Uranyl (Ⅵ) amidoxime complexes are investigated using relativistic density functional theory. The equilibrium structures, bond orders, and Mulliken populations of the complexes have been systematically investigated under a generalized gradient approximation (GGA). Comparison of (acet) uranyl amidoxime complexes ([UO 2 (AO) n ] 2 n , 1≤ n ≤4) with available experimental data shows an excellent agreement. In addition, the U-O(1), U-O(3), C(1)-N(2), and C(3)-N(4) bond lengths of [UO 2 (CH 3 AO) 4 ] 2 are longer than experimental data by about 0.088, 0.05, 0.1, and 0.056 A. The angles of N(3)-O(3)-U, O(2)-N(1)-C(1), N(3)-C(3)-N(4), N(4)-C(3)-C(4), and C(4)-C(3)-N(3) are different from each other, which is due to existing interaction between oxygen in uranyl and hydrogen in amino group. This interaction is found to be intra-molecular hydrogen bond. Studies on the bond orders, Mulliken charges, and Mulliken populations demonstrate that uranyl oxo group functions as hydrogen-bond acceptors and H atoms in ligands act as hydrogen-bond donors forming hydrogen bonds within the complex.  相似文献

Under the generalized gradient approximation, the electronic structures and magnetic properties of Fe(1-x)Cox alloy nanowires encapsulated inside zigzag (10,0) carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are investigated systematically using firstprinciple density functional theory calculations. For the fully relaxed Fe(1-x)Cox/CNT structures, all the C atoms relax outwards, and thus the diameters of the CNTs are slightly increased. Formation energy analysis shows that the combining processes of all Fe(1-x)Cox/CNT systems are exothermic, and therefore the Fe(1-x)Coxalloy nanowires can be encapsulated into semiconducting zigzag (10,0) CNTs and form stable hybrid structures. The charges are transferred from the Fe(1-x)Coxnanowires to the more electronegative CNTs, and the Fe-C/Co-C bonds formed have polar covalent bond characteristics. Both the spin polarization and total magnetic moment of the Fe(1-x)Cox/CNT system are smaller than those of the corresponding freestanding Fe(1-x)Coxnanowire, and the magnetic moment of the Fe(1-x)Cox/CNT system decreases monotonously with increasing Co concentration, but the Fe(1-x)Cox/CNT systems still have a large magnetic moment, implying that they can be utilized in high-density magnetic recording devices.  相似文献

We investigate the structural, electronic and adsorption properties of one single CO molecule adsorbed on RhN (N = 2-19) clusters, using the density-functional theory in the spin-polarized generalized gradient approximation. It is found that the structural growth model of the RhN clusters transforms from double layers (N = 12-16) to three layers (N = 17-19). Three different adsorption types are the atop site adsorption for N = 6, 8, 9, 11, 12, the bridge site adsorption for N = 2-5, 7, 10, 13-15, 17 and the face adsorption for N = 16, 18, 19. The adsorption abilities of RhN clusters are related to C-O bond length, vibrational frequency, adsorption energy and the charge transfer between CO and Rh clusters as well as the electronic density of state. With the increase of Rh cluster size, the adsorption energy of CO adsorbed on RhN clusters tends to be 2.2 eV-2.3 eV, which is 0.2 eV-0.3 eV larger than the theoretical value (about 2.0 eV) of CO molecule adsorption on clean Rh (111) surface.  相似文献

Density functional theory (DFT) calculations are employed to explore the NO2-sensing mechanisms of pure and Ti-doped WO3 (002) surfaces. When Ti is doped into the WO3 surface, two substitution models are considered: substitution of Ti for W6c and substitution of Ti for W5c. The results reveal that substitution of Ti for 5-fold W forms a stable doping structure, and doping induces some new electronic states in the band gap, which may lead to changes in the surface properties. Four top adsorption models of NO2 on pure and Ti-doped WO3 (002) surfaces are investigated: adsorptions on 5-fold W (Ti), on 6-fold W, on bridging oxygen, and on plane oxygen. The most stable and likely NO2 adsorption structures are both N-end oriented to the surface bridge oxygen O1c site. By comparing the adsorption energy and the electronic population, it is found that Ti doping can enhance the adsorption of NO2, which theoretically proves the experimental observation that Ti doping can greatly increase the WO3 gas sensor sensitivity to NO2 gas.  相似文献

The equilibrium structures and the electronic, spectroscopic and thermodynamic properties of small Pun (n=2-5) molecules are systematically investigated using the methods of general gradient approximation (GGA) of density functional theory (DFT). The results show that the bond length of the lowest-energy structure of Pu2 is 2.578 AA. The ground state structure of Pu3 is a triangle with D3h symmetry, whereas for Pu4, the ground state structure is a square (D4h) and the spin polarization of 16 for molecule Pu5 with square geometry (D4h) is the most stable structure. For the ground state structures, the vibrational spectra as well as thermodynamic parameters are worked out. In addition, the values for the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) along with the energy gap of all the Pu2-5 structures are presented. The relevant structural and chemical stabilities are predicted.  相似文献

