Nine novel heteronuclear complexes of Ln(III)-Cu(II) with salicylidene tetraethylene glycol diamine (SALTTA) have been synthesized and characterized. They have the general formulae [LnCu2(SALTTA)2(NO3)3](NO3)4·3H2O (Ln=La, Pr, Nd, Sm) and [LnCu3(SALTTA)3(NO3)5]-(NO3)4·4H2O (Ln=Gd, Tb, Er, Yb, Y). The IR spectra show that vC=N in the Ln(III)-Cu(II) heteronuclear complexes are splitted up into two peaks with a far distance. It has been confirmed that oxygen atoms in oxyethylene of the ligand are not all coordinated to the central metal ions by both IR and NMR methods. 相似文献

A novel Schiff base (TAMET) was synthesized by the condensation of tetraglycol aldehyde with methionine and a mild oxidant CrO3· (C5H5N)2 was selected for the reaction. Seven new rare earth complexes with this Schiff base have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, TG-DTA, molar conductivity, magnetic susceptibility and IR, especially 1H NMR spectra. Information was obtained from reflectance spectra and the coordination of sulfur atom to rare earths was discussed. A series of novel heteronuclear Ln(III)-CU(II) complexes with noncyclic polyether-amino acid Schiff base were synthesized.
The general formula is (LnCu2(H2TALY) (NO3)5] (NO3)2·nH2O (Ln= La, Nd, Sm, Gd,n = 4; Ln = Yb, Y,n = 3), where H2TALY = tetraglycol aldehyde bis-lysine Schiff base. It is the first time to report the synthetic method for this new Cu(II)
complexes and Ln(III)-Cu(II) heteronuclear complexes. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra.
TG-DTA, magnetic susceptibility, and especially by a 500 MHz NMR spectrometer for 2D-COSY NMR. Coordination mechanism and
structures of complexes have been suggested as well. Of particular interest is the potential that the novel complexes obtained
may be used as a catalyst. which prompted us to investigate them. It shows 100% conversion with the viscosity-average molecular
weight 120 000 for the polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) without addition of any cocatalyst. Furthermore, the complexes
with such aliphatic Schiff bases can be used as a good catalyst, which has been confirmed and discussed here. They may be
a new kind of catalyst system with the above speciality.

EPR characters of three new gadolinium complexes with noncydic polyether Schiff bases in powder or organic solvents, including various oxyethylene chain lengths and different substituting groups in ligands, are investigated respectively. Some regularities are summed up. The difference of EPR character in various solvents, particularly at different temperatures, has been examined. The 'single peak effect' due to THF solvent at low temperature is observed for the first time. This phenomenon is explicated. 相似文献

Synthesis, mechanism and NMR spectra of lanthanide complexes with a novel unsymmetrical Schiff base 总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
Owing to its two unsymmetrical-NH_2 groups sited on different terminals, 2, 6-diaminocaproic acid (lysine) was used as a reactant for synthesizing a novel unsymmetrical Schiff base with salicylaldehyde on one side and ovanillin on the other for the first time. It is a new way to synthesize such a special unsymmetrical Schiff base. It is named "hetero bis-Schiff base" for distinguishing it from others. The synthesis method, formation mechanism as well as twelve new lanthanide complexes with the above ligand are reported and discussed herein. They were characterized by elementary analysis, molar conductivity, IR-spectra and especially by ~1H and ~(13)C NMR spectra. The results obtained may provide a new promising method for synthesizing similar unsymmetrical Schiff bases and their complexes. 相似文献

The EPR spectra of three new gadolinium complexes with noncyclic polyether Schiff bases in powder and those of these complexes in organic solvents were investigated at different temperatures. It was observed that EPR spectra of nine and four peaks of Gd(Ⅲ) complexes in polycrystalline powder and freezing samples appeared at low temperature respectively for the first time. The interpretations of these results obtained on the basis of spin Hamiltonian of s = 7/2 system are satisfactory. The correlations of EPR feature between crystal-field strength in complexes and local symmetry around Gd3+ ions were revealed. The crystal-field parameters b20 and the asymmetry parameters λ' of complexes were estimated. A series of interesting regularity and new results were obtained. 相似文献

A synthetic method for a new unsymmetrical Schiff base and its Ln (III) complexes including multi C == N- groups is reported. The complexes are characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, 1H and 13C NMR, especially 2D-COSY1H, 1H NMR spectra. The general formula of the obtained complexes is [Ln3(TBLY)(NO3)3]@nH2O (Ln = La, n = 3; Ln = Nd, n = 5; Ln = Gd, Dy, Yb, Y, n = 7), whereTBLY = tetraglycol aldehyde-2,4-dihydroxy benzaldehyde bis-lysine Schiff base. In addition, the evidence for existence of C == CH-NH- group is supported bythe AM1 method. The complexes obtained may be used as a catalyst. Conversion rate of 80% with the viscosity-average molecular weight 220000 for the polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) without addition of any cocatalyst has been obtained. 相似文献

