We show that a spatially dependent magnetic field can induce a persistent spin current in a spin-1/2 Heisenberg antiferromagnetic ring, proportional to the solid angle subtended by the magnetic field on a unit sphere. The magnitude of the spin current is determined by the ratio of longitudinal and transverse exchange interactions J(parallel)/J(perpendicular) and by the magnetic field magnitude.  相似文献

In this study, we explore the entanglement of free spin-(1/2), spin-1, and spin-2 fields. We start with an example involving Majorana fields in 1+1 and 2+1 dimensions. Subsequently, we perform the Bogoliubov transformation and express the vacuum state with a particle pair state in the configuration space, which is used to calculate the entropy. This clearly demonstrates that the entanglement entropy originates from the particles across the boundary.Finally, we generalize this method to free spin-1 and spin-2 fields. These higher free massless spin fields have wellknown complications owing to gauge redundancy. We deal with the redundancy by gauge-fixing in the light-cone gauge. We show that this gauge provides a natural tensor product structure in the Hilbert space, while surrendering explicit Lorentz invariance. We also use the Bogoliubov transformation to calculate the entropy. The area law emerges naturally by this method.  相似文献

Measurements involving spin-1/2 meters which result in the simultaneous measurement of spin components are described. The spin analoge of the Arthur-Kelly experiment is contrasted with a simultaneous measurement which interacts with the system. Naimark extensions are constructed and Bloch state projection properties are discussed for each case. The theory is extended to squeezed angular momentum measurement.  相似文献

Two layered magnetic Bethe lattice with varying coordination number q is introduced and numerically studied via exact recursion relations within a pairwise approach. The system is influenced by competing interlayer and intralayer nearest-neighbour (NN) coupling interactions and also by the crystal and external magnetic fields. Cases where both layers are ferromagnetic or one is ferro and the other antiferromagnetic are considered. System configurations’ energy calculations are used to devise some ground state phase diagrams that have proven useful for the investigation of the very low temperature behaviour of the model. Analysis of the thermal behaviours of the total magnetization within the model parameters’ space yield interesting phase diagrams which display fascinating properties, in particular the presence of tricritical points. Increasing negative values of the crystal field strength stabilizes the disordered paramagnetic phase and sometimes gives rise to wavy transition lines.  相似文献

Using results on the mass gap in the sine-Gordon model combined with the exact amplitudes in the bosonized representation of the Heisenberg spin-1/2 chain and one-loop renormalization group, we derive a quantitative expression for the gap in a dimerized spin-1/2 chain. The electron effective masses in n-type modulation doped Ga0.7In0.3N y As1?y /GaAs quantum wells with nitrogen mole fractions of y = 0.004 and 0.010 were investigated experimentally. Two experimental techniques: magnetic field dependent photoluminescence measurements and phonon-plasmon coupled-mode line-shape analysis of vibrational spectroscopy measurements, were employed in the investigations. In the first technique, the effective masses of the electrons have been determined from the diamagnetic energy shift dependencies up to 11 T. The vibrational properties of the samples were studied using Raman scattering spectroscopy at room temperature. The effective masses obtained from both two techniques are in good agreement with the current results in the literature.  相似文献

We present a study, within a mean-field approach, of the kinetics of a mixed ferrimagnetic model on a square lattice in which two interpenetrating square sublattices have spins that can take two values, , alternated with spins that can take the four values, . We use the Glauber-type stochastic dynamics to describe the time evolution of the system with a crystal-field interaction in the presence of a time-dependent oscillating external magnetic field. The nature (continuous and discontinuous) of transition is characterized by studying the thermal behaviors of average order parameters in a period. The dynamic phase transition points are obtained and the phase diagrams are presented in the reduced magnetic field amplitude (h) and reduced temperature (T) plane, and in the reduced temperature and interaction parameter planes, namely in the (h, T) and (d, T) planes, d is the reduced crystal-field interaction. The phase diagrams always exhibit a tricritical point in (h, T) plane, but do not exhibit in the (d, T) plane for low values of h. The dynamic multicritical point or dynamic critical end point exist in the (d, T) plane for low values of h. Moreover, phase diagrams contain paramagnetic (p), ferromagnetic (f), ferrimagnetic (i) phases, two coexistence or mixed phase regions, (f+p) and (i+p), that strongly depend on interaction parameters.  相似文献

The decoherence process of a central spin-1/2 particle coupling to the surrounding anisotropy spin-1/2 chain in a transverse field at finite temperature is studied in this Letter. We study the Loschmidt echo(LE) of the central spin when the surrounding spin chain is in the thermal equilibrium state. Our results show that the critical enhanced decay of LE at zero temperature becomes indistinct with the temperature increasing and will be completely washed out when the temperature is high enough.  相似文献

对于无限大尺寸两腿自旋1/2的XXZ自旋梯子模型,通过运用基于随机行走的张量网络(TN)算法数值模拟出基态波函数,首次尝试研究自旋梯子模型的约化保真度、普适序参量、纠缠熵等物理观测量,并系统研究基态保真度的三维挤点与二维分叉、约化保真度的分叉、局域序参量、普适序参量、纠缠熵和量子相变之间存在的关联关系.基于张量网络表示的算法在任意随机选择初始状态时,可以得到两腿XXZ量子自旋梯子系统简并的对称破缺基态波函数,该基态波函数是由于Z2对称破缺引起的.本文期望所提供的方法可为进一步研究凝聚态物质中热力学极限下的强关联电子量子晶格自旋梯子系统的量子相变和量子临界现象提供一种更有效的强大的工具.  相似文献

The magnetic properties of a mixed spin ferrimagnetic system σ?=?1/2 and S?=?2 at the sites of a square lattice with a random crystal field are studied by the mean field approximation. The ground state of the system is determined and the total magnetization is plotted according to the model parameters. Different behaviors for the thermal dependence of the magnetization are highlighted. In particular, one sees the appearance of one or two compensating points and many types of phase diagrams with first and second order phase transition lines as well as isolated critical and tricritical points.  相似文献

A theoretical study of a mixed spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 Ising system with independent transverse fields is presented using an effective field method within the framework of a single-site cluster theory. In this approach the effective field equations are derived using a probability distribution method based on the use of generalized van der Waerden identities accounting exactly for the single-site kinematic relations. The effect of the transverse fields on the critical behaviour is studied. The thermal dependence of the longitudinal and transverse components of the magnetization and its higher moments is also studied.  相似文献

We investigate entanglement of spin pairs in alternating open spin chains (s = 1/2) with spin-spin interactions (SSI) in the thermodynamic equilibrium state in an external magnetic field. The reduced density matrix of an arbitrarily chosen spin pair was calculated. The entanglement of a spin pair was evaluated with the Wootters criterion. The temperature at which the entangled state arises in the chosen pair was determined. Entanglement (concurrence) is shown to oscillate as a function of the position of a spin pair in the chain. The results demonstrate the dependence of the entanglement in arbitrarily chosen pairs of neighboring spins on the temperature, the position of the spin pair in the chain, chain length, and the ratio between the SSI constants. Qualitative explanation of these dependences is offered. The role of the terminal spins in the generation of entanglement is explained.  相似文献

We investigate a model of a frustrated spin-1/2 Heisenberg chain coupled to adiabatic phonons with a general form of magnetoelastic coupling. For large enough frustration and lattice coupling, a new tetramerized phase with three different bond lengths is found. We argue that the zigzag spin-1/2 chain LiV2O5 might be a good candidate to observe such a phase.  相似文献
