The polymers with functionalized alkoxy groups and with narrow molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn < 1.12) are obtained from the living polymerization of 2‐alkoxy‐1‐methylenecyclopropanes using π‐allylpalladium complex, [(PhC3H4)Pd(μ‐Cl)]2, as the initiator. The polymers with oligoethylene glycol groups in the alkoxy substituent are soluble in water, and hydroboration of the C?C double bond and ensuing addition of the OH groups to C?N bond of alkyl isocyanate produce the polymers with urethane pendant groups. The reaction decreases solubility of the polymer in water significantly. Di‐ and triblock copolymers of the 2‐alkoxy‐1‐methylenecyclopropanes are prepared by consecutive addition of the two or three 2‐alkoxy‐1‐methylenecyclopropane monomers to the Pd initiator. The polymers which contain both hydrophobic butoxy or tert‐butoxy group and hydrophilic oligoethylene glycol group dissolve in water and/or organic solvents, depending on the substituents. The 1H NMR spectrum of poly( 1a ‐b‐ 1h ) (? (CH2C(?CH2)CHOBu)n? (CH2C(?CH2)CH(OCH2CH2)3OMe)m? ) in D2O solution exhibits peaks because of the butoxy and ?CH2 hydrogen in decreased intensity, indicating that the polymer forms micelle particles containing the hydrophilic segments in their external parts. Aqueous solution of the polymer with a small amount of DPH (DPH = 1,6‐diphenyl‐1,3,5‐hexatriene) shows the absorbance due to DPH at concentration of the polymer higher than 5.82 × 10?5 g mL?1. Other block copolymers such as poly( 1b ‐b‐ 1h ) and poly( 1a ‐b‐ 1g ) also form the micelles that contain DPH in their core. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of mesogen‐jacketed liquid crystalline polymers, poly{2,2,3,3,4,4,4‐heptafluorobutyl 4′‐hydroxy‐2‐vinylbiphenyl‐4‐carboxylate} (PF3Cm, where m is the number of carbon atoms in the alkoxy groups, and m = 1, 4, 6, and 8), the side chain of which contains a biphenyl core with a fluorocarbon substituent at one end and an alkoxy unit of varying length on the other end, were designed and successfully synthesized via atom transfer radical polymerization. For comparison, poly{butyl 4′‐hydroxy‐2‐vinylbiphenyl‐4‐carboxylate} (PC4Cm), similar to PF3Cm but with a butyl group instead of the fluorocarbon substituent, was also prepared. Differential scanning calorimetric results reveal that the glass transition temperatures (Tgs) of the two series of polymers decrease as m increases and Tgs of the fluorocarbon‐substituted polymers are higher than those of the corresponding butyl‐substituted polymers. Wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction measurements show that the mesophase structures of these polymers are dependent on the number of the carbon atoms in the fluorocarbon substituent and the property of the other terminal substituent. Polymers with fluorocarbon substituents enter into columnar nematic phases when m ≥ 4, whereas the polymer PF3C1 exhibits no liquid crystallinity. For polymers with butyl substituents, columnar nematic phases form when the number of carbon atoms at both ends of the side chain is not equal at high temperatures and disappear after the polymers are cooled to ambient temperature. However, when the polymer has the same number of carbon atoms at both ends of the side chain, a hexagonal columnar phase develops, and this phase remains after the polymer is cooled. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The results herein expand on optimized direct arylation polymerization (DArP) conditions for defect‐free poly[(2,5‐bis (2‐hexyldecyloxy)phenylene)‐alt‐(4,7‐di(thiophen‐2‐yl)benzo[c][1,2,5] thiadiazole)] (PPDTBT). Semi‐alternating and alternating donor–acceptor polymers containing alkoxy phenylene, dithienyl‐substituted thieno[3,4‐c]pyrrole‐4,6‐dione (DTTPD), and dithienyl‐substituted diketopyrrolopyrrole (DTDPP) were prepared via DArP, including a four‐component semi‐alternating copolymer PPDTDPPTPD. Variation of the alkoxy substituents on the phenylene donor including n‐hexyl, 2‐ethylhexyl, or 2‐hexyldecyl allowed for the tuning of thephysical and electronic properties. Molecular weights (M n) ranged from 3.07 to 28.3 kDa for the PPDTTPD polymers and 2.63‐44.0 kDa for the PPDTDPP polymers, depending on the alkoxy substituents. Absorbance maxima and HOMO