利用严格对角化方法研究了Thue-Morse准周期调制下 自旋1/2反铁磁XY模型中的晶格畸变行为. 结果显示: 系统中每个格点的晶格畸变幅度介于均匀分布和无序分布之间. 对于较弱的准周期调制, 调制强度的增加有利于晶格畸变的形成. 但是, 对于较强的准周期调制, 调制强度的增加则阻碍晶格畸变的形成. 此外, 系统低能谱的能隙也明显受到准周期调制的影响. 关键词: 晶格畸变 Thue-Morse序列 准周期调制  相似文献

The effect of an elastic spontaneous distortion of the crystal lattice of a doped semiconductor Ge:As near the insulator–metal (IM) phase transition has been discovered. The effect is manifested in the electron spin resonance (ESR) of neutral As atoms as a splitting of the single resonance absorption line. It observed at electron concentrations in the range 0.8 < n/nC < 1 at low temperatures T < 100 K (nC = 3.7 × 1017 cm‐3 is the critical electron concentration for the IM phase transition). The splitting is the strongest along each of the six [110] directions, which indicates that the local lattice distortion occurs just in these directions. As a result, a sample is possibly divided into separate domains differing in the directions of compressive or tensile deformations. A study of concentration, temperature, and angular dependences of the effect has shown that the phenomenon discovered can be understood in terms of the Peierls spin transition model.  相似文献

The partially disordered antiferromagnetic (PDA) state, as an exotic phase peculiar to the antiferromagnet with Ising spin in triangular lattice, is investigated by using Monte Carlo simulations of Wang-Landau algorithm and Glauber algorithm. It is revealed that PDA state, as the ground state of the triangular antiferromagnetic system, presents the complicated spin configuration due to geometrical frustration. The formation of multi-domain structure within the framework of honeycomb antiferromagnet results in the high degeneracy of PDA state. And this degeneracy of ground state can be lifted by a small magnetic field. Consequently the system shows the ferrimagnetic state, and the magnetization plateau of 1/3 saturate value (Ms) is observed in many experiments. Moreover, due to the multi-domain structure of PDA state and those spins on domain walls, the metastable steps may manifest themselves superposed on the 1/3Ms plateau in some special cases.  相似文献

We consider lattice versions of Maxwell's equations and of the equation that governs the propagation of acoustic waves in a random medium. The vector nature of electromagnetic waves is fully taken into account. The medium is assumed to be a small perturbation of a periodic one. We prove rigorously that localized eigenstates arise in a vicinity of the edges of the gaps in the spectrum. A key ingredient is a new Wegner-type estimate for a class of lattice operators with off-diagonal disorder.  相似文献

The spiral distortion coefficient can be evaluated explicitly in terms of Bessel function. We describe the rich spectrum of spatio-temporal phenomena emerging from a class of models incorporating adaptive dynamics on a lattice of nonlinear (typically chaotic) elements. The investigation is based on extensive numerical simulations which reveal many novel dynamical phases, ranging from spatio-temporal fixed points and cycles of all orders, to parameter regimes displaying marked scaling properties (as manifest in distinct 1/f spectral characteristics and power law distributions of spatial quantities).  相似文献

We study diluted antiferromagnetic Ising models on triangular and kagome lattices in a magnetic field, using the replica-exchange Monte Carlo method. We observe seven and five plateaus in the magnetization curve of the diluted antiferromagnetic Ising model on the triangular and kagome lattices, respectively, when a magnetic field is applied. These observations contrast with the two plateaus observed in the pure model. The origin of multiple plateaus is investigated by considering the spin configuration of triangles in the diluted models. We compare these results with those of a diluted antiferromagnetic Ising model on the three-dimensional pyrochlore lattice in a magnetic field pointing in the [111] direction, sometimes referred to as the “kagome-ice” problem. We discuss the similarity and dissimilarity of the magnetization curves of the “kagome-ice” state and the two-dimensional kagome lattice.  相似文献

We rigorously investigate the size dependence of disordered mean-field models with finite local spin space in terms of metastates. Thereby we provide an illustration of the framework of metastates for systems of randomly competing Gibbs measures. In particular we consider the thermodynamic limit of the empirical metastate , whereμ n (η) is the Gibbs measure in the finite volume {1,…,n} and the frozen disorder variableη is fixed. We treat explicitly the Hopfield model with finitely many patterns and the Curie-Weiss random field Ising model. In both examples in the phase transition regime the empirical metastate is dispersed for largeN. Moreover, it does not converge for a.e.η, but rather in distribution, for whose limits we given explicit expressions. We also discuss another notion of metastates, due to Aizenman and Wehr.  相似文献

