It is weft known that Lamb waves in a plate with a mirror plane can be separated into two uncoupled sets: symmetric and anti-symmetric modes. Based on this property, we present a revised plane wave expansion method (PWE) to calculate the band structure of a phononie crystal (PC) plate with a mirror plane. The developed PWE method can be used to calculate the band structure of symmetric and anti-symmetric modes separately, by which the depending relationship between the partial acoustic band gap (PABG), which belongs to the symmetric and anti-symmetric modes alternatively, and the position of the scatterers can be determined. As an example of its application, the band structure of the Lamb modes in a two-dimensional PC plate with two layers of void circular inclusions is investigated. The results show that the band structure for the symmetric and anti-symmetric modes can be changed by the position of the scatterers drastically, and larger PABGs will be opened when the scatterers are inserted into the area of the plate, where the elastic potential energy is concentrated.  相似文献

Using finite element method, we have made a theoretically study of the band structure of Lamb wave in a locally resonant phononic crystal strip waveguide with periodic soft rubber attached on the two sides of epoxy main plate. The numerical results show that the Lamb wave band gap based on local resonant mechanism can be opened up in the stub strip waveguides, and the width of the local resonant band gap is narrower than that based on the Bragg scattering mechanism. The results also show that the stub shape and width have influence on the frequency and width of the Lamb wave band gap.  相似文献

We study electrically forced vibrations of a crystal plate of AT-cut quartz carrying a thin mass layer operating as a quartz crystal microbalance for mass sensing. The mass layer is imperfectly bonded to the crystal plate with their interface described by the so-called interface-slip model which allows a discontinuity of the tangential interface displacement. Mindlin’s equations for piezoelectric plates are used. An analytical solution is obtained. The electrical impedance is calculated. The effects of an elastic interface and a viscoelastic interface are examined.  相似文献

We study the propagation of thickness-twist (TT) waves in a crystal plate of AT-cut quartz with periodically varying, piecewise constant thickness. The scalar differential equation by Tiersten and Smythe is employed. The problem is found to be mathematically equivalent to the motion of an electron in a periodic potential field governed by Schrodinger’s equation. An analytical solution is obtained. Numerical results show that the eigenvalue (frequency) spectrum of the waves has a band structure with allowed and forbidden bands. Therefore, for TT waves, plates with periodically varying thickness can be considered as phononic crystals. The effects of various parameters on the frequency spectrum are examined.  相似文献

Electrical parameters like resistance and quality factor of a quartz crystal resonator cannot be determined through vibration analysis without considering the presence of material dissipation. In this study, we use the first-order Mindlin plate equations of piezoelectric plates for thickness-shear vibrations of a simple resonator model with partial electrodes. We derive the expressions of electrical parameters with emphasis on the resistance that is related to the imaginary part of complex elastic constants, or the viscosity, of quartz crystal. Since all electrical parameters are frequency dependent, this procedure provides the chance to study the frequency behavior of crystal resonators with a direct formulation. We understand that the electrical parameters are strongly affected by the manufacturing process, with the plating techniques in particular, but the theoretical approach we presented here will be the first step for the precise estimation of such parameters and their further applications in the analysis of nonlinear behavior of resonators. We calculated the parameters from our simple resonator model of AT-cut quartz crystal with the first-order Mindlin plate theory to demonstrate the procedure and show that the numerical results are consistent with earlier measurements.  相似文献

兰姆波在声子晶体薄板中的传播特性因其在无损检测、 减振技术和传感器件等领域的潜在应用价值而受到越来越多的关注. 本文采用超原胞平面波展开法和有限元法系统地研究了复合对称结构声子晶体薄板中的兰姆波超宽部分禁带. 结果表明: 对于在薄板侧面对称地嵌入双层矩形空气柱构成的复杂系统, 低阶兰姆波部分带隙结构极为丰富. 将晶格常数(L)和板厚(H) 比值具有匹配关系的兰姆波声子晶体衔接构成复合结构, 低阶兰姆波部分禁带宽度因各组分结构的部分禁带交叠而得到显著拓宽, 可在低频超宽频带内实现对特定低阶兰姆波模式良好的模式选择功能. 该研究结果对兰姆波缺陷无损检测中模式优化选择及兰姆波单向导通器件设计等方面具有重要意义.  相似文献