energies were varied from 550 to 602 nm and ?5.31 to ?5.69 eV for the PPDTTPD polymers and from 671 to 794 nm and ?5.41 to ?5.55 eV for the PPDTDPP polymers, respectively. Additive‐free, bulk heterojunction (BHJ) solar cells were fabricated, and the fill‐factors obtained (0.57–0.63) are some of the highest reported for polymers prepared using DArP. Higher molecular weight polymers for both PPDTTPD (28 kDa) and PPDTDPP (44 kDa) series performed poorly in solar cells. In contrast, the semi‐alternating polymers of lower M n for the PPDTTPD (12.4 kDa) and PPDTDPP (9.05 kDa) series, incorporating both n‐hexyl and 2‐hexyldecyl alkoxy phenylene donors, provided power conversion efficiencies (PCE) of 3.26% and 3.49%, respectively. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. (Acetoxymethyl)silanes 2 , 7 a – c , and 10 a – c with at least one alkoxy group, of the general formula (AcOCH2)Si(OR)3?n(CH3)n (R: Me, Et, iPr; n=0, 1, 2), were synthesized from the corresponding (chloromethyl)silanes 1 , 6 a – c , and 9 a – c by treatment with potassium acetate under phase‐transfer‐catalysis conditions. These compounds were found to provide 2,2,5,5‐organo‐substituted 1,4‐dioxa‐2,5‐disilacyclohexanes 3 , 8 a – c , and 11 a – c if treated with organotin(IV) catalysts such as dioctyltin oxide. The reaction proceeds through transesterification of the acetoxy and alkoxy units followed by ring‐closure to form a dimeric six‐membered ring. The corresponding alkyl acetates are formed as the reaction by‐products. With these mild conditions, the method overcomes the drawbacks of previously reported synthetic routes to furnish 2,2,5,5‐tetramethyl‐1,4‐dioxa‐2,5‐disilacyclohexane ( 3 ) and even allows the synthesis of 1,4‐dioxa‐2,5‐disilacyclohexanes bearing hydrolytically labile alkoxy substituents at the silicon atom in good yields and high purity. These new materials were fully characterized by NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, and X‐ray analysis (trans‐ 8 a ).  相似文献

Monomers derived from 3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene and phenylenes with branched or oligomeric ether dialkoxy substituents were prepared with the Negishi coupling technique. Electrooxidative polymerization led to the corresponding dialkoxy‐substituted 3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene–phenylene polymers, with extremely low oxidation potentials (E1/2,p = ?0.16 to ?0.50 V vs Ag/Ag+) due to the highly electron‐rich nature of these materials. The polymers were electrochromic, reversibly switching from red to blue upon oxidation, with bandgaps at about 2 eV. The electrochemical behavior of the oligomeric ether‐substituted polymer was investigated in the presence of different metal ions. Films of the polymer exhibited electrochemical recognition for several alkali and alkaline‐earth cations with selectivity in the order Li+ > Ba2+ > Na+ > Mg2+. Cyclic voltammetry showed a decrease in the oxidation potential and an improvement in the definition of the voltammetric response, as well as an increase in the overall electroactivity of the polymer films when the concentration of the cations in the medium was increased. These results are discussed in terms of the electrostatic interactions between the complexed cation and the redox center, as well as the diffusion of the ionic species into the polymer matrix. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A series of side‐chain‐functionalized α‐helical polypeptides, i.e., poly(γ‐4‐(3‐chloropropoxycarbonyl)benzyl‐L‐glutamate) (6) have been prepared from n‐butylamine initiated ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) of γ‐4‐(3‐chloropropoxycarbonyl)benzyl‐L‐glutamic acid‐based N‐carboxyanhydride. Polypeptides bearing oligo‐ethylene‐glycol (OEG) groups or 1‐butylimidazolium salts were prepared from 6 via copper‐mediated [2+3] alkyne‐azide 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition or nuleophilic substitution, respectively. CD and FTIR analysis revealed that the polymers adopt α‐helical conformations both in solution and the solid state. Polymers bearing OEG (m = 3) side‐chains showed reversible LCST‐type phase transition behaviors in water while polymers bearing 1‐butylimidazolium and I? counter‐anions exhibited reversible UCST‐type transitions in water. Variable‐temperature UV‐vis analysis revealed that the phase transition temperatures (Tpts) were dependent on the main‐chain length and polymeric concentration. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. A series of comb‐type polycarbosilanes of the type [Si(CH3)(OR)CH2]n {where R = (CH2)mR′, R′ = ? O‐p‐biphenyl? X [X = H (m = 3, 6, 8, or 11) or CN (m = 11)], and R′ = (CF2)7CF3 (m = 4)} were prepared from poly(chloromethylsilylenemethylene) by reactions with the respective hydroxy‐terminated side chains in the presence of triethylamine. The product side‐chain polymers were typically greater than 90% substituted and, for R′ = ? O‐p‐biphenyl? X derivatives, they exhibited phase transitions between 27 and 150 °C involving both crystalline and liquid‐crystalline phases. The introduction of the polar p‐CN substituent to the biphenyl mesogen resulted in a substantial increase in both the isotropization temperature and the liquid‐crystalline phase range with respect to the corresponding unsubstituted biphenyl derivative. For R = (CH2)11? O‐biphenyl side chains, an analogous side‐chain liquid‐crystalline (SCLC) polysiloxane derivative of the type [Si(CH3)(O(CH2)11? O‐biphenyl)O]n was prepared by means of a catalytic dehydrogenation reaction. In contrast to the polycarbosilane bearing the same side chain, this polymer did not exhibit any liquid‐crystalline phases but melted directly from a crystalline phase to an isotropic liquid at 94 °C. Similar behavior was observed for the polycarbosilane with a fluorocarbon chain, for which a single transition from a crystalline phase to an isotropic liquid was observed at ?0.7 °C. The molecular structures of these polymers were characterized by means of gel permeation chromatography and high‐resolution NMR studies, and the crystalline and liquid‐crystalline phases of the SCLC polymers were identified by differential scanning calorimetry, polarized optical microscopy, and X‐ray diffraction. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Four new soluble polymers containing a 2,7‐carbazole unit and a 2,1,3‐benzothiadiazole unit in the main chain were synthesized by Suzuki polycondensation. Variation of the substituent groups (R) at 5‐position of 2,1,3‐benzothiadiazole unit resulted in different color emission of the copolymers. Thus, when R was ? CH3 (or ? H), the polymer showed yellow–green (or red) emission; whereas the polymers showed the emission from green to yellow–green, when R was ? CH2(CH2)5CH3 or ? CH2OCH(CH3)2. To investigate the nature of the color change, a Gaussian 03 program was used for estimation of the dihedral angles between a 5‐R‐2,1,3‐benzothiadiazole unit and a 2,7‐carbazole unit. The results showed that the different substituents at 5‐position of 2,1,3‐benzothiadiazole brought about different the dihedral angles, which gave the different conjugation levels to the polymers. Hence, the tunablity of emission color may be attributed to the different conjugation levels between 2,7‐carbazole units and 5‐R‐2,1,3‐benzothiadiazole units induced by simply changing substituent groups at 5‐position of benzothiadiazole unit. Electrochemically, the copolymers exhibited a higher oxidation potential as well as the reversible reduction behavior bearing from 2,1,3‐benzothiadiazole unit. To investigate the electroluminescent properties of the polymers, the nonoptimized devices were fabricated and the results showed that the electroluminescent emission wavelength was basically similar to that of the photoluminescent. All polymers showed good thermal stability with 5 wt % loss temperature of more than 296 °C. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 46: 1376–1387, 2008  相似文献