Two lanthanide (Sm and La) complexes with the Schiff base ligand bis(3-methoxysalicylidene)-3-oxapentane-1,5-diamine (Bod) have been synthesized and characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic methods. [Sm(Bod)(NO3)3] {bis(3-methoxysalicylidene)-3-oxapentane-1,5-diamine samarium(III) trinitrate} (1) is a discrete mononuclear species and [La(Bod)(NO3)3(DMF)]n {bis(3-methoxysalicylidene)-3-oxapentane-1,5-diamine dimethylformamide lanthanum(III) trinitrate}n (2) formed an inorganic coordination polymer. In the two complexes, the metal ions are both ten-coordinate and the geometric structure around the Ln(III) ions can be described as distorted hexadecahedral. An antioxidant assay in vitro shows that complexes 1 and 2 exhibit better scavenging activity than both the ligand and the usual antioxidants on hydroxyl and superoxide radicals. Under excitation at room temperature, a red shift in the fluorescence band of the ligand in the complexes compared with that of the free ligand can be attributed to coordination of the rare earth ions to the ligand. Furthermore, 1 produced characteristic Sm(III) luminescence, which indicates the ligand Bod is a good organic chelator to absorb energy and transfer it to the Sm3+ ion. 相似文献

Nine h( III) complexes with a novel Schiff base derived from diglycolamine and benzoylacetone (BZDA) have been synthesized and characterized. They can be formulated as [Ln2(BZDA)3(NO3)3](NO3)3-nH2O (Ln? La, Pr, Nd, Sm, n = 4; Ln = Gd, Tb, Er, Yb, Y, n = 7). Enamic form mechanism in this β-diketone Schiff base and its Complexes were suggested and proved by IR, UV and NMR methods. The 13C spin-lattice relaxation time T1 and the ratios of r(Ci-In)/ r (cj-in) were measured by a 500 MHz NMR instrument for elucidating the formation of the stable six-membered chelate ring structure in these complexes. The EPR spectrum of the Gd( III) complex exhibits the “U” spectral feature and “zero field effect”. On the basis of them, the crystal field strength and the local symmetry around Gd 3+ in the complex have been discussed. 相似文献

To investigate the structure–activity relationship of L-glutamine and L-asparagine Schiff base copper complexes in applications, L-glutamine and L-asparagine Schiff bases (GV and AV) and their copper complexes [Cu3(GV)2(CH3COO)2(H2O)] · 2H2O (GVC) and [CuAV(H2O)3] (AVC) have been synthesized and characterized by molar conductance, elemental analysis, UV-Vis, IR, 1H-NMR, and TG-DTG. We examined the geometries of GV, AV, GVC, and AVC through Hartree–Fock method and electronic absorption spectra. We also tested their antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and Bacillus subtilis bacteria and antiproliferation activity on human breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells. The side chain difference between L-glutamine and L-asparagine results in different geometry of GV and AV, which leads to different geometry of GVC and AVC. GVC, a trinuclear Cu(II) complex, shows the highest antibacterial activity and the highest growth inhibition activity on MDA-MB-231 cells. Our results suggest that GVC has potential as an antibacterial and anticancer agent. 相似文献

New azido-bridged [MnIII(salabza)(μ-1,3-N3)]n (1), and [CuII4(salabza)2(μ-1,1-N3)2(N3)2(HOCH3)2],(2) complexes with an unsymmetrical Schiff base ligand, {H2salabza = N,N’-bis(salicylidene)-2-aminobenzylamine}, have been synthesized, characterized by spectroscopic and electrochemical methods, and their crystal structures have been determined by X-ray diffraction. In complex 1, each manganese(III) atom is coordinated with N2O2 donor atoms from salabza and two adjacent Mn(III) centers are linked by an end-to-end (EE) azide bridge to form a helical polymeric chain with octahedral geometry around the Mn(III) centers. Complex 2 is a centrosymmetric tetranuclear compound containing two types of Cu(II) centers with square pyramidal geometry. Each terminal copper atom is surrounded by N2O2 atoms of a salabza ligand, and the oxygen atom of the methanol molecule. Each central copper(II) ion is coordinated with two phenoxo oxygen atoms from one salabza, one terminal azido, and two end-on (EO) bridging azido ligands. As resource- and time-saving and environmentally friendly synthetic methods than conventional one in a solution, microwave, and wet mechanochemical synthesis are tested for l-amino acid derivative Schiff base copper(II) complexes. Herein, we systematically compared efficiency (low-temperature, time, and yield (if possible to detect)) for both conventional solution method and microwave or mechanochemical methods. The wet mechanochemical synthesis promoted fast reaction (typically 20 min by mechanochemical vs 4 h by conventional) by a little amount of solvent for preparations of amino acid derivative Schiff base copper(II) complexes. A new Co(II) complex with tridentate Schiff base ligand with a N,N,O donor set has been synthesized and characterized by single X-ray technique and spectroscopic techniques. The thermochemical properties have been studied. X-ray structure analysis of the title compound Co(II)L2 [HL = 2-methyl-6-(2′-hydroxybenzylideneamino) pyridine] shows that the polyhedron around Co(II) is a distorted tetrahedron, and the self-assembly via intermolecular π-π interactions leads to a three-dimensional network. Eight diorganotin(IV) complexes of salicylaldehyde isonicotinylhydrazone (H2SalN) R2Sn(SalN) R = t-Bu 1, Ph 2, PhCH23, o-ClC6H4CH24, p-ClC6H4CH25,m-ClC6H4CH26,o-FPhCH27, p-FC6H4CH28 were prepared. All complexes 1-8 have been characterized by elemental, IR, 1H, 13C and 119Sn NMR analyses. The crystal structures of H2SalN and complex 1 were determined by X-ray crystallography diffraction analyses. Studies show that H2SalN is a tridentate planar ligand. For complex 1, the tin atom lies in this plane and forms a five- and six-membered chelate ring with the tridentate ligand. A comparison of the IR spectra of the ligand with those of the corresponding complexes, reveals that the disappearance of the bands assigned to carbonyl unambiguously confirms that the ligand coordinate with the tin in the enol form. 相似文献
