On the premise of the importance of energy conditions for regular black holes, we propose a method to remedy those models that break the dominant energy condition, e.g., the Bardeen and Hayward black holes. We modify the metrics but ensure their regularity at the same time, so that the weak, null, and dominant energy conditions are satisfied, with the exception of the strong energy condition. Likewise, we prove a no-go theorem for conformally related regular black holes, which states that the four energy conditions can never be met in this class of black holes. In order to seek evidences for distinguishing regular black holes from singular black holes, we resort to analogue gravity and regard it as a tool to mimic realistic regular black holes in a fluid. The equations of state for the fluid are solved via an asymptotic analysis associated with a numerical method, which provides a modus operandi for experimental observations, in particular, the conditions under which one can simulate realistic regular black holes in the fluid.  相似文献

The first-order correction of the perturbative solution of the coupled equations of the quadratic gravity and nonlinear electrodynamics is constructed, with the zeroth-order solution coinciding with the ones given by Ayón-Beato and Garcí a and by Bronnikov. It is shown that a simple generalization of the Bronnikov's electromagnetic Lagrangian leads to the solution expressible in terms of the polylogarithm functions. The solution is parametrized by two integration constants and depends on two free parameters. By the boundary conditions the integration constants are related to the charge and total mass of the system as seen by a distant observer, whereas the free parameters are adjusted to make the resultant line element regular at the center. It is argued that various curvature invariants are also regular there that strongly suggests the regularity of the spacetime. Despite the complexity of the problem the obtained solution can be studied analytically. The location of the event horizon of the black hole, its asymptotics and temperature are calculated. Special emphasis is put on the extremal configuration.  相似文献

In this Letter, we construct the quasi-normal modes of three-dimensional extremal black holes in an algebraic way. We show that the infinite towers of the quasi-normal modes of scalar, vector and tensor could be constructed as the descendents of the highest weight modes. Our investigation shows that the hidden conformal symmetry suggested in Chen et al. (2010) [5] is an intrinsic property of the extremal black hole. Moreover, we notice that we need to fix the freedom in defining the local vector fields and find the right hidden conformal symmetry to obtain the physical quasi-normal modes.  相似文献

In this work we extend previous work on the evolution of a primordial black hole (PBH) to address the presence of a dark energy component with a super-negative equation of state as a background, investigating the competition between the radiation accretion, the Hawking evaporation and the phantom accretion, the latter two causing a decrease on black hole mass. It is found that there is an instant during the matter-dominated era after which the radiation accretion becomes negligible compared to the phantom accretion. The Hawking evaporation may become important again depending on a mass threshold. The evaporation of PBHs is quite modified at late times by these effects, but only if the generalized second law of thermodynamics is violated.  相似文献

We introduce the quasi-topological electromagnetism which is defined to be the squared norm of the topological 4-form F ∧ F. A salient property is that its energy-momentum tensor is of the isotropic perfect fluid with the pressure being precisely the opposite to its energy density. It can thus provide a model for dark energy. We study its application in both black hole physics and cosmology.The quasi-topological term has no effect on the purely electric or magnetic Reissner-Nordstr o¨m black holes, the dyonic solution is however completely modified. We find that the dyonic black holes can have four real horizons. For suitable parameters, the black hole can admit as many as three photon spheres, with one being stable. Another intriguing property is that although the quasitopological term breaks the electromagnetic duality, the symmetry emerges in the on-shell action in the Wheeler-De Witt patch. In cosmology, we demonstrate that the quasi-topological term alone is equivalent to a cosmological constant, but the model provides a mechanism for the dark energy to couple with other types of matter. We present a concrete example of the quasi-topological electromagnetism coupled to a scalar field that admits the standard FLRW cosmological solutions.  相似文献

By matching across a surface of constant time, it is demonstrated that the spacetime for a radiation-dominated Einstein–de Sitter universe can be directly matched to the spacetime for a matter-dominated Einstein–de Sitter universe. Thus, this can serve as a model of a universe filled with radiation that suddenly is converted to matter and antimatter, or a universe filled with matter and antimatter that suddenly annihilates to leave radiation. This matching is shown to hold for asymptotically Einstein–de Sitter cosmological black hole spacetimes, yielding simplistic models of primordial black holes that evolve between being in radiation-dominated universes and matter-dominated universes.  相似文献

A relativistic gravitational theory in (1 + 1) dimensions is presented which exhibits many of the qualitative features of (3 + 1)-dimensional general relativity. The field equations are simple enough for undergraduates to solve yet rich enough in structure to form a useful pedagogical example for exploring the qualitative features of relativistic gravitation. Black hole solutions to the field equations of the theory are derived and its relationship to Newtonian gravity is discussed in detail.  相似文献

In this Letter we investigate the role of regular (curvature singularity-free) black holes in the framework of UV self-complete quantum gravity. The existence of a minimal length, shielding the trans-Planckian regime to any physical probe, is self-consistently included into the black hole probe itself. In this way we obtain to slightly shift the barrier below the Planck length, with the UV self-complete scenario self-consistently confirmed.  相似文献