A series of novel stereoregular one‐handed helical poly(phenylacetylene) derivatives ( PPA‐1 and PPA‐1a~g ) bearing l ‐phenylglycinol and its phenylcarbamate residues as pendants was synthesized for use as chiral stationary phases (CSPs) for HPLC, and their chiral recognition abilities were evaluated using 13 racemates. The phenylcarbamate residues include an unsubstituted phenyl, three chloro‐substituted phenyls (3‐Cl, 4‐Cl, 3,5‐Cl2), and three methyl‐substituted phenyls (3‐CH3, 4‐CH3, 3,5‐(CH3)2). The acidity of the phenylcarbamate N‐H proton and the hydrogen bonds formed between the N‐H groups of the phenylcarbamate residues were dependent on the type, position, and the number of substituents on the phenylcarbamate residues. The chiral recognition abilities of these polymers significantly depended on the dynamic helical conformation of the main chain with more or less regularly arranged pendants. The chiral recognition abilities seem to be improved by the introduction of substituents on the phenylcarbamate residues, and PPA‐1d bearing the more acidic N‐H groups due to the 3,5‐dichloro substituents, exhibited a higher chiral recognition than the others. PPA‐1d showed an efficient chiral recognition for some racemates, and baseline separation was possible for racemates 5 , 11 , 12 , and 15 . © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Chromium(III) complexes bearing R′N(CH2PR2)2 (PCNCP) ligands have been prepared. Upon activation with methylaluminoxane, these complexes proved to be effective in the selective tri‐ and tetramerization of ethylene. The formation of either 1‐hexene or 1‐octene was found to be highly dependent on the steric bulk of the substituents R on the phosphine moieties. This observation was rationalized by using density functional theory calculations on selected steps of the metallacyclic mechanism of the ethylene oligomerization reaction.  相似文献

The syntheses and characterization of linear silarylene‐siloxane‐diacetylene polymers 3a–c and their thermal conversion to crosslinked elastomeric materials 4a–c are discussed. Inclusion of the diacetylene unit required synthesis of an appropriate monomeric species. 1,4‐Bis(dimethylaminodimethylsilyl)butadiyne [(CH3)2N? Si(CH3)2? C?C? C?C? (CH3)2Si? N(CH3)2] 2 was prepared from 1,4‐dilithio‐1,3‐butadiyne and 2 equiv of dimethylaminodimethylchlorosilane. The linear polymers were prepared via polycondensation of 2 with a series of disilanol prepolymers. The low molecular weight silarylene‐siloxane prepolymers 1a–c (terminated by hydroxyl groups) were synthesized via solution condensation of an excess amount of 1,4‐bis(hydroxydimethylsilyl)benzene with bis(dimethylamino)dimethylsilane. The linear polymers were characterized by 1H and 13C NMR, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, gel permeation chromatography, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and DSC. The elastomers exhibited long‐term oxidative stability up to 330 °C in air as determined by TGA. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 40: 88–94, 2002  相似文献

We first achieved the living cationic polymerization of azide‐containing monomer, 2‐azidoethyl vinyl ether (AzVE), with SnCl4 as a catalyst (activator) in conjunction with the HCl adduct of a vinyl ether [H‐CH2CH(OR)‐Cl; R ? CH2CH2Cl, CH2CH(CH3)2]. Despite the potentially poisoning azide group, the produced polymers possessed controlled molecular weights and fairly narrow distributions (Mw/Mn ~ 1.2) and gave block polymers with 2‐chloroethyl vinyl ether. The pendent azide groups are easily converted into various functional groups via mild and selective reactions, such as the Staudinger reduction and copper‐catalyzed azide‐alkyne 1,3‐cycloaddition (CuAAC; a “click” reaction). These reactions led to quantitative pendent functionalization into primary amine (? NH2), hydroxy (? OH), and carboxyl (? COOH) groups, at room temperature and without any acidic or basic treatment. Thus, poly(AzVE) is a versatile precursor for a wide variety of functional vinyl ether polymers with well‐defined structures and molecular weights. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. When the flexible terminal substituent changes from butoxy to hexyloxy or longer, smectic C (SC) liquid crystalline phase was firstly reported to develop from a kind of mesogen‐jacketed liquid crystalline polymer (MJLCP) whose mesogenic side groups are unbalancedly bonded to the main chain without spacers. A series of MJLCPs, poly[4,4′‐bis(4‐alkoxyphenyl)‐2‐vinylbiphenyl(carboxide)] (nC2Vp, n is the number of the carbons in the alkoxy groups, n = 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12) were designed and synthesized successfully via free radical polymerization. The molecular weights of the polymers were characterized with gel permeation chromatography, and the liquid crystalline properties were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, polarized light microscopy experiments, and 1D, 2D wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction. Comparing with the butoxy analog, the polymer with unbalanced mesogenic core and shorter flexible substituents (n = 2, 4) keeps the same smectic A (SA) phase, but other polymers with longer terminal flexible substituents (n = 6, 8, 10, and 12) can develop into a well‐defined SC phase instead of SA phase. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We report the ring‐opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) synthesis of novel (co)polymers containing the multiresponsive morpholino functional group [(3aR,7aS)?2‐(2‐morpholinoethyl)?3a,4,7,7a‐tetrahydro‐1H?4,7‐epoxyisoindole‐1,3(2H)‐dione ( M1 )]. All (co)polymers were prepared with the Grubbs' first generation initiator, RuCl2(PCy3)2CHPh, in CH2Cl2 or CH2Cl2/2,2,2‐trifluoroethanol solvent mixtures. M1 homopolymers exhibit a pH dependent aqueous solubility being fully soluble below pH 5.0 and above pH 6.0. At these intermediate values, the polymers exhibit molecular weight (MW) independent inverse temperature dependent solubility with measured cloud points (TCP) of 86 °C at pH 5.0 and 79 °C at pH 6.0. In the case of the lowest MW homopolymer (absolute MW of 9950 g/mol), there was a clear dependence of the TCP on the homopolymer solution concentration and varied over the range 78–88 °C. The TCP could be further tuned via the preparation of novel AB statistical copolymers. Incorporation of a permanently cationic comonomer as a more hydrophilic species resulted in an increase of the TCP at low incorporations (up to 10 mol %) and the complete disappearance of any temperature dependent solubility at 20 mol %. In a complementary approach, the TCP could also be lowered by the preparation of statistical copolymers of M1 with a more hydrophobic comonomer. Finally, we note that M1 homopolymers are also responsive to Na2SO4 and could be readily salted‐out of an aqueous solution salt at a [Na2SO4] of 2.0 M giving a third trigger for controlling aqueous solubility. These copolymers represent examples of new multiresponsive materials and demonstrate the effectiveness of ROMP as a synthetic tool for the preparation of new and interesting materials. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Near‐infrared (NIR) emissive conjugated polymers were prepared by palladium‐catalyzed Sonogashira polymerization of diiodobenzene‐functionalized aza‐borondipyrromethene (Aza‐BODIPY) monomers, which were substituted at 3 and 5 or 1 and 7 positions on the Aza‐BODIPY core, with 1,4‐diethynyl‐2,5‐dihexadecyloxybenzene or 3,3′‐didodecyl‐2,2′‐diethynyl‐5,5′‐bithiophene. The structures of the polymers were confirmed by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 11B NMR, Fourier transform infrared (FT‐IR) spectroscopies, and size exclusion chromatography (SEC). The optical properties were then characterized by UV–vis absorption and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopies, and theoretical calculation using density‐functional theory (DFT) method. The polymers were fusible and soluble in common organic solvents including tetrahydrofuran (THF), o‐xylene, toluene, CHCl3, and CH2Cl2, etc. The UV–vis absorption and PL spectra of the polymers shifted to long wavelength region in comparison with simple Aza‐BODIPY as the counterpart because of extended π‐conjugation of the polymers. The polymers efficiently emitted NIR light with narrow emission bands at 713~777 nm on excitation at each absorption maximum. Especially, the polymer attached 1,4‐diethynyl‐2,5‐dihexadecyloxybenzene to 3,5‐position on the core revealed intense quantum yields (?F = 24%) in this NIR region (753 nm). © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Phosphorescent conjugated polymers consisting of alternating p‐phenylene‐ethynylene and ‘para‐’ or ‘meta‐type’ Pt(II)‐salphen luminophore units have been synthesized. Side‐arms bearing different substituents (n‐alkoxy and acetylated‐sugar) have afforded contrasting emission properties that are attributed to the polymer conformation, extent of π‐stacking interactions and differences in chemical structure. Intriguing selectivity in luminescent sensing of metal ions has been observed.