The geometries, electronic structures and related properties of SimN8-m(0 〈 m 〈 8) clusters are studied using density functional theory (DFT) with hybrid functional B3LYP. The calculated results reveal several trends. For any stoichiometric clusters, the lowest energy isomers with an alteration of N and Si atoms are favourable in energy if the numbers of Si and N atoms are large enough to form ... Si N-Si-N... alternative chains. The bond lengths of single Si-N bonds are very close to the corresponding values of the bulk and other SiN clusters. The geometries for N-rich and Si4N4 clusters are planar structures, but three-dimensional structures are favourable in energy for Si-rich clusters. With the increase of m, the isotropic polarizability and average polarizability increase, the total binding energies generally decrease, the HOMO-LUMO gap and vertical ionization potential oscillate with increasing number of valence electrons, and their values with even valence electrons are larger than those with odd valence electrons. The atomic charges, IR and Raman properties are also reported.  相似文献

The interactions of dihydrogen with lithium containing organic complexes C4H4-mLim and C5H5-mLim (m = 1, 2) were studied by means of density functional theory (DFT) calculation. For all the complexes considered, each bonded lithium atom can adsorb up to five H2 molecules with the mean binding energy of 0.59 eV/H2 molecule. The interactions can be attributed to the charge transfer from the H2 bonding orbitals to the Li 2s orbitals. The kinetic stability of these hydrogen-covered organolithium molecules is discussed in terms of the energy gap between the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO). The results indicate that these organiclithium structures can perhaps be used as building units for potential hydrogen storage materials.  相似文献

Adsorption of atomic carbon on 6-Pu(111) surface is investigated systematically using density functional theory with RPBE functional. The adsorption energies, adsorption structures, Mulliken population, work functions, layer and projected density of states are calculated in wide ranges of coverage, which have never been studied before as far as we know. It is found that the hcp-hollow sites is the energetically favorable site for all the coverage range considered. The repulsive interaction is identified, and the adsorption energy decreases with the coverage, while work function increases linearly with the coverage. It is found that the C-Pu interaction is very strong due to the hybridization between the C 2p states and the Pu 5 f , Pu 6p,Pu 6d states of topmost layer Plutonium atoms.  相似文献

This study aims to understand the complexation of uranyl with amidoxime in aqueous solution under different pH levels using density functional theory calculations. The geometries, relative stabilities of complexes, and changes in Gibbs free energies for different complexing reactions were investigated. Amidoximate ions were gradually added to the equatorial plane of uranyl to understand the complexation process. We modelled the effect of pH by varying the number of OH? and H2O ligands accompanying amidoximate ions in the equatorial plane of uranyl. The ?2 binding motif was the most favourable form, regardless of the uranyl/amidoximate ratio and the pH level. Compared with low and high pH, neutral pH condition was more beneficial to the complexation of uranyl with amidoxime.  相似文献

Raman spectra of the uranyl oxyhydroxy‐hydrated mineral compreignacite, K2[(UO2)3O2(OH)3]2·7H2O, were measured and interpreted. Observed bands were attributed to the stretching and bending vibrations of uranyl units, molecular water and hydroxyl ions. U O bond lengths in uranyl and O HO hydrogen bond lengths were inferred from the spectra and compared with those from the X‐ray single crystal structure data. The extraction of UO2+ 2 from nitric acid solutions by two neutral donors ligands (L), triphenylarsine oxide (Ph3AsO) and triphenylphosphine oxide (Ph3PO), in chloroform is investigated. At low HNO3 acid concentrations (<2 M), UO2 2+ is highly extracted as simple cation by Ph3AsO and slightly extracted by Ph3PO. The extraction constant of UO2 2+ from low nitric acid medium is found to equal 1212 ± 120. At higher HNO3 concentration (>2 M), UO2 2+ is extracted by ion association mechanism as UO2 (NO3)2- 2L, and the distribution ratio of UO2 2+ using Ph3PO is found to be higher than that of Ph3AsO. This is interpreted by the extraction competition of HNO3 for Ph3AsO. Spectroscopic investigations in the visible and IR regions supported the results obtained.  相似文献