Two different lattice actions reproducing the CPN−1 model in the continuum are discussed and, in the two cases, strong and weak coupling expansions relative to different physical quantities are obtained. Large-N behaviour is analyzed by evaluating the limiting value of the two partition functions. In neither case does a smooth transition seem possible between strong and weak coupling regions for the limiting model.  相似文献

We study the topological properties of spin-orbit coupled s-wave superconductor in one-dimensional optical lattice. Compared to its corresponding continuum model, the single particle spectrum is modified by the optical lattice and the topological phase which is characterized by the Majorana edge modes can survive in two regions of the singleparticle spectrum. With the help of the self-consistent Bogoliubov-de Gennes calculation in the harmonic trap, we find that the existence of an upper critical magnetic field removes the topological superconductor phase to the trap wings.We also study the effects of nonmagnetic and magnetic impurity on the topological properties, and find the universal behavior of the mid-gap state induced by impurity in the topological superconductor phase in strong scattering limit.  相似文献

Using Monte Carlo methods, the short-time dynamic scaling behaviour of two-dimensional critical XY systems is investigated. Our results for the XY model show that there exists universal scaling behaviour already in the short-time regime, but the values of the dynamic exponent z differ for different initial conditions. For the fully frustrated XY model, power law scaling behaviour is also observed in the short-time regime. However, a violation of the standard scaling relation between the exponents is detected.  相似文献

Parrondo games are coin flipping games with the surprising property that alternating plays of two losing games can produce a winning game. We show that this phenomenon can be modelled by probabilistic lattice gas automata. Furthermore, motivated by the recent introduction of quantum coin flipping games, we show that quantum lattice gas automata provide an interesting definition for quantum Parrondo games.  相似文献

A class of lattice models for a binary mixture is defined by assuming that one of the components may form bonds to neighboring molecules of the same species. It is assumed that the fugacity of a molecule depends on the number of bonds which connect the molecule to other molecules. If no molecule is allowed to be connected by more than two bonds to other molecules, then no phase transition occurs, while phase transition can occur if more than two bonds are allowed. 利用固相反应法制备了Dy1-xPrxFeO3系列化合物. X射线粉末衍射晶体结构分析表明, 随着Pr掺杂量x的增加, 样品晶胞体积逐渐增大, 晶格畸变减弱. Raman光谱测量表明稀土离子有效质量[meff=xmPr+(1-x)mDy] 与晶格结构的变化共同导致该体系Raman光谱的变化. 随Pr掺杂量的增加, 波数小于200 cm-1的振动模式基本保持不变, 而波数大于200 cm-1的振动模式(除420 cm-1处的B3u模式外)向低频移动. 磁测量结果表明, 由Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya 相互作用导致的宏观磁性随Pr掺杂量增加逐渐减弱. 稀土离子与铁离子磁晶格的耦合作用以及晶格结构畸变的变化共同导致该体系自旋重取向相变温度在一定的掺杂量 (x=0.3)前后先升高后降低. 关键词: 稀土铁氧体 自旋重取向 晶体结构 Raman光谱  相似文献

Lattice, magnetic and orbital structures in KCuF3 are self-consistently determined by our cluster self-consistent field approach based on a spin-orbital-lattice Hamiltonian. Two stable structures are obtained and found to be degenerate, which confirms the presence of the coexistent phases observed experimentally. We clearly show that due to the inherent frustration, the ground state of the system only with the superexchange interaction is degenerate; while the Jahn-Teller distortion, especially the anharmonic effect, stabilizes the orbital ordered phase at about 23% in the x2-y2 orbit and at 77% in the 3z2-r2 orbit. Meanwhile the magnetic moment of Cu is considerably reduced to 0.56μB, and magnetic coupling strengths are highly anisotropic, Jz/Jxy ≈ 18. These results are in good agreement with the experiments, implying that the anharmonic Jahn-Teller effect plays an essential role in stabilising the orbital ordered ground state of KCuF3.  相似文献

We present first-principles calculations of hyperfine fields of heavy impurities in bcc Fe. In particular, the effect of lattice relaxations on the calculated hyperfine fields are studied. The calculations are based on a full-potential Korringa–Kohn–Rostoker Green's-function method for defects and employ the local spin-density approximation for the exchange and correlation effects. The calculated lattice relaxations around the 5sp and 6sp impurities in Fe are found to be relatively small, for the first and second nearest neighbor shells less than 6% of the nearest neighbor distance. Also the estimated relative volume changes induced by the sp impurities are found to be around 60–95% of the elementary volume of Fe, surprisingly small in view of the large atomic volumes of the impurities. The calculated hyperfine fields of 5sp and 6sp elements are compared with available experimental data and it is shown that the inclusion of lattice relaxations in the calculation improves the agreement with experiments.  相似文献
