (0.76 mm id and 10 cm in length). The column was then applied for the online solid‐phase microextraction of psoralen and isopsoralen from Fructus Psoraleae. Following microextraction, the coumarins were quantified by high‐performance liquid chromatography with C18 separation column and UV detection. The effects of sample flow rate, sample volume, and pH value were optimized. The method showed low limits of detection (20 pg/mL, S/N = 3) for both psoralen and isopsoralen. Finally the method was successfully applied to the determination of psoralen and isopsoralen in spiked herb extracts and rat plasma where it gave recoveries that ranged between 93.2 and 102.1%. The empty hydrophobic cavities of β‐cyclodextrin and the hydrophobicity of multiwalled carbon nanotubes provided specific extraction capability for psoralen and isopsoralen.  相似文献

Micro-solid-phase extraction (μ-SPE) was developed for the determination of trace level of 16 United States Environmental Protection Agency priority polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in river water samples with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). In the μ-SPE device, multiwalled carbon nanotubes was employed as sorbent and was packed inside an porous polypropylene membrane "envelope" whose edges were heat-sealed to secure the contents. The μ-SPE device was placed in a stirred sample solution to extract the analytes. The porous polypropylene membrane envelope in μ-SPE device acts as a filter to exclude potential interferences, such as eliminating or reducing the influence of particles that are bigger than the pore size. After extraction, analyte desorption was carried out with a suitable organic solvent under ultrasonication. Important extraction parameters were optimized in detail, including the selection and amount of sorbent materials, the extraction temperature and extraction time, desorption solvent and desorption time, amount of organic modifier, agitation speed and sample ionic strength. Under the developed extraction conditions, the proposed method provided good linearity in the range of 0.1-50 μg/L, low limits of detection (4.2-46.5 ng/L), and good repeatability of the extractions (relative standard deviations, <12%, n=5). The developed μ-SPE method was successfully applied to the extraction of PAHs in river water samples. The μ-SPE method was demonstrated to be a fast and efficient method for the determination of PAHs from environmental water samples.  相似文献

Although jujube is a minor crop and very few pesticides are registered on it, the application of pesticides during the growth stage of jujube is inevitable to control the pests or diseases. This situation has led to pesticide misuse. A modified quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe method using a novel sorbent, multiwalled carbon nanotubes, as a dispersive solid‐phase extraction sorbent combined with gas chromatography with mass spectrometry, was developed for the determination of 16 pesticides in jujube. Under the optimized conditions, recoveries of 76.7–112.4% were obtained for the target analytes at three spiked concentration levels. The relative standard deviations ranged from 1.2 to 12.3%. Limits of detection and limits of quantification for 16 pesticides ranged from 1 to 10 and 3 to 30 μg/kg, respectively. The residues of chlorpyrifos, hexaconazole, tebuconazole, and cyhalothrin were detected from samples obtained from the market.  相似文献

In this study, a mixed hemimicelle solid‐phase extraction method based on Fe3O4 nanoparticles coated with sodium dodecyl sulfate was applied for the preconcentration and fast isolation of six fluoroquinolones in environmental water samples before high‐performance liquid chromatography determination. The main factors affecting the extraction efficiency of the analytes, such as amount of surfactant, amount of Fe3O4 nanoparticles, extraction time, sample volume, sample pH, ionic strength, and desorption conditions, were investigated and optimized. The method has detection limits from 0.05 to 0.1 ng/mL and good linearity (r ≥ 09948) in the range 0.1–200 ng/mL depending on the fluoroquinolone. The enrichment factor is ~200. The recoveries (at spiked levels of 1, 5, and 50 ng/mL) are in the range of 79–120%.  相似文献

Matrix effects in determination of three β‐receptor agonists including salbutamol (SAL), clenbuterol, and terbutaline in animal‐derived foodstuffs were studied by ultra‐performance LC‐MS/MS with cleanup of immunoaffinity SPE column (IAC). Some animal tissue samples including pig liver, swine muscle, and fish muscle were hydrolyzed by the mixed enzyme solution or HCl solution, and the cleanup efficiencies with SAL IAC, MCX SPE column, and C18‐SCX tandem columns were examined and compared by using spiked experiments. The results showed that the matrix effects in the determination of SAL and terbutaline can be eliminated with SAL IAC cleanup, and the average recoveries of SAL were 77.4~81.5%, 79.0~80.3%, and 85.0~87.2% in pig liver, swine muscle, and fish muscle, respectively. The decision limit (ccα) and detection capability (ccβ) for SAL in pig liver were 0.02 and 0.05 μg/kg, respectively.  相似文献
