We have studied the generation of multipartite entangled states for the superconducting phase qubits. The experiments performed in this direction have the capacity to generate several specific multipartite entangled states for three and four qubits. Our studies are also important as we have used a computable measure of genuine multipartite entanglement whereas all previous studies analyzed certain probability amplitudes. As a comparison, we have reviewed the generation of multipartite entangled states via von Neumann projective measurements. 相似文献

We review briefly the problems that are driving the search for a quantum computer. These include, primarily, methods for encryption and decryption based on Shor’s algorithm for factoring large integers and the use of Pell’s equation for encryption. We also outline some of the approaches that have been suggested for implementing a quantum computer and then focus on Josephson-junction systems as qubits. We have been investigating the current-biased Josephson junction for this application, a suggestion we made about 2 years ago. We have studied macroscopic quantum tunneling and energy level spectroscopy, using microwaves, in single junctions and recently we have begun measurements of the two-quantum bit (qubit) system, i.e. two capacitively coupled junctions. Theoretical studies of energy levels and their dynamic evolution are also in progress. In the present report we discuss the basics of single Josephson junctions and compare their potential as qubits with the potentials of other systems. We also discuss our future plans to obtain greater isolation of the junctions from sources of decoherence and to develop realistic qubits. An important first step must be to exhibit quantum entanglement and measure coherence times. Then it must be shown that the states of the qubits can be initialized, that gate operations can be performed, and that the results can be read out. 相似文献

A new simplified formula is presented to characterize genuine tripartite entanglement of (2 2 n)-dimensional quantum pure states. The formula turns out equivalent to that given in (Quant. Inf. Comp. 7(7) 584 (2007)), hence it also shows that the genuine tripartite entanglement can be described only on the basis of the local (2 2)-dimensional reduced density matrix. In particular, the two exactly solvable models of spin system studied by Yang (Phys. Rev. A 71 030302(R) (2005)) are reconsidered by employing the formula. The results show that a discontinuity in the first derivative of the formula or in the formula itself of the ground state just corresponds to the existence of quantum phase transition, which is obviously different from the concurrence. 相似文献

Quantum state transfer (QST) and entangled state generation (ESG) are important building blocks for modern quantum information processing. To achieve these tasks, convention wisdom is to consult the quantum adiabatic evolution, which is time-consuming, and thus is of low fidelity. Here, using the shortcut to adiabaticity technique, we propose a general method to realize high-fidelity fast QST and ESG in a cavity-coupled many qubits system via its dark pathways, which can be further designed for high-fidelity quantum tasks with different optimization purpose. Specifically, with a proper dark pathway, QST and ESG between any two qubits can be achieved without decoupling the others, which simplifies experimental demonstrations. Meanwhile, ESG among all qubits can also be realized in a single step. In addition, our scheme can be implemented in many quantum systems, and we illustrate its implementation on superconducting quantum circuits. Therefore, we propose a powerful strategy for selective quantum manipulation, which is promising in cavity coupled quantum systems and could find many convenient applications in quantum information processing. 相似文献

quantum computer consisting of many qubits can be immersed in a
common environment as a simple decoherence mechanism. This paper
studies the dynamics of entanglement witness for 3-qubit cluster
states in the common environment. The result shows that environment
can induce an interesting feature in the time evolution of the
entanglement witness: i.e., the periodical collapse and revival of

The sudden death of entanglement is investigated for
the non-Markovian dynamic process of a pair of interacting flux qubits
under a thermal bath. The results show that, for initially two-qubit
entangled states, entanglement sudden death (ESD) always
happens in the thermal reservoir, where its appearance
strongly depends on the environment.
In particular, ESD of the qubits occurs more easily for the non-Markovian

A scheme is proposed to generate GHZ state and realize quantum phase gate for superconducting qubits placed in a microwave cavity. This scheme uses resonant interaction between the qubits and the cavity mode, so that the interaction time is short, which is important in view of decoherence. In particular, the phase gate can be realized simply with a single interaction between the qubits and the cavity mode. With cavity decay being considered, the fidelity and success probability are both very close to unity. 相似文献

We study entanglement teleportation in the two‐qubit XX Heisenberg model with pure phase decoherence taken into account. For some initial entangled states, pure phase decoherence has no effect on the teleported entanglement, while for others pure phase decoherence has a pronounced effect. In this paper, we consider the entanglement dynamics of a four-qubit model [2006 Phys. Rev. A 74 042328] where two entangled qubits a and b locally interact with separate qubits A and B via the spin-exchange-like Hamiltonian. We study the effect of purity of initial entangled state of qubits a, b on the entanglement evolution and its relation with energy transfer. Also, we find that the total bipartite entanglement of qubits a, b plus A, B is not a constant any longer when the initial entangled state of a, b is not pure, which is a complement to the result in the paper [2007 J. Feasible schemes for implementing quantum swap gates of both coherent-state qubits and photonic qubits are proposed using a Λ-type atomic ensemble trapped in a bimodal optical cavity. In both protocols, the decoherence from atomic spontaneous emission is negligible due to the fact that the excited states of the atoms are adiabatically eliminated under large detuning condition and the swap gates can be created in a single step. In our schemes, the required atoms-cavity interaction time decreases with the increase of the number of atoms, which is very important in view of decoherence. This paper investigates the entanglement dynamics of a Heisenberg XY model for a two-spin system in the presence of a nonuniform magnetic field.The master equations and the concurrence evolution equations for the initial α state are derived and analysed.It is shown that for the symmetric initial α state,only the nonuniform field can play a role in entanglement dynamics while the uniform field and the bath will not play such a role.For the asymmetric α state,the nonuniform field leads to the beat pattern oscillation of the concurrence evolution.The inhomogeneity of the field can enhance the entanglement by suppressing the decoherence effects of both the spin-orbit interaction and the spin bath. 相似文献