Super-entropic black holes possess finite-area but noncompact event horizons and violate the reverse isoperimetric inequality. It has been conjectured that such black holes always have negative specific heat at constant volume \begin{document}$ C_{V} $\end{document} or negative specific heat at constant pressure \begin{document}$ C_{P} $\end{document} whenever \begin{document}$ C_{V}>0 $\end{document}, making them unstable in extended thermodynamics. In this paper, we describe a test of this instability conjecture with a family of nonlinear electrodynamic black holes, namely 3D Einstein-Born-Infeld (EBI) AdS black holes. Our results show that when nonlinear electrodynamics effects are weak, the instability conjecture is valid. However, the conjecture can be violated in some parameter region when nonlinear electrodynamics effects are strong enough. This observation thus provides a counter example to the instability conjecture, which suggests that super-entropic black holes may be thermodynamically stable.  相似文献

We study the evolution of primordial black holes by considering present universe is no more matter dominated rather vacuum energy dominated. We also consider the accretion of radiation, matter and vacuum energy during respective dominance period. In this scenario, we found that radiation accretion efficiency should be less than 0.366 and accretion rate is much larger than previous analysis by Nayak et al. (2009) [1]. Thus here primordial black holes live longer than previous works Nayak and Singh (2011) [1]. Again matter accretion slightly increases the mass and lifetime of primordial black holes. However, the vacuum energy accretion is slightly complicated one, where accretion is possible only up to a critical time. If a primordial black hole lives beyond critical time, then its? lifespan increases due to vacuum energy accretion. But for presently evaporating primordial black holes, critical time comes much later than their evaporating time and thus vacuum energy could not affect those primordial black holes.  相似文献

We show that the pseudotensors of Einstein, Tolman, Landau and Lifshitz, Papapetrou, and Weinberg essentially coincide for any Kerr-Schild metric if calculations are carried out in Kerr-Schild Cartesian coordinates. This generalizes a previous result by Gürses and Gürsey that dealt only with the pseudotensors of Einstein and Landau-Lifshitz. We compute exactly the energy and angular momentum distributions for the Kerr-Newman metric in Kerr-Schild Cartesian coordinates and compare the results with those obtained by using different definitions of quasilocal mass, which unlike pseudotensors do not agree for all Kerr-Schild metrics.  相似文献

The energy content of the charged-Kerr(CK)spacetime surrounded by dark energy(DE)is investigated using approximate Lie symmetry methods for the differential equations.For this,we consider three different DE scenarios:cosmological constant with an equation of state parameter$ωq=-2/3,quintessence DE with an equation of state parameterωc=-1,and a frustrated network of cosmic strings with an equation of state parameterωn=-1/3.To study the gravitational energy of the CK black hole surrounded by the DE,we explore the symmetries of the 2nd-order perturbed geodesic equations.It is noticed,for all the values ofω,the exact symmetries are recovered as 2nd-order approximate trivial symmetries.These trivial approximate symmetries give the rescaling of arc length parameter s in this spacetime which indicates that the energy in the underlying spacetime has to be rescaled by a factor that depends on the black hole parameters and the DE parameter.This rescaling factor is compared with the factor of the CK spacetime found in[Hussain et al.Gen.Relativ.Gravit.(2009)]and the effects of the DE on it are discussed.It is observed that for all the three values of the equation of state parameterω,the effect of DE results in decreased energy content of the black hole spacetime,regardless of values of the charge Q,spin a and the DE parameterα.This reduction in the energy content due to the involvement of the DE favours the idea of mass reduction of black holes by accretion of DE given by[Babichev et al.Phys.Rev.Lett.(2004)].  相似文献

The quantum nonthermal effect of the spherically symmetric and rotating dilatonic black holes is studied. A crossing of the positive and negative Dirac energy of particles occurs near dilatonic black holes. We find that the dilaton coupling parameter α affects the energy of spontaneous radiant particles. The energy of particles decreases when the coupling parameter α increases.  相似文献

The AdS/CFT correspondence may give a new way of understanding field theories in extreme conditions, as in the quark–gluon plasma phase of quark matter. The correspondence normally involves asymptotically AdS black holes with dual field theories which are defined on locally flat boundary spacetimes; the implicit assumption is that the distortions of spacetime which occur under extreme conditions do not affect the field theory in any unexpected way. However, AdS black holes are [to varying degrees] fragile, in the sense that they become unstable to stringy effects when their event horizons are sufficiently distorted. This implies that field theories on curved backgrounds may likewise be unstable in a suitable sense. We investigate this phenomenon, focussing on the “fragility” of AdS5 black holes with flat event horizons. We find that, when they are distorted, these black holes are always unstable in string theory. This may have consequences for the detailed structure of the quark matter phase diagram at extreme values of the spacetime curvature.  相似文献

Considering that the negative pressure of the accelerated expansion of the universe results from the cosmological constant or the dark energy quintessence, we use the dark energy quintessence to construct the "quintessential" phase space. In contrast to the previous discussion in which the cosmological constant is considered as the black hole (BH) phase transition pressure, in this analysis, we believe that the pressure results from quintessence. The characteristics of critical behavior, Gibbs free energy, and temperature behavior in quintessential phase space are investigated. We observe that the phase transition belongs to van der Waals phase transition within\begin{document}$ -1 <\omega_{\rm q}<-2/3 $\end{document}. If \begin{document}$ \omega_{\rm q} $\end{document}is within (–2/3, –1/3), the phase transition loses the large BH phase transition characteristics, which is caused by the later stage of the phase transition being completely dominated by quintessence dark energy with negative pressure. These results suggest that the quintessential phase space can be constructed with the pressure from the thermal quintessence, and it can be used as a new probe to explore the thermodynamics of BHs.  相似文献
