We apply two-photon resonant nondegenerate four-wave mixing with a resonant intermediate state to the observation of the broadening and shifting of the barium Rydberg level 6s24d 1D2 by collision with argon.The collision broadening and shifting cross sections are measured.This technique is purely optical,and can investigate the pressure dependence of the transverse relaxation rate Γ21 between the Rydberg state and an intermediate state,as well as the transverse relaxation rate Γ20 between the Rydberg state and the ground state. 相似文献

Impact broadening and shifts of Ba transitions to parity forbidden Rydberg states have been measured using two-photon laser spectroscopy techniques. Broadening and shift rates for the 6sns 1S0 (10 < n < 19) and 6snd 1D2 (8 < n < 26) levels due to thermal collisional interactions with Xe, Kr and Ar as perturber gases are plotted. Two-photon resonant four-wave mixing spectroscopy has been utilized successfully for probing I and I∗ nascent from the 266 nm photodissociations of various alkyl and perfluoroalkyl iodides. The relative quantum yields for I∗, as well as the recoil anisotropy parameters, were extracted. Recoil anisotropy parameters close to the limit value for parallel transition indicates that the ground-state I(2P3/2) originates from the curve crossing from the initially prepared 3Q0 to 1Q1 state. The curve-crossing probabilities for alkyl and perfluoroalkyl iodides were obtained and tried to explain using the well-known Landau-Zener model. In the cases of perfluoroalkyl iodides, it is necessary to consider the fluorination effect to describe the detailed dynamics observed in this study and has been revealed that the electronic effect due to fluorine atom substitution is dominant, leading to decrease in the curve-crossing probability. 相似文献

Broadening and shift measurements on the 33D1?23P0 component of the helium line at λ=587.5 nm are reported. The saturated-absorption method is used. Measurements are performed at room temperature and at liquid nitrogen temperature. Homogeneous broadening constants are deduced from an analysis taking into account the effect of weak velocity-changing collisions. Broadening and shift constants are interpreted in term of a Lennard-Jones interaction potential. The very small shifts observed show the predominance of the repulsive core effect in the interaction potential. 相似文献

A possibility of CW laser oscillation on atomic transitions between a resonance energy level and a metastable one under conditions when lower laser states are deactivated by electron impacts has been theoretically shown. We determined the plasma parameters so that CW laser action on such transitions of Cu, Au, Ca and Ba atoms may be possible. Superlong laser pulses of 6 μs duration were obtained on the 6 1P1-5 1D2 transition of the barium atom. 相似文献

By pumping CH3F with a high pressure tunable TE-CO2 laser, the resonant four-wave mixing process (RFWM) generates a very efficient tunable single line FIR emission at the Raman frequency. This result is strictly related to the spectroscopic structure of the CH3F molecule. By means of this process, a tunable FIR emission on a 0.1 cm–1 bandwidth 150 kW (8 mJ) single line, is obtained which can be used for many FIR multiphoton applications. 相似文献

The spectra of the gaseous mixtures CH4-He and CH4-Ar were obtained in the spectral region 1400-1750 cm−1 with a resolution up to 0.003 cm−1. Helium and argon pressure broadenings for the vibration-rotation lines of the ν2 band of CH4 have been estimated at room temperature for some lines in the P, Q, and R branches. These values were also calculated using the theoretical approach developed by Robert and Bonamy, extended to the case of tetrahedral molecules. The helium data have been found to be in a satisfactory agreement whereas a divergence of calculated and measured broadening coefficients has been evidenced in the case of argon. Simulations of the ν2 band shapes of methane perturbed by helium have also been performed. 相似文献

基于成熟的光纤激光器、光纤放大器及高效激光频率转换技术,我们在实验中研制了一套瓦级输出的窄线宽连续波单频可调谐318.6 nm紫外激光系统,并在室温铯原子气室中实现了6S_(1/2)—nP_(3/2)(n=70—94)单光子跃迁里德伯激发.借助由铯原子6S_(1/2)(F=4)基态、6P_(3/2)(F′=5)激发态和nP_(3/2)(n=70—94)里德伯态构成的V型三能级系统,通过频率锁定于铯原子6S_(1/2)(F=4)—6P_(3/2)(F′=5)超精细跃迁的852.3 nm探测光束的吸收减弱信号获得了里德伯态的信息,并利用高精度波长计测量了铯原子nP_(3/2)(n=70—94)里德伯态的量子亏损值.经过与理论计算值的变化趋势进行对比,我们认为由于原子气室的里德伯屏蔽效应并不能完全屏蔽外部直流电场,铯原子气室内存在残余的直流电场,影响了对里德伯态的量子亏损值的实验测量.利用残余直流电场的Stark效应理论模型及其与有效主量子数n*的依赖关系,对铯原子里德伯态的量子亏损实验测量值进行了修正.修正后的铯原子nP_(3/2)(n=70—94)态量子亏损测量值为3.5591±0.0007,与理论计算值相吻合. 相似文献

本文在多通道量子亏损理论框架下,利用相对论多通道理论,计算了铥原子收敛于4f13(2F7/2o)6s(7/2,1/2)4o和4f13(2F7/2o)6s(7/2,1/2)3o的三个偶宇称里德伯系列.通过将计算结果与美国国家标准与技术研究院数据进行比较,展示了两种类型的电子关联效应:1)里德伯系列之间的相互作用,导致里德伯系列的能级出现整体偏移;2)一个孤立的干扰态镶嵌在一个里德伯系列中,破坏了该里德伯系列能级的规则性. 相似文献

Broadening and shifting of the 211-202 transition of H216O, H217O, H218O by pressure of water, nitrogen and oxygen were precisely measured at room temperature using spectrometer with radio-acoustic detection of absorption. Shift parameters for all studied lines as well as broadening parameters of H217O, H218O lines were measured for the first time. Line broadening coefficients have been calculated, at room temperature, for lines in the P and R branches of the ν2 band of monodeuterated methane. A properly symmetrized semiclassical model with parabolic relative trajectories has been used. Two interaction potential models have been considered. The first is a Lennard-Jones type atom-atom potential, while the second one was derived from ab initio calculations. The calculated line widths were compared to the available experimental data and a satisfactory agreement was found, although the model contains no other adjustable parameters than the four atomic Lennard-Jones ones. Nonetheless, failures of calculations have also been evidenced for the highest rotational quantum numbers. 相似文献

The pressure broadening and shift rates of the rubidium D2 absorption line 52S1/2→52P3/2 (780.24 nm) with CH4, C2H6, C3H8, n-C4H10, and He were measured for pressures ≤80 Torr using high-resolution laser spectroscopy. The broadening rates γB for CH4, C2H6, C3H8, n-C4H10, and He are 28.0, 28.1, 30.5, 31.3, and 20.3 (MHz/Torr), respectively. The corresponding shift rates γS are −8.4, −8.8, −9.7, −10.0, and 0.39 (MHz/Torr), respectively. The measured rates of Rb for the hydrocarbon buffer gas series of this study are also compared to the theoretically calculated rates of a purely attractive van der Waals difference potential. Good agreement is found to exist between measured and theoretical rates. 相似文献