We study coupled face-shear (FS) and thickness-twist (TT) motions of a piezoelectric plate of monoclinic crystals with mass layers on the central parts of the plate surfaces. The plate is driven by a lateral electric field. Mindlin’s first-order theory of piezoelectric plates is used. An analytical solution is obtained. Numerical results are presented for an AT-cut quartz plate, including the motional capacitance of the plate as a resonator and the vibration modes trapped under the mass layers in the central portion of the plate. The relationship between the dimension of the mass layers and the number of trapped modes is examined.  相似文献

We suggest that Lamb wave band gaps in one-dimensional phononic crystals can be substantially enlarged by using multiple heterostructures which consist of several pieces of phononic crystal with different ratios of the thickness to the lattice period. This is possible because each substructure shows a different band gap and the band structure of a Lamb wave is strongly affected by the ratio of the plate thickness to the lattice period. The phononic band structure of two-dimensional phononic guides is numerically studied. A plane wave expansion method is used to calculate the dispersion relations of guided elastic waves in these periodic media, including 2D phononic plates and thin layered periodic arrangements. We show that, for any guided elastic wave, Lamb or generalised Lamb modes, stop bands appear in the dispersion curves, displaying a phononic band structure in both cases.  相似文献

Using the finite element method (FEM), we investigate the existence of absolute band gaps and localized modes associated with a guide in thin films of phononic crystals. Two different structures based on two-dimensional (2D) phononic crystals are considered, namely a free standing plate and a plate deposited on a silicon substrate. The 2D phononic crystal is constituted by a square array of cylindrical holes drilled in an active piezoelectric PZT5A matrix. We demonstrate the existence of absolute band gap in the band structure of the phononic crystal plate and, then, the possibility of guided modes inside a linear defect created by removing one row of air holes. In the case of the supported plate, we show the existence of an absolute forbidden band in the plate modes when the thickness of the substrate significantly exceeds the plate thickness.  相似文献

Guided Lamb waves can be used for a fast inspection of large areas, e.g. the detection of cracks at rivet holes in the fuselage of airplanes. When the guided wave hits a discontinuity like a hole, a typical scattered displacement field is obtained. A change of the scattered field indicates the development of a crack. In the experiments, the first anti-symmetric mode A0 of Lamb waves in plates is excited selectively by means of a piezoelectric transducer. The used frequency range is below the cut-off frequencies of higher wave modes. The scattered field around undamaged and damaged holes is measured on a grid around the hole with a heterodyne laser interferometer. Two types of damage are introduced: a notch cut with a very fine saw blade, and a fatigue grown crack. A significant change in the scattered field due to the defect is seen. Good agreement of the experimental results with theoretical calculations is obtained. The wave propagation is studied using Mindlin's theory of plates. The scattered field is calculated analytically and using finite difference methods (FDMs).  相似文献

设计了一种由涂有硬质材料涂层的柱状压电散射体周期性连接在四个环氧树脂薄板上构成的具有大带宽的新型二维压电声子晶体板,并利用有限元方法计算了该声子晶体板的能带结构、传输损失谱和位移矢量场.研究表明:与二组元材料构成的传统声子晶体板相比,新设计的声子晶体板的第一完全带隙频率更低,并且带宽扩大了5倍;通过在压电体表面上施加不同的电边界条件,可以实现多条完全带隙的主动调控;压电效应对能带结构有很大的影响,并且有利于完全带隙的扩大与形成.基于带隙的可调谐性,分析了可切换路径的压电声子晶体板波导,结果表明可以通过改变电边界条件来限制弹性波能量流.  相似文献

