We report on the generation of a squeezing vacuum at 1.55 μm using an optical parametric amplifier based on periodically poled LiNbO 3.Using three specifically designed narrow linewidth mode cleaners as the spatial mode and noise filter of the laser at 1.55 μm and 775 nm,the squeezed vacuum of up to 3.0 dB below the shot noise level at 1.55 μm is experimentally obtained.This system is compatible with standard telecommunication optical fibers,and will be useful for continuous variable long-distance quantum communication and distributed quantum computing.  相似文献

We present a continuous-wave squeezed vacuum generation system at a telecommunication wavelength of 1.3 μm. By employing a home-made single-frequency Nd:YVO4 laser with dual wavelength outputs as the pump source, via an optical parameter oscillator based on periodically poled KTP, a squeezed vacuum of 6.1 dB±0.1 dB below the shot noise limit at 1342 nm is experimentally measured. This system could be utilized for demonstrating practical quantum information networks.  相似文献

The absorption spectra of Tb,Tm:YVO_4 and Ho,Tm:YVO_4 are measured. The radiant and non-radiant transition probabilities from higher level to lower level, A_{i,j} and ω_{i,j}, and the cross-elaxation probability are calculated in virtue of Judd-Ofelt and Dexter theories. The fluorescence lifetime of Tm^{3+} in the Tb^{3+} (or Ho^{3+}) co-doped crystal is calculated. It indicates that the lifetime of initial level {}^3H_4 of the laser transition can be shorter than that of terminal level {}^3F_4 of the transition if the atomic percentage of Tb^{3+} (or Ho^{3+}) ions is bigger than about 1 at%: namely, by means of the co-doping Tb^{3+} (or Ho^{3+}) ions the self-termination phenomenon of laser light can be eliminated. Inserting the optic parameters to the formula deduced here on the laser threshold power P^{(4)}_{th} and the slope efficiency η^{(4)}_s of the four-energy-level system, we obtain the relationship of threshold power P^{(4)}_{th} to the concentration of Tm^{3+} ions and discuss the effect of Tb^{3+} (or Ho^{3+}) ion concentration on the laser threshold power P^{(4)}_{th} around 1.5μm wavelength. The result shows that Tb,Tm:YVO_4 crystal is a better choice to make the laser at ~1.5μm wavelength than Ho,Tm:YVO_4 crystal. We give the appropriate composition of (1-2) at% Tb, (1-2) at% Tm:YVO_4, just for reference.  相似文献

BaBiO 3-doped BaTiO3(BB-BT) ceramic,as a candidate for lead-free positive temperature coefficient of resistivity (PTCR) materials with a higher Curie temperature,has been synthesized in air by a conventional sintering technique. The temperature dependence of resistivity shows that the phase transition of the PTC thermistor ceramic occurs at the Curie temperature,Tc=155℃,which is higher than that of BaTiO3(≤130℃). Analysis of ac impedance data using complex impedance spectroscopy gives the alternate current (AC) resistance of the PTCR ceramic. By additional use of the complex electric modulus formalism to analyse the same data,the inhomogeneous nature of the ceramic may be unveiled. The impedance spectra reveal that the grain resistance of the BB-BT sample is slightly influenced by the increase of temperature,indicating that the increase in overall resistivity is entirely due to a grain-boundary effect. Based on the dependence of the extent to which the peaks of the imaginary part of electric modulus and impedance are matched on frequency,the conduction mechanism is also discussed for a BB-BT ceramic system.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the mid-infrared spectrum of the H216O molecule between 3367 and 3447 cm−1 to study the gas-collision-broadened linewidths. The coherent radiation used in this experiment is produced through difference frequency generation in a periodically poled lithium niobate crystal. The spectroscopic analysis has concerned nine H2O lines in the ν1 fundamental vibrational band. For these lines the self-, N2-, and O2-broadening coefficients are measured at room temperature. From these data, the widths due to air broadening are also determined. The experimental collisional broadening coefficients are compared with other experimental data and with theoretical calculations based on the Anderson-Tsao-Cornutte and Robert-Bonamy theories. Lineshape analysis is performed using both the standard Voigt profile and the Nelkin-Ghatak profile for the hard collision regime. For all the investigated lines the agreement between the Voigt profile and the measured profiles is found to be good.  相似文献