The results of the first structural studies (with the use of both experimental and theoretical methods) on pyrazine‐2‐amidoxime (PAOX) were shown and discussed. FT‐IR spectra were recorded in different concentrations of the PAOX in apolar solvent to check the possibility of the inter‐ or intramolecular hydrogen‐bond formation. All possible tautomers–rotamers of PAOX were then theoretically considered at the DFT(B3LYP)/6‐311+G** level in vacuo. For selected isomers, calculations were also performed at higher levels of theory {B3LYP/6‐311+G(3df,2p) and G3B3}. Based on the results of DFT calculations, the most stable isomers were found, and their total free energies and infrared spectra were calculated. The energy variation plots for the N8?C7?N9?O10 and N1?C2?C7?N9 dihedral angles were also computed to find two energy barriers, one for E/Z isomerization around the C7?N9 double bond and the other one for rotation of the pyrazinyl ring around the C2?C7 single bond. The results show that the stability of the PAOX isomers strongly depend on their configuration and orientation of the substituents. The possibilities of inter‐ and intramolecular hydrogen bonds were also experimentally and theoretically checked. Finally, a potential of mean force was determined in CHCl3 for a dimer of PAOX with hexamethylphosphoramide. Both, experimental and theoretical results are in agreement. Poly(acrylonitrile)/cellulose block copolymer (PAN-b-cell) was prepared by using a free radical initiating process and then the nitrile functional groups of the PAN blocks of the copolymers were transformed into amidoxime ligands. The resulting poly(amidoxime) ligands could complex with heavy metal ions; for example, the reflectance spectra of the [Cu -ligand]n+ was found to be at the highest absorbance, about 94%, at pH 6. The pH was the key parameter for metal ions sensing by the ligand. The adsorption capacity for copper was very good, 272 mg g?1, with a fast adsorption rate (t1/2 = 10 min). The adsorption capacities for other heavy metal ions such as Fe3+, Cr3+, Co3+ and Ni2+ were also good, being 242, 219, 201 and 195 mg g?1, respectively, at pH 6. The heavy metal ions removal efficiency from water was 98% at low concentration. The data proved that the heavy metal ions adsorption onto the polymer ligands were well fitted with the Langmuir isotherm model (R2>0.99), which suggests that the cellulose-based adsorbent surface namely the poly(amidoxime) ligand, was homogenous and a monolayer. The reusability was examined by a sorption/desorption process for six cycles and the extraction efficiency was determined. This new adsorbent could be reused for 6 cycles without any significant loss in its original removal function.  相似文献

The uranyl tellurite mineral moctezumite, Pb(UO2)(TeO3)2, was studied by Raman spectroscopy and complemented with infrared spectroscopy. The presence of the stretching and bending vibrations of uranyl (UO2)2+ and tellurite (TeO3)2− ions was inferred, and the observed bands were assigned to uranyl and tellurite units vibrations. U O bond lengths calculated from the spectra with two empirical relations are close to those inferred from the X‐ray single‐crystal structure of moctezumite. Raman spectra of the uranyl titanate mineral betafite were obtained and related to the mineral structure. A comparison is made with the spectra of uranyl oxyhydroxide hydrates. Observed bands are attributed to the (UO2)2+ stretching and bending vibrations, U–OH bending vibrations and H2O and (OH)? stretching, bending and libration modes. U–O bond lengths in uranyls and O?H···O bond lengths are calculated from the wavenumbers assigned to the stretching vibrations. Raman bands of betafite are comparable with those of the uranyl oxyhydroxides. The mineral betafite is metamict as is evidenced by the intensity of the UO stretching and bending modes being of lower intensity than expected and by bands that are significantly broader.  相似文献

A series of blue phosphorescent heteroleptic cyclometalated Ir(III) complexes with mesitylphenyl-imidazole ligands for organic light-emitting devices have been theoretically studied. We want to find their electronic structures, spectroscopic properties, and application value for organic light-emitting devices. (fppz)2Ir(acac), (fppz)2Ir(tpip), (dfbdp)2Ir(fppz), (F-fppz)2Ir(acac), (F-fppz)2Ir(tpip), and (dfbdp)2Ir(F-fppz) are investigated with DFT and TD-DFT approaches, where, for (fppz)2Ir(acac), (fppz denotes 2-(5-(trifluoromethyl)-4H-pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine, and acac denotes acetylacetonate); for (fppz)2Ir(tpip), tpip denotes tetraphenylimido-diphosphinate; and, for (F-fppz)2Ir(acac) and (F-fppz)2Ir(tpip), F-fppz denotes 2-(5-fluoro-4H-pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine.  相似文献

利用密度泛函理论的方法研究了C@Al12Hn(1≤n≤7)团簇的结构和稳定性.n为偶数的C@Al12Hn具有更高的稳定性,大的HOMO-LUMO能隙、H原子的结合能以及高的垂直电离势表明这些团簇具有很高的物理和化学稳定性.最高占据分子轨道电荷密度分析显示,偶数n的C@Al12Hn团簇中,一对H原子倾向于占据相反的位置.变形电荷密度分析表明H原子与主体C@Al12之间的结合表现为共价键的特征.对奇数n的C@Al12Hn都具有1μB的磁矩.  相似文献