The influence of liquid layers on the propagation of Lamb waves in a plate of finite thickness is studied theoretically. The dispersion equations of Lamb waves in a plate bordered with layers of liquids are derived. Numerical solutions of the equations show that the phase velocity of Lamb waves changes with the thickness of the liquid layers. For the lowest antisymmetrical mode of very thin plates, the numerical results calculated from the dispersion equations are compared with those derived from the bending wave acoustic impedance approach. The limitation of the latter is discussed. Applications of Lamb waves pertinent to biosensing are also presented.  相似文献

The reflection of obliquely incident symmetric and anti-symmetric Lamb wave modes at the edge of a plate is studied. Both in-plane and Shear-Horizontal (SH) reflected wave modes are spawned by an obliquely incident in-plane Lamb wave mode. Energy reflection coefficients are calculated for the reflected wave modes as a function of frequency and angle of incidence. This is done by using the method of orthogonal mode decomposition and by enforcing traction free conditions at the plate edge using the method of collocation. A PZT sensor network, affixed to an Aluminum plate, is used to experimentally verify the predictions of the analysis. Experimental results provide support for the analytically determined results.  相似文献

Paper is presented the results of computer simulation. Effect of the homogeneous dc electric field influence on the propagation of zero and first order Lamb and SH waves in piezoelectric langasite single crystal plates for a lot of cuts and directions have been calculated. Crystalline directions and cuts with maximal and minimal influence of dc electric field have indicated. Effect of hybridization of plate modes has been discussed.  相似文献

The super-cell plane wave expansion method is employed to calculate band structures for the design of a silicon-based one-dimensional phononic crystal plate with large absolute forbidden bands. In this method, a low impedance medium is introduced to replace the free stress boundary, which largely reduces the computational complexity. The dependence of band gaps on structural parameters is investigated in detail. To prove the validity of the super-cell plane wave expansion, the transmitted power spectra of the Lamb wave are calculated by using a finite element method. With the detailed computation, the band-gap of a one-dimensional plate can be designed as required with appropriate structural parameters, which provides a guide to the fabrication of a Lamb wave phononic crystal.  相似文献

从理论上提出一种由局域共振单元组成的声子晶体低频多通道滤波模型.在二维三组元局域共振声子晶体中引入不同填充率的共振单元构成波导结构,通过有限元法计算出其能带结构、透射曲线和透射场图.结果显示:这种设计能够在低频带隙范围内不同填充率散射体的共振频率附近产生新的分立模,且这些分立模能够使相应的声波在声子晶体中沿波导方向传播;这些分立模只与相应的共振单元相关,抗干扰能力强.所得结果为低频多通道滤波器的设计提供了一种新的理论依据.  相似文献

Much of previous work has been devoted in studying complete band gaps for bulk phononic crystal (PC). In this paper, we theoretically investigate the existence and widths of these gaps for PC plates. We focus our attention on steel rods of square cross sectional area embedded in epoxy matrix. The equations for calculating the dispersion relation for square rods in a square or a triangular lattice have been derived. Our analysis is based on super cell plane wave expansion (SC-PWE) method. The influence of inclusions filling factor and plate thickness on the existence and width of the phononic band gaps has been discussed. Our calculations show that there is a certain filling factor (= 0.55) below which arrangement of square rods in a triangular lattice is superior to the arrangement in a square lattice. A comparison between square and circular cross sectional rods reveals that the former has superior normalized gap width than the latter in case of a square lattice. This situation is switched in case of a triangular lattice. Moreover, a maximum normalized gap width of 0.7 can be achieved for PC plate of square rods embedded in a square lattice and having height 90% of the lattice constant.  相似文献

将点缺陷阵列应用于声子晶体波导,提出一种具有高定向辐射性能的复合声子晶体波导. 基于有限元法的数值分析表明,附加到声子晶体波导表面的点缺陷阵列可激发出作为次级声源的谐振模. 谐振模辐射的声波与波导出射端口直接辐射的声波相互干涉,可以使声子晶体波导的法向辐射声压提高161.21%、发散角减小85.35%. 当点缺陷的数目增大到一定程度后,波导的定向辐射性能不再有明显的改善. 该研究为改善波导的定向辐射性能提供了一种新方法. 关键词: 声子晶体波导 点缺陷 谐振模 定向辐射  相似文献