Nine new kinds of thermosetting polymers with the Si(H)? C?C unit were synthesized by dehydrogenative polycondensation reactions between hydrosilanes and diethynyl compounds in the presence of a magnesia catalyst. Phenylsilane, silane, vinylsilane, and n‐octylsilane were used as the hydrosilanes, and 1,3‐diethynylbenzene, 1,4‐diethynylbenzene, 4,4′‐diethynyldiphenyl ether, and 1,3‐diethynyl‐1,1,3,3‐tetramethyldisiloxane were used as the diethynyl compounds. All the polymers were thermosetting, highly heat‐resistant, easily soluble in a solvent, and moldable. In particular, ? Si(R)H? C?C? C6H4? C?C? (R = H or CH?CH2) showed high thermal stability; the temperature of 5% weight loss was greater than 800 °C, and the residue at 1000 °C was over 90%. The thermal stabilities of the polymers were attributed to the crosslinking reaction of the Si? H and C?C bonds. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Acid‐labile, thermoresponsive polymers with pendant six‐membered cyclic acetal groups were prepared by radical polymerization of two monomers, N‐(2,2‐dimethyl‐1,3‐dioxan‐5‐yl) methacrylamide (NDMM) and N‐(2,2‐dimethyl‐1,3‐dioxan‐5‐yl) acrylamide (NDMA). The aqueous solution properties of the polymers, PNDMM and PNDMA, were studied by turbidimetry, 1H NMR, fluorescence, and DSC measurements. It is found that both polymers show sensitive and reversible phase transitions with distinct lower critical solution temperatures (LCST). Below their LCSTs, there are still some polymer aggregates as evidenced by measurements of pyrene excitation spectra and urea effects on the cloud points (CP) of polymers. The salting effect of six inorganic sodium salts on the phase transition behavior of PNDMM was investigated by turbidimetric approach. The salting‐out to salting‐in effect is in the order of SO42? > F? > Cl? > Br? > I? > SCN?, following the Hofmeister's series. pH‐dependent hydrolysis of PNDMM and PNDMA was studied by turbidimetric and 1H NMR methods. They are both pH‐sensitive and their hydrolysis rates significantly increase with decreasing pH value. The CP of PNDMM gradually increases with the acid‐triggered hydrolysis of the acetal groups and the hydrolyzed polymer with ~ 30% hydrolysis degree does not show thermally induced phase transition. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Core‐shell type hyperbranched polymers that are capable of forming unimolecular micelles and reverse micelles in aqueous and hydrocarbon medium, respectively, were synthesized via two approaches, namely AB2 + A‐R and A2 + B3 + A‐R type copolymerizations. In case of micelle‐forming polymers, an AB2 monomer carrying a decamethylene spacer was used along with heptaethylene glycol monomethyl ether (HPEG) as the A‐R type comonomer. One the other hand, for the preparation of reverse micelle‐forming polymers, an AB2 monomer containing an oligo(oxyethylene) spacer was used along with cetyl alcohol as the A‐R type comonomer. The former was readily soluble in water while the latter was soluble in hydrocarbon solvents like hexane. NMR spectral studies confirmed that both the approaches generated highly branched structures wherein about 65–70% of the terminal B groups were capped by the A‐R comonomer. Dye‐uptake measurements revealed that the polymers prepared via the AB2 + A‐R approach exhibited a significantly larger uptake compared with those prepared via the A2 + B3 + A‐R approach. This suggests that the AB2 + A‐R approach generates hyperbranched polymers with better defined core‐shell topology when compared with polymers prepared via the A2 + B3 + A‐R approach, which is in accordance with previous studies that suggest that A2 + B3 approach yields polymers with significantly lower branching levels and consequently less compact structures. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. CuI‐based coordination polymers with 1, 2‐ethanedithiol, 3, 6‐dioxa‐1, 8‐octanedithiol and 3‐oxa‐1, 5‐pentanedinitrile as respectively μ‐S, S′ and μ‐N, N′ bridging ligands have been prepared by reaction of CuI with the appropriate alkane derivative in acetonitrile. equation/tex2gif-stack-1.gif[Cu(HSCH2CH2SH)2]I ( 1 ) contains 44 cationic nets, equation/tex2gif-stack-2.gif[(CuI)2(HSCH2CH2OCH2CH2OCH2CH2SH)] ( 2 ) neutral layers in which stairlike CuI double chains are linked by dithiol spacers. In contrast to these 2D polymers, equation/tex2gif-stack-3.gif[CuI(NCCH2CH2OCH2CH2CN)] ( 3 ) and equation/tex2gif-stack-4.gif[(CuI)4(NCCH2CH2OCH2CH2CN)2] ( 4 ) both contain infinite chains with respectively (CuI)2 rings and distorted (CuI)4 cubes as building units. Solvothermal reaction of CuI with the thiacrown ether 1, 4, 10‐trithia‐15‐crown‐5 (1, 4, 10TT15C5) in acetonitrile affords the lamellar coordination polymer equation/tex2gif-stack-5.gif[(CuI)3(1, 4, 10TT15C5)] ( 7 ) in which copper atoms of individual CuI double chains are bridged in a μ‐S1, S4 manner. The third sulphur atom S10 of the thiacrown ether coordinates a copper(I) atom from a parallel chain to generate a 2D network.  相似文献
